Wawel Cathedral was a highlight of our winter trip and provided an unforgettable experience for our family of five. The mix of architectural styles is fascinating and the cathedral feels like a true journey through history as you explore the various chapels and royal tombs. Even in the cold of winter, the hilltop views and the majestic presence of the building are absolutely worth the walk. It is an essential stop for any family looking to immerse themselves in the deep heritage and beauty of the region.

A beautiful experience, with one ticket that was 26 złotych per person we got to visit the whole Cathedral, the catacombs under and two museums, one right in front of the cathedral and one outside. The staff were all really lovely and kindly answered our questions when we asked for directions to the museums. Sadly, you cannot take pictures inside, but it's really beautiful. An experience to do if you come to Krakow!

It was a perfect day to see the many wonderful sites at Wawel fortress & cathedral. Access to all the grounds was free, there were some areas that had paid tours you could take. Absolutely lovely, thank you to the wonderful Polish people for allowing their guests to see their beautiful landmarks.

Wawel Cathedral is truly magnificent – a place where history and architecture meet in breathtaking harmony. The bells are especially impressive, resonating with a deep, solemn beauty that fills the entire space. Visitors should be mindful, however, that some stairways are quite steep and certain passageways can be narrow. Despite this, the experience is unforgettable, offering a remarkable glimpse into centuries of heritage and craftsmanship.

It’s a wonderful place. Very beautiful, with an interesting structure and history. The inside is well worth seeing if you like history and culture. Climbing up to the bell was also fun, and you can see part of the city from there.

Exceptional experience The outside architecture is great as well as the inside You can go to the top to see the royal Sigismund bell, the largest of the five bells of the cathedral. The crypts are very interesting as well and very detailed. I suggest you book the tickets in advance since it gets crowded enough

A piece of art, inside out. The magnificence of the interior is astonishing, with amazing tapisseries, vaults, kings tombs, poets tombs, and beautiful small chapels along the right wing of the cathedral. Not to forget to climb in search for the 3 bells in the tour.

A must-see if you're visiting Krakow. Absolutely beautiful. No pics allowed inside the cathedral but that helps you enjoy the architecture, artistry, history and most of all be reverent in this very holy cathedral.

Yelp
Wawel Cathedral was a beautiful cathedral to visit in the heart of historic Kraków. The cathedral and royal castle were built sometime around the 13th-14th century and are beautiful works of art. There is a large hill to climb from the main road to get up to this, but it is definitely worth the trek. I bought tickets to visit the cathedral and it cost me under $10 USD and included an audio guide that knew where it was based on some sort of location sensor. This was great cause I didn't know much about the castle before, but didn't feel like going on a guided tour. The cathedral was absolutely beautiful in sign with very elegant and elaborate artwork, decor, and architecture. It was truly something to behold. There was also a very nice climb you could optionally do to see the top of the bell tower which I did. It was beautiful to see Kraków from so high up and considering the city is pretty low you could really see everything from up there. Also, the ticket to the cathedral gained you access to a smaller museum. It was okay, honestly not worth visiting, but it was included so why not! If you're visiting Kraków, I think this is a must see!
