We visited Wawel Castle and the cathedral really impressed us. You can feel the history and atmosphere everywhere. The interior is beautifully decorated, and knowing Polish kings were crowned there is quite moving. Definitely worth a visit, especially if you’re in Krakow. :)

Wawel Cathedral blew me away! Perched on Wawel Hill, this 14th-century Gothic beauty is where Polish kings were crowned and laid to rest – you can literally feel the history in its walls. The royal tombs, the stunning Sigismund Chapel, and the crypts are a must-see. Entry is about 23 PLN, and trust me, going early in the morning makes it way more peaceful. It’s not just a cathedral – it’s like stepping into the heart of Poland’s story.

Great experience to visit, would recommend if you are close by, Just that you have to pay for a lot of different stuff to see all the attractions

A beautiful cathedral, but not one of the most beautiful in Europe. It is worth visiting the crypt and climbing the bell tower (although you don't have an extraordinary view from here).

Impressive construction, amazing details and architecture! The magnificent Cathedral ( that is nearly 1000 years old ) is definitely a place that you must visit when in Krakow!

So much history inside! The view from the bell tower is breathtaking! I’d recommend buying tickets online, the actual que is too long and tiring.

I meet the most amazing people in Poland. Yesterday, I met a nice gentleman who asked if I knew about Tadeusz Kościuszko? I said, no. He shared historical facts with me regarding Tadeusz Kościuszko and Booker T. Washington. See, Polish people be dropping knowledge on me and I appreciate them for that as it allows me to share what I learn with others. You may research these 2 and read for yourself. Therefore, I had to take his advice and return up the hill to the Wawel Cathedral to pay my respects and admiration for a true revolutionary hero for All! 🙏🏽🫶🏽😊🇵🇱

Yelp
Wawel Cathedral was a beautiful cathedral to visit in the heart of historic Kraków. The cathedral and royal castle were built sometime around the 13th-14th century and are beautiful works of art. There is a large hill to climb from the main road to get up to this, but it is definitely worth the trek. I bought tickets to visit the cathedral and it cost me under $10 USD and included an audio guide that knew where it was based on some sort of location sensor. This was great cause I didn't know much about the castle before, but didn't feel like going on a guided tour. The cathedral was absolutely beautiful in sign with very elegant and elaborate artwork, decor, and architecture. It was truly something to behold. There was also a very nice climb you could optionally do to see the top of the bell tower which I did. It was beautiful to see Kraków from so high up and considering the city is pretty low you could really see everything from up there. Also, the ticket to the cathedral gained you access to a smaller museum. It was okay, honestly not worth visiting, but it was included so why not! If you're visiting Kraków, I think this is a must see!
