"Chill with the Locals at Wayo's Bar This understated beach bar is one of Ambergris Caye’s best-kept secrets that is quickly getting out. Owned by “Wayo from Cayo”, Wayo’s has become my regular hang out spot over the past two years. Wayo and his wife Dee can be found at the bar every day, often sharing a drink with many of the regulars. They've developed longstanding relationships with countless locals and a number of tourists, many of whom come back every few months to see Wayo and the crew. The main bartenders, Ruby and Archie, will not only serve up some great drinks, they are a wealth of information on what to do and see in San Pedro. You’d be hard put to find a more chill spot to relax right on the beach. Be sure to try a local specialty — the Michelada. Made with beer and a mix of spices, this is Belize’s version of the Bloody Mary and the best cure for a hangover! Open daily, 10am to midnight."

love the layout and Pancho was so great to us. He offered to hold the baby while I ate since they don’t have baby seats which is just above and beyond customer service. We ended up taking it to go because everyone was tired and the music was too loud for the kiddos. The food was actually pretty bad. The steak bites we thought were a meal and thought my 2.5 year old and 7 year old could share one and my 240 lb husband could eat one as his meal but no. There was like nothing there but about 1/10 of an actual meal. I guess we are American and just eat bigger portions. My “not so small salad” was covered in green pepper. More green pepper than lettuce. I did not like it but the shrimp I added onto it was great there was just only like 6-7 pieces and they were the tiniest shrimp possible. I basically paid $1 per tiny tiny tiny shrimp. The pretzel bites were the only thing good we brought home. It was just really bad so unfortunately we will not be going back during our 2 weeks stay.

I think they forgot about our Alfredo? But otherwise everything was amazing. Delicious food, reasonable prices, friendly energy, good music, and an awesome location out over the Caribbean Sea. Gorgeous by night and by day.

This place has a very good vibe due to good food, great DJ (Saturday night) and extremely friendly service. Its located literately above the ocean so you get a nice breeze. You must try the coco mojito! 🤤

Didn't eat this time but drinks are good. Prices are good or average. The band was good and this place was rocking. There were some dogs wandering around that needed petting. I had a great time here

Extremely pleasant staff, fast, very courteous, friendly and funny too!
I checked out two other places before WAY-O'S and decided then that this was where I would be watching Superbowl.
Highly recommend.

Friendly service with a humorous server. Got the pulled pork sliders and liked them. Small and simple snack at a cost of $25 BZD ($12.50 USD). Had many great drinks and is a real cool spot on the water.

Drinks are veryyyy strong. Got the wayomelon hoping for a sweet watermelon drink but it was very very strong and had only a slight taste of watermelon. The drinks come strong so beware! If you like that then it’s worth it. If you’re into to sweeter drinks I wouldn’t get this one. There was music playing and the restaurant bar was in the water so it was beautiful. Dog friendly as well.
