What a delight! This small, magical farm has waves of lavender sweeping up the hill as soon as you turn into the grounds. They've placed chairs and couches and a couple of bathtubs on the perimeter for taking the cutest pics imaginable. You can cut your own bunch of lavender for $10, and there are lots of varieties to choose from, plus a "bunch" is a big ole handful, so you get your money's worth. Everyone is so nice that you'll even enjoy waiting in line! (Note: lots of happy bees, but beware if that's not your thing.)

Our friend told us about this place, and we decided to tag along with her on July 3. I don't like bugs so I didn't pick any lavender, but it was a nice place to hang around. We got the lavender marionberry lemonade which was tasty. Because it was a good experience here, we went to another lavender farm near Vista House a few days later. Let's just say theirs didn't impress us. Wayward Winds Lavender Farm is not only bigger, but it's also well maintained.

I visited one of the largest lavender farms in Oregon with my family and we had such a fantastic time! The farm offers fun events and activities for the entire family, including couples date nights with music, and we were blown away by the breathtaking scenery. The kids really enjoyed themselves, especially during the magical butterfly release. This has become a summer family favorite outing for us, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable experience. You can purchase tickets easily, and it's definitely worth the visit. They have an instagram account for more information about their events and activities. A perfect blend of nature, entertainment, and family fun.

Google
Lovely lavender farm for u-pick lavenders and also purchase lavender products. You can enjoy the fragrant smell of lavender while drinking a cup of lavender lemonade. The staff are friendly and there is parking.

A great way to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The grounds are beautiful . We enjoyed walking around and talking pictures and buying lavender souvenirs in the gift shop. A magical, beautiful and peaceful place. Highly recommend this place to everyone ! The lemonade we had in the lavender garden was extremely refreshing. It is even more refreshing than regular lemonade and the lavender helps as a relaxant to calm the nerves and body.

I had the opportunity to try some of their lavender products, including lavender oil, lavender honey, and lavender salt bath, all of which were amazing. I highly recommend a visit to this farm for anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing experience and to try some fantastic lavender products Lavender soda & Lavender iced tea were great! And not too sweet

We had such a lovely time today at this lavender farm. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Offered multiple treats to my dog, offered to take our photos. It was peaceful and beautiful. We highly recommend and will be returning many, many more times. Thank you so much!

Yelp
Not sure what happened to my review and photos from last year, but know this farm is awesome and one of the largest lavender farms in the valley. The shop is equally wonderful, and the lavender lemonade is a must try. Check out the website--it's also one setting for the delightful farm to table dining events. Even if you don't love lavender, visit this awesome farm for the beautiful views and rustic farm vibes.

Yelp
This is a very beautiful lavender farm. It's a little hidden and you have to take a small detour off the beaten path down a gravel road to arrive here. I always need to use my GPS to find this place even though I have been here at least 3 or 4 times. They have a small little gift shop and they also serve lots of different teas, lemonades, and snow cones with a variety of lavender flavors. I enjoy the whole peacefulness of this place. A couple of years ago they also hosted a lovely Yelp event. Some lavender places charge an admission fee or for parking, but this place in 2025 is still free and beautiful. I even saw a few artists painting the fields. It's tucked into the valley and is very private and serene. I ordered a lavender raspberry lemonade and it was delicious. They added a new wooden gazebo type space this year which is more handicap friendly than the original small deck they have connected to the drink window. The only downside I could see was that all the plastic drink cups were going into the trash cans. I am a big advocate for recycling when I can, and if I go back Im going to bring my own cup and see if I can use it when ordering a drink. The amount of plastic just seemed overwhelming, and I felt guilty throwing my cup away. Im hoping maybe they can switch to paper cups or something that seems more biodegradable as an alternative or have an option to recycle the cups next time. Overall, just a sweet little magical spot for lavender and quiet nature reflections.

Yelp
This place has become an annual tradition for us. Our family loves to pop in to explore and chill with a lavender lemonade and get in a few photos which this place is perfect for.

Yelp
A delightful experience for the senses, especially my olfactory ones as I stepped onto the farm filled with abundant blooming lavender bushes that expunged the most calming scents. The various shades of vanilla cream to royal purple blooms was a pleasure to behold. I love all the vintage pieces if seating and decor including porcelain bath tubs and a vintage old Chevy Truck. The variety of products made or infused with lavender were plentiful including soaps, syrups, lemonade and scone mixes and even vinegar. A lovely place to take some beautiful pictures and buy some lavender including pick your own bunches of them!

Yelp
Had been wanting to come here since last year but it's a lil bit of a road trip from Portland. Finally got the chance and enjoyed this cute lavender farm. Only spent about an hour here and felt like it was plenty of time. There are VERY many bees so be aware of that if afraid of or allergic. They don't really bother you though if you don't bother them. There's also not much shade so it gets pretty hot and sweaty on a sunny day. Sunscreen would be a good idea. Cute little market area and refreshing lemonades. Smells amazing and has many photo opportunities.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing experience! My family was visiting so I took them to the lavender farm and they loved it! The smell of lavender is beautiful. The bumble bees were drunk on lavender so they didn't care about people walking around. Don't be afraid of them :) will definitely be back again!

Yelp
Second year enjoying the lavender farm. Up in the hills, beautiful area. Be aware of the bees- they're just getting some purple juice. Very special place to walk the rows of lavender. They have a test area up in the back. Along with some farm animals. I would suggest to maybe were bug repellent as I got some bites. Also a cute little lavender maze. And lots of photography spots with fun couches and bathtubs. The field is set up for what purpose you are picking for/ They have a lavender section to make great sachets and a lavender section to make foods. Staff is wonderful. The lemonade drinks are also great! Can't wait for next year.

Yelp
What a lovely lavender farm! My gal pals and I signed up for their *free* Lavender 101 class and it was so informative! Our instructor was so patient while we waited for a friend to join us. We were able to beat the heat under a shaded tree and grab some refreshing lavender lemonade (lavender raspberry was the best). The fields were definitely showing off that day and photographers are abundant across the field taking advantage of the scenery. They had a small outdoor store to buy lavender products and a vintage furniture store. You could pick lavender bundles to take home and staff was super helpful. Def a great place to bring a group!

Yelp
Adorable place with lots of events and great areas to relax. Would recommend, especially for those visiting the area.

Yelp
This was a nice place to visit. In addition to picking lavender they had a lot of products. This place is something to do that is really different. They have onsite parking and then it's a very quick walk to the fields. The family that runs the place is very friend and we had a great time talking. Their products are very professionally done but are unique. They also had some cold beverages available for purchase and place to sit with shade. It was really a fun afternoon.

Yelp
I am being kind with three stars since the farm and store are inaccessible for anyone with mobility issues. First, my iPhone maps app had us going in loops to get here. When you arrive, you park in a sloped field. For my 85-year-old Mom, my sister recently healed from a broken bone, and me with neurological issues, the trek from our car to the nearest patch of lavender (in the parking lot area), was difficult at best because it was all uphill and there were treacherous holes along the way. There was no way we could explore more nor see the shop. So like I said, three stars for pretty lavender, but they should make it clear on their website how inaccessible the farm and store are.

Yelp
Professional photographer on site, amazing lavender lemonades (my favorite I tried was the rose), so many varieties of lavender, and the most kind staff, what more could you want? A group of friends and I went for a birthday celebration. When staff found out they gifted the birthday person a small bundle of culinary lavender and wishes us all a lovely day. They also took a picture of our group as we snacked on a picnic at their tables. Would love to come back! If you're afraid of bees, this may be a challenge for you. They respect you if you respect them, but know that there are many pollinators at work.

Yelp
It's a nice place to visit that wasnt too far from downtown to see some lavender. Sadly we went a little later so a lot of the lavenders were cut by others. Still pretty none the less and it smelled amazing. One of the vals up front didnt know much though. Asked about prices and she said "idk" and just stared at us. Then my cousin had to ask her to ask someone else to find out. It felt like pulling teeth to get an answer from here. Overall I wanted to get some pictures which is why we went and I loved that they had little chairs and what not around. The chickens did make one area smell but that's easily avoidable when we walk away from there.

Yelp
The good: This place smells wonderful, obviously, which is its main appeal for me. I visited mid-summer when the fields were in full bloom. I greatly enjoyed watching the friendly bumblebees happily going about their business in the flowers. I loved the variety of items in the little store. Pricing is in line with other lavender fields in the area. They have fun seating areas in several places that are perfect for photos, either as selfies or as small groups. The less-good: The parking area is down a hill from the main shopping area without a very clear/obvious path; being out of shape made that more challenging than I'd like it to be (which is on me) but if you tend toward sore knees while walking just be aware of that. It might be worth waiting for a good parking spot. The plants are surrounded by black plastic on the ground, as I have seen at other lavender farms - this stuff reflects heat like crazy. Bring water to drink and stay hydrated! There is not a lot of signage on where to find anything or employees available to ask; nice if you want to aimlessly wander, not so great if you are actually looking for something. The store area is set up so it's actually part of the line to pay - like the candy in grocery stores - so you can't look at items without standing in line or getting super close to people in line and looking like you're trying to cut in front of them, and if you are in line and the person in front of you moves, it feels like you're holding up the line if you take more time browsing the items. There was no social distancing happening which made this feel extra challenging. Overall, nice place, huge fields, and if you want to get photos of yourself in a lavender field you can definitely do that here. It felt more like a touristy-place than a relaxing-place to me.

Yelp
My family stayed on the farm overnight for a little fee on our RV. They sell a wide array of lavender products, my favorites being the cookies and syrup. We were lucky to catch a wreath making class and my wife had a lot of fun making it, so make sure to check their events calendar especially during harvest season.

Yelp
What a cute lavender farm to visit in Newberg! There's a lavender maze, option to u-pick in the field or pick a bouquet at the stand. I appreciate the option to make the bouquet a gift with tissue paper. In the country store there are all sorts of handcrafted goods and refreshing lemonade to cool off from the hot summer sun. As someone who hasn't been to a lavender farm I would have appreciated reassuring signs or information from staff that although there are a lot of bees they are friendly bumble bees and there's a low risk of getting stung.

Yelp
Wayward Winds in season, take it slow Wait for them to tell you when to go Please don't make any sudden moves You don't want the bees to get confused Lavenders the reason, don't you know Twenty Øne Piløts on the radio Please don't make another excuse Aromatics can take the heathen out of you

Yelp
A fun place to go pick lavender. Lots of different varieties to pick from and lots of photo opportunities. A cute little shop with a large variety of products and a grab a drink to enjoy in the shade.

Yelp
The wayward winds lavender festival was a lovely way to spend a relaxing Friday afternoon as the aroma of lavender filled the air the scene of all the beautiful blossoms of lavender is very breathtaking. We were given a basket along with the scissors to go cut our own. We learned about the different varieties of lavender that are available. We cut more than we needed and it was a delight to see the bees buzzing in about collecting the pollen and never wanting to disturb us. They would just gently move off of the branches that we were cutting and onto another plenty of lavender for all. There was a little shop with various lavender-based products to purchase along with lavender plants you can take home to plant for yourself. Finally we relaxed with the distraction of lavender infused lemonade in a variety of flavors it was very pleasant and a lovely way to wrap up our lavender adventure. We even wandered through the lavender maze. Wayward Winds is something of a delight, everyone there is helpful and friendly

Yelp
Loved our visit today !! It was a beautiful drive up there, & not too far from Salem. They have signs as you get closer to the property telling you exactly where to turn & where to park. Which was helpful, it was our first time being in that area. As soon as we got close I could smell the Lavender, it smelled AMAZING !!! There were only a couple of other people there, that was nice, there was plenty of parking & it was like having the place to ourselves. They provide scissors & baskets so you can cut your own bouquet/bushels. They also tell you where you should cut on the plant which is helpful. There is a shaded canopy area (which is where you get your scissors & baskets & pay) that serves cold drinks, lemonades, Italian sodas, & water. They have a variety of lavender products for sale as well..Lotion, oil, soaps, lavender honey, chocolate sauce..etc. I got a bouquet of Lavender & a jar of the Lavender Honey, also a cute neck cooling thing for my fiance. The Rottweiler & the black dog were super friendly, make sure to give them a pat & you say hello !!!

Yelp
Visited this weekend on Sunday afternoon. It's very beautiful and I loved the vignettes for taking pictures. Their products to buy are very nice and a good variety. I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! The gal at the table didn't offer any explanation on where the scissors were or what to bundle the lavender with. Every farm does it differently I get that. She was not helpful with any questions I had. When I was done picking I paid for the bundle and a item from their shop. The girls running the register were not friendly at all, not a thank you from them for stopping out to the farm. I ordered a lemonade so I could sit the shade for a bit and that gal said nothing at all just handed me my beverage I said thank you to her but nothing in return and she turned away. It was not busy at all. I encountered 4 different people that worked there and their attitude was all the same, as if I was at Walmart, just a blah attitude. I expected more from a locally owned business.

Yelp
Wayward Winds is my FAVORITE lavender farm! Super relaxed, plenty of U-Pick lavender, and lots of lovely lavender products for sale. A visit to Wayward Winds is one of the highlights of our Summer.
