My first visit here and I was immediately in love with the beautiful desert landscape.|I only spent 1 night however, they allowed me to partake in all the classes and juices for 2 days.|The only service I had was a facial by Nancy and she did an excellent job, very relaxing.|All the staff were attentive and constantly checked in to make sure things were going well.|There were lots of nooks and places with seating and lounge chairs nestled throughout the property. All very inviting for reflection and quiet time. I especially loved the floating beds.|My room was the more economical Colony room, it was basic a bit stark but clean and functional. Bedding, towels and pillows very comfortable and I had a good nights sleep.|I especially loved the salt water pool, the decor is stunning and the juice bar is conveniently located right there. The only thing keeping this from a 5 star experience is I thought it was located on a mineral springs. It is not. Many places in the area are and the mineral waters should be experienced by everyone.|Besides that it was a healthy break from everyday life.

I’ve been here twice for Fri-Sun program. It was wonderful. I was a little apprehensive about the colonic. But my technician was so great that she put me at ease. Loved the outdoor hot sauna the grounds are beautiful. Saw some things I didn’t see the first time around. Wouldn’t miss the digestive class. It’s very informative. The pool is fantastic and they have a guitarist playing very relaxing music by the pool. Everybody was so nice and professional. I will be going for my third time at the end of the month. I am so excited.

So, What’s the Big Deal About We Care? Have your friends been raving about We Care, and you're still wondering what all the fuss is about? Let me take the mystery out of it. We Care is Shangri-La. Located in Desert Hot Springs, CA—just outside Palm Springs—We Care is where your healing journey begins. You lose weight, your skin glows, you rest deeply, you're uplifted by transformative classes, moved by unforgettable experiences, and cared for through healing treatments. You make new friends, notice the flowers, and feel surrounded by genuine love and attention. The setting is stunning, serene, and intimate. While the grounds are expansive and lush, the retreat hosts just 30 rooms, so the attention is incredibly personal. Everyone knows your name. You’re not a guest—you’re part of something amazing. It’s your fantasy come to life. And it's family-run. Susana, who founded We Care in the 1980s in her own living room (!), still inspires with her deep wisdom about health and wellness. Her daughter, Susy, has expanded the retreat with breathtaking vision, elevating every corner of the experience with unmatched taste and care. Then there’s Jim—the kind of general manager everyone wishes they had. With a background spanning every kind of business and even a medic’s license, he works personally with every team member and handles challenges with calm precision. (Yes, there was a real emergency recently—and Jim resolved it solo.) The therapists are world-class. The rooms are immaculate. The desert wildlife—rabbits, roadrunners—adds to the magic. Just the other day, my husband asked if I wanted to go on a river cruise in Europe this fall. My response? “Does that mean I can’t go to We Care?!” No contest. In a chaotic world, it's nothing short of miraculous that We Care not only still exists but continues to flourish—and gets better with each visit. But the most extraordinary part? They don’t do it for profit. Yes, it’s not cheap. But this place isn’t about a money grab. Susy and Susana pour their hearts into it out of a genuine, unwavering commitment to sharing their knowledge and healing mission with as many people as they can—for as long as they can. They do it because they truly care. And I, for one, am deeply, deeply grateful.

A beautiful experience, the ground of the resort are absolutely lovely. The detox program, classes and amenities make it easy to forget about being hungry. The juices and soups were delicious. It was just what I needed to start my New Year. I will definitely be returning 😊

I had looked at We Care Spa for sometime and when a doctor told me to get healthy I need to reduce my stress I thought this was the perfect opportunity. First, the location is absolutely beautiful. I woke up each morning to take in the views of beautiful mountains and clean air. I had the most beautiful suite. I am extra particular about cleanliness and beds and I slept as comfortable as if I was in my own bed at home and these were brand new perfect sheets. Going without food is very very hard. They give you a pre-fast and I feel like this is vital to be able to endure the liquid fast. I had a hard time. However, this reset was just what I needed to kick some toxic sugar habits as I craved none of it when I returned home. I found myself preparing meals in my own kitchen, craving healthy foods and not junk. (Get some of their detox powder to take home! very yummy!) Mari led a fireside chat and she was an amazing amazing session lifechanging. Don't hesitate to book. No amount of money nor amount of time (that we all claim we don't have) will we get back in this life if we don't take care of ourselves. I feel truly reset mentally and physically. Thank you for helping me find my why.

What an amazing, life changing experience. Highly recommend booking this magical, luxury detox/wellness retreat, especially if you need a reset on your diet, to destress from the world and/or to heal the mind/soul. ||Its an all inclusive detox resort tucked away about 15 minutes north from the Cabazon Outlets in Desert Hot Springs. The retreat includes nutritional classes, yoga, sound baths, infrared sauna, all detox drinks, soups, supplements, colonics and exceptional customer service from the staff the entire stay.||If you would like more traditional spa treatments, spiritual healing and nutritional diagnosis the menu selection is exceptional you just have to pay extra for those (which is TOTALLY worth it) When you book they have someone who builds your entire itinerary for the stay which was one of my fave parts.||There are two pools on site and a walking path. There is only 1 peloton bike in the gym, but for the avid fitness gurus, you will find that you wont need it or don't have the energy for an aggressive workout. Depending on which room you get, there are 3,5,8lb dumb bells, a medicine ball and yoga mat as well as a mini trampoline.||I had the Executive Suite which was a five minute walk to the lobby, but it was glorious. I was also able to have my furbaby with me :) ||No need to pack much, you pretty much live make up free and in your robe! This was another of my favorite parts. There is also such a great community of fellow detoxers who share their experiences in a judge free zone.||I couldn't be happier with my experience and can't wait to go back. Which I pre booked for next year!

Yelp
I just love my time that I spend here. I wish I could come 2/3 times a year. My life goal. Every time I've come it's been a different experience. Sometimes I feel foggy by the 3rd day. Sometimes I feel tired all the time. But this time, I felt amazing the whole time I was there. I did have a little nausea, but even when I got sick, I still felt amazing. The staff, oh my word! The staff, absolutely amazing, compassionate, understanding, and they have quick remedies for what ever you're felling. Like when I got sick, they made a fresh ginger tea for me, and literally in that first sip, I felt 100% again. The program is easy to follow, with your drink lists and the times of the day you should have them done. The guest that are here are wonderful. I've had some great conversations with amazing people taking control of their health. I learn so much from the guests. Plus I always like to know where people are from, how many times they've been to We Care Spa. I'm always so grateful coming here, and excited to go home and start new changes in my life. I love the philosophy here. It just makes sense to me. The grounds, oh wow! Just magical. There has to be something about this place. It's so spiritual. I mean you're in the desert, and it's just brown and dirt. But when you go through their gate, it's green palms trees and lemon trees, and big beautiful mountains. The sun comes up and it's just breath taking. The moon comes up behind the mountains like a slow motion movie. So many wonderful moments. I can talk for hours about this wonderful gem. See you again, next summer

Yelp
If you're up for a detox challenge, this spa will certainly put you to the challenge. I was invited by a dear friend to meet up weeks ahead of time and accepted, the booking process was fairly easy. You're looking at about $1000 per night at minimum for short weekend stays. This should include a few treatments but not enough to emphasize the "spa" feeling in the business name. There's more classes and colonics in that price than there is treatments, which was odd to me and not properly explained. I don't have another experience to compare this to but the drinks did the job and interestingly enough if you follow instructions you won't be hungry. Overall not a bad option to start your detox retreat if you need guidance, if you're leaning more towards the spa/spiritual area this isn't the main focus.

Yelp
BEWARW THIS IS A SCAM I booked a reservation & they messed up the dates. When I came today this is what I pulled up too. They said there is a 21 day non refundable deposit but if you can't get onto the property to even check in there is something off here. There is no signs, no "valet" this is not a valid business do not sign any docusigns either that's how they try to keep ur deposit.

Yelp
We Care used to care about you, now all they care about is your money. The daughter of the founder is obsessed with money and the celebrity life. The quirky, gritty, hippy oasis I loved for 20 years (I went over 40 times to detox and reset) is no more. Prices have tripled while the core program has stayed the same. Every class is a sales pitch. Founder Suzana told me if I wasn't going to buy the pots and pans she was pushing down our throats, I might as well go home. Meditation classes are taught by instructors who can't stop talking, often about themselves (egos are big at WC). The vibe is awful. Giant crystals are imprisoned under foggy glass sections of floor by the main entry - so sad I avoided that door the remainder of my stay. There are so many buddhas, it's comical. They're everywhere! We get it - you want us to think this is a spiritual place, but you're trying so hard, what we're seeing is your fragile ego. Instead of robust groups of newly made friends plopping down with their detox drinks on shabby chic sofas to talk about health, gaunt guests with pillow face and blowfish lips are comparing designer bathing suits and red carpet events - ick. Loyal regulars have left in droves as have all the top staff members. All the best colonic therapists and nutritionists abandoned ship years ago and started their own businesses -good for them. One of the managers, seeing me for the first time since Covid, greeted me enthusiastically when I arrived and asked why I hadn't been back for 3 years. I said, "The heart of We Care is gone. I'm back for one final visit then I'm done." He called me into his office to ask why I felt that way. After hearing me list all the ways We Care has abandoned the principles that made it a sanctuary of healing, he told me the spa has lost the vast majority of its loyal base and has to rely on constantly luring in newer, younger, richer clients. I left heartbroken. The marketing director, a shallow, designer jewelry draped young man asked when I'd be back. I said, "Never- We Care is destroyed." He said, "You'll be back. We've got you hooked." Um, no. I'm doing the program (so easy to duplicate) in my beautiful lake house with crystals in the room with me, not in some sad, awful, moldy, subfloor prison.

Yelp
It is with regret that I write this. The founder has done so much to help others heal, and she truly has a wonderful soul. However, things have changed significantly, and the shift is noticeable. The focus now seems to be on money rather than healing. While I can tolerate some aspects of the corporate takeover, I cannot accept the lack of safety. During my stay, a guest woke up to find a man in her room, who fled with her purse and belongings. Security is minimal at night, making it too risky and dangerous for guests.

Yelp
The vibe is great here. So beautiful and relaxing. The staff is so helpful, so dint be scared to ask if you have question...Sophia was an absolute doll!! I'll be coming here yearly for sure :)

Yelp
I have read the reviews and feel the need to explain We Care Spa to those who don't know. I think you need to know what you are getting into if you come here since it's so unique. It's a fasting Spirtual retreat center. It is very expensive so if you don't have 3-8K to spend on a weekend or week just don't come here. So other reviewers complained of the price. But the prices are online so do some research first and know your budget for a trip. There is no food here, it's a fasting retreat. So you must know that first. The word Spa in the name is because they do offer spa services. They have had so many guests over the decades ask for so many services and classes, I'm sure they offer as much as they can. The day is filled will classes and lectures. I'm about to go into a sound bath session and last night we did some incredible breath work class. If you don't want to fast and de-stress and learn about health then find a different vacation. The reviews I read made me feel the need to write my own and explain what this place offers and what it doesn't. Yes it's exclusive and pricey. The staff here is far from obnoxious or rude. For example I pulled into check in at We Care in 115 degrees and there was a gentleman waiting to greet me and carry my bags. They women who do the colonics make the experience as pleasant as possible and are very friendly and informed. The staff go above and beyond. I've seen rude and obnoxious guests here before and perhaps you get what you put out...I've been a returning guest for 12 or more years and I recommend this retreat to everyone. It's all about health and detox. If that's not what you are looking for then do not come to this place or you will be disappointed, however if you want to lose weight, get healthy and bring home healthy habits for a life time, then come for a weekend and try out this place. It has changed my life in many healthy positive ways. On top of that, the grounds are spectacular and zen music plays throughout the resort. The lights at night are special and the floating beds, infrared sauna and workout room/steam room are all added amenities to help you detox the best you can.

Yelp
This place is a magical desert oasis. I really love this Spa and all that it has to offer. From nutritional and detox education classes to sound baths and breathing work to all the healing energy and benefits it has become my need to "go to the desert to detox and rejuvenate" Yearly! The grounds are so beautiful and the nature will calm you. The pool is calming and the staff are helpful and kind.

Yelp
Definitely a must do for everyone at least once. Came with my wife on my birthday and fasted for five days. I lost 14 pounds and came home feeling like 1 million bucks. I'm looking forward to heading back again sometime soon.

Yelp
Best experience of my life! I feel so balanced in mind, body and spirit. I was terrified of not eating for 5 days; I even brought some snacks just in case. However, they have you drinking so many green wellness drinks, detox drinks, delicious teas, fresh spa waters and yummy soups that I was not hungry at all. They will also give you a salad if you want one. I had a Colony room which was the least expensive option. The bed was super comfortable and the room was nice enough. It had a private patio shaded by bougainvillea everywhere. The grounds are exquisite, lush and clean. There are bunnies and butterflies everywhere. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Susana, the founder, gave very informative easy to understand nutrition and cooking classes. Forrest and Brittany's yoga classes were great. Do not miss Forrest's breathing class - it was fantastic! The saunas and hot tubs were so soothing and relaxing. The pool area was serene and beautiful with spa music piped in and live music on Sundays. The very best part for me was the We Care Euphoria treatment with Patty. It was so relaxing and Patty's beautiful energy and soothing touch was sublime. I did the biofeedback with Mitzi which was very interesting and informative. Mitzi is so sweet too. I had very productive colonics thanks to Kortney and Elodia. Both girls were terrific and made me feel at ease during these not so fun but very beneficial treatments. I've been home a week and I feel great. I've implemented so many healthy habits I learned at We Care. I loved everything about this experience and have already booked my next stay in March.

Yelp
SMUG THIEVES! (actually stole my property, with proof, see attached). I regrettably went to We Care from 6/18 - 6/20. Some notes on my general impression of the place before i get into the theft... General impression: there are many ways they could invest in the property to make it more enjoyable and price appropriate - such as by serving the only daily meal (soup) in an actual bowl instead of a plastic water cup or by providing their $250 massages in rooms that don't remind you of a low-budget pediatrician's exam room - but they haven't, and they never will. They are the most smug people you will ever come across, i assure you. Just take your supplements and juices at home. Aside from the above, i'd like every past, current, and future stakeholder of this place to know that a We Care employee went into my parked Tesla vehicle and took my only charger to give to another guest. They did not have my permission and they didn't think to return it to me at check out. To make matters worse, they scoffed at me when I told them that I wanted a refund since the promise they made me - "to find peace and tranquility" - was completed unwound after i found out they had violated my personal space. I've filed in small claims against them, and will do my absolute best to deter any one in my network from going to We Care "Spa" (again, not really a spa). Absolute garbage management, staff, and offerings.

Chanelle N.

Yelp
Super unprofessional. They aren't caring at all or helpful they just take your money and could care less about your time there. Really shows they don't even try to hide it! Not worth your money at all! This place is nothing like advertised. Massages are terrible, colonics are rushed, front desk gives bad energy and can the bothered. They charge 1,000 on average or more a night and not including spa treatments or colonics. It's beyond a rip off.. given there's no food. Won't return back here!

Yelp
I just completed my second weekend stay at We Care. Their program is truly inspiring and motivating. My second experience was even better than the first, probably because I knew what to expect and what to partake in while I was there that would give me the most benefit. The staff is truly lovely and supportive, they are all so down to earth and welcoming. I especially love the colonic therapists, they take what can be an awkward experience and make it informative with lots of humor along the way (thanks Jenny and Kortney!) The grounds are beautiful, so calm and relaxing. I love their spa services, yes the treatment rooms aren't luxury but I honestly don't care. The treatments are divine and the service providers are all wonderful. I love this place and am leaving energized, inspired and ready to incorporate more health into my life. Someday I'll be back for a longer stay. Thanks We Care!

Yelp
Love We Care Spa. It's a magnificent place to recharge and cleanse. The spa treatments support the cleanse. I always leave there feeling great.

Yelp
Alas, all good things must end. And We Care Spa is no exception. I've been going to We Care since 2006. It was quirky and bohemian, with a great staff, and Susanna floating in and out to guide her guests. You felt like you were in someone's home--I think it was literally Susanna's home at one time. Now, it's a corporate machine. Love has left the building. In 2014, I went and had a Herxheimer reaction, resulting in extreme inflammation. Please note that there is not a doctor on staff at We Care. I was given bad advice at the Spa, and my doctor recommended I take 2 years off from fasting. This is important because in 2014, I gave a deposit for my next visit, but I needed to wait a few years before returning. I was told by We Care (and have it in writing) that the deposit doesn't have an end date and, if I couldn't come back, I could use that deposit for product. Starting in 2016, I tried making a reservation. I couldn't get in--for years. Staff said my deposit was good and made no mention of an end date. I would get calls for last-minute cancelations, but couldn't pull it off because I would have a day's notice. Fast forward to 2022. I got in! Yay! ... And it costs what? Off-season $4,500 in humble rooms. I know what you get at We Care and you're paying for a few colonics and some juice, tea, water, and 8oz of vegi soup per day. Classes are free, and the folks who run the classes don't get paid, but do get paid 1/2 their booked session rate -- We Care get's the other half -- another brilliant revenue stream. The profit margin on this is outstanding. I give them an atta girl for being so bold. I just can't see the cost-benefit for the guests. Since We Care is largely a la cart, add $1k more for services and extra colonics, and then a 20% tip on top of that. Add Travel costs--you're looking at a minimum of $6k for an off-season, entry-level room to starve and sit by a pool. "Come on People! Use some common sense!" So, I can't get my deposit back. No notice. No phone call to let me know my deposit is expiring. They stole money from me. There's no other way to put it. I have the terms in writing. And they're not honoring those terms. Most detox retreats don't focus on profits. It's a mission to heal the world one person at a time. We Care doesn't care about you--but they do care about their bottom line, and it shows.

Yelp
I've been a regular at WeCare for 11 years and can honestly say I've never been disappointed in any stay. WeCare is for those serious about improving their health naturally, through fasting, detox treatments, and education. Their program is intense but incredibly rejuvenating, and has changed my life. I feel profoundly better after each fast. Before you go, do your homework and be sure your expectations and needs are in line with what they offer! WeCare is located off by itself, in a secluded, rustic spiritual setting. There are hot springs and an outlet mall nearby, but it's better to stay on campus, especially for newbies, to avoid temptation! Know that fasting can be tough! You probably won't feel well the first few days as you begin to detox. If you're seeking a fancy, pampering spa like super luxurious Canyon Ranch Spa or else some sort of substance rehab, you'd be in the wrong place! Drinks consist of mostly alkalized water and teas, with a green drink, fiber drinks, one cup of juice and one cup of soup purée. You will not just be drinking lots of different juices. They will customize your drink plan should you have a medical condition, and can provide smoothies and salads as needed. Supplements are provided with detailed instructions on how and when to take them. There are classes in meditation, yoga, breath work, healthy kitchen organization and much more. Don't miss the founder, Susana's cooking classes! WeCare also has many detoxifying spa treatments. My favorites are the deep tissue massage with Juan (he works wonders with sliding cups) and System Recovery with Jessie. WeCare is normally booked at least six months out so plan ahead. There's an area of brand new construction to be completed soon, including modern guest rooms, yoga room, pool and more. Then, the existing section will be remodeled, with an expanded juice bar, and updated guest and treatment rooms. They will also have electric vehicle charging stations. I just spent eight wonderful days at WeCare and feel amazing. Big thank you to David at the front desk for always taking care of me with outstanding service. Thanks also to Adriano, Juli and Sonia in scheduling! See you next fall!

Yelp
I have a few observations of my stay, as this is my third time (the others were pre-expansion) and I will not be going back: Overall, things are chaotic and disorganized. I waited two days to get my safe opened, most treatments began late, classes were canceled with no notice, and things rescheduled on the fly. The staff is nice, but ill-informed and "not with the program." There are too many people around, and someone had various items stolen the day I came. The pool was too cold for swimming. One Sauna was off for days. Having yoga and other classes in the same room as the kitchen is unacceptable. Period. Either no access while classes are in session or find another place for the kitchen or classes - the disturbances ruin the experience. For a retreat founded on conservation and principles of honoring the earth, the expansion is a disaster: It takes 5 minutes to get hot water, even in the new treatment rooms. Why weren't circulating pumps put in during construction? Using disposable cups is ridiculous, and Covid is not an excuse - restaurants everywhere wash and reuse dishes. Let alone plastic shaker cups that can't be re-used when guests leave? Even if you have to temporarily use disposable cups, they should be biodegradable, readily available at Costco. Cups, tops of plastic, plastic containers are what is being used. The retreat isn't even recycling!!!!! The sharp turn away from the original concept to a huge, maze - like mess is too much for me . Gray water could be used from the treatment rooms to water the plants - again, during construction, this would not have been a difficult fix. What is with the Zoom classes??? Why be in a tent instead of in front of your guests? Unless you are personally afraid of Covid, but are unwilling to require your employees or guests to show negative tests or proof of vaccination? Overall, the Covid protocols are lax, at best. I'm disappointed and, frankly, disgusted. You have Susan Belan (the founder) hawking commercial goods in plastic containers on Zoom calls . . . when did sponsorships by certain brands become a thing? Let alone in plastic. . . . So much for concern about chemicals and Ph levels. Shame on the new owner for destroying her mothers legacy with greed and shortsightedness. This place used to be private, intimate, and very carefully environmental. It now feels like every other awful expansion (think Sonoma Mission Inn) gone wrong. With endless pails full of plastic-lined non-biodegradable cups, plastic lids, plastic containers. It's terribly sad. Elizabeth Knier Evans

Yelp
I'm soooooo ready for this! A week in the Executive suite! It's simply stunning, new 2019 and everything needed for a calm retreat. Detoxification of mind, body and soul. Purification system I Room, beautiful large spa tub, state of the art shower, lighting , water filtration...beyond my expectations. Desk area for writing overlooking the snow capped mountains. Living room area for relaxing. Outdoor patio massive with lounge bed. Electronic blackout. I'm beyond excited. The grounds are very cool. The staff very attentive. They have a multitude of things to choose from. I choose solitude and massage. I came for a complete withdrawal from the world to pray and fast without all of the disruptions. I'll update at the end of the trip. Until then goodbye internet.

Yelp
This spa is all about detox and is one of a kind. If you're looking for a plush spa this is not even remotely where you should go. It resembles an old hacienda with beautiful grounds. If you want weight loss, detox and serious fasting then you have found your place.

Yelp
I went to We Care for the 3 day program. I wasn't sure what to expect, except for what I read on their website and on Yelp. I wanted to share my experience here: We Care Spa has a devoted following. I met people who have been coming to We Care for 20 years, and come every year religiously. People come from all over the US to spend time here. What you should understand is, that besides the traditional spa services, We Care offers all sorts of classes devoted to teaching you how to be better to yourself. I found the service techs, yoga teachers, meditation teachers and staff to be very well educated in their craft, willing to help you understand your body and how to take better care of yourself. I stayed in a room by the pool. The accommodations were modest for what I was paying for, and the room was the only thing I was disappointed in. I understand they will be renovating these rooms. To be clear: the quality of the services, techs and teachers far outshone my disappointment in the room. My suggestions for your visit: Get on the waiting list, It's really important to do the fasting prep before you get here, Drink more water than you think you should, Do at least a 5 day visit to get the full experience, Do a digestion release with Tammy, actually, any spa service with Tammy, Do a colonic every day, god bless Mackenzie, Take advantage of the classes, Take quiet time by the pool or lounge under the trees. Go by yourself. This is an opportunity to recharge, refocus, remember who you are. I totally drank the Kool-aide of this place while I was there. I was happy to. We Care is going through some changes. I was there in April 2018-there was some construction and it will be expanding. I hope it remembers it's modest beginnings.

Yelp
I came a long way to look at the place and they were rude and would not let me have a look. It's too bad because it was someplace I wanted to stay but to make a potential guest feel so unwelcome was pretty unpleasant.

Yelp
The most expensive defecation vacation I have ever experienced in my life. The only thing I learned at this place is that my spouse and I have different ideas about what constitutes a relaxing vacation.

Yelp
My favorite place to rejuvenate. Beautiful grounds. I came home relaxed and refreshed. Pre-book because it is hard to get reservations.

Yelp
I really needed to get away and they happened to have a cancellation on one of the Colony rooms so I booked it. I've had a reservation deposit with them for years and finally got a chance to use it at a time when I was feeling physically and mentally run down. Making the reservation was simple. Adriano was super patient and helpful. I checked in the day after making my reservation and I was made to feel very welcome by all the staff and most guests. The guests there were from all walks of life and we all got along well since we were on the same path to cleansing and healing. My colony room was nice and spacious and it had its own patio and spacious lounge area right in front of all the colony rooms (see photos). My bed was nice and comfortable with soft sheets and plenty of pillows. Definitely worth staying in one of these rooms. I knocked off one star since two of my treatments left me feeling weird. I had a massage therapist that was talking to me about how he ate a cheeseburger for lunch and stressed how delicious it was. It didn't affect my willpower to cleanse since I don't really eat cheeseburgers but it did bother me because of his intent to break me down. Another therapist I had was talking to me about how she voted for Trump and how he's going to be a great president. Again, I really don't judge people on who they voted for but it was her intent in telling me this that bothered me. These conversations happened while I was getting some costly treatments done that were supposed to be relaxing. Other than those two incidents my stay was just what I needed. I love spending time alone and I was free to use the gravity bed and walked the labyrinth several times a day. Time slowed down in the short time I was there and it was so nice to breathe in fresh air while surrounded by peace and quiet. The experience I had at We Care was well worth it and I'm so thankful to have found my sanctuary that I will return to again and again.

Yelp
We Care Spa is a very special place. Before going, I was worried that I would be hungry and miserable but it was not only the best experience of my life, but I learned so much about my body and gained a new understanding, respect, and passion for health. Mind, body, spirit, People! Heaven on Earth. Life changing. Healing. Go.

Yelp
This spa is absolutely amazing! It is my second time here and once again they have blown me away. The property is so beautiful and the perfect place to relax and find peace. The program is so easy to follow and the staff here are amazing. The staff has gone above and beyond to make me extremely comfortable through their fast. The renovation on the property is stunning, from the pool, to the labrynth and the floating bed to so many amenities around the property to completely renew yourself in mind, body and soul.

Yelp
I have been here for 8 days. I have detoxed my body, mind and spirit! I leave with a heart full of peace and understanding, fellowship, desert beauty, amazing healers. When you come here you come back to what's truly important. You come back to yourself! This is the place to help remember who you are! Take that knowledge back into the world and change the lives of those you love. It starts with You!

Yelp
Didn't go. Called to ask if they do day passes, response 'no, get a treatment and leave' if we get a treatment does it give access for the day? 'No. I just said we don't do day passes' Wow. Awful customer service.

Yelp
I have been going here since 2008. I started going when I was throw in prison in Zimbabwe. (They make you go barefoot in prison) and was very very sick. 40 pills a day, was using a cane and had lyme, co-infections and every parasite imaginable. I came out of that treatment clean and reset. I went cold turkey off of all pills, never had to use any walking assistance again. I am back to normal from that experience. Susanna is amazing and what she has created with WeCARE-will be a lasting legacy. This is where the challenge has come in for me. Susanna has relinquished much of the daily operations to her daughter, Susan. Without giving details the difference between the two is Susanna built this amazingly special place with her heart. Her daughter lives from a different currency. There is no judgement from me on whether one's currency is heart or money. It just is. As this transition has happened, I have seen the environment change dramatically. The detox program is surely one of very few that exist...AND still I mourn the loss of vision boards and the ability to walk and hike off campus, expecting the body scrubber in your WeCare bag and LIZ : ( probably the worst casualty since I stared going there. Three trips ago, I paid for 8 days in the main building. (Off the kitchen) and the woman in the adjacent room was a chain smoker. My purpose for booking at WECARE was to get through a horrible bout of bronchitis/pneumonia. I don't even get along well with smoke normally, so with a lung issue this was not good. When I used my voice, the chain smoker harrassed me and the manager at that time (Martha?) " told me she was a long term client. I finally left 3 or 4 days into my trip -as both the manager on duty (no longer there) and the woman were not going to budge. The manager charged me for the full 8 days. I put something on the site after my experience-and on Facebook. Both reviews were taken down. Two trips ago, I took the only reservation that was available in the Villas which is much more expensive to be sure, but I needed to reset my system. After I booked, I received a call from another previous guest of We CARE that had found out I had booked for that week. Would I mind sharing my room with her, since their are two beds? Huh? They found out from reservations that I was booked. Isn't that illegal? So as much as I adored my new friend from Colorado-it was inappropriate for me to be approached by another guest through reservations wanting to share my room. I try to give everyone the benefit of doubt...and for reasons not applicable to this conversation, I booked again at WECARE. I was grateful for the opportunity to go, and grateful for the many workers who are absolutely the best part of the experience. This trip that I just finished up on Sunday the 14th was by far my worst. Two things happened that make me certain I will not recommend nor plan to go back to WECARE Spa in this lifetime. I shared with at least two of the staff members what I learned on the Monday of this visit from a group of us that went to SAM'S mineral spas together. There are at least two male masseuses that have been providing "Orgasms" to female clientele. Thursday, 4 days of ZERO food. I had SPA brain, which is where nothing really functions properly. When I shared the name of my service provider to a friend she said,"Oh going to take a ride on the wild side..." SPA BRAIN- I didn't put together that my masseuse was one of the "Diddler's. (Is that a word?) I had not heeded the warning from a fellow guest about the "Extra Benefits" I had a masseuse do something very inappropriate to me. I told a few of the staffers what happened. Responses varied. No one from senior management even said they were sorry it happened. Zip. David was terrific, Danielle too, Patricia, in Colon therapy.Today April 17th when I followed up by phone on another matter to Dominic, he was RUDE. When I pressed he told me it was against the law for him to share any information with me. Okay, I said but what about the $486 or $487 dollars that was stolen from my room? Dominic said "We provide you with safes for that. It is your responsibility. I had an idea who might have stolen the money, though I would never accuse anyone. I even quietly went to the "maintenance man" that had come in my room high AND asked if he might know where that money went. I didn't accuse him, I just gave him a chance to put it on my dresser before I left. He said, "Yes, that is a lot of money to lose." So if you want to "take a ride on the wild side" all yours. Most state laws would call this prostitution- If you want to be groomed, than confuse what happen with SHAME-like I am certain some of the younger girls have experienced with these two grown men, than go for it. If you win the jackpot, like me, you could have the experience without asking for it.

Yelp
Absolutely the best detox, cleans program available. A bit pricey, worth every penny. This is my second time coming, there has been several upgrades since the last visit , grounds are absolutely beautiful. Zen garden is immensely helpful.

Yelp
Get ready to be hungry BUT it is so worth it!! Toxins out and amazing minerals and nutrients in. You will leave here feeling so good... this was my second stay and I already can't wait to go back!!

Yelp
This spa WAS wonderful when it was run by the founder Susanna. Presently run by daughter Sussy... the zen has eggressed. The staff, having been ill treated by Sussy, are showing the discontent of the abused or departing. Still a good enough place to detox if in need of a local option. If you go do try Betsy and Bill for treatments. I give it a third star only because of what it once was.

Yelp
This is a very magical retreat with amazing staff and variety of very effective treatments. I always come back renewed, more energized, and glowing. 10 Stars!!!

Yelp
Never in my life have I experienced such an amazing place. I called two days before I was planning on coming to stay. (Do not try this. Get on the waitlist. It's a year long...) Not only were the staff accommodating in helping me find a place locally to stay, but they let me come participate even if I was staying off-campus. I had a jam packed schedule. Renee C., did some amazing hypnotherapy with me. Ronn gave me the best massage and cupping experience I've ever had. Mari did an amazing sound bath on me. I can't speak enough praises about the staff and all they do to help others heal. This place really is a magical desert oasis. Do yourself a favor and book the 8-day renewal. It is worth every penny.

Yelp
If you are going here to lose weight....don't! It is SO much more than a weight loss clinic. It is a Mind, Body and Soul experience. The place is clean and comfortable. The staff goes out of their way to make sure you are well taken care of and every need is met. This place relaxes you to a different dimension. The classes are worth your time, very educational. I thought I knew...wrong! It was my 1st time...but not my last. I re-booked before I even left. I went by myself BUT made connections with many women that have lasted since I have been home...we are the Detox Divas! We are sharing recipes and other tips. A wonderful and beautiful group of women. Can't wait to go back every year! It is worth the money...becasue YOU are worth it! Going March 14-21 this year...I will be back!!!

Yelp
This review is based on sketchy product quality and poor customer service. My husband and I used to love their detox powder, plant protein and other supplements, but the quality has seriously gone down hill over the past year. I ordered plant protein last year that tasted like it'd been sitting around in a warehouse for 2 years, so I threw it out. And recently, we tried to order detox powder, but the website said it was only available in a package that included three bottles of other supplements. We didn't really need the other products, but wanted the detox drink, so we ordered the package (and paid a crazy $18 for in-state shipping). They ended up sending only the supplements (aloe, enzymes, probiotic) and said the powder was out of stock until the end of the month. AND the aloe had a manufacturer imprint date of Aug 2016 (we ordered it in June 2018)! Not sure why the site said the package products were in stock when they weren't, why customer service didn't just email or call and tell us the drink wasn't available and did we still want the package, or why they sent us outdated product. When I called the spa, the person argued with me about the issues with the order, but ultimately agreed to refund me if I send back the supps at my own expense. So now I'll be out about $30 for shipping and no products. Don't wast your time with the products at We Care. There are better ones out there.

Yelp
Wonderful place to fast and get fantastic treatments. All of the therapists are very experienced and professional in their approach. I loved the cranio sacrial myfofacial release with Betsy, the chocolate scrub and all of the massages ! My husband loved the raindrop massage

Yelp
This review is for Elizabeth (Liz) the colonic hydration specialist. My mother and I have been coming to We Care for the past 15 years and our only requirement before booking is that we see Liz for all our colonics. She is the jewel of the We Care crown!!! She makes this process bearable and is the most knowledgeable specialist that I've ever come across. Once again we are back and lucky enough to have booked Liz for our entire stay. This time she has added coffee, vitamins and chlorophyll supplements to the colonics which is right in line with cutting edge add ons available in busy hubs like NYC and LA. I'm happy to see We Care modernizing and evolving through Liz's leadership. I have never thought to write a review but figured after 15 years of exemplary service, I would be amiss to not compliment her in any and every way that I can. Thanks Liz!!!

Yelp
Nobody picks up the phone at either their 716 number nor the 800 reservations number. You are told to leave a message but nobody ever calls back. I guess they don't need the business.

Yelp
Please be advised before you consider this spa! Although their detox and fasting is healthy for you, their advice for equipment is not!!! They sell VIbra Trim machines that are very unsafe. Much research shows the negative side effects of high vibrations on our spine and our entire system. I got serious injured and Susana just brushed me off!! This is supposed to be a healthy place we love and trust not the one that will contribute to our non well-being. Consult your physician before you trust them to take anything or use any exercise that is out of the normal activity you normally do to ensure you are safe!!

Yelp
Love this place unfortunately they getting to be absolutely outragesly expensive . If u don't stay there it's 2000 dollars just. To come there. During the day and drink the juice . Which probably cost 5 dollars a day all treatment are separate and expensive . On the other hand almost all therapists are very good and u feel good and absolutely not hungry .

Yelp
I want to spend a week here so so bad. However every time I call and try to get information about the program they are RUDE. It is actually weird. I have called three times in total and every time I am met with silence and "what do you want to know". I can't believe I am the only person who would want a little info before I come there for a week and give them $3,500 dollars. I asked about the liquid diet and the treatments and the woman said "have you been here before" I said no. I asked about the colonic and she said "you've never had one before?" Ugg, I give up.

Yelp
I plan on making this an annual pilgrimage. The spa offers life changing solutions and lessons that are worth the trip. Recommend the 4-day package as opposed to the seven-day if you are not significantly out of sync. If you don't know what quinoa is then I would highly recommend a week.

Yelp
If you are looking for something simple, beautiful, stunning, lovely, peaceful, quiet, sacred, spiritual, reflective, calm, meditative, guiding, centering, grounded, powerful, purifying, detoxing and off the beaten path of the life you have defined for yourself, you might like a little side trip to the desert. Eurphoria and kindess may be found and might follow you home if you let it.

Yelp
Very attentive staff. So convenient to LA - lucky us! Pricey as everyone else is saying, but the detox is worth it. If doing colon hydrotherapy get Liz, she is the absolute best. If you are needing a reboot, something to kickstart you back in the right direction, I highly recommend this place, but with a minimum of the 6 day 5 night plan. Anything less is just a getaway and not enough time to make a meaningful impact. We all know what is right for us, but our environment is so persuasive. This is a cloistered environment with a supportive group of guests and staff to put you back on track to good diet and lifestyle practices.
