We had a wonderful 2 days stay (22nd Sep to 24 Sep 25) at We hotel Jeju. It was a quiet and serene place surrounded by forests (with deer crossing signage along the way, but thankfully did not meet one). It is great place to rest and recover from hustle and bustle of one's daily grind (with wellness centre, did not had time to use). It is slightly out of way, own transport there would be preferred. There is shuttle bus from Hoesu rotary or Jungmun postoffice and to/from Jeju airport but limited timings (check hotel website).
Carpark
When we first arrived, was met by courteous concierge staff who helped with our many luggages and bag, while i parked my vehicle. The carpark space in front of hotel is rather limited less than 10 assigned lots so it gets full fast, some creative parking created more spaces but not enough. The rest had to park in rather far carpark space which would be inconvenient if you have alot of luggage. There is an only EV charger currently, which is tucked in obscure corner at presumably staff carpark area (not sure no sign). You would either find a EV truck charging. When i did get a chance to charge my rental car Ioniq 6 (rented lotte rent a car), i could not read as the wordings were in korean, so i still manage to charge but under slow charge (68% to 90% needs 4 hours). I also was stung by mosquitoes while just trying to charge it. I had feedback these to GM of limited and tight slot there, hopefully next i come it would be in front of hotel lobby.
Hotel lobby
Hotel was spacious, and we were greeted by staircase up to lobby, but there was a set of escalators thankfully. The staff was courteous and did our check in in no time. Concierge staff brought all our luggages and bags in trolley straight to our rooms.
Room
There is only level 3 and level 5 rooms, no 2nd or 4th floor room. Level 6 is to rooftop garden but no access from lobby lift i presume it is if you sign up for wellness then there is access.
Level 5 provide the best view of sea in distance, and some parts of city. Level 3 room i was checked in, only see the forest trees surrounding us. Level 5 room non carpeted also have a step up from entrance (toilet bathroom) to living area itself, one must be careful to look down and clear it. If not a nasty fall may occur. Level 3 is normal rooms (some parts carpeted) with no such hazard
We slept soundly through the night with 3 pillows each (1 hard and 1 soft standard, we request another set). There was not much outside sound we could hear. Aircon was ok except the one in suite.
Great customer service
We had breakfast at the hotel and saw a Korean man (wearing chef uniform) serving us whom we thought was sous chef but he turns out to the GM Kang of hotel to our surprise. He was so personal and humble, and ask us how was our food and if there was any feedback (if any) during our stay. We mentioned that we were thinking of dinner (due to coming birthday) at hotel and he had passed word of our intent (with some menu change since we don't take beef) to manager in charge. We were touched by how humble GM served us and the other guest (not because they were short of wait staff). We also witness he personally brought ice lemon tea (due to hot weather outside) to workmen who were fixing the roof of lobby porch ceiling. If you thought GM was for show only, he was there again the next morning waiting at tables and asking for feedback, that is how personal he gets with all guests. Because of how he made us feel at home, we definitely will be back at We hotel next we are back in Jeju.
Food - Breakfast was delicious, however it caters more to Korean with spread of rice, kimchi and some western spread (sausages, french fries, bacon, etc). There is a egg station manned by chef and manned pho station for beef noodle soup. Dinner was nice too with salmon tasty and juicy and fresh, befit a 5 star hotel.
I was even delighted they had English breakfast tea, which had been elusive through out jeju, as koreans don't take it.
