They have amazing different flavors of Ice Cream. Their Bana Splits are AMAZING you have your choice in ice cream, you can have three scoops of the same of your favorite ice cream or different, the choice in toppings along with the whipped cream and cherry is Amazing. I usually will go with Chocolate for one scoop, strawberry for my second and maybe coffee for my third it all depends on what they have for flavors and what I'm in the mood for then the toppings is hot fudge, peanut butter then the whipped cream and Cherry, they even sell their ice cream in pints and the prices are not bad at all. They sell Milk, eggs, some beef, maple syrup, t shirts. Come on down to We Like It in Pomfret/Abington CT. They even have some animals for the kids to check out. Chickens, goats. It's Family owned and run by family that have lived here for years.

Google
Good selection of products. Staff was very helpful. I had a non dairy ice cream sundae no whipped cream. It was very good, surprisingly so. I also purchased a few other products from the room with the freezers. A couple T-bone steaks, ground beef, maple syrup and some spices. Overall a good experience. I recommend going.

Google
Can't say enough about this place. The ice-cream is top notch, they have a nice selection of frozen meats as well and for a reasonable price. The steaks are absolutely delicious we buy all of our beef from here. Make the journey, you won't regret it. Also if your kiddos like animals, they have some that you can go up to and see. The goats are adorable!

Google
I stopped on my way back to Hartford and got a strawberry shake. The shake was good, but I would have liked more strawberries. It tasted more like a vanilla shake with a hint of strawberries. That said, they have a lot of options, and it all looks and sounds delish! Note: they now serve sandwiches! See menu board in my photos.

Google
Was invited to a 5-6yo birthday party here and the staffing/ordering system was completely ridiculous. Staff had the birthday party, mind you this is 10+ 5/6 year olds, move to the end of the line several times when we were ready to order. Only because they could only order all at one time. Totally unacceptable, we'll never be back. Go to Bucks, you'll save $20 and get better ice cream

Google
Been a fan of We-Li-Kit for many years. Homemade ice cream including tradition as well as some unique flavors - what’s not to like! They also have a small store near the ice cream stand selling eggs, honey and a variety of other hyper-local items. And There is also a small “petting zoo” for the kiddos with several farm animals - goats, chickens, a cow, and even a peacock… Yes, indeed, we like it…. We really do!

Google
Awesome homemade ice cream in unique flavors packed with ingredients. The waffle cone is a $1.50 up charge but well worth it. It was still warm!

Google
A little crowded. But a gorgeous day to be out. Perhaps having a better way of differentiating on Which Line you should be when ordering / when you are Done ordering would be helpful. Other than that. Great ice cream, pleasant way to end the day. My husband and I both got sundaes. So good.

Yelp
Fantastic homemade ice cream! Been on my list to check out for a while and was happy to go there this summer! Rich and creamy, great flavors with seasonal choices! Prices on point with most places. Try anything, you won't go wrong! They could use some more seating areas.

Mary Eliza K.

Yelp
This is the best ice cream in Connecticut. People drive from all over New England to get it! It's a fun location too, with goats and ducks and sheep and a peacock- wonderful place to bring family

Pamela P.

Yelp
Ice cream is excellent and also sold in to go containers. They have other farmer's goods like; meats, spices, T-shirt's, home and holiday decor. It's fun to visit with the various farm animals too.

Steven G.

Yelp
Good ice cream decent portions great selection of flavors nice service nice grounds to walk and lick your selection

Molly K.

Yelp
The ambience is amazing. The service is really great and the food is fantastic too. I enjoy getting ice cream from We-Li-Kit Ice Cream. I enjoy seeing all of the interesting farm animals.

Tracey B.

Yelp
10/10 this place is amazing!! Homemade, made to order waffle cones... YESSS PLEASE!! Their ice cream is so good. The location is great, my son loves playing ball and relaxing in their grassy area. We love it here & it's totally worth the 30+ min drive from us!

Brian B.

Yelp
I didn't get a picture of mine but I had the Ape's Delight, Raspberry Chip, and Purple Cow! Simply Amazing

Asantewaa B.

Yelp
Some of the best ice cream I have ever had and the waffle cones are amazing. A lot of times the waffle cones are still a little warm when you get them. The service is also good. I would highly recommend!

Kelly H.

Yelp
No more covid traffic cones at We-li-kit, at least not during the week, so today was a great day for us to check out the farm itself. It's still a great outdoor spot with excellent ice cream, and now a farm store with quarts of ice cream, maple, beef, and eggs. Pea fowl, donkeys, goats, ducks, and chicks were there to greet us. This is indeed a farm and not 32 flavors, though their list is probably just as long. The cows kept to themselves by the lake. Spring through the last weekend in October, go here!

Zack G.

Yelp
Small ice cream stand that is attached to a tiny market (with meat, cheeses, and maple syrups), that is on a tiny farm. They only had ~5 flavors when I came, but the ice cream (I had chocolate chip) was fantastic and the waffle cone was even better. The waffle cone was made fresh, and it was the best cone that I have ever had. The chocolate chip ice cream had a great consistency as well, and it was full of large chunks of chocolate, but there weren't as many chocolate chips/chunks in the ice cream as I would have liked. I also was not a fan of their service model, as they took the orders of ~5 people who were in line at a time before starting to work on each of the orders. The place itself is pretty funny, as they have some random lawn chairs spread out around the property, and 2 goats, 2 donkeys, a rabbit, and a peacock! They also have 2 sandboxes for little kids. Ice Cream Quality: 10/10 Flavor Variety: 1/3 Environment: 2/3 Cone Quality: 2/2 Sufficient Mix-In's: 1/2 Overall: 8/10

Amy A.

Yelp
Awesome little ice cream place with a ton of flavors. We used to bring the kids here when they were little so they could eat their ice cream outside while visiting with the goats and chickens. We still love visiting the animals with some awesome ice cream

Kristen S.

Yelp
Super cute ice cream stand in the country in Connecticut. It was a nice off the highway ride. Ice Cream was good. All homemade, and the whipped cream, YUM! Picnic tables and an area to pet some goats. The store sells meats, ice cream, honey, etc.

Amanda S.

Yelp
Such a fun place! Their ice cream is delicious - so many choices to choose from. And their homemade waffle cones/bowls are to die for - must have. The service is super fast and the animals you can interact with are so much fun! What a great little place!

Mike R.

Yelp
I eat a lot of ice cream, like a lot. This was my first time at this place. It was one of the best ice creams I've ever tasted. I ordered the "Mud", chocolate ice cream with Oreos and Fudge swirl. Ordered it in a waffle cone, little did I know they make them to order. The ice cream was delicious, it was soooooo good and the made to order waffle cone made it that much better.

Katherine J.

Yelp
Fave ice cream in the northeast! Cricket crunch and Ape's Delight are my favorite, but hoping to make it in on a day where they are selling grape nut. Go for a fresh waffle cone and bring a quart home with you too--you'll thank me later!

Josie P.

Yelp
What a wonderful place to visit with the family! They had something for everyone including my diabetic mother who has a massive sweet tooth. Only thing only thing I would suggest is to have the ice cream while you stroll through their farm, it is it is so fresh it will melt very quickly and I didn't want to waste one lick, Lol They also have a small market with fresh meats and dairy products for you to take home

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
Stopped here on the way home from Boston - the ice cream here is absolutely delicious and the drive through is scenic and lovely. Unfortunately, I have to give only two stars because this farm needs to take better care if the adorable animals they have on display for visitors. It was a very hot, humid day and while many of the animals had adequate shade available (the peacocks, the cow, the chickens, the goats, for example), they have several rabbits in very small hutches with black rooftops just BAKING in the sun. I was horrified for them, it must've been inhumanely hot in there, and they had no where to go but inside the tiny little covered hutch area, which was surely like an oven. PLEASE MOVE THOSE POOR HELPLESS RABBITS INTO THE SHADE.

Peter B.

Yelp
Exceptional quality farm-made ice cream; thoughtful flavor options; warm waffle cones; lovely location. Essential stop in the "Quiet Corner."

Suzanne M.

Yelp
It's well worth the trip to come here! Their ice cream is delicious! The vanilla and chocolate is super yummy but my go to is the chocolate chip and my husband is loving their coffee ice cream. The service is great and friendly. They have an awning you can sit under and many picnic tables. The animals are super cute too. The little shop has lots of goodies too. We love coming here! Thank you!!

David H.

Yelp
Local , addictive fresh homemade ice cream, farm animals on site to enjoy as well..local maple syrup available, great for kids,

Jodo M.

Yelp
Nice location but the ice cream was lacking big time. I ordered cookie dough in a cup and it only had 3 pieces of cookie dough the size of a small pebble. It was basically vanilla ice cream. The portion was very small also. The small was almost 5 dollars. Sometimes when I rate it a 2 or better I'll give them another try but not this place. There's so many other better spots to go.

Elizabeth A.

Yelp
Have been going here since I was a very small kiddo. Lovely place with delicious ice cream and clam cakes. They have a beautiful assortment of farm animals and birds to enjoy spending time with as well. They now have little game stations, too. 10/10, would always recommend.

Yelp
We stopped here on our way through Pomfret late on a Saturday afternoon at the urging of my ice-cream addicted fiance and the great Yelp reviews. I ordered the Ape's Delight (banana ice cream base with chocolate chunks and walnuts) and he got a two-scoop cone of Chipmunk Tracks (vanilla ice cream base with M&Ms and a peanut butter swirl) and pumpkin. Of course both were ordered in their homemade waffle cones! Service seemed a bit slow, but when we saw they were making waffle cones to order it all made sense...The cones were delicious and perfectly formed-they literally leaked no ice cream all the way to their last bite. Likewise, the ice cream was very good-creamy and with lots of flavor. Both of us preferred the Ape's Delight, with the Chipmunk Tracks my fiance's next favorite. The pumpkin had great flavor, but was perhaps a bit overpowering. We were disappointed with the quantity given the price-it's expected that locally-made farm-fresh ice cream will be more costly than the mass produced stuff but our two-scoop cone was actually smaller than the single scoop and cost more. Overall, I'd recommend a stop if you're in the neighborhood but if you have a family know it will be pricey.

Yelp
Has been the place to go since I was a kid. So many good flavors from road kill to black raspberry and a ton more. If you love ice cream this is a must stop spot. BUT my favorite thing they don't have often is the strawberry shortcake sundae - OH SO GOOD!

Michael S.

Yelp
Great ice cream, some of the best ive ever had. Not sure why people are complaining about the serving size unless theyre trying to get diabetes. Every time I order two scoops it looks like three and every time I order three it looks like far too much for one human being. But... its delicious.

Alicia R.

Yelp
I enjoyed the mud ice cream sundae after wining and dining at nearby wineries. The farm animals were nice to see. The tables and outdoor atmosphere were nice and casual. Ice cream is homemade and delicious! waffle cone was the best part! Made while I waited and served up warm

Cathleen F.

Yelp
We are from NJ and stopped here after doing a bike trail. We travel all over the US riding bikes and sample the ice cream shops wherever we go. Hands down the best ice cream we have ever eaten! So good!

Paul L.

Yelp
Yep, what can you say? Excellent, creamy, delicious! Some of the best ice cream I've had in a long time. It kind of a funky name (like maybe its a Chinese restaurant, lol until you get it).

Miley P.

Yelp
Would be five, but the customers who come here are quite obnoxious. They act like they're the only ones who order ice cream. Got accused by a customer of taking their ice cream, when in fact it was mines. There needs to be a numbering system to prevent confusion. Apparently Karen's only believe that they are the only ice cream eaters on site. Otherwise great ice cream.

Erik D.

Yelp
When driving through rural Eastern CT on Route 44...you MUST make a stop here! Go for the maple walnut ice cream in a waffle cone. They are made fresh and the cones are still soft when you get it. It tasted like a full on maple syrup coated waffle! There are some picnic benches and chickens on the grounds. It's not fancy but so charming and the ice cream is probably some of the best I've had. Secret! Across the street is Windsong Farm and they have amazing blueberry picking! Put the blueberries you just picked on the maple walnut ice cream...and boom! Blueberry pancakes!

Yelp
We decided to try this place on a Sunday late afternoon. Covid19 season, so typical precautions in place. About a dozen people in line when we arrived, with what looked like 4 people working. I don't know if this is typical, but it looked like they took the orders of about 6 to 8 people (different parties, and not the same group) then stopped, and took care of these orders. OK, a little different, but,,,, We decide to get a 2 scoop cone for myself, and the wife wanted a hot fudge sundae. So we were in the next "ordering group", and gave our order. I decide to try the roadkill, and the sundae was ordered with chocolate ice cream. it took almost 10 minutes to get the order, and here is where it gets 2 stars: The roadkill had white chocolate chips in it, and IMHO, there was way too much. By way too much means it looked like it accounted for 40% of the scoop. And speaking of scoops, i guess you could call it 2 scoops technically! They were very small, and besides the ice cream being home made, the price didn't justify the portion that they gave out. I noticed that a lot of others that were getting cones at the window, all looked small like mine. I'm not saying that they should have been large to the point that they had trouble staying on the cone, but they could of afforded to give out at least 25% more for that premium price they charge. Same thing can be said about the sundae. It looked worse, seeing that it was in a cup. The fudge again matched the portion of the ice cream, like it was rationed because they were running out soon. And of course, the whipped cream was rationed too. I'm glad my wife gave up on ordering a banana split/boat. At $9 you would think you're getting a belly buster of a split, but chances are it would follow the size portions that we got. Again, we're not looking to get a super size portion, but at the prices they're asking, and what you get, home made or not, it's not worth it, especially if you're going with a large family.

Marc C.

Yelp
Wonderful local ice cream shop- fresh ingredients and many flavors to choose from. Worth the trip!

Kevin M.

Yelp
always so friendly and their ice cream is phenomenal! i remembered to take a picture of my ice cream only after i finished it and they have tables where you can sit and eat your treat or you can walk around and see the farm animals. There is also a farm stand inside, which I have yet to go into, but I plan on coming back very soon!

J. R. H.

Yelp
Worthy of inclusion in my Transcontinental Ice Cream Safari. They make their own, their fruits are fantastic (Strawberry-Rhubarb), their candy cadre are loaded (snickers, almond joys), and their chocolates are decadent. Further research is required, so when bike riding the nearby Airline Trail or East Coast Greenway, be sure to make slight detour. Covered seating, cool drinks too.

Emily C.

Yelp
YOWZA! Ginger ice cream? Indeed, indeed. I'd never heard of this lil' ol' CT creamery until some friends suggested it after a 2hour wine tasting in Pomfret this afternoon. Wine + ice cream? Why the hell not. What I love most about small family run creameries (aside from the ice cream) is that they're often just teeming with cows, goats, chickens, donkeys - and I stinkin' love seeing a menagerie of farm animals trotting around. No exception here. That said, We-Li-Kit is an impressive little place for having such a silly name. I sampled the ginger ice cream (quite tasty) but ended up with a scoop of Apes Delight (banana with walnuts and chocolate chunks) and Guernsey Cooke - oreo swirled in coffee ice cream. Topped with fresh whipped cream and caramel, it was diabetes-inducing, sure, but well worth the sugar overload. The ice cream was fresh, flavors outstanding, and the farm setting quaint & bucolic. Also, in case you hadn't caught on at Ape's Delight, the 2+ dozen ice cream flavors have some pretty darling names. Like "Road Kill" (vanilla with cherry swirl, white chocolate and walnuts.) C'mon, what's cuter than roadkill? I kid. Also - quick tip - this place is cash only (boo, hiss)

Crystal M.

Yelp
This ice cream is everything! They make their ice cream fresh! They have so many awesome different flavors. In addition to the run of the mill chocolate and vanilla they have awesome flavors that have coconut, chocolate, peanut butter! My friends and I all got 2 scoops each of different flavors. We loved each one. They make their waffle cones fresh to order.

Sally B.

Yelp
If I died and went to heaven, I would know I was there because the clouds would be made of this maple and bacon ice cream. Simply divine options in a lovely setting. Hands down one of the highest-quality ice cream cones I've ever eaten in my life, even as the hot (hothothot) waffle cone melted some of it into the wax paper wrapper. I didn't even mind that it was dripping all over me, since everyone was clearly in the same boat. Just give in to the deliciousness and don't think about appearance or calories - you don't get chances to enjoy this kind of treat very often! Not to be missed if you're in the area.

Nick L.

Yelp
Probably the best ice cream around. They make it themselves and you can tell. It's a very popular spot so sometimes the flavors you want may be out of stock. Little on the pricey side but it's good quality and scoop sizes are generous. I've never tried anything besides the ice cream. Staff has always been friendly. Be prepared to wait a little but during peek times. The animals in the property are a nice touch, my 3.5 year old loves walking around and looking at the different ones. They even provide a hand washing station which is a great idea.

Michael P.

Yelp
WOW! If you are in this area, or within an 15 hour radius I highly suggest stopping and enjoying a homemade (literally right in front of you as you wait) waffle cone with Maple Walnut Ice cream..... Close your eyes and imagine a hot waffle cone, Crispy on the outside but soft and buttery from within, then they fill it with the most creamy, velvety maple walnut ice cream... A regular and dear friend of mine suggests bringing blueberries with you from the Pick your own spot across the street and throwing a few of those bad boys on top... VOILA.... Its like the most amazing blueberry waffles and fresh maple syrup. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GET IN THE CAR AND GO GET YOURSELF ONE!

Catherine N.

Yelp
Always a delicious treat. Creative ice cream flavors along with all the standard selections. Great local spot

Cara A.

Yelp
Checked out this ice cream place on a Sunday afternoon they make their own waffle cones to order and the ice cream is also homemade. There was a 10 minute wait to place an order and another 10 to receive ice cream but it was worth it and I would come back to try other flavors.

Kim L.

Yelp
1st time visit. Creative flavorful homemade ice cream. The best waffle cone, I finished the whole cone, and I never eat the entire waffle cone. Ice cream has a creamy rich texture. The red hot ice cream was a huge hit with my husband. They have farm animals too. Great find closer to home. They sell food also, including clam chowder and clam cakes on fridays. Yum.

Eileen R.

Yelp
Do not know why people think the ice cream is so good. I had it for the first time yesterday and it had ice chips in it and it also was chalky. Guess people around here do not know what good ice cream taste like. Also the scoop serving is small for the price. I usually get one scoop the size of their two.

Cassidy M.

Yelp
Best ice cream in the whole flippin' Universe! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place! It is such a treat and a delight to come here. I look forward to it every year....whenever I can make it out to Abington. The atmosphere is heaven on Earth. Life is far more peaceful when you're out in Abington with We-Li-Kit your hand.

Maryan J.

Yelp
So happy I decided to stop on my back Providence! So other than the card machine being broken and a kind man offering to pay for my cone. This place has such fresh tasting ice cream! Ssoooooo delicious! Glad I stopped!

Erik W.

Yelp
I swung by We-Li-Kit Ice Cream earlier this week while I was on a trip to visit my grandparents in Litchfield, CT. The ice cream here is, frankly, fantastic. Some of the best that I can remember having. I had the Indian Pudding ice cream, which sounds gross, but was actually quite good. It's sort of a pumpkin spiced ice cream. My Dad had a couple of flavors, but I forget exactly which. Both were excellent as well. There are a few chunks of ice in the ice cream, which indicates that it is homemade. In addition to the ice cream, they have some fresh produce that is for sale. We grabbed some nice tomatoes. I believe they also have a petting zoo here for the kiddies.

Stephen D.

Yelp
The smell of freshly made waffle cones hands in the air. It is intoxicating. The ice cream is home made. It is great. The portions are huge. Be ready. My only tiny comment is that I wish they had sugar free flavors.

Melissa M.

Yelp
Yum!!!!says it all, local fresh ice cream, with warm waffle cones made to order, it doesn't get much better. They also have animals and space for the kids to run around, very popular on hot nights and the line can be long, but it usually moves pretty quick. Totally worth waiting for. Sizes are large and we share between the three of us.

Ariel H.

Yelp
A lot of ice cream tastes the same to me, but there's something about the texture of We-Li-Kit's ice cream that's particularly special. I've been pretty basic in my flavor choices in the two times I've been here (i.e., chocolate, coffee), but the creamy texture of this ice cream is amazing. They've been out of my first choice flavors each time, but I'm honestly happy to have an ice cream shop open during this time and I understand that there could be challenges in the supply line.
