We stayed here several times during our travels in Japan and everything was perfect. Definitely a posh hostel as hostels go. Also a little expensive but worth it. The rooms are spotless and there's a roof top lounge area where a complimentary lite breakfast is served. Considering the price of the rooms and the fact you must travel to the second floor to shower I was disappointed there's no butter for toast only margarine which is extremely bad for you. This is where management is being very stingy. Get butter back! Also coffee is the cheapest brand available. Avoid Saturdays as the price doubles. The staff are really nice and go out of their way to help you especially Filipo from Portuguese who has a mountain of information for foreign traveler's not speaking Japanese. A great guy. My main complaint would be charging ¥200 for parking bicycles.....really!!! This is cheap charlie money grabbing and is not necessary considering how expensive WeBase is. We encountered this in only one other place. Nowhere else does that to its customers.

A fantastic place for its location, facilities and cleanliness. It’s also pretty good value—we got a private room with breakfast included. ‘Ship’s Cat’ is a fun art piece welcoming you in and also a handy way to confirm you have arrived at the right place! All the staff were friendly and polite. When I lost my key card, I paid the ¥1000 yen fee at reception—but the key was later found and my money returned. A small but lovely gesture. The lounge on the 9th floor is well kitted out, with a library of books in a variety of languages (mostly Japanese but some English), cooking facilities, utensils and vending machines. Thank you to all the staff at WeBase for having us!

i enjoyed my stay here. the staff were friendly, and the room was comfortable. although it can be a bit tricky to move around after midnight since the room is small and any sound may disturb your roommates. the free breakfast was a nice touch though, with a simple selection of bread, cereal, and fruit juice. the common area had sockets and wifi, which made it perfect for getting some work done. the location is also convenient, just a 5-minute walk from a subway station. overall, i would recommend this place for anyone looking for a budget-friendly stay near hakata station.

I love the concept of having my own pod. It's very cozy. The service was great. I took one star off because they made me pay for a second towel.... come on hahahahaha that's kinda cheap but asides from that everything was perfect. I also had a hard time finding the place but that's because Google map sucks sometimes.

The Hostel is located 2 min from the subway station, and 15-20 min walking from Hakata Station. The capsule/pod is very spacious, with a adjustable light, hangers and a blackout curtain. I liked that even closing the curtain the capsule wouldn’t get hot. There are lockers for small bag and important items and also a designated area for bigger bags and coats. The bathrooms in the dorm were always clean. They have 2 shower rooms based on gender. The shower room has a minimum if 6-7 showers. They have baskets to place your clothes and personal items. Before the shower, there is room for changing, it is wide enough it can easily fit 3 people. I noticed the shampoo bottles were always full/refilled. Dryer and some extra amenities were also available at the shower room. The lounge is really good, the ac worked perfectly, enough chairs and tables to eat or work, and even bigger tables for groups. As expected they have information for tourist but also assorted books and mangas, even some in english. The kitchen is well equipped (oven, microwave, stove, plates, hot water, etc). The breakfast was simple but fresh. The first floor has a room for bigger luggage and also they have a washing/drying room, just make sure to have 100yen coins, if not ask the staff to exchange cash. TBH i can’t think of a negative experience, the staff was always friendly and ready to assist, they spoke perfect japanese and english. After checking out i visited another city but ended coming back to fukuoka and making a reservation in this hostel again. 100% recommended.

I had a great time staying with them. The public facilities here are wonderful with well-equipped kitchen for anyone who want to cook. The shower room was nice and clean with separated zone for dressing and showering in the booth. Staff there were really friendly and helpful especially Kong and Seunghee. The only con would be the bunk bed room was quite small with little to no space to open the luggage but the bed itself was spacious enough! (They also provide free earplugs which were very helpful for dorm type room and free yukata)
