My wife and I stayed three nights in November 2025 in an Executive twin room. The room was spacious and well appointed with comfortable beds. We greatly enjoyed the creative multi-course breakfasts; the evening lounge offering beer & wine and assorted nibbles; and the friendly and helpful staff. It is located in a quiet residential area only a few blocks from the main beach area and a short walk from the Yuigahama tram station. There are also several restaurants within walking distance. We were travelling throughout southern Japan for a month and WeBase Kamakura was one of the nicest places we stayed. Highly recommended. Besides, it features a giant space cat sculpture in front. What's not to like about that.

Great hotel. Great staff. Everything was super clean and accommodating. The free drinks and food every afternoon was great. We had an extremely rare Tsunami warning while there and the Hotel Staff walked us to the evacuation center. The hotel is 2 minutes from the beach. Couldn’t get better. The breakfast was amazing as well.

Rooms are very clean and beautiful. Amenities are L'occitane for day and night. Free food and drinks at night and morning. There is hot spring, sauna and rental bike. Neighborhood is very nice and beach is only 3mins walk. Free water bottles. Totally recommend!!!

WeBase Kamakura has been newly remodeled and is now a fantastic hotel with all private rooms—no longer a hostel. It’s the best hotel we’ve stayed at in Japan! Just a 1-minute walk to the surf beach and surfboard rental shop. The restaurant was super accommodating for me as a celiac, and the food was delicious. The communal sauna and bath were very clean and relaxing. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Highly recommend staying here!

Wonderful small hotel in Kamakura. Not far from the beach. Pretty far from the center of Kamakura, however there is a cute little train not far from the hotel that runs every 15 minutes or so to the Kamakura station. The rooms are spacious by Japanese standards. Well laid out, spotlessly clean, with nice Aquitaine amenities. There is a lovely communal bath on the lower level of the hotel. Breakfast is a delicious multi course meal including appetizers, salad, yogurt, soup, main course, optional curry dish, and dessert. Late afternoon in the lounge, some tasty sweet snacks were provided along with a daily alcoholic or non alcoholic cocktail. Highly recommended.

Hands down one of the best places we’ve ever stayed, clean and comfortable rooms and facilities. The breakfast was amazing! Staff were very kind and helpful. The bath and sauna were in great shape and never crowded. So very close to the beach and easy walking distance to a train station and restaurants.

Our favourite of all the places we stayed in Japan. It’s was beautifully renovated a year ago and is a very comfortable boutique hotel. Comfortable rooms, nice hot tub and sauna downstairs, nice welcome drink and snacks, great gourmet breakfast experience. It ticks all the boxes.

A perfect place for a stay in Kamakura (which I also highly recommend). We had a room for four which was really large by Japanese standards, including a very spacious bath. There is a public bath, also quite nice, the location is great, a few minutes to the beach, some more to the next local train station and some very good restaurants close by. The best thing about our stay - and completely unexpected - was the awesome breakfast. It is prepared in front of your eyes, a very tasty mixture of Japanese and western breakfast, including a nice small dessert served in the courtyard. I highly recommend the Hotel and hope to come back on my next trip to Japan.
