Weinhotel Pfeffer & Salz

Beautiful location a short 5-10 min walk from the village centre. A very warm welcome on arrival from Reception who was very helpful. The communal areas are modern and extremely well looked after. Breakfast was buffet style with cooked eggs if you wanted them. Breakfast was the same everyday and I felt this could have been changed abit. Our room was large but very dated. The spa bath and hair dryer did not work. There was no aircon. I felt that a relaxing lounge area with comfortable sofas would have been nice too. We would stay again but pick a different room.

We enjoyed our stay here so very much and would be very happy (read: would love to!) come back here again someday. Our room was comfortable and cosy, the service (reception) was authentically hospitable, breakfast buffet had high quality options (ham, pastries, fried eggs), interior deco was minimalistically pleasing to the eyes, and the trail/walking route to the village was enjoyable. Wow, this hotel had it all. The room we had was large and comfortable, the breakfast offering the best we have had 4 weeks into our 6 week trip The restaurant again was top notch, the food options were flavoursome and filling. Always room for sweets which again were lovelly.. The local wine (Pinot Gris) was the best we've had had in Germany Highly recommend the whole experience

Simply the best hotel in the Black Forest! My wife and I will definitely be staying again.

One of the best and most peaceful hotels we've been to. Excellent customer service (also in English!), big rooms with tall ceilings, cozy breakfast (must try their alcohol-free prosecco at breakfast), and delicious 3-course dinner (highly recommended). Location is 10/10, perfect base to travel around the Black Forest with public transport or car. Free KONUS travel card which even gets you to Basel Switzerland and almost to Strasbourg France all for free. Room is well ventilated, floor-to-ceiling windows with balcony was amazing. Bathroom was large. Down side was the twin beds instead of a double bed, and the pillows were thin. The room lacks amenities when you first arrive, but you can actually request so many things via the reception (check out their online guest guide by scanning the QR code). Recommended it to everyone. Will definitely return.

Very helpful staff. Gave us good "worth a visit" tips and looked after us well. Should be mentioned that the restaurant is closed 2 evenings (Monday and Tuesday ) but the town isn't far. Thank you for a pleasant stay 😊

Great location with easy 15 minute walk into the town. Our standard double room had lovely views and the bed was comfortable but air conditioning would have been welcome given the warm weather when we stayed. Advance booking for dinner is recommended but the food and service was very good. Overall excellent value for money.

Beautiful and relaxing place to stay. The balcony is facing up the greeneries, nice selection of breakfast. Very quiet at night. Delicious wine and affordable too. We saw full moon when we were there, clear sky nice breeze. Staffs are nice 10/10
