My husband and I had dinner here this evening. The servers we engaged with spoke great english, offered an English menu and found us a good table to sit out. The food was large portion sizes and great value. We enjoyed the wine and the view. We’d definitely return! 🙂

Great food with great prices. I ordered the Schnitzel, which was really good and homemade. I also enjoyed the fact that this is a historical restaurant in the heart of Trier with a marvellous view of the Basilica. The wines also had a really good price and were delicious.

A lovely experience in the heart of Trier! The outside seating is enchanting with views of the cathedral, the inside eis cozy and rustic. It is a great place to get local food and sample local wines! You order and pay at the bar up front and food will be delivered to your table. Portions are generous and wether you want a small snack, big meal, vegetarian option or meat dish, there is something for everyone. Perfect Saturday lunch in summertime👌

Wonderful place In front of the St Matthias Church You can fine looking at this amazing architecture (Pisa tower style) Food Very good, also with only vegetarian or fish options!! Very much appreciated! Very good service! Very good organisation! Normal/long waiting times; Also the charcuterie very good! They have olive oil upon request We loved it!! The interior is also lovely and typical! A place where to return ! Outside there is a countryside grapevine decoration all around the table! Just the perfect frame! Only minus, too much salt on the mushrooms and the extra white sauce on the salad! Our suggestion: keep it aside ;) See you next time time to try the very promising deserts

An easy bar. Popped in for a glass of wine - so no food on this visit (& last one) Good selection of wines. Very warm weather today (32°) so cooler inside.

I have been here plenty of times and I like this place . The food options are v limited but good , not so many vegetarian options though . Ofcourse plenty of wine options and also quiet good ones. A reservation is particularly almost required.

The drink and the food were good and the staff were kind and friendly. But there was a couple sitting at the table next to us and the man, who seemed to be in his 50s or 60s, started talking to us in an inappropriate way saying that we should leave the restaurant because of our religion !!!Then, his wife came and she also treated us in a way that we had to get up and leave there. I don’t know how someone can judge the others by their appearance, color of hair or eyes and decide what their religion is!!! We wanted to still stay and eat/drink but because of this negative energy, we decided to go somewhere else.

I took the tourist train through Trier and I saw this as we tooled around and I had to come back as soon as I got off that train! To my delight, they were able to seat me right away on their gorgeous outdoor patio. I was a little confused at first but soon realized that you actually go inside to place your order and then they bring the food out to you. I ordered a glass of white wine and the shrimp salad. The wine was delicious and perfectly complimented the salad. The salad was good. It was a little small so I wish I had ordered something else because it didn't satisfy my hunger but it was super tasty! I loved the gorgeous views provided on the patio. Everything was just so nice. The staff were great. I will definitely come back next time I'm in Trier!

I came here for a late lunch during a day trip to Trier. I got a glass of the #1 and the lyonnaise potatoes. Both the food and wine were amazing, service was pleasant and quick, and the ambience was great. Definitely want to come back and try more items at some point!

Great location, very good food, great price, and surprisingly uncrowded given where it is and what it has to offer.

So, this is a place you mainly go to for the wine and scenarios, but that happens to also have food on the side. Don't come here for some extravagant dinner. While the dishes are beautiful, you need a few to fill you up! However, the wine is superb, the service is great, and you cannot beat the view! And not only is it a spectacular view from the outside donning area, but whiteout a doubt, this restaurant has the most interesting interior as well! Absolutely stunning and an absolute must go!

A lovely place for some Riesling and local/European cheeses while sitting outside and people watching. This place is self serve, meaning you order and pay inside, and take your drinks to the seat of your choice. Once your food is ready they bring it to you. The cheese platter is delicious and the dry Riesling is worth getting c by the bottle. Prost!

Not bad, and pretty fun. They only serve wines from their own estate, and to be honest, I found most of them quite ordinary and dull. A Piesporter Goldtropfchen spatlese however is the bomb, and at 20 euros a bottle, honestly a steal. They have an ok beer selection, but limited. Get the weissbeer. Food is quite good; I had good soup, salad, and of course that classic German dish of sausage, sauerkraut and potatoes...all very good. Staff is very friendly; we went multiple times and they remembered us. Always packed...we had to sit outside, which would have been ok if they had heaters (oddly absent in German patios, unlike in Belgium or the Netherlands).

Steak was ok, won't try it again though, the cheeseburger very tasty; I would go back for that cheeseburger. Price is a little too high, maybe because it's in a touristy area. The staff was great & spoke some English which I was thankful. There's English menus, too. There's outside seating which is nice.

This Weinstube is very nice. You order your food yourself at the counter. The ham and cheese plates were good. It is a nice place to enjoy a german beer with simple food for a very reasonable budget. The scenery is nice. We like the german atmosphere of this place.

My husband and I stopped here for lunch and got wine and the Lyon Potatoes and something from the grill menu. Everything was good and the view and atmosphere was great.

Sehr schönes ambiente und nette Bedienung. Voir allem die Terasse ist im Sommer zu empfehlen.
