Welcome Hotel Lambafell

We really enjoyed our stay here! The hotel|Was clean and cozy. I have read in other reviews that some had trouble checking in and accessing a key, but maybe that has been remedied bc we arrived late after hiking all day. A code to access a room key had been emailed to us and check in was easy. |Rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. The hot tub was perfect after a day of hiking and travelling. Breakfast was really good and they have coffee and tea accessible any time in the lobby.|The scenery outside the hotel was beautiful, and I also enjoyed a run in the morning stepping right out the door from the hotel, down the road into a valley with waterfalls and a hot spring just 2 miles from Lambafell.|We would highly recommend this hotel!

This is a self check in hotel. Our room had not even one chair, no night lamps and wasnt the cleanest. On top of that water smell of rust and solfur. For what we paid I expexted more. Very nice views and reasonable breakfast included were the plus of the location

Great place with a jacuzzi, delicious breakfast, and wonderful mountain views. The location is close to sightseeing spots.

Gorgeous facility, poor service. I was hoping to give this place 5 stars but the service and small details do not live up to the property. Breakfast was advertised from 8am till 10am and shut down by 9 am, if you didn’t get there first, you didn’t get any scrambled eggs. We got there at 8:50 and the staff ignored us and our request to replenish the food. ||I also tried to contact the place before my arrival for a special request for my 83 year old mother who was travelling with me annd my daughter and they never returned my call or message, ||The hot tub was lukewarm, no toilet paper in the bathroom near the hot tub and towels you would find in a 2 star motel. Bottom line is, not worth the price we paid.

Not sure what all the bad reviews are about, but this place is pretty sweet. Well kept, beautiful place. Our rooms (101 + 102) were stunning. They have that log cabin feel. The bathroom was a bit smelly, but I think that’s because of the sulfer in the water. Fantastic “common area” and the amenities were great. Very cozy. Self check- in was after 4pm as described, where you call the number they have here at the front desk, and they give you the code to your room.

Great stay for my trip. I enjoyed the outdoor Jacuzzi in a clear night sky. The breakfast was included and tasted great! You can also use the coffee machine and free biscuits at any time of the day! The room was clean and spacious for 4 of us. Just that at the balcony, there's some spiders. But well it's nature eh?

Good hotel, though strange design |Rooms are comfortable and spacious.|View is not great|Housekeeper is some time away by car. When we came the electronic code did not work and we had to wait for two people coming by minibus. The were very helpful though no English at all.|Value for money is not good, this was the worst value for money hotel we taxed in Iceland during 2 weeks.|Breakfast is basic. The problem is that the kitchen is small for number of guests and there are too many tables. No way you can seat and enjoy around the table if you have a family. At the same time there is huge hall next door with chairs and sofas but no tables.

My son and I stayed at this charming place on our first trip to Iceland August 2023. It didn’t disappoint- very clean and orderly. We loved how quiet it was. It’s a gem of a place. The surrounding area is amazing. We spent time in the spa late at night and just listening to the quiet stillness of nature - which I don’t t hear a lot in my usual life 😏 I plan on visiting again with my family on our next trip!
