Welcome Inn 277 Motel

Booked two rooms for family. Was allocated two rooms with adjoining door which was great. Definitely did not look as nice as the photos. Unfortunately the rooms were in dire need of a renovation. Older style well worn furniture, no cutlery (one teaspoon) no glasses, walls that need a paint, blocked drain in one bathroom and no hot running water in another bathroom. A kettle with a melted electric cord. No safety view peep holes in door. |Even though we were in a quiet part of the hotel, unfortunately the noise from Glen Osmond Road made it difficult to sleep. Staff were very friendly and understanding. |Other guests were noisy but that could be that the rooms needed to be soundproofed? |Due to the nature of the accommodation we decided to cut our stay short.

Bathroom dirty; service was unnecessary rude other guests were inappropriate and nosy. Feels like it attracts 5ke wrong attention.

We stayed two nights The bathroom flooded and water in hand basin wouldn't go down very bad plumbing. Some of the lights didn't work. We had two televisions in the room but only one of them worked. Only got two towels and no washer or bath mat at all. Single bed wasn’ t made up with sheets. We would not recommend this motel at all. A lot of repairs need to be done. Was not happy at all.

We stayed here due to an emergency situation with my 4 kids under 3. Was given an upstairs room, which is what they had left at the time, was a struggle getting up and down. They saw that this was a struggle, so they let me know when a downstairs room came available, which worked in my favour. Very accommodating for our needs. Rooms were always kept clean, and the housekeeping lady always made sure you've got enough linen and clean towels and bin lineners. Lovely lady. The owner always made sure if you needed anything that your needs were met. I was looking for rentals at the time and didn't have access to a computer/printer. I was able to send application forms via email, and he'd print them for me. Thanks to this being done for me, I was able to secure private rental. So, on behalf of myself and my family, thank you. The service provided was excellent. Close to the park's with BBQ and big oval. Only downfalls like everywhere we go is the smoking area just under the stairs. Perhaps be moved to the street for occupational health and safety of others and air-conditioning intake. They generally stay to themselves.

Peter welcomed all guests with an energetic smile and friendly conversation. The freshly renovated rooms are spacious with big comfortable beds, located close to lovely local restaurants and a short walk to shopping centre for all your convenience. I was impressed by how quiet it was, easy to forget you are on a main road and short drive to CBD. Owned locally and run independently it is worth supporting people who genuinely enjoy what they do.

Whilst the rooms were clean. The motel room was terribly old and need complete demolition. Our mattress had a layer of plastic sheeting underneath the mattress protector presumedly to catch the wee??? that puddles in the sagging mattress. Noisy neighbours gather under the stairs as a smokers speakeasy at all times of the night. This should be rated as a one or two star motel Sorry.

We holiday in Adelaide every Christmas and have always stayed at this motel, we chose somewhere else last year as we had Best Western points.....bad decision.||We came back to the Welcome Inn this year, and we were very pleased with the new owner. The rooms had been refurbished, fabulous bed with nice fresh white linen and white fluffy towels. The room was super clean and fresh with everything we needed. We love the location of this motel, as it is close to the City, Norwood and Unley. The new owner was absolutely delightful, attentive and helpful. We wish him all the best with his new endeavour, he will be very successful simply because of his can do attitude and lovely nature.

The location is good and the rooms are small but serviceable but what ever they clean the room with is not liveable. From the moment we walked in it had this sickly over powering smell of washing powder like someone had spilled it on everything. We needed to leave the room. After having to sleep overnight we all woke up with headaches. They really need to do something about this to make this an enjoyable stay.
