We had a great overall experience at the property. Mr Sangeet at reception made our stay a 5* experience. He was very humble and catered to all our need with attention. Staff was cooperative and food was good. Everytime i visit nearby i prefer this hotel over any other in places like palampur or bir as this place has a unique vibe to it. Definitely recommended for a peaceful and calm stay.

The hotel is in a very bad shape. A heritage property but very low maintenance. There is no proper staff to handle the operations. The restaurant staff are not qualified enough to serve the guest. There are many hotels in the vicinity that charge as per the location, Taragarh charges you a bomb for providing absolutely nothing. Big rooms, bigger lawns but maintenance and hospitality next to none. Very very ill experience. Highly not recommended.

Very bad experience, there was no one at reception. We are asked to show our booking multiple times during the stay. We settled in a room and then 15 minutes later were asked to leave and then downgraded to a dirty clamped room. The floor was not even clean. What authority do you have to throw your paying guests out of their room during the night. Very rude gm, no sense of hospitality.

WelcomHeritage Taragarh Palace is a historic heritage hotel located near Palampur, Himachal Pradesh. Originally constructed in 1937 as a grand summer residence called "Al-Hilal" for the Nawab of Bahawalpur, it was later acquired in 1950 by Maharani Tara Devi, wife of the Maharaja of Jammu & Kashmir, who renamed it "Taragarh" after herself. Converted into a hotel in 1971, the property sits on a sprawling 15-acre estate amidst tea gardens and forests, offering magnificent views of the Dhauladhar mountain range. The hotel blends its historical European-inspired architecture with modern amenities, featuring 26 rooms, a dining hall, an outdoor pool, and a spa, providing a luxurious glimpse into the region's royal past. This place need some more professional staff. Food available here is not upto the mark!!!!

Expect essential things in your room to not work (warm water, door lock!). Expect to be transferred to a different room in the most chaotic way, just to find a different essential thing not working. Expect staff to give you four wrong(!) passwords for the WiFi in a row. On the upside lush nature around the hotel, incl. free-roaming monkeys.

My first visit to the place. Even though raining but I enjoyed thoroughly with my group of friends. It’s a heritage property and truly could find the same. Rooms are v good. Food is authetic. Just if they could add more indoor activities.
