A Royal Stay at Taragarh Palace Hotel During our trip to Taragarh, we were lucky enough to stay at the Taragarh Palace Hotel, and it felt like stepping into a piece of history. The palace itself is stunning, surrounded by beautifully maintained grounds that immediately set a tranquil tone. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Mornings started with a hearty breakfast in the grand dining hall, and evenings were spent enjoying flavorful dishes that were thoughtfully prepared. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, always making us feel welcome. One highlight of our stay was visiting the nearby Bajinath Shiva Temple—a peaceful and culturally rich experience that I can’t recommend enough. If you’re looking for a serene getaway with a touch of royalty, Taragarh Palace Hotel is absolutely worth a visit.

A Royal Stay at Taragarh Palace Hotel – A Truly Memorable Experience Our recent trip to Taragarh became truly unforgettable, thanks to our stay at the magnificent Taragarh Palace Hotel. From the moment we entered the property, it felt less like checking into a hotel and more like stepping back in time—into a world of royal charm, historic architecture, and serene natural beauty. The palace stands gracefully against the backdrop of lush greenery and well-maintained lawns, instantly creating a peaceful and inviting atmosphere. The first thing that caught our attention was the majestic structure of the palace itself. Its classic design, artistic detailing, and heritage-inspired decor make the place feel warm, regal, and full of character. Every corner of the palace tells a story, and simply walking around the property is a delightful experience in itself. The landscaping deserves special mention—the gardens are beautifully tended, adding freshness and calmness to the entire environment. Our room was equally impressive. Spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully furnished, it provided the perfect blend of comfort and elegance. The large windows offered soothing views of the green surroundings, making our mornings incredibly refreshing. The bed was comfortable, the amenities were complete, and the overall ambiance of the room made it easy to unwind after a day of sightseeing. It felt like a personal sanctuary where modern convenience met royal charm. Food was another highlight of our stay. Each morning, we enjoyed a hearty breakfast in the grand dining hall, which itself feels like a hall from an old royal residence. The aroma of freshly cooked dishes, combined with the vintage setup, made breakfast something we looked forward to every day. The evenings were equally delightful, with flavorful dishes that tasted authentic, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared. The chefs clearly put effort into both taste and presentation. Whether you enjoy Indian, Continental, or local Himachali cuisine, there’s something here to satisfy every palate. The staff deserves a special word of appreciation. From housekeeping to the restaurant team, everyone was polite, helpful, and genuinely caring. Their warm hospitality made us feel valued and welcomed throughout our stay. They were always ready to assist with anything we needed, and their attention to detail added an extra layer of comfort. One of the memorable experiences during our stay was our visit to the **Baijnath Shiva Temple**, located nearby. The temple’s peaceful atmosphere, beautiful architecture, and spiritual significance made the visit truly enriching. It perfectly complemented the tranquility of our stay at the palace. Overall, if you’re planning a getaway that combines luxury, heritage, peace, and natural beauty, **Taragarh Palace Hotel** is an excellent choice. Whether you’re traveling with family, friends, or your partner, this palace offers an experience that feels royal yet homely. Our stay here was relaxing, refreshing, and filled with beautiful moments—something we will always cherish. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a serene and royal retreat.

The hotel is in a very bad shape. A heritage property but very low maintenance. There is no proper staff to handle the operations. The restaurant staff are not qualified enough to serve the guest. There are many hotels in the vicinity that charge as per the location, Taragarh charges you a bomb for providing absolutely nothing. Big rooms, bigger lawns but maintenance and hospitality next to none. Very very ill experience. Highly not recommended.

WelcomHeritage Taragarh Palace is a historic heritage hotel located near Palampur, Himachal Pradesh. Originally constructed in 1937 as a grand summer residence called "Al-Hilal" for the Nawab of Bahawalpur, it was later acquired in 1950 by Maharani Tara Devi, wife of the Maharaja of Jammu & Kashmir, who renamed it "Taragarh" after herself. Converted into a hotel in 1971, the property sits on a sprawling 15-acre estate amidst tea gardens and forests, offering magnificent views of the Dhauladhar mountain range. The hotel blends its historical European-inspired architecture with modern amenities, featuring 26 rooms, a dining hall, an outdoor pool, and a spa, providing a luxurious glimpse into the region's royal past. This place need some more professional staff. Food available here is not upto the mark!!!!

My first visit to the place. Even though raining but I enjoyed thoroughly with my group of friends. It’s a heritage property and truly could find the same. Rooms are v good. Food is authetic. Just if they could add more indoor activities.

Expect essential things in your room to not work (warm water, door lock!). Expect to be transferred to a different room in the most chaotic way, just to find a different essential thing not working. Expect staff to give you four wrong(!) passwords for the WiFi in a row. On the upside lush nature around the hotel, incl. free-roaming monkeys.

We attended a marriage function here. Decoration and arrangements were good. Snacks were good but main course was below average.
