Weekly Farmers Market that has been operating for 9 years, Sundays 9am-1pm rain or shine. Small but with so much potential, it is in need of more foot traffic. Local farmers and neighborhood vendors sell their quality goods. Let's support local businesses and growers!

I love Wellington Square. The person who runs the farmer's market, Mellisa, is awesome, AND so are her baked goods! There is definitely a good core group of vendors too, and social distancing is practiced, so come masked up. I've purchased beautiful crystals, amazing photography art from Bass Imagery, and the vintage cloths. My all time favorite is the AWESOME Hemp CBD oil! My 17 year old cat's anxiety and pain levels, are but a fleeting memory. He's cool as a cucumber now! Amazing ethnic products, clothing, artwork, masks for sale, AND food, for all you foodies, from cerviche, Mediterranean cuisine and more. I go every two weeks to grab the crystals, hemp oils, and incenses for meditation, for sure. I get a couple photos, cards, and accessories, and groceries, all in one location. I may even start going weekly, I love it so much. Thank you Wellington Square.

Local Sunday open air market. Nobu creates uniquely beautiful cutting boards. Bakeries, fresh fish, arts/crafts apparel and food vendors.

I go here every Sunday to drop off my compost. Love this place! Always some great live music and outstanding vendors. A real gem. Here’s my cat with some beautiful carrots I bought last weekend. Look for the huge $5 bags of oranges too!

Wonderful relaxing community space. I come here often for the fresh produce, hot food, gift selection and live music. I bring my friends that visit from out of town.

The atmosphere was great. The vendors were nice and very attentive. I definitely will be going back.

Google
Wellington Square reflects community for the Crenshaw areas (Jefferson Park, Wellington Square, Adam District). It's lovely seeing more vendors participating. The live jazz ensemble creates a relaxed ambiance that's enjoyed by all ages. I'm very grateful to be apart of this community!

I love the ambience, and the live music, plus I love being a vender there..

Yelp
You know this farmers market isn't all that amazing when the post sign got graffiti all over it. [Hours]: Sundays from 9 AM to 1 PM. [Parking]: I was able to park on Wellington Rd and found plenty of spots to park, but there was also a small church parking lot right next to the market. [Amenities & vendors]: I counted less than 20 vendors from bread, bouquets, seafood, etc. It was nice to have a small jazz band, but you can literally walk in and out of the market in less than 10 minutes. You have too many farmers markets in LA that are much bigger and more exciting than Wellington Square Certified Farmer's Market. The only perk I can think of is how this market is located just a block away from the 10 freeway entrances.

Yelp
I LOVE this farmers market. The lady with the veggie stand right on the side of the entrance is the best! She's got great carrot bunches for $3.00 a pop and her ginger is the best! I bought a bunch of greens that she recommended for blood circulation.(aside from the ginger) It's best to arrive early as I did today to get the best. The first time I arrived at about 10:45 on a nice day and there was still a good selection but not as much as getting there at 9:30ish A.M. I've bought strawberries and blueberries there, but one of the guys there assumed I didn't understand Spanish and said something dumb, so I don't go to them any longer. The eggs there are wonderful and the farmer guy is very nice and helpful. Tomatoes are delicious here too. The hummus was okay, homeboys has a stand where they sell baked goods, nachos and salsa. The pick de gallo was yummy and very spicy. The sour dough break was pretty good too but too heavy for my stomach. I make a sandwich with one slice. I didn't dare go to the baked sweets stand but from far it looked like heaven, maybe for my birthday next month I'll treat myself. Lol someone mentioned tamale stand, I didn't see one. Not too many vendors but good prices and quality. I will be returning again once I've juiced the rest of my veggies. I do also make a quick run to the C.O farmers market in culver city on Tuesday's. Great beet bunches and green bunches deal 3 for $5.00. So between these two are my markets To to. Larchmont is overpriced and full of people I don't care to be around. But I do have to say best hummus!

Yelp
This is a super tiny market and there is live entertainment. Nothing organic offered as far as I could tell. I like that Compost LA is here and you can just drop off your compost at the entrance. Weigh how much you have using their scale and drop off in their bin. Easy street parking.

Yelp
Tiny but mighty farmers market! Visited it for the first time last weekend and it was a great experience. They had an awesome selection of produce, eggs, and other knick knacks. You can find speciality candles, delicious baklava, steamed bao buns, and refreshing agua frescas! It's definitely only going to get bigger and I hope more people in the community check them out. They're all so kind and deserve all the business! 100000/10

Yelp
I Would give this place a 5 star if I did not experience what I experienced on last Sunday on the 8th of March. I want to start off by saying that I am an avid Farmers Market attendee so I have frequent multiple Markets throughout the years CONDUCTING GOOD BUSINESS with common folk from fellow attendees to farmers and vendors. I started coming to the Wellington Square Farmers Market in the MidCity section of Los Angeles, where I was born and raised, around the third quarter of 2019 due to one vendor whose product I wanted to get my hands on and got myself adjusted to the vendors there UNTIL...... The day of March 8th, 2020 last Sunday after I had spent at least $50 so far just by buying produce, eating, & enjoying the scenery. After eating at Chef Sion's booth I took my business to the Restoreblendz booth who had the blended health drink mixtures but I had a SINGLE $100 bill to break down because I wanted to further shop there. I asked a couple of vendors to break down the $100bill and no one seems they couldn't do it. I took it to this one young lady who was a vendor who didn't have it and she suggested I go to the vendor next to her who had a bakery booth, which I found out after the fact she is the person running the event named MELISSA. Now MELISSA takes my $100 bill, looks closely, marked on it with the Counterfeit detector pen, & handed it back to me and said "NO THANK YOU" which left me confused because I Know just days prior the past Friday that I got paid I received that $100 bill straight from the bank. If she had a counterfeit marker pen for fake money and draw on it the bill WOULD TURN BLACK if it was counterfeit now a Yellowish color. I get that everyone makes mistakes BUT it didn't stop there. I already knew MELISSA assumed it was fake money so I went to other vendors to tell them about the ordeal so when I was talking to one lady whom I was highly familiar with since I first attended that farmers market about it MELISSA looked at me, walked past us saying "DON'T YOU DARE" at me twice as if I was using that event to SCAM MONEY from the people without her realizing THAT I HAVE SPENT MONEY WITH VENDORS SO FAR. So I watched her go to MULTIPLE VENDORS, some who I done business with on a consistent basis, and what I SUSPECTED OF HER telling other vendors NOT TO DO BUSINESS WITH ME after all this is one of spending AMPLE AMOUNT OF MONEY there, SHE SINGLED ME OUT AS A THEIF without even trying to talk to me about MY MONEY! NOW I left there felling disrespected and embarrassed I went to several other people INCLUDING ING THE BANK I GOT IT FROM, ALL VERIFIED that it was REAL!!!! Now I'm the furthest from perfect BUT a woman WHO CONSISTENTLY would k with money and RUNS A FARMERS MARKET should KNOW HOW to distinguish REAL FROM FAKE MONEY & if there was an issue she could have came and talked with me and I WOULD NOT HAVE TO TYPE NONE OF THIS BUT SHE DIDN'T! Now why she singled me out??? I am wondering if it is because I am a Black man with a $100 bill whose money just HAS TO BE FAKE so RUIN MY REPUTATION with OTHER VENDORS THAT I HAVE CONSISTENTLY SPENT MONEY WITH. That is BOGUS and INEXCUSABLE and I will be contacting the person or people who is responsible for her being there because SHE NEEDS TO BE REMOVED I felt HIGHLY DISRESPECTED & EMBARRASSED and because I would never do that to people of the community especially at a community event in an area I was born and raised in, I am a hard working citizen who pays his way with his hard earned money and people like her should NOT be ALLOWED TO service the people and if a woman WHO IS RUNNING a Farmers Market in a town I was born and raised in is falsifying accusations of a FEDERAL OFFENSE that produces PRISON TIME to other vendors who I have been spending money with to RUIN MY IMAGE AND REPUTATION I mean that is a serious issue that must be dealt with I was able to put my $100 into good use at a Ralph's (rather did it at a Farmers Market) I am highly upset and I will no longer ATTEND the Wellington Square Farmers Market and all the vendors that I frequented at that location I would have to do business outside the circumference of the Wellington Square Farmers Market UNTIL she is REMOVED from her position there

Yelp
Perhaps COVID has impacted this farmer's market negatively, but there was not much in terms of selection. There were only three fresh produce vendors: 1. all the vegetables you might want + berries, 2. stone fruit + eggs, and 3. oranges. Also, I saw no indication that the produce was organic. So it's a great market if you just want to grab and go, with easy parking and prices lower than at other farmer's markets. If you are looking for a wide selection of produce vendors from which to pick and choose, this is not the market for you.
google avatar

Kathleen C.

Yelp
I love coming to this farmer's market on Sundays. The market has such a small family and community feel, and all of the vendors are professional and kind. I will be back! :)

Yelp
The Wellington Square Farmers Market in MidCity, is unlike any other, you'll be surprised what treasures you may find. The vendors are friendly and very knowledgeable about their products. You can taste and see the freshness and quality of the produce, baked goods, nuts, and honey. Come and see what unique and one of a kind treasures are waiting to be purchased.

Yelp
I finally got around to visiting our new neighborhood farmer's market, and what a jewel it is. There's a good mix of farmers and vendors providing a variety to the strolling shoppers. My brother has been on a blueberry kick lately so I quickly found them, along with some very nice raspberries, blackberries, and some absolutely gorgeous strawberries. I tried some small mandarins that were also found their way into my bag. I sampled some of the various breads and cakes, but held off on them. For next time, I may go for some of the baby Bok Choi and Thai broccoli, and a few of the other nice salad greens I saw there. I got there during the last hour, but was still able to shop and do some tasting and sampling, as well as enjoy the live music. It was invigorating, yet relaxing at the same time. It's a great Sunday midday outing. Lots of parking available, reasonable prices, high quality fresh foods, fruits and veg, and a very friendly atmosphere, this is a very welcome addition to the neighborhood. Give it a try!

Yelp
Came here on a cloudy Sunday, my grandma randomly spotted this place as my father wanted to check it out also. It has a variety of veggies, fruits and food stands. What caught my attention was how the vendors were friendly, quick and efficient, plus it had plenty of free parking around the block, in front, etc.. Hope they have more vendors coming soon to make this my new CFM. Happy hunting :)

Yelp
Finally a certified farmer's market right here in the neighborhood! On Sundays too! Today is the first day. Vegetarians will be ecstatic to know that the food vendors offer only vegetarian dishes. There is a lot of particiation from local restaurants and bakeries, delicious veggie tamales etc. They had beautiful inexpensive flowers and live music too.
google avatar

Yelp
If you like to meander a farmers market for hours this is not the one for you. If you are using this as your fresh produce source then you'll be pleasantly surprised how you'll find everything you need in this small but efficient space. You actually will find a little more as well (flowers, hummus man, live music, etc). Parking is easy and I've only had really pleasant interactions with vendors and patrons. So glad this market is in our already awesome neighborhood!
google avatar

Elana R.

Yelp
Lovely little market w great live music, yummy hummus and a few fruit and veggie stands - v small but good vibes

Yelp
I got here around 9:10 AM on Sunday morning. Some of the vendors were still setting up but all the farmer's stands were ready. I should have walked around and checked out everyone's produce before buying anything but I was in a rush so I only stopped by Castellano's. He was very friendly. Fresh fruits and vegetables. Huge bag of oranges for $5! They smelled so sweet that I could not resist [: Next Sunday, I plan on trying some of Angelo's organic fruits and vegetables!

Yelp
This farmer's market has just about everything you need and not much more to distract you. You'll find fresh vegetables, gorgeous florals, some home made aprons (So adorable I'd buy one if I didn't have too many/actually cooked occasionally), jams, hummus, and some tasty vendors making take and go items (or take and sit in one of the many small tables in the shaded area near the entrance). Another bonus is the ample parking. Where else will you be able to say that in LA?! I purchased some mango jam that is so fresh it begs to be eaten in one sitting and tried some of the best hummus I've ever had (flavored with chipotle, yes please). I also had a very pleasant experience. Even more incredible is that this is a farmer's market with a mission; it was created to bring fresh, certified produce to a broader audience. Little (or non-existant) on profit for the managers, big on love. What's not to love about that?
google avatar

Ivy E.

Yelp
This market has become the highlight of my Sunday. Riding the bikes over to stock up on as much produce as we can carry is a great start to the morning. All of the vendors are helpful and some come from quite a distance. I'm addicted to the tamales (both savory and sweet varieties) and just about everything that I've tried from the Middle Eastern offerings... their babaganoush is to die for! See you there! Ivy
google avatar

Kim S.

Yelp
Such a lovely neighborhood market. It's a great way to connect with the community while getting great produce and other items. I typically don't eat eggs, but the ones straight from the farm are incredible. And my kids love the hands-on cooking demos and music.
google avatar

Leslie T.

Yelp
I've been choosing this neighborhood farmers market as my first stop for weekly marketing for the last several summer weeks. Prices are reasonable, produce is really delicious (taste for yourself, there's lots of sampling on offer) and it's an intimate friendly scene. Fresh eggs (bring back your old egg cartons for reuse) make me think twice before going back to supermarket eggs. There's some occasional end of day discounting - I got some unexpected leeks as a result and made refreshing lovely chilled vichyssoise.
google avatar

Zedar B.

Yelp
We are new to the neighborhood and visited for the first time today. There were not many vendors (didn't see the tamales that previous posters mentioned), but the ones we did see were very friendly and the produce and hummus were great. I am not very happy with the produce or eggs at our local Ralph's so I think we will be regulars here. We used to live near the Larchmont Farmer's market, Even though the Wellington market has fewer vendors and less selection than Larchmont or Hollywood, I really prefer it because it isn't too crowded. I am so happy that we found this market within walking/biking distance!!!
google avatar

Stephan Vladimir B.

Yelp
When we moved to Mid-City from Santa Monica we figured we'd have to go back to SM for the farmers' market there. We were wrong. This farmers' market is very small, but still has everything we need. Fresh eggs, berries, citrus, baked goods and vegetables. The tamale and Greek food stalls are both excellent. There are bigger farmers' markets with more selection, but everything this one has is very good -- and it has enough to be our weekly stop.

Heather M.

Yelp
This is a great market! It's small and lovely and has everything you need. Great eggs, honey, produce, bread, juices, energy work. There's always music. There's lot's of parking around the neighborhoods so it can really be an easy stop instead of a destination. But it can be that too! The first Sunday of the month includes a flea market. Come out and support.

E S.

Yelp
No idea what these people are smoking. I traveled here from the Valley this Sunday and this is what I have learned: 1. Address on website is incorrect 2. There were TWO stalls selling veggies 4. There were FOUR other stalls selling food and 5. We were the only people there to shop! 6. Don't trust Yelp reviews! Not worth time, effort. Look elsewhere.
google avatar

CL T.

Yelp
I have to agree with Therese G's review. I too am very happy about a CFM that's close to home. I'm still going to visit the Culver City and WeHo CFM as well but it's a treat to have somewhere close to go on a Sunday. It's truly a gem and I've been introduced to these Cara Cara Oranges which I love. Last week, I got the perfectly sweet Pink Lady Apples from a vendor. A lot of vendors are selling fruits and veggies that are organic as well as the absences of harmful sprays and chemicals. I'm impressed by the turnout. It's off to a great start. I just wish that they had more vendors this week and possibly bring back the live music or a DJ from a local radio station to get people there. Today I got the most perfect grapefruits that are sweet and about the size of a 4 year old's head. I also got some garlic and onions on the cheap. It's cheaper than going to Ralphs and the customer service is tops!
google avatar

Yale S.

Yelp
Thea Wellington Square Farmer's Market is a hidden gem. The produce is fresh and the vendors are so nice! I highly recommend!

Sophie B.

Yelp
A wonderful neighborhoody gem! There's always live music, great vibes, and I end up meeting someone new and fabulous that lives locally every time. The fruit and vegetables are so fresh, people rave about the eggs, there's an interesting selection of vendors, tables and chairs so you can sit and soak up the atmosphere, excellent coffee, a kick ass bakery with croissants that I can never seem to turn down and several other yummy food options.

Sandra G.

Yelp
Love this Farmer's Market. I just discovered this neighborhood Farmer's Market. It's small, but it has everything you want without the crowds. Cool people, plenty of parking, prices are low in comparison to other markets. Great place to have some breakfast, listen to some music after church. Hidden gem!
google avatar

Amani S.

Yelp
A great community Farmer's Market. Parking is much easier than at Larchmont, live music is better too (there was a great Jazz band there today). The selection isn't as great but the more we work together, and the more we visit, the more vendors they can get. All of the vendors are so nice and friendly, you know that they care about what they are doing. If you live in Mid City, you have no excuse not to stop by! They have everything you need - fresh eggs, great veggies, amazing Thai food, homemade jam, Homeboy Bakery items and friendly people.
google avatar

Mihee K.

Yelp
I was in town last Sunday visiting a friend and sweetly surprised to see a farmer's market near her home last Sunday. It's great to see a farmer's market supporting the local community and bringing in people from all around who need outlets to support their trade. This is a perfect opportunity for people to open their doors to their neighborhood friendlies and buy delicious veggie food.
google avatar

Christine L.

Yelp
Great, cozy, friendly farmers market. Plenty of parking. A lot less crazy/hectic than the Larchmont farmers market. A lot less dodging of strollers and designer babies.

Angelica C.

Yelp
We love the farmers market. The eggs are amazing and the produce great too. Support this market!
google avatar

Cynthia A.

Yelp
I'm giving it a 5 Star just because I want to encourage more people to come. This is a small market but I love that our little neighborhood tries to bring people together. I love that the vendors and the patrons are a perfect blend and representation of our neighborhood. Today there was a jazz quartet playing and I have to say they are excellent! I hope they keep coming back! It's perfect music to listen while you hang out and have a tamale from the tamale man or some pastries and coffee from the Home Boy Bakery. Today I had the BEST chicken tamale. Next time I go I have to get his business card. There is a vendor that sells fresh roasted peanuts. They smelled heavenly . Everyone is really friendly and there are some ladies that sell their jewelry, soaps and fresh flowers. But the MAIN reason I go is to have a massage from the Ki Energy guy. I don't even know is name and he knows very little English, but I call him my "medicine man". His treatments help me with my digestion , stress and sleep. It's a little embarrassing to be on the massage table for all to see....but the results are phenomenal. (No clothing is removed). You can ask him to close the tent but when it's warm weather I don't bother. If you visit this market and don't try my medicine man you are really missing out! The treatments are $30. It was hard to focus with the lovely smell of the roasted peanuts!! I really hope more people would come. It would be a shame if they had to close due to low patronage.

Hannah C.

Yelp
The best eggs and great produce and juice. We love this farmer's market! They often have live music and cooking classes for kids. It's simply the best!
google avatar

Kristine G.

Yelp
I love that this is in the neighborhood - a little small but convenient & has the essentials that I want. I haven't seen a tamale stand as some reviews have stated, but I like the veggies, fruits & eggs that are available here. Open every Sunday, rain or shine.
google avatar

Mason B.

Yelp
Room to stroll! As much as I love Larchmont's Farmers market it's a bit claustrophobic. Wellington's Market offers easy parking, room for baby carriages and bike parking. The produce is great, vendors are knowledgeable and friendly and the volunteer staff of the market is present and helpful. There's homemade Tamales, a huge flower stand, French pastries, children's activities, music and seating. And there's room for the market to grow!
google avatar

Raquel R.

Yelp
Great lil farmers market for a Sunday morning! Its not too big, just a few vendors but all are very nice and helpful. Homeboy bakery was there this past Sunday.
google avatar

Michael S.

Yelp
I love this Farmers Market - it's in a great part of town and it has a fantastic vibe. The foods available are really good quality (as should be), the prices are cheaper than other Farmers Markets I've been to, and I love the fact that it's completely vegetarian. You have to try the veggie tamales! They're outstanding!
google avatar

Zoom Z.

Yelp
It's great to have this market in this neighborhood. All of the vendors are terrific. Had the best hummus! Can't go wrong with La Maison du Pain baked goods. The strawberries were over the top sweet and delicious. Plus, it was fun to see my neighbors there!
google avatar

Nick K.

Yelp
This is a great farmer's market. This is a real market where you meet the real farmers. The fruit and veg is excellent and the summer season has great finds. Check out the avocado, strawberries, melons, cantaloupes, and much more.

Monica D.

Yelp
What a cutie CFM. I'm happy to walk over and get me a tamale every Sunday morning. Besides the Corn Maiden tamales that fill my hungover belly, there's Middle Eastern food and pretty flowers, and pretty people running around this diverse LA neighborhood. So grateful to have a farmer's market nearby. Take that you fancy Hollywood hoodlums.

Allan D.

Yelp
**************************************************************************** Farmer's Market is every Sunday from 9am to 1pm at Wellington and WA Blvd....that is just a few blocks west of Crenshaw. There is plenty of street parking on WA Blvd! ************************************************************************** Our Certified Farmer's Market in the MINC area is really quite special. (MINC= Mid CIty Neighborhood Council) Being "Certified" assures us that all goods are super fresh. But we also have some really unique...sometimes exotic items being sold there too.....right here in the MINC area!! Cara Cara Oranges: They are believed to be a mutation discovered in 1976 at the Hacienda de Cara Cara in Valencia, Venezuela. They did not enter US marketplace until late 1980's. Their flavor is described as evoking cherry, rose petal and blackberry. It is sweet and low in acid. They are currently $1.50 per pound at Farmer's Market. Delicious. Pomelo: is a large citrus fruit which is native to Southeast Asia. It is often called the Chinese grapefruit. It can be eat like a grapefruit although it's taste is completely different. It sweet and has very little to no bitterness. I am totally hooked on these. Pink lady apples: originated in Western Australia. They are named for the pink hue they carry. They have been grown in US for only about 20 years. Their flavor is described as refreshing, sweet and champagne like in taste. Actually, they do remind of champagne a tiny bit. Flowers: I have tried several. They are so fresh that they last at least a week. (I do trim ends and change water every 3 days.) My favorite for it's very strong, long lasting beautiful scent are the tuber roses. Just a few stems of them dispersed around house leave a terrific smell throughout...for at least a week! Much more to rave about but I will stop here to say that there honestly has not been a disappointment found yet in the items sold here. (I have also tried pungent radishes, many juicy berries, fresh garlic, great red onion, delicious farm fresh eggs, the best honey ever and various fantastic baked goods, etc, etc, etc!!) So come on out and embark on the exploration of it soon...and often. p.s. I am told the arrival of PEACHES is about a month away as is farm fresh CORN! Come take a stroll thru... regards, Allan D 04.2010 **************************************************************************** Farmer's Market is every Sunday from 9am to 1pm at Wellington and WA Blvd....that is just a few blocks west of Crenshaw. Yelp
This is a wonderful resource for healthy eating and living. The produce is fresh and delicious. The breads are delectable. The parking is convenient. The people are welcoming. The prices are right. The vendors are willing to take advantage of teachable moments. Since I worship on Sunday mornings, I am always "late" and only wish that I might have been one of the "first comers" to get a full choice of the available items. Thanks to those who persisted to make this market a reality. I recommend it highly. "Jackie" - Lafayette Square

RL B.

Yelp
I had my first chance to check out the new farmers' market in Mid-City and I couldn't have been more pleased. There were a variety of booths with fresh fruits and vegetables. I walked home with just a bit my first time out - broccoli, BASIL (it was terrific!), and some super sweet and juicy naval oranges. The sellers were all helpful and friendly. There was a relaxed and happy feel to the place. I can't wait for Sunday to roll around again!

Lorraine G.

Yelp
I'm so happy to have an organic farmers market so close to home with easy parking! The produce is delicious and lasts for weeks. You have to try the gourmet tamales. Yum!
