"Night Life in Central The great thing about a city like Hong Kong is that it's always buzzing at all hours! On this particular evening, I'd gone to have a suit made at shop called Lapel in Central (very close to the mile-long set of escalators) and after having some Vietnamese cuisine, went to meet my friends who had opened a Dessert Bar called Riquiqi (meaning Tiny in French)."

Yelp
I've only visited the UK a few times, so it explains why I've never been to a Pizza Express until now. Great first impression, though! The Lava pizza is a great vegetarian option: fresh burrata mozzarella, basil, kalamata olives, cherry tomatoes, and tomato sauce. On the menu it mentioned having chilli oil but mine didn't seem to have it; either way without it it was still pretty tasty. I also tried the Alba pizza which was also a hit for my tastebuds! Can't remember what type of sausage it had but me likey. Surprisingly, service was quite attentive during lunch; our server was quick to fill our waters whenever we were low and always checked up on us to see if we needed anything else. Though this is a chain, fresh ingredients and the right amount of seasoning make all the difference. I will for sure return many times. :)

Yelp
We're surrounded by amazing food in Hong Kong.....yet my "somewhat pickier-eating" 8-year old kid begged us for pizza! (Granted we dragged him all over town our first day here and made him try dozens of new foods) We found this hidden franchise place and wow! It was a pleasant surprise. The kids and husband enjoyed their Margherita and American (pepperoni) pizzas and I had the the Marsala pasta. And the Apple tart reminded me of a Tarte Aux Pommes, my Parisian friend made once. A nicely done franchise. Lots of ex-pats and English speakers. Great vibe.

Yelp
Pizza is pizza right. Never been something I've craved, and to be honest I don't often head to Pizza Expresses in Hong Kong as it seems a bit crazy to eat in a restaurant that I grew up chowing down in when growing up in the UK. A pal organised dinner and I was happy to go along. What struck me most is that PE is now super trendy. The decor has moved on with the times. The location on Wellington Street is fun, welcoming and even boasts outdoor space. Hello! Yes, I will have a glass of wine outside while I wait for my pals. The servers are great. Super friendly and happy to help. The food is also as tasty as I remember. Pizzas were thin crust and crunch. Full of flavour. We opted for a summer special Hawaiian that boasted pineapple relish and a Peking Duck pie. Yummo! We also ordered a couple of pastas (pesto spaghetti) and a crab meat linguine. Both deliciousness on a plate. Oh, and a salad. The biggest salad in the world! The menu is in English and Chinese, fab ... And gives you handier pointers (in calories) of the healthier options to choose. Thank you to those watching their waist lines (clearly not our table that night). Now although I had a great time, I am a little weary of the hygiene of the help. I popped into the loo and noticed a server coming out before me who skipped the sink. I didn't think anything of it, maybe there's a sink inside the cubicle. There wasn't. Now, I may be a germaphobe, but it did put me off my plates a little... Not that it distracted me too much from getting my pie hole round some pies!

Yelp
Thin-crust pizza with premium ingredients with friendly and attentive staff, although a chain, this Pizza Express is worth a visit after a long long day. Centrally located along the Mid-Level Escalators, the Wellington store is as easy to get to as it is as easy to finish eat on. We ordered a round of 3, and got too more. Big bill, buy well worth the price.

Yelp
Pizza Express at HK airport is my pre-flight go to meal. I know what I am getting all the time and it comes out just the way that I like...Hot and Quick. This is not a typically US pizza joint. There will be no NYC style styles oozing grease and smothered in meat. Nor is this a Chicago style deep dish joint that more or less serves a casserole that requires eating utensils to navigate. Pizza Express is good, simple fast food. The Lava pizza is excellent for vegetarians. By no means would I ever deprive myself of a good pepperoni pizza like the American, but the Lava is a far better pizza. Sides: garlic knots are awesome - get them. The chili oil on the table is mild and is a highlight. This place is great for kids and perfect comfort food. It does its job well.

Yelp
One of the best pizzas in town, and as far as my experiences of Pizza Express in Hong Kong to date, it is certainly the best Pizza Express in town. Personal favourite is the "America's Hottest" pizza which never fails to please. As far as beers go, try the New Zealand brew they have on offer, a lovely taste and better value than the Peroni, good though that is.

Yelp
Despite a previous mediocre experience at another HK Pizzaexpress, as I was passing by, came in, spotted a nice table with bench seating and natural light, asked if I could seat here, but instead the manager offered (maybe ordered would be more accurate...) to seat me a few tables away, at a table with chairs only and in a darker area. So can't comment on the quality of the food, other than the glance I had at a pasta dish on my way out which seemed to confirm I would enjoy a far better customer experience elsewhere. Ended up at Motorino on Shelley Str. where I was greated with a smile :-)
