This place is enormous. So big I half expected a shuttle service or at least a sign saying “You are now leaving the park.” Immaculately maintained though — very tidy, very proper, very good show. The dump station is a thing of beauty. Efficient, clean, and deeply satisfying. I left feeling emotionally lighter. Don’t ask. We slept brilliantly. Proper, uninterrupted, Wife-approved sleep. The kind where you wake up refreshed and slightly suspicious. The kitchen is… minimalist. Lovely room, plenty of space, and absolutely no equipment. It’s less “communal kitchen” and more “conceptual art installation titled Cooking Is a State of Mind.” The laundry works fine but is the least clean we’ve seen in all of NZ. Not awful — just… lived in. Like it’s seen things. Prob best not to ask what. All in all: cracking campsite, great vibes, top-tier dumping, excellent sleep. Bring your own kitchenware and lower your laundry expectations. Would stay again.

Huge park and only 20 mins from the ferry to the South Island. This facility is a bit confusing when you drive into it as looks like you are at a recreational center but you are going the right way. It has a massive reception with everything you could possibly need and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Came back for 1 night with very late check in and everything was emailed to us and they had a drop box for map and gate code. Very efficient and appreciative. 🙏 The kitchen, bathrooms and showers are immaculate with 2 big stoves and lots of washing stations. Tons of seating for everyone. Must bring your own cooking pots and utensils as didnt see any. My only wish was hat they had a garbage inside or right out the door. We are coming back in 1 week, late check-in and they were kind of enough to put us in our same sites so would be easy to park. Thank you! Bonus: we pulled into our site and next to ours was a mom and dad with 8 little baby ducks sleeping on the grass. So adorable.

The rooms are a bit old. However clean and well maintained. Bunk bead had a very thin mattress. Outside of the campground, there is nothing in walking distance. The children's playground seems very well assorted. Bathroom is clean and good water pressure in the shower.

I stayed here for the summer holidays with my kids as a powered camping site . I was disappointed in several ways . The toilets were not enough for the whole crowd they accommodated and it was quite messy in the mornings. The kitchen was lacking the basic amenities like sponge , cleaning towels etc which I expect as basic needs in a Top 10 park. Only good thing was the kids enjoyed the hired bike ride .

I highly recommend this holiday park; it offers excellent value for money. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, with everything from the accommodations to the service being of exceptional quality. I will definitely be returning to this location the next time I travel from Auckland to Wellington.

From the warm welcome and the answering of questions about buses at check in, I thought that this would be a good park.|The park is a 5-10 minute walk from a bus stop to take you directly into Wellington. Cost is $6.50 each way for cash and buses are quite regular (from every 15 minutes, which is lucky as the first bus drove straight past us!)||The park has all the standard amenities and the powered site we had was a large area and had a picnic table. The dump site is very well planned and can accommodate more than one van at a time and does not block any roadways.|There is also plenty of wildlife around (ducks and ducklings).||The best part, though, was one of the shower blocks. It had proper shower cubicles with rain shower heads, and the shower head was high enough for a 6ft2 person to stand under rather than coming out of the wall at shoulder height. This then gave the most refreshing shower I've had in any park. All the blocks were clean and modern, but this block was one I went out of my way for.

We stayed at this holiday park because it offered laundry services and was fairly close to the downtown area. We also wanted to be close to where the ferries were. Of all the holiday parks we stayed in during our visit to New Zealand, this one had the best restroom/shower combo facility. It was clean and quiet. Thank you!

Strongly and highly recommended for any travelers. On arrival the staff were welcoming, informative and made sure we had everything we needed before we left for our room. Excellent room which was comfortable and practical for the type of trip we were on

Yelp
Disappointing - lazy staff unable to use their initiative! Despite 2 bookings made weeks ago the staff were unable to process two campervans next to each other, apparently there were heaps of people with the same surname so they didn't know who was who! REALLY!! Our surname is not that common. Nice sites with loads of empty spaces which were never filled so would not have been a problem! Showers and toilet blocks left a lot to be desired! We then asked if they could order us a taxi into town, unbeknown to us the receptionist called a friend who arrived with a van - took a long time charged twice as much as the taxi we used for the way back (and quite possible was not insured for taxi passengers) A disgrace!

Yelp
What a joke! $50 for a non-power tent site and the amenities are almost non-existent. Yes, they have a coin-operated laundry and a playground for the kids but the kitchen has NOTHING in it. When I asked why there were no plates or cutlery they said people took things so they no longer outfitted the kitchen. The campground is a complete ripoff in an industrial part of town. The camping options are scarce in Wellington to be sure, but steer clear of "top 10 holiday park." It's an expensive joke.
