Wellness & Congress Hotel Dvorak Tabor

Centrally located in an old brewery just off the market plaza in Tabor. Lovely, friendly Front Desk staff, good communication beforehand via e-mail, adding paid parking was easy and a parking spot had been booked for me when I arrived! Large bedroom with all equipment including air conditioning. Comfy bed, well equipped bathroom, good Wi-Fi connection. I struggle to find anything wrong! Maybe the curtains could have been dark to avoid waking up really early. Otherwise all fine. Breakfast was super and varied. Even the check-out was straightforward. Too bad I did not get the chance to try the spa facilities! All said, incredible value for money. I'll be back!

I booked this hotel because it seemed like a good option for me. And what a surprise… it exceeded all my expectations! The receptionists were friendly and helpful. The rooms were good, and the bathroom was spacious, which I always appreciate. The breakfast buffet was excellent! Plenty of delicious options to start your day right. I also used the wellness facility, specifically a beer bath. It was a moment of relaxation, especially for my legs after walking long distances. All in all, definitely 5 stars worthy!

The hotel looks very nice. It is located very close to the center. There is a very intimate parking lot in the hotel area, where parking was not a problem (or there is a paid parking lot nearby). The room was spacious, clean and we were welcomed with sparkling water, wine and sweets. The procedures were very pleasant, especially the lady who always introduced us. At the same time, she was very accommodating and willing. The staff was generally very accommodating, helpful and smiling. My partner and I enjoyed our stay very pleasantly and we both left satisfied.

We booked a superior room and expected something similar to what was on their website. They provided a dark room with two small windows to the roof. Everyone can judge the difference between a photo on the Internet and the real thing. We complained to the reception, but they had no interest in solving our problem, they just said that the meters were fine. I feel disappointed and cheated.

We've stayed 2 nights and having a "standard" room, spacey with super comfortable bad, large bathroom with windows what can open for fresh air. Really rich and refilled breakfast was a plus. My wifey appraised the "honey"massage as well (had to pre-book)

I stayed for 3 nights on a business trip. The hotel is in a former fortress/brewery so quite interesting architecture. It is right in the center of the town so great location. The breakfast was excellent & the staff quite helpful.

For the price, I was very surprised how unprofessional the servise was. When we arrived, the receptionist announced our room number loud enough for the whole lobby to hear. The room had a huge window with nice view of the river, but only had thin curtain that did nothing to stop the sun from shining directly into the bed in the morning. At 8:30am we were woken up by room service comming in to clean?! By the sound, we were not the only room they woke up. We had to put a DND card on the door next night, but since the sun woke us up anyway I heard them going around waking up other rooms again. The breakfast bufet was ok, but held in an underground space with little staff that did clean up the dishes, but I didn’t see them wiping tables or setting up new cutlery for incomming guests - we always had to get cutlery from the bufet ourselves. On booking.com the hotel advertises parking on premises, but doesn’t mention the capacity is quite limited. You can pay extra for a guaranteed parking spot or pay for parking on town parking lot infront of the premises if you’re not lucky.

We didn't stay at the hotel but booked a spa package including access to the hotel pool, jacuzzi, sauna and beer bath with beer consumption followed by rest on a bed covered with hay. Overall, it was a pleasurable experience. The spa facilities were, overall, in good condition. We noticed missing wall paint in some places and a bit of dirt in some corners, but it wasn't anything to complain about. We would have stayed at the hotel overnight, but it was completely sold out. So, this rating is only about the spa/beer bath experience.

Dvorak Hotel and Restaurant are located in the building of a former brewery. It has been carefully restored to a modern standard. For the city of Tabor it is a premium venue. The lunch would cost approximately $25 per person at least. The food was quite nice. The mushroom soup and zander we had were not bad at all. However, the service - whilst pleasant - was relatively slow. Especially considering that only two tables were taken. Table set up was kitchy with a rose-flower table cloth. And the ventilation did not work very well. Even though the venue is a non-smoking one, we could smell the smoke coming through the ventilation. We loved the fact that we could easily park on the yard in front of the restaurant while parking anywhere in the city center was packed. So on the balance we quite liked the lunch we had there, and we might be back, although this wouldn't be our first choice.
