Wells-Next-the Sea Beach Cafe has certainly expanded over the years to meet the ever growing needs. It has the perfect location with being a short walk through the pine tree woods to this stunning, unspoilt beach. I really prefer out of season now as the cafe is overwhelming during busy periods. Noisy and crowded. In my opinion I think food and beverages are over priced here and over rated. I miss the days of hot tea pots and china cups with a teaspoon instead of paper cups with the tea bags dangling and wooden stirrers....I miss sandwiches made to order and homemade cakes and quiche. Didn't give full stars for service as it's basically self service with drinks. The cafe is dog friendly. Ideal for families and groups of people. Parking available but gets full quickly during busy periods. ( Pay at meter ). Will return to the beach cafe when visiting as it's the only one near the beach ⛱️ 🏖️

A fabulous "by the beach cafe". Clean, very clean and very well presented and supported by some friendly and willing to help staff. A great range of hot and cold drinks as well as a good range of hot and cold food. An excellent find 👏 👌

I love coming to Wells and the Beach Cafe is lovely. The food is great, plenty of seating and absolutely lovely staff. We tied the pizza from the hut this year. The Hog Roast special was superb. Staff could not have been better. Friendly and helpful. I wish you great success as you certainly deserve it.

Great ice-crean but a bit of a queue. A beautiful beach nearby. Well worth a visit.

Nice place, nice beach. Big car park but full before 10am. Unfortunately I have to edit my review. The breakfasts are very good, baked sausages, bacon and various other things. But the food from the fridges is a bit of a cheat. The BBQ chicken is more of a salad with a bit of BBQ chicken. There is a new pizza place. Unfortunately the pepperoni pizza for £14 is a pizza with a lot of cheese and a few slices of pepperoni. There is more pepperoni on the pizza from Aldi for £2. It is worth going for breakfast but the pizza is better to buy from a restaurant in the city centre.

Good choice of beverages, both cold and hot. There are also some snacks and ice cream available, unfortunately cakes are packed and processed rather than fresh. Didn't try any food, just stopped for hot drinks. Coffee was very average, hot chocolate more sugar shot made from powder. Quite pricy I would say... On the positive side, there are plenty of tables, both inside and outside. It's very cosy inside and there's very nice decor. The staff were absolutely friendly and helpful. And it's dog friendly place which is always a plus.

Very good. Had Pizzas. Bank holiday Monday in August, so probably one of the busiest days of the year. Yes there was a bit of a queue, yes a bit of a wait for the Pizza's but really not too bad. Girl behind the counter was really friendly and positive, pizza were great, and not bad value. Also had beer, so a beer sitting on the bench in the sun made the wait feel like nothing. Well done guys, we are in Wells quite often so we will be back.

We stopped after a long beach walk. Looking forward to the sausage rolls which we’d heard were great. They were and so was the pastie. The coffee not so, very very harsh we couldn’t drink it. Bit sad really as this came to £17!!!
