Great place to have a picnic. Loved our drive into Leavenworth, not much going on unless you need overpriced t shirts 😀. The picnic areas along the river are fabulous.

Wenatchee River is a nice river to visit and photograph. I like to listen to the sound of the water in river, Some places have a few good trails by the river. Along highway 2 are nice places to stop at to photograph the river.

Had to take my required break for my job. This was a great place to rest. With the sound of the river flowing by I quickly slipped into a deep sleep. Woke up 5 hours later deeply refreshed. Nothing like nature. One of the most beautiful drives in WA. P.S .drive careful especially the first 10-15 miles west out of Leavenworth. Lots of places to stop and walk down to the river. Just be careful if you cross the road . Enjoy.

The trip along Hwy 2 has too many places to stop off and hike, or day camp weekend camp.. Everything. Wenatchee winds for so many miles and has so many places to stop of for quick amaxing photos! These were taken after I had passed this spot that I spied in a turn out. After a hike we came back here, dropped down the embankment and hung out as the sun continued it's slow, beautiful sunset.
