WENDEY’S GUEST HOUSE

I spent six days at Weinday’s Guest House. The rooms are clean, with good ventilation and mosquito screens, allowing the coolness of the nights to afford a peaceful night’s sleep. Staff are friendly, attentive and helpful, and there were local juicy fruits for breakfast. It’s the best in the region.

The good about this hotel: Large, clean rooms. The bad: No Wi-Fi (though there is a password shown on the wall), no air conditioning (they have it, but January 2024, not running because fuel is being exported to Guinea), no towel, no wastebasket, no toilet paper, only cold water shower, asked to pay air conditioning room price for non AC room (we did work this out after 10 minutes and checking with the boss). Room started the night at 92F and cooled naturally to 85F. A fan was provided. The place has potential, and it is not their fault about the fuel issues. The kid who checked me in was polite, but seemed tired. The hotel is shown on the wrong place on the map. Nice and clean hotel , staff were very friendly and helpful . Will be back
