West Access Marina

Rented the kayaks for two hours and stayed in the large no wake area contained by a peninsula. Saw many storks and a pelican and some beautiful lollypads in bloom.

The boat worked but the customer service was one of the worst I’ve ever received. We arrived early to our appointment and saw what we thought would be our boat and went to look at it from a distance on the dock. The lady working immediately and very rudely told my brother and I to get off their dock. I told her we were the ones renting the boat and she didn’t seem to believe me or care. Once our entire party had been ushered onto THAT SAME boat, she very condescendingly gave us rushed, and unclear directions, gave us an UNFINISHED map of the lake, and gave us unclear directions how to enter and exit the marina. When we got confused, she got more condescending. Upon our return, she once again condescendingly rushed us off the boat so they could give it to the next customers. Absolutely the rudest people. The reviews commenting on good customer service I guarantee have been bought. Would not even consider tipping for their service. If you treat the people paying your bills this way, you need to get a different job.

This place was amazing. Staff was friendly and explained everything thoroughly. They included some humor in our experience with them which was very personable. Would recommend for boating rental!

We rented kayaks from here on a Sunday morning and were very pleased! Friendly and helpful staff, and they are located in an area where you can kayak in a no-wake area of the lake. Lifejackets are provided. They are just down from the dam and main swimming beach. Plenty of parking. Restroom on site. You can buy ice, drinks, sunglasses, hats etc at the marina. I think there is less than 10 kayaks and its first come first serve. No reservations. But if its busy when you get there, you can hang out at the beach for a while. We will be returning to kayak and try out the bikes! Dont forget to take the safety test and get your certificate prior to renting! We rented 3 single kayaks and one double. 3 adults and 2 kids went.

All the Employees are very knowledgeable and excellent in serving your Boating needs, rental slips, storage and boat maintenance. Just an overall excellent experience.

Love this spot. My husband took the kids and I out there to fish. No fish, but had fun anyway. Love being able to walk all the way out there!

Great marina for sailing around Carlyle! Good service and never have any issues. Been using West Access for many years.

We have been at West Access for a few years now, and we have found the owners and staff to be very helpful. If it's a question of sailing or things in th area.If you're thinking about a horror on Carlyle lake we strongly recommend that you consider West Access marina.

You do not want to get your boat power washed here! They damaged our brand new boat and would not own up to it. The owner is extremely rude and condescending. He wouldn't even acknowledge they could have done the damage. Even the dealer said that damage was done by a pressure washer. The owner laughed when we said we would leave a review. He said he wasn't worried because he has ways to get the bad reviews pulled down. He can also have his friends post good reviews to try and knock mine down.

We rented a boat for our family today. We requested that the owners of the business wear a mask when they were around our family and they refused, stating it was their right to not wear a mask. We were refused a boat rental due to our mask request. The worst part is one of the owners claims to be a nurse practitioner.

Wonderful place to rent a pontoon boat. Owners were very helpful and had us on the water at 8am. Great customer service, better prices than other marinas in the area. The boat was very clean, brand new and ran great!! Not a single problem with the boat or the service. I highly recommend this marina to anyone looking to rent a boat on the Carlisle lake. My family will defiantly use them again next year.

Owner just acts like she was doing us a favor renting to us. First they got the wrong rental date when we signed up. Did not want us to use our own Tube, even though it was far better than the ones they rented. She said," You better have a good rope." My son, in the Navy was 20 was not allowed to drive.They even expect you to listen to your cell phone in case they want to get a hold of you. It's in the contract you sign.
