The hotel has solid amenities, there’s a gym, pool, and a functional kitchen. The room was spacious and had everything needed for a comfortable short stay. It’s a good option if you’re looking for a place with complete facilities at a reasonable price. That said, cleanliness could be better. The room had a dusty smell, and the walls were visibly dusty, which took away from the overall comfort. Some finishes, like the cemented sinks in the kitchen and bathroom, felt a bit unfinished.Service was okay, staff were polite, though not welcoming. Check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 10:00 AM, which doesn’t give much flexibility.Overall, a decent stay with good amenities, but there’s room for improvement in cleanliness and service.

The quality is the same as a 3-star hotel, with the price of a motel. They pretty much have everything you need including the gym, swimming pool and sauna. Cannot really complain about anything, we stay in Family Suite, it's clean, tidy and has a delightful aroma. The room also has 2 Queen and 1 Single bed which are enough for 5 although I only booked for 4 people. The front desk is lovely, helpful and gracious. We left some of our tiny stuff in the room, but they are willing to ship back to us for free which is very nice and thoughtful of them! Will definitely come back if I ever visit Ucluelet again!

I had a very pleasant stay at the West Coast Motel. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with a warm and friendly welcome by the lovely receptionist, which set the tone for the rest of my visit. The room was small, but clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, offering everything I needed. A wonderful bonus was having access to the local sauna and pool, which added an extra touch of relaxation to my trip. Overall, it was a great experience and I would happily return.

Room was clean. Large fridge. Okay view of the boats in the harbor. Service was good, but insufficient staff to meet customer needs. The office door had to be locked when the only staff checked for a hair dryer. The bed was like a rock. The room was very hot, but we couldn't leave the windows open because they were waist level and along a walkway. The sofa was only a loveseat and was too low to the ground.

Their receptionist really sucks. We saw some one night bookings in August in the calendar. Not sure how that happened and the receptionist kept saying they don't take one night booking in summer. Because someone booked one night from the days we selected ,we couldn't make a reservation for the days we wanted. Last year the different receptionist from their sister hotel whale's tail helped me to move this kind of one night booking to different room so that we could book 4 nights. I requested if this one night booking could be moved to different room. She told me they actually booked for 2 nights stay. Well, really? It didn't show in the calendar at all. If that's the case, why not move this booking from classic kitchen to Deluxe kitchen which have 2 nights available and fit perfectly? I don't think this family would complaint on even better room. Just give them free upgrade to move them. Then we can have multiple nights booking at classic kitchen although It's not ideal room for us. Their receptionist just said she was not granted any right to do so.

So far this motel has been great with extras we didn’t expect such as a laundry machine right next to our unit. Extremely clean and quiet as well as a very well put together space. 10/10

Rooms were okay. Location was good, it’s a small town so everything is close to each other. Only problem I had was the receptionist, always seemed occupied with whatever was going on in personal life. Was always on personal phone looking distressed and distracted to her surroundings. Seen yelling outside and stomping her feet. At first I thought it was just a bad week or something for her. Had to go ask a question about a restaurant but had 6 other people waiting because she had the be right back sign, waited for 20 mins so I asked someone who looked like a local using the gym (thank you to that person) I don’t know how long the others waited for the distressed younger receptionist girl but it kinda sounded like by the local this was a repeated thing that just happens with this said receptionist….i honestly hope it was just a bad week not something that happen almost daily.

We had a good room facing marina. Nothing spectacular but it was clean, check in person was kind , reasonable rate for the evening as we were visiting this area. If I had family with me this room would certainly be one to have. Lots of space with a kitchenette

Yelp
A wonderful family run establishment that treats you as one of their own!! The pool is nice, but small. Rooms are comfy and they provide a gas grill (no cost) for cooking all of your local catch or a warm summer night! Rates are reasonable and there are plenty of great hiking trails and shops nearby.

Yelp
This is a family-owned hotel in a really stunning town on Vancouver Island. They have an indoor pool, which was great since we visited in April and otherwise it would have been too cool to swim. The rooms are large and comfortable and have kitchens and sofabeds, so they're good for families. The owners are friendly and helpful, and the rates are very reasonable.
