Yelp
We saw this place advertised on Facebook and thought we'd check it out for lunch. It looks like it was bought by new owners in 2019 but still goes by both the old name and the new one, depending on where you look. There is no West Coast Smoke and Taproom on Yelp but there are recent reviews at the same address for West Coast BBQ and Brew.
The hostess/server could not have been more helpful, friendly and kind. She was right on the ball with drinks and checking up on us. I would return just for her excellent service.
The food was good. My hubs had a patty melt with juicy meat, soft sweet onions and perfectly grilled marbled rye. The meat did not have a smoky or chargrilled taste, but it was still really good. It did not come with any sides, although there are fries, rings, tots, all available for an ala cart price.

We ordered nachos with grilled chicken as an appetizer, and again, they were good, but it did not taste like smokey or bbq'd chicken. Nice crunchy fresh tortilla chips and lots of guacamole and toppings, but $19 because we added chicken. We don't normally eat in a bar environment so maybe food is just more expensive? And maybe this is what 'bar food' is?
I had a half sandwich and soup. The sandwich options were tuna or cashew chicken, and I had the latter. It was fine, but nothing special. The celery and cashews were crunchy and fresh, but it was just a huge stack of mixed greens and a small scoop of chicken salad on wheat bread. A decent sandwich made in your aunt's kitchen, but not restaurant worthy. The soup was meatball and vegetable, and tasted fresh.
Overall, we will go back again and maybe try the brisket, since it does have the names Smoke and BBQ in their titles. I can't speak for the beer selections, so maybe the taproom's claim to fame is their beer. But again, the service was wonderful the lunch food was good but expensive, and the taphouse overall is worth another try.
