West Coast Visitor Information Centre

One of the best, if not the best visitors centres in Australia where I have been. I had a pleasure to chat and get advice and bookings for trip with Bron. Excellent experience. Highly recommend it as the first stop when you arrive in that area. Thank you!

This is an impressive information center. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and clearly passionate about their part of the world. There were lots of information to be gained and some really cool souvenirs there to purchase as well. They also do a great theatre production. If you are in the area and looking for information thus us the place to go.

Fantastic information centre. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and were happy to share their actual experiences. Please go to their rainforest museum - $3 pax. It is extraordinary with a unique insight, amazing balanced and interesting content and very carefully curated. Absolutely loved it - learned so much and had plenty to think about. I wish there was a book on it - even just photos of the pieces and the blurb. Don’t miss it!

You have to go to the information centre to get a token to use the showers. They are hardly ever open

I want to say a big thank you to Bron from Strahan information center for making our bookings to several accommodations and tours on the West Coast. She was so helpful on the phone. And when we met, she was so nice and even more helpful than any other person on our trip. Strahan is a must for anyone going to Tasmania I recommend the place and the service. We will be back.

Lot's of literature, brochures, souvenirs and flyers. Very well trained, friendly, helpful staff who have a lot of local knowledge of the area. They handle different bookings.

West Coast Wilderness Railway. Half day return at Strahan. Really interesting. Going out on a wet and chilly day allowed us to appreciate the hardships the rail road workers coped with.
