West Coast Wilderness Lodge

This place was spectacular! The owner took the time to show us the restaurant and the views they had. The room had an amazing view do the ocean and islands! Can’t wait to visit in summer!

We stayed at the new Villas at the Inlet, which is part of West Coast Wilderness Lodge. Since the villas are new, I believe our rental price was affordable. We had a gorgeous one-bedroom condo with an absolutely gorgeous view of the inlet and mountains. Beds were very comfortable, including the sleeper sofa. The kitchen had all the needed amenities. The bathroom was luxurious with a huge shower. Wifi worked well. Our dog really enjoyed staying there with us. It was an outstanding experience. I just worry that they will soon price these accommodations out of the range of an average ;middle-class family. We did not go over to the West Coast Wilderness lodge because the prices at the restaurant there are exorbitant. We also did not make use of the adventure center down the hill, as the prices for rentals and experiences were expensive. However, our experience staying at the Villas was wonderful!

Dining review only: A great dining experience with a high quality northwest menu and a stunning view. Everything on the 4 course menu looked amazing, and each plate in the presentation was set to impress. A quick 7 min walk from the Back Eddy Marina. Reservations are suggested, even late season.

Can’t say enough good things about our wonderful family vacation here. We stayed in the newly opened villas which was absolutely perfect for our family. The villas were clean, spacious, well stocked with all necessary items, and had the most breath taking views. We spent most of our week on the deck because we just didn’t want to leave our gorgeous view. What really stood out to us throughout our trip was how friendly and accommodating every single staff member we encountered was. Lucas the manager was super responsive and helpful in ensuring we were able to book the room we wanted. All of the front desk staff and restaurant staff were amazing. We would absolutely love to come back again. Thank you!

I didn’t stay as a guest here but you can still dine at the West Coast Wilderness Lodge & enjoy activities at Egmont Adventure Centre! We can’t stop raving about our experience! If only there were more stars. My mind was blown away today, A five star review will never do our experience justice. Everything in BC is beautiful, but Egmont took the cake. Truly the most amazing travel in BC I have ever done. Just a quick 40 min ferry ride from Vancouver and just over an hour drive and you get to the most magical and awe inspiring place in BC. It’s perfect for a unique day trip away from the city.If I could give this trip 100 stars, I absolutely would!! This was hands down the BEST experience in BC that I’ve ever had in my entire life. We were met with the highest level of hospitality. A huge shout-out goes to Lucas and Courtney for their exceptional care and attention…they really elevated the experience to the next level. Getting to see Egmont on the water up close was truly spectacular. These guys run an A+ operation! The staff are all legends and make sure to give you a great experience. You can really tell—they care about every detail and make sure you have the best experience possible. We knew this trip would be amazing, but everything surpassed our expectations! They did everything to make our day special and they succeeded in a big way. I don't know how to thank them for everything they did for us. Unforgettable experience that I will carry in my heart forever. We all had the best times of our lives. Jet skis were top class! We took out the Boss’s Jet Ski and went 96km/hr! We explored some jaw-dropping spots around Hotham Sound like Freil Falls! The location is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views and pristine waters. It was an exhilarating experience! Such a thrill! We zipped across the waters! Definitely calling you again next time I’m in Egmont to ride the best Jet Skies on the market !! We also enjoyed brunch at the West Coast Wilderness Lodge! The fried chicken and French toast was an iconic duo. The French toast was super fluffy and oh so buttery, and when combined with the crispy and juicy fried chicken, it was seriously a match made in heaven! Creamy avocado, golden toast, and a perfectly poached egg-this was the avocado toast! The avocado toast was smashed to perfection, and layered with flavour. Brunch doesn’t get better than this! Their mocktails were refreshing vibes in every sip! We also participated in the Date Night experience which included a fine dining dinner in The Lodge. The beet carpaccio brings flavour, colour and texture in perfect harmony! I indulged in the exquisite flavour of the sockeye salmon! It boasts a delicate balance of tenderness and rich flavours that melt in your mouth! The beef tenderloin was seared to perfection with a juicy, flavourful interior. It was paired with the creamiest mashed potatoes and perfectly cooked vegetables for that perfect flavour finish. The chocolate lava cake was perfect for satisfying my sweet tooth. We also took the sunset boat tour. This sunset tour was the icing on the cake for our trip to Egmont! So picturesque! The scenery is absolutely breathtaking. The view of the sunset from the boat is simply stunning. The scenic view is well worth the experience. You will experience a sunset you will never forget. An hour of absolute bliss. I felt like james bonds the way these winds caressed my hair. It was a perfect mix of thrill and breathtaking scenery! The whole day felt like a movie and like nothing I’ve ever seen in real life before. We’ll remember this day forever. We were expecting a good time, but our experience went way beyond that. I don’t know how to speak higher of the West Coast Wilderness Lodge. These folks are a class act. The staff members (Lucas and Courtney) were out of this world kind, helpful and courteous. Thank you to the entire staff for making this such an unforgettable experience—I’ll be talking about this trip for the rest of my life!

We enjoyed a two night stay in the new condos of the resort. It was nothing short of spectacular. The view takes your breath away and the accommodations are first class. The fine dining is not to be found in Vancouver Island and the staff were on their game. You will not be disappointed.

10/10 experience this past week at the West Coast Wilderness Lodge! My partner and I stayed in the new “villas” and our room was incredible with an even better view from the top floor. Luke and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience while making our time there as enjoyable as possible. I would definitely recommend checking out the Adventure Centre which is part of the lodge- there is a selection of newer high end Seadoos that you can rent and go explore the ocean with- definitely a thrill. If you are considering a get away on the Sunshine Coast don’t sleep on this place!

We stayed at the West Coast Wilderness Lodge for 3 days and two nights. We had a wonderful time. We were in cabin 603, with a very beautiful view of the ocean. In fact, it was quite spectacular. The staff at this hotel are extremely friendly and go out of their way to make you happy. We had wonderful meals, with wonderful servers. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. I can't recommend the West Coast Wilderness Lodge strongly enough. We live full-time in Garden Bay, so this was an excellent staycation!

Just in from a lovely brunch here. You can not beat the view. Spectacular. The brunch menu is small but should be something for everyone. The four of us all enjoyed our meals. Special mention for the burrata toast - delicious. Prices reasonable. Would recommend

I purchased a voucher for a 2 night stay and a zodiak tour a few years ago and found it recently. I contacted the hotel to ask about redeeming it and if there's anything they could do. They replied and said it had expired and that's it, nothing else they could do. I replied stating that in BC, vouchers & gift cards cannot expire, I sent them the relevant sections of the BC Consumer Act, and asked again if there's anything they could do to help. They replied and said it was expired and nothing they could do about it. I had thought they would credit the amount paid towards a stay, or helped in any way, but they didn't. They ignored several other emails, including emails requesting the legal owner, and the address for filing of a claim. The only recourse I've had to do now is lodge complaints with the Consumer Protection BC, and file a law suit to recover the amount I paid. I'm out from a voucher that was worth $500. 0/5 - Would not recommend.

We had been the the Inlet restaurant before and it was truly wonderful and well worth the price so we decided that we would go there again on our way to Princess Louisa as we came by boat. We were seated and given a menu showing a four course dinner with no prices. We asked if this was the only option we were told that we could order off the menu and didn't have to do the four course option. Same menu no prices. We ordered an appetizer to share and asked if it was big enough to share and told that it was. We ordered a caprese salad as before as well as rack of lamb and beef tenderloin. We have attached pictures from our time before as well as pictures from our recent visit. The caprese salad came first and was $25. It is the smallest salad I have ever seen. Next came the entrees. The time before there were 3 lamb chops this time two. The time before there was a big tenderloin this time it was slices and way overcooked. We had wine by the glass and it was ok. To say we were disappointed it putting it mildly. Not sure we will return again unless their quantity and quality improve significantly. Their prices definitely went way up! We have included pictures and it is evident the difference between the two visits.

I booked a Play and dine for lunch on Aug. 26th for three of us from Vancouver. I also called the restaurant to confirm that there was room for us for lunch that day. I was told that it wasn't a problem and that as long as we were there before 2pm we were fine. After driving more than 3 hours to get there, we were told that the restaurant was closed for a wedding! Why did they book us for that day at all? No apology, no nothing. They suggested we eat down the street even though the wedding hadn't started yet and nothing was even set up for it. They even went so far as to say "There's nothing we can do". We had pre-paid for the lunch which was part of the package. So much for hospitality. They did absolutely nothing to try to resolve the problem and/or to get us back there again to make up for their huge error in booking reservations for that day at all. Terrible, terrible customer service.
