We stayed at the West Coast Wilderness Lodge for 3 days and two nights. We had a wonderful time. We were in cabin 603, with a very beautiful view of the ocean. In fact, it was quite spectacular. The staff at this hotel are extremely friendly and go out of their way to make you happy. We had wonderful meals, with wonderful servers. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. I can't recommend the West Coast Wilderness Lodge strongly enough. We live full-time in Garden Bay, so this was an excellent staycation!

We loved the accommodation. Everything was clean and smelled fresh. We booked this place because it’s pet-friendly, which we really appreciate. But it was confusing and frustrating that the restaurant patio isn’t pet-friendly. Almost every patio in downtown Vancouver allows dogs, and so does this accommodation, so it didn’t make sense that the patio doesn’t. What are people with dogs supposed to do? I didn’t feel comfortable leaving my dog alone in a new place, so she had to wait in the car while we ate. The food at the restaurant was good, though.

So peaceful, I didn’t want to leave Stayed at West Coast Wilderness Lodge and honestly, it was exactly what I needed. The whole place has such calm, grounding energy. Nature all around, quiet mornings, and beautiful views everywhere you look. The food was so good (like, unexpectedly good), and I felt really taken care of the whole time. Everything just felt easy and warm. Would definitely go back when I need to reset.

We were the 2024 winners of the Signature Package Instagram contest and we enjoyed and appreciated our 2 night stay IMMENSELY. What an experience!! Here is a long overdue, official review. We were greeted with a cocktail and enjoyed it on the beautiful deck (I can't imagine how stunning it would be when the wisteria blooms!), which was such a great start to our getaway! The views were breathtaking and unforgettable - panoramic, tranquil, and magical! The staff were hospitable, genuine, and welcoming and the restaurant staff were knowledgeable. Our room boasted stunning views and we spent many hours sipping coffee and wine on the deck enjoy the sites of the smell of the ocean, and the sound of the birds.. The room was spotless, the bed was comfy, the tub was appreciated and the serenity was exactly what we needed. A rainbow on our first evening was the icing on the cake!! The food was next level and we enjoyed every bit immensely. Dining at inlets is an experience in itself. Again, the restaurant has stunning views and a great ambiance. We enjoyed the coziness of sitting inside for breakfast, as well as dining on the deck - I would recommend both! Fresh, West-coast inspired dishes that were plated beautifully with an attention to detail we appreciate. Everything was so flavourful! We had a hard time deciding what to eat - everything we tasted was a 10/10, truly! What stands out all these months later is the chowder, seafood linguine, scallops, and I think tartar and carpaccio (we love seafood and it's done well here). The menu is smaller, but it changes so if you are here for a while there will be new things to try. The cocktails were delicious and varied, and the wine list was excellent. We also highly recommend the boat tour with the Egmont Adventure Centre to Princess Louisa Inlet and the majestic Chatterbox falls. You get outfitted in warm suits and a little charcuterie lunch was included during the stop at the stunning chatterbox falls. These are some of the BEST views in BC and relatively untouched! We were treated to a float plane ride back, which was so fun (and would have been worth the splurge) although the zodiac boat ride on the way in was also exhilarating and informative. If you cannot manage to stay at the WCWL overnight, a visit for a meal here on the way to a ferry or a day trip is completely worth the drive! You will not regret the views! This giveaway getaway was adventurous, relaxing, luxurious, and fulfilling and we can only hope to come back one day. We heartily recommend the WCWL! Thank you so much!!

West Coast Wilderness Lodge is a truly magical destination for anyone looking to recharge in nature’s beauty while still enjoying all the comforts of a luxurious getaway. Nestled on a cliff with panoramic views of the Pacific and fjords, the lodge offers a serene escape where every detail has been thoughtfully crafted for relaxation and connection with the environment. The accommodations were fantastic—each cottage beautifully appointed, cozy, and inviting, with modern touches that blend perfectly with the rustic surroundings. From the luxurious shower to the private patio overlooking the forest and inlet, every aspect of the space invited calm and relaxation. I loved waking up to the sounds of nature and taking in the morning light from my patio—a perfect start to each day. The food at the Inlet Restaurant was absolutely delicious! Each meal was prepared with care, using fresh local ingredients, and the dining experience only got better as the ambiance perfectly complemented the stunning views of the inlet. One evening, there was a power outage, and the team didn’t miss a beat—candle-lit tables created a cozy, unforgettable experience that felt incredibly special. Throughout my stay, the activities offered, from kayaking tours to forest bathing, provided an opportunity to truly immerse myself in the surrounding natural beauty. The lodge staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive, always ready to make sure every moment was perfect. I left feeling completely recharged and inspired. If you’re looking for a unique retreat with exceptional service, breathtaking scenery, and a deep connection to nature, West Coast Wilderness Lodge is the place to go.

We got married at the lodge on a weekday this summer (3 nights elopement package) with 9 guests with us and overall we had an amazing experience. Leading up to the event, I was in communication with Madeleine who is the event coordinator and Randi at reception for more general inquiries. Responses via email were a bit slow at times but I guess my questions weren’t that urgent and in the end, they were very accommodating of all requests. As everyone says, the lodge itself is beautiful and the views are WOW. Rooms were nice, especially ours (Ocean view suite) that felt very romantic. On the wedding day, things went very smoothly to say the least. There was a risk of rain and Madeleine had different options for us as we were having an outdoor ceremony. We had brought some decoration for the arch and Madeleine dealt with it so it was very worry-free for us. I had sent specific requests for the bouquet I wanted (included in the package) and the result was really pretty and up to expectations as well as the boutonniere. The weather cleared out and we got married on the main deck which has probably one of the most beautiful backgrounds you can get for a wedding ceremony. When it was over, the staff was ready with glasses of champagne for everyone. My husband and I left with the photographer while our guests enjoyed cocktails on the deck. Lots of great spots around for photos. The wedding dinner table was beautifully decorated, on a covered private deck with beautiful views, it felt magical. Everybody enjoyed the food and wine, and service was on point. On the following days my husband and I enjoyed a sunset kayaking tour and jetski (all included in the package) and it was perfect, we had such a great time. Overall we were very happy with our experience at the lodge, the whole staff took good care of us and made us feel special on such an important day. It was an expensive journey for sure but we felt it was worth it. There are many wedding happening at the lodge and you can tell, they know what they are doing. They also work regularly with the same vendors (Hair&make up, photographer...) so everything runs very smoothly. A couple of things regarding the tips though : 1) Even if you take a room package with meals included, you are expected to pay a tip on top of it. After the first breakfast, our guests were brought the bill and asked for a tip even though we wanted to pay for everything for them. We weren’t there (breakfast in our bedroom) but apparently it was quite an awkward moment for them. 2) When my husband and I had breakfast/dinner together the day after our wedding, we were asked for a tip as well, even though we had already paid 18% gratuity on our elopement package (that includes breakfast and dinner). We brought this up with our waitress, but she didn’t seem to be aware of this side of things. We paid the tips. At the time of check out we discussed this with Madeleine and it was deducted from our final bill but we felt this could have been handled better, by making the waiting staff aware of this aspect.

I had the pleasure of attending a business retreat at the West Coast Wilderness Lodge in September 2024, and I was truly blown away. The breathtaking views of the surrounding wilderness instantly set the tone for a peaceful and rejuvenating experience. The lodge itself was welcoming and warm, with rooms that were both comfortable and impeccably clean. The cozy beds made it easy to settle in, and I found myself wishing I could have stayed longer to enjoy the serene atmosphere. The staff at the lodge were incredibly attentive and kind, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. One highlight of the trip was a guided kayak excursion around the nearby islands, led by one of the lodge's knowledgeable team members. Paddling through the untouched beauty of the area was a peaceful and awe-inspiring experience. Whether you're looking to relax, reconnect with nature, or recharge, West Coast Wilderness Lodge is a perfect escape. I left feeling refreshed, with a deep appreciation for the tranquil, natural beauty and the thoughtful service that made my stay so memorable. I can’t wait to return with my family.

The Lodge is tired. We stayed in a suite and it was comfortable. Amenities are few. Our shower was missing the shower head, the fridge was not working, the coffee maker was unusable and the room was not clean. The staff were very nice and customer service was good. Views were outstanding. Food was excellent although it was disappointing to discover that the daily meals were priced exhorbitantly and the expected gratuities were based on this cost. This was unexpected so be forewarned. If your priorities are spectacular natural surroundings and great food, then this would be a good choice for you.

Yelp
Just in from a lovely brunch here. You can not beat the view. Spectacular. The brunch menu is small but should be something for everyone. The four of us all enjoyed our meals. Special mention for the burrata toast - delicious. Prices reasonable. Would recommend

Yelp
I purchased a voucher for a 2 night stay and a zodiak tour a few years ago and found it recently. I contacted the hotel to ask about redeeming it and if there's anything they could do. They replied and said it had expired and that's it, nothing else they could do. I replied stating that in BC, vouchers & gift cards cannot expire, I sent them the relevant sections of the BC Consumer Act, and asked again if there's anything they could do to help. They replied and said it was expired and nothing they could do about it. I had thought they would credit the amount paid towards a stay, or helped in any way, but they didn't. They ignored several other emails, including emails requesting the legal owner, and the address for filing of a claim. The only recourse I've had to do now is lodge complaints with the Consumer Protection BC, and file a law suit to recover the amount I paid. I'm out from a voucher that was worth $500. 0/5 - Would not recommend.

Yelp
We had been the the Inlet restaurant before and it was truly wonderful and well worth the price so we decided that we would go there again on our way to Princess Louisa as we came by boat. We were seated and given a menu showing a four course dinner with no prices. We asked if this was the only option we were told that we could order off the menu and didn't have to do the four course option. Same menu no prices. We ordered an appetizer to share and asked if it was big enough to share and told that it was. We ordered a caprese salad as before as well as rack of lamb and beef tenderloin. We have attached pictures from our time before as well as pictures from our recent visit. The caprese salad came first and was $25. It is the smallest salad I have ever seen. Next came the entrees. The time before there were 3 lamb chops this time two. The time before there was a big tenderloin this time it was slices and way overcooked. We had wine by the glass and it was ok. To say we were disappointed it putting it mildly. Not sure we will return again unless their quantity and quality improve significantly. Their prices definitely went way up! We have included pictures and it is evident the difference between the two visits.

Yelp
I booked a Play and dine for lunch on Aug. 26th for three of us from Vancouver. I also called the restaurant to confirm that there was room for us for lunch that day. I was told that it wasn't a problem and that as long as we were there before 2pm we were fine. After driving more than 3 hours to get there, we were told that the restaurant was closed for a wedding! Why did they book us for that day at all? No apology, no nothing. They suggested we eat down the street even though the wedding hadn't started yet and nothing was even set up for it. They even went so far as to say "There's nothing we can do". We had pre-paid for the lunch which was part of the package. So much for hospitality. They did absolutely nothing to try to resolve the problem and/or to get us back there again to make up for their huge error in booking reservations for that day at all. Terrible, terrible customer service.
