my father made a reservation here and unfortunately and unexpectedly passed away before he was able to complete his stay - the team here was incredibly accommodating as we had to change his reservation, which they certainly did not have to as we were asking for them to go against their policies. we could not be more appreciative of them, especially during this tough time for my family.

West Lane Inn is a beautiful property. The welcoming, professional staff and well appointed rooms made a memorable stay. The attention to detail is found throughout the inn, which is located in charming Ridgefield.

Such a beautiful, warm and stately B&B! My husband and I had a wonderful weekend stay here. The staff are so friendly, especially Christine, one of the co-owners. The decor and detailed finishes of the inn are lovely and rooms are beautifully updated and pristine. The breakfast is DELICIOUS! Just a 2-3 min drive from Main St in Ridgefield.

Seniors beware - no elevator. I got room on the 3’rd floor Asked the front desk if there are rooms on 1’st floor and yes there are. Can I switch - oh no, rooms are reserved. uh huh Think this wonderful place is overpriced

We recently spent two days in Ridgefield CT at West Lane Inn. What a delightful experience! The Inn is so quaint. Our room was delightful. A lovely large closet to store our suitcases and clothes. A small refrigerator thoughtfully stocked with a mini bar and water. A well appointed bathroom with everything you may need. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. The breakfast was filling and the fresh baked cookies at the coffee station were a nice touch. We enjoyed a show at the ACT (Jersey Boys), dining at some of the awesome restaurants in the area and wandering around looking at the stores. If you are going to Connecticut, I highly recommend staying at the Inn, there are so many thoughtful touches to make your stay comfortable and relaxing.

This historical Inn was warm, and made you feel at home. Perfect time of year to visit, the town was decorated for Halloween. The rooms are spacious and very decorative. The staff was very accommodating. The breakfast was made to order. Already looking at dates to return in the spring. Highly recommend.. Kathleen K

Wow—what an absolute gem in Ridgefield, CT! This inn exceeded all expectations in every possible way. The attention to detail is remarkable—from the soft, ambient lighting to the beautifully designed bathrooms, every aspect feels thoughtfully curated. The cleanliness and location are top-notch, making it the perfect retreat in Fairfield County. The owners have truly considered every detail to enhance your stay. Little touches, like motion-activated lights in the hallway, convenient water and coffee stations, and the seamless blend of old-world charm with modern decor, create a tranquil and welcoming atmosphere. It’s the perfect balance of comfort and style, offering a restful escape that feels both luxurious and homey. I can’t recommend this inn highly enough. It’s an oasis of relaxation, and I’m already looking forward to my next stay!

Picturesque and perfect! We came in to visit family and LOVE this place. Clean, updated, kind staff. Walkable in to town, sweet little breakfast, 24 hour self-serve coffee bar and plush, large towels. (The last thing makes a difference!). I cannot wait to go back!

Yelp
This Inn is so special! Beautifully renovated while preserving the historical integrity of the property, new bathrooms with bidets, comfortable bed and quiet are key advantages when you stay here. They serve breakfast from 8-10:30 everyday, it is included. Coffee available all day. The staff and owners are amazing. I felt welcome and comfortable.

Yelp
What a wonderful setting for breakfast on the front porch on Mothers Day with all family, kids and grandchildren. The weather was perfect, the lawn so inviting for kids to run around and the setting delightful. The breakfast was elegant offering omelettes, berries, pancakes and traditional sides all presented with grace and sophistication, yet relaxed and breezy.

Yelp
We spent two nights here with our families for our wedding weekend, and it was the most magical and special weekend we could've imagined, thanks to Christine & Danille's hospitality and meticulous organization. They helped us organize rooms for each family member based on their needs and went above and beyond to accommodate the families with toddlers and babies with anything they needed. They also created the perfect goodbye breakfast for us on Sunday so that others who weren't at the inn could drop by. 0 The inn is charming inside and out. It's located in an old new England home, but completely renovated on the inside. The bedrooms each have a unique theme and everything is sparkling clean. But it's not just the bedrooms that are perfectly clean. Every corner of the inn is clean and immaculate and gorgeous. The best part was the front porch and the tables, which created the ideal space for us all of us to be together. We also loved that it was steps away from our wedding venue, Keeler Tavern Museum. There are just endless things I could write about how great this place is. We'll never forget this amazing weekend that Christine and Danille helped make a reality. We're already excited to think of returning for a future anniversary.

Yelp
For anyone who would like a peaceful getaway, you need to book a night at the West Lane Inn in Ridgefield, Ct. It looks like one of those quaint old fashion inns that you would see in a Hallmark movie. The new owners have done an incredible job renovating the rooms while maintaining their historic small town charm. Each room has a personality of its own. I make it a point to stay at the Inn whenever I visit my friends in Ridgefield. In the lobby they provide snacks and wine glasses so guests can enjoy beverages while mingling on the quaint porch overlooking the beautiful grounds. One of my favorite experiences is the complimentary breakfast served in the breakfast room or on the porch. Guests are always greeted by one of the friendly owners who clearly love what they do. It truly is a magical experience and worth the trip!

Yelp
My son and I stayed here for one evening as a stop prior to heading home to NH from VA. I grew up in Ridgefield and used to frequent the dining building with my mom years ago for Mother's day. I had read about the new ownership and wanted to check it out, and I really didn't want to stay in Danbury since I wanted to dine at the Mariner! Well, this place is so nice! It's so clean and so comfortable to sleep. I slept from 9pm-8am, it was great! The owners and employees are so nice and just real people. The homemade breakfast was delicous! What really impressed me was the stocked fridge in the room having my favorite wine in there-Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio, what hotel would ever do that?? They also have a ton of snacks and other fun beverages in the room for purchase. I will definetly be back! Thank you for making our visit so comfortable!!

Yelp
Absolutely adore this Inn! It's walkable to historic downtown Ridgefield, next-door to Bernard's and Sarah's Wine Bar, and they have the best scones! Love that it's owned by women and is a fixture in the landscape of Ridgefield.

Yelp
Christine and Danille have created a warm and welcoming home away from home. Each morning you are greeted with a smile, and how was your evening. Followed by a great breakfast on the porch. The rooms are spacious and very well done. The location is perfect for a leisurely walk into Ridgefield. My wife said it best, unlike a hotel, staying here you become vested in the place and the truly nice staff that they have working there. Can't wait to get back !

Yelp
We loved everything about this charming Inn! The owners are delightful, the decor is beautiful and every detail was taken care of for our comfort. So realxing!

Yelp
We had a room block here for our wedding last weekend and everything about the West Lane Inn was absolutely perfect. It felt like we were living in a beautiful, historic yet renovated house for the weekend. Christine & Danille were exceptional - couldn't have been more accommodating or kinder to us and our guests, and were just absolute sweethearts. The rooms were absolutely gorgeous, too. We will definitely be back for future anniversaries!

Yelp
The ladies that now run the place are very sweet and accommodating. This was a night out from NYC to burbs. Love the redesigned rooms, location to downtown and general Easy living. Would recommend!

Yelp
Absolute gem!! We had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful inn this past weekend. We selected this inn purely for location as we were visiting from out of state in order to purchase a home in town. Driving up to the inn it looked like something out of a Hallmark movie. The lobby was warm, inviting, and beautifully decorated for the holidays. There was sanitizer and masks available in order to follow Covid guidelines. And the gourmet individually packaged snacks and bottled water were especially appreciated after a long drive. We were traveling with our two young children so we booked a double room. The spacious room was newly renovated and included seating and beautiful private marble bathroom. We took advantage of the complimentary breakfast which was delicious and was even enjoyed by the pickiest eater. Innkeeper Christine ensured we were prepared for the day and gave great recommendations on where to shop in town as well as some history on the town. Overall a wonderful experience and we can't wait to visit again!!

Yelp
The perfect spot for safety and refreshment during a pandemic. This traditional country inn in one of Connecticut's most delightful country towns, has adapted to today's circumstances with deep cleaning and reliable safety procedures. None of the charm is lost. From the broad front porch, big enough for twenty tables and rooofed to protect from sun and rain, we enjoy breakfast in a tranquil setting amid mature trees. The inn is right around the corner from Ridgefield's famously charming Main Street, and a short walk from most of the town's array of restaurants, many of which offer outdoor seating. We stayed in a lovely room with three bright windows on the bay front. The owner is friendly and solicitous. What a great find!

Yelp
Were it not for the rude attitude and inhospitable treatment of me and my family by the inn keeper, I would have given our stay a glowing 4-5 star review for clean and convenient accommodations. However the unfriendly owner we encountered made us feel downright unwelcome at every turn - from check in to breakfast to sitting in the lobby. I would still recommend this Inn for anyone looking for accommodations in Ridgefield, especially since there are so few options available, but wish it were run by someone who felt more compelled to make their guests feel welcome during their stay.

Yelp
My husband and I just had our wedding weekend at the West Lane Inn. Not only did all of our out of town guests stay at the Inn, we also had our rehearsal dinner on their beautiful lawn and porch. I can honestly say that our experience at the Inn was exceptional. The owners, Christine and Danille, were instrumental in making our friends and family feel welcome and giving them the quintessential New England experience that only their Inn and Ridgefield could bring.

Yelp
This is a lovely property, and we enjoyed it immensely during an unseasonably warm November weekend. Their fabulous breakfast was served on the front porch, and the new proprietor and staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. In spite of Covid precautions there was a collegial atmosphere among the guests, and we spoke to many others who were also enjoying their weekend stay. We will definitely be back to stay, though have more recently enjoyed their outdoor skating rink and fire pit! It also happens to be next door to a fabulous restaurant, which offered outdoor dining in their lovely garden.

Yelp
The inn is under new management as of the end of 2019 and they couldn't be nicer and more accommodating. Just really nice people, not intrusive, but always there when you need them. Both the common and private rooms were charming, clean, bright and comfortable and you really can't beat the location. The cook-to-order breakfast was also delicious.

Yelp
Great Inn (More like a B&B then Hotel) - We loved the quaintness of West Lane Inn! Stayed in the Fire Place Room (highly recommended especially on cold winter nights). Next to Bernard's which is the town's best top rated restaurant! Owner & all the staff were very welcoming. Park your car, leave it & easy walk to downtown Ridgefield & The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, Keeler Tavern & the Historical Society!

Yelp
My fiancé and I had made reservations weeks earlier to travel down from the Boston area to Ridgefield for some family business and to stay at the Inn while in the area. Two days prior to our arrival date and with a major winter storm now forecasted for our weekend and travel period, Inn keeper Debbie reached out to us regarding our travel status. She graciously allowed us the option to cancel our reservations at no penalty. We appreciate Debbie's thoughtful gesture and professionalism and we look forward to rescheduling with her in the near future.

Yelp
This is a lovely period inn - not chic/modern - but perfect for the Christmas accommodation we were seeking. The owner was pleasantly professional, not aloof as indicated in other reviews. The standard breakfast was perfect for our needs, particularly after holiday fare elsewhere. Our room on the second floor was spacious, the bathroom recently totally renovated and well designed. Other floors are being renovated in turn.

Maryanne N.

Yelp
Not typical country Inn experience. The location is perfect but the person who handles checking in and checking out was very cold. We have been to numerous Inns, hotels, Spas, etc. and have never experienced such aloof behavior. The dining room staff were very sweet and friendly. The room we were in was very dark as was the entry way because of the wallpaper and could use some updating.

Yelp
We were going to a concert at the Ridgefield Playhouse and decided to stay overnight at the West Lane Inn. It was wonderful. Located in a nice town atmosphere, beautiful building and very close to the playhouse. Our room was very clean and cozy. Good sized room with nice furnishings and comfortable bed. large closet. Nice complimentary continental breakfast in the morning. Staff was very friendly and helpful. we truly enjoyed our stay.

Yelp
This Inn is set in the beautiful lush green country of Connecticut. It is a quite impressive new england style home. Stayed for a couple of nights. It is adaquate. What it is lacking is a cheerfulness, a warmth, a generous feeling. The owners are not warm or welcoming, or generous, like you'd expect from a country inn. They are rather unfriendly and cold. The foyer is rather drab, and run down, it is all dark green, could all use an infusion of cheerfulness. The breakfast is a joke-costco style blueberry muffins with your coffee or tea and o.j, everything else is extra . (eggs, toast, etc...) I have been to country inns where the owners are so warm and welcoming and the breakfast is a delicious homemade spread of yummy tastes, this Inn is NOT.

Yelp
From arrival to departure horrible experience. When we called ahead we asked for a quiet room as we were exhausted, and we were told we had choice of two rooms (1st floor vs. 2nd floor) with the 2nd floor recommended. Upon arrival found that roof work was being done (on a Saturday no less) and the 2nd floor room was unbearable. (I'm not even going to go into the hideous and loud wallpaper that was everywhere... including the light switches!). First floor room was slightly better (not the wallpaper) but could still hear the roof work and drilling. Needless to say, we were not able to nap. Now the room doors - two doors, one opened easily but blocked the hallway; the second (into the room) was difficult to push open and nearly impossible if you had luggage). The room itself was hot - we opened the windows finally but then the noise of the next door restaurant diners made sleeping difficult. Now the staff. The woman who checked us in was pleasant enough (however misguided on the noise levels, and forgetful about the ongoing roof work). However, the Sunday person was incredibly snooty. I was dressed in shorts and a nice tshirt - clean but casual - which I think contributed to her attitude. She would be smiles and kindness to other people checking out or having breakfast, but was curt, rude and dismissive towards myself and my family. Now breakfast -- this one was unbelievable. I had checked out for to finalize the paperwork but was still in the Inn with our luggage. When my husband came back to the Inn with our children, we asked for breakfast. I was told that as I had checked out, we would have to pay for the complimentary breakfast!!! We are from the Ridgefield area - and I am ashamed that such a place exists in such a wonderful part of Connecticut.

Janet G.

Yelp
This inn is very comfortable. The rooms are nice-sized and the beds quite comfortable. It is very quiet -The breakfast is more than adequate and the owners are very pleasant. We found them to be quite warm and welcoming. We have stayed there many times and look forward to staying there again.

Yelp
This is a picturesque New England Inn located in the lovely town of Ridgefield, Ct. I have been to this Inn twice in the past 6 months, October 2010, hence the picturesque comment and again last month. It starts with entering such a quaint town and into the driveway of this striking property and when you enter into a warm foyeryou are greeted by the staff who are pleasant and professional without being overbearing and over the top. I am looking for friendly service, not new friends per se. That is exactly what you receive at this Inn, along with their great knowledge of the area. I received great directive from restaurant reccomendations to antiquing locales and breathtaking leaf peeping routes. The rooms are warm and cozy and the breakfast is a great start to the day.
