Looking for a quick bite in Goderich and found this little gem off of the town square. Nice atmosphere, very homey, and you can eat outside if the weather is nice, on a very comfortable patio off the street, allowing you to people watch. The food is not fancy but just darn good. I had a roast beef Reuben (?), yes, and it was very good. Caesar salad to start which was quite well put together. My wife had a stir fry which she said was very good. The wait staff are helpful and congenial. We would definitely go back.

I was familiar with this location from the show “You Gotta Eat Here” and it was absolutely right, you definitely do… The service was excellent the food was incredible with large delicious portions and the beer was ice cold! you make all that very affordable and with great service like from our server “Sandi” and you have a winner! We will definitely be back! Thank you!! Zeke

Google
Great little spot. Place was hopping when we went on a cold, damp spring day. Seemed to be primarily local people, so that speaks to the quality and price of the food.

Google
We ordered a fish and chips and a taco salad. Both were excellent. We would recommend this place for sure.

Very kind service. Our server, Jacqui, was very pleasant and nice, and gave us a great experience. I had the pan seared salmon and poutine side, and both were great. The salmon's sides could have used some extra seasoning, but the fish itself was amazing. Gravy and fries were perfect. Drinks were good quality. Would recommend if you're in the area. Clean and welcoming. Will be coming back in the future

Google
Super greasy clucker burger and G town steak wrap and superstore frozen pizza quality pizza for $20 for 2 topping. Ham was wrinkly dry, cheese was quick burn melt that brown top but still showing all shredded texture of cheese. Chicken burger with thigh meat that is dripping greasy from meat also deep fried with sweet and greasy orange sauce was unbearable, I had two bite and left all. Grown steak was very hard to describe wrong balanced taste. Staff was friendly but I was more than little disappointed about taste of food.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at West Street Willy's in Goderich, Ontario, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was inviting and cozy. The staff went above and beyond to make sure my dining experience was nothing short of spectacular. Now, let's talk about the food. Oh my goodness, where do I begin? The Bruschetta's were a flavor explosion in every bite, and the Fish Trio was cooked to perfection, each piece bursting with freshness. The Veggie Grinder was a delightful surprise, packed with savory goodness that satisfied even the heartiest of appetites. And don't even get me started on the Chocolate Lava Cake – it was pure heaven on a plate! Overall, I can't recommend West Street Willy's enough. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this place is a must-visit. Five stars all the way!

Google
My girlfriend and I got the chicken sandwiches here as takeout. The cream cheese tasted off and the chicken did not seem fresh at all. The breading was oily and had a sort of stale taste. The fries are absolutely frozen. These are not fresh cut, I’m pretty sure I’ve had these exact fries at other mediocre restaurants before. Probably the same brand. Staff was great.

Yelp
The service was great. Having an accessible washroom on the ground level was great. The meals were fantastic! The perogies meal was beautiful and tasty. She got us a takeaway box as we couldn't finish it all right away also. I had the breakfast for my lunch and it was done so well. Heartily recommended.

Yelp
I didn't know this place was on a Food Network TV Show called You Gotta Eat Here. I thought to myself "yeah idk, we'll see" I was blown away, creative food selection, excellent flavors, superb execution. I'm probably never going back to Goderich because I moved to New Brunswick, but if you're in Goderich reading this... You Gotta Eat Here.

Yelp
We went on a busy Saturday morning. We had to wait about twenty minutes for a table. Our drinks came right away which was promising but then we waited over an hour for our food. looking around the restaurant, no one was getting their food either but the place was packed so not sure if this is typical for this restaurant. When our food did arrive it was tasty, but wouldn't go again if the wait would be this long for food.

Yelp
Food was ok-to-good, service was outstanding. My wife and I split the Crispy Cod (good crisp, fresh cod) with side chowder (not the thick kind, which was a disappointment) and Trouble Maker Burger (double patties which were ok, but the pulled pork topping and sauce were really tasty) with side poutine (good portion size, though would have liked the curds to be more squeeky). Overall, the food was fine. The service though was topnotch. And I know people don't really eat out for the service, but I gotta commend the staff here. In the era of covid, they made us feel super safe with how particular they were with the safety measures. They were also very patient with the rude table beside us who kept making remarks about how overly paranoid this restaurant was being about the physical distancing and mask wearing. So while I wouldn't hesitate to say you'll have an ok meal here, I will also strongly advocate for the people here and the professionalism and care they display towards their customers.

Yelp
Food was good but very overpriced. Menu pictures are not up to date. I would say for close to $20 per person at lunch (2 of them were kids and doesn't include drinks), I'd want all the food to be outstanding.

Yelp
Came to this place for brunch after hearing great reviews, and I can totally understand why there's a line-up on the weekend! The menu is very extensive with lots of classic options such as eggs and toast, bennys and waffles. I ordered the waffle with brisket and it was very good! The waffle had a light texture and was quite fluffy, and smoked brisket had a strong BBQ flavour that was quite tasty! In addition the server was very attentive and welcoming even when they were quite busy! Can't wait to go back to try their other offerings!

Yelp
Great breakfast and lunch place. I think they do dinner too? I've only ever been here in the daytime though, funny enough. Actually I shouldn't say that, I think I had a beer here once, come to think of it. Hmm. Breakfast wise, they hit it outta the park. Breakfast Poutine. Apple Crisp Toast. Red Velvet Pancakes with maple cream cheese frosting. Whuuuut. And don't even get me started with their Peanut Butter, Banana & Bacon French Toast. Drool city. Elvis has left the building. They also have three versions of Eggs Benny, which is usually how I judge breakfast joints. And a wicked hollandaise. Lunch items are good too. Soups are really tasty - people are always raving about them. Pulled Pork and Sweet Potato Fries are tops too. Guys. Did I mention they have a CREAMSICLE MILKSHAKE? Atmosphere wise, the place is pretty buzzing, which is sometimes hard to carry on conversions. My mom is sitting beside me and made me write that as she often organizes ladies' lunch outings here. Oh, mom. Stop being old. That's it. Enjoy friends!

Yelp
This is our first time here. The staff is very kind and friendly. Sadly the burgers were a let down. They were well done to the point of loosing their flavor and became dry and chewy. One of the other people I was with ordered an omelet and that looked good. If I return I'll order breakfast instead.

Steven D.

Yelp
This place was great! The service, atmosphere and food were all above average. It was very obvious that the owner cares about the business and cares about return customers. A very pleasant experience.

Yelp
The service was good we we're seated right away the table we were seated at was small. The food was okay there was two problems, one being we asked for no sauce in the Panzarotti and there was sauce (and the sauce wasn't good) the second problem being the fish was soggy. Other then that everything was good.

Yelp
I've been a resident of Goderich for 15 years or so and I can safely say that this is the best place to eat Breakfast, lunch and Dinner .. The staff is very nice as well as the owners... Pete and Pauline (owners), Seem to have a grasp on listening to customers suggestions and sometimes using feedback to incorporate in the menu as well as other areas ... Something on the menu for all. And must stop on Yer way to the beach to have lunch and a nice A/C break too .. Or to even cure a hangover with a widely known (Pete's Big Mess Breakfast) .... And don't forget ... To order a Willy's pizza . I give that 5 stars ....

Yelp
Busy little place. Food was great. My wife had the quesadilla, said it was the best one she ever had. I had the club sandwich. It was a little different/ unique from the traditional club, which was really good. I am not French Fry fan, but the fries here were excellent ... kind of like McDonalds fries but crispier. It was busy. Service extremely friendly and efficient. We are not from here, but will return next time we are in Goderich. I highly recommend giving this place a try if you are in the neighbourhood.

Yelp
Do you like big portions? Do you like diverse, and inspired menus? Well, West Street Willy's delivers on all of this and more. Best food in Godrich hands down. When I sat down I was greeted by the owner, and my server had the whole Menu and all the specials perfectly memorized. Took the waiters recommendation and had their seafood pasta dish. I could probably live off that the rest of my life and still die happy. Best seafood I've ever had. Very friendly, knowledgable and attentive staff. Look forward to coming back here very soon! 10/10 it is my only recommendation for the town of Godrich.

Yelp
This place is amazing! Great food and service with wide choice of food including many vegetarian and seafood options. Had lunch here; my fisherman's chowder starter was awesome, with a nice blend of herbs, spices without too much of potato. My partner's fish tacos were great as was much killer club.

Yelp
Fish tacos!!!!!!!!!!!! I've had two things on this menu and I keep going back for the appetizer fish tacos. Seriously good and moderately filling (a decent lunch if you're not starving). My co-eater had pulled pork panini with sweet potato fries and...meh. Not bad, but also not delicious. Especially compared to the fish tacos. She also had some craft beer, which she very much enjoyed. Yours truly had an iced tea (as her eggo is preggo). One complaint. Bathroom is waaaaaaayyyyyy downstairs. They have a wheelchair accessible one on main floor but for me, I found it a hassle to shlub myself down some pretty steep stairs.

Yelp
We drove 40 mins in the snow (yes snow in October - yayyy Canada!) from Grand Bend to this delightful breakfast place. Yes it was worth it. I got the breakfast poutine. It was all of my dreams come true in a bowl of deliciousness. Hashbrowns, bacon,sausage..yum! You can pick how you like your eggs - I got them over easy. the best part - chipotle hollandaise which gives the dish the perfect kick. I would like a bottle of that stuff!!! if you ever find yourself in this neck of the woods then go here! Or do what I want to do which is escape the Toronto brunch scene of overpriced underwhelming food and go on a roadtrip for what is undeniably the best breakfast dish I have had :)

Yelp
We drove from the Pinery to this place based on a very positive first experience. Second time did not disappoint. I had the steak, cooked perfectly to medium. My kids had the pirogues, which they remembered from the first time. My wife had the fish tacos (fresh, bright) and the homemade chowder. Efficient service too, even though it was wildly busy when we first arrived. Great experience!

Yelp
It was a cool afternoon in May, while getting ready for work, I tuned into "You Gotta Eat Here". The show was featuring the epic food for West Street Willy's, which piqued my interest immediately. Being a fond lover of breakfast foods, I rounded up the troops (my family) and we made the long trek to Goderich (we live about five hours away). When the time came for our exciting breakfast, we were amazed that we were greeted at the door by the owner of the restaurant. The service was exquisite. The owner made regular rounds checking on his guests, which is rare where we come from. I ordered the red velvet pancakes, which were smothered in chocolate and cream cheese sauces. They were decadent, yet not rich and heavy; rather, quite light and scrumptious. My mom has the Belgian waffles that were light, crisp with no need for syrup. We did dine on a Tuesday morning, so there wasn't an issue getting a table. I would imagine this place gets quite busy on a weekend as their food is exactly what I would want to eat after a night of drinking. We would/shall return again when we can make the trek.

Yelp
We decided to head into cottage country for Easter weekend. Naturally, my quest for good food did not end when we left the city. Upon arrival, we found about 3 groups ahead of our table of 3, but still managed to get a table within about 15 minutes. It seems that since being on tv, this has become the local breakfast hot spot, and wait times in the summer can get pretty excessive. But with good reason, as EVERYTHING on the breakfast menu was under $10 pre tax and had some really interesting options for meat lovers and fruit/veggie fans alike. As a Toronto resident, this was very appreciated (I'm so tired of places charging $14 for mediocre breakfasts/brunch offerings with minimal options). After debating between a few items, I settled on the PB&B&B. Also known as Peanut Butter & Banana & Bacon French Toast. 4 pieces of french bread cooked up into french toast with a spread of peanut butter, sliced bananas, and strips of bacon in between and on top of the bread. Once it was all sliced up and had maple syrup in the mix as well, I was destroying this tasty breakfast plate. I'll admit it they could've toned back the peanut butter amount, but it was a tasty flavour combination all in all. The only way it got better, was when I ordered a side of their pulled pork to add another pig-based element to the plate. FLAVOUR DOMINATION!!!! A nice and sweet yet savoury pulled pork. My wife had some sort of turkey bacon wrap and an accompanying family member had some heavily berry-saturated waffles. Everyone loved their meal. For the 3 plates, 2 coffees, 1 orange juice, and a side of pulled pork, the bill came to only $40 post tax pre tip. I wish I could take a table of 3 for breakfast like that and only pay $40 in Toronto. 5 stars, without hesitation.

Yelp
Delicious! Good gluten-free and vegetarian options. We all loved our food and the server was really sweet. A tiny bit pricey for what you get, and they only do cash and debit. Atmosphere was pretty basic. That said, who cares? Food, selection and service were all excellent - would definitely go back.

Yelp
Waited 1 hour and 15 minutes I'm the rain for our food... watched people who came 20-30 minutes after us get our food much sooner than we did. Not impressed at all. Will not be returning

Yelp
during an overnight stay in Goderich with my mom, we tried West Street WIlly's after consulting Yelp, and were so happy with lunch that we returned for breakfast the next morning. lunch was simple and wonderful. i got the haddock & chips, and mom got the Killer Club - both were excellent. my only disappointment was in the beer selection, and our waitress's lack of beer knowledge. being from the States, i wasn't familiar with the breweries/beers available, and asked for clarification. my ears perked-up when our waitress finished reciting the short list by saying "that's our dark beer" - what the waitress brought me--and had told me was their "dark beer"--was a Steam Whistle Pilsner, which if you know anything about beer at all is absolutely not a "dark beer".. it's about as light as they come. anyway, i was so happy to have a beer after a four-hour drive that i didn't make a fuss. we returned for breakfast the next day, which is where the place really achieved greatness for me. mom had a basic bacon & eggs dish which she said was perfectly-done (although she kinda-complained about the large portions, which i've come to expect as i eat out a lot). i had the West Side Breakwich, which immediately became one of my all-time favorite breakfast dishes: pulled pork with eggs, served on waffles. everything was obviously house-made and wonderful. i wish we could have stayed longer to sample more of the menu (gotta try that breakfast poutine).

Yelp
The first 2 times I went I was blown away. I ordered the Funky Poutine twice because the portion size was massive and the price was good. The last time I ordered the Funky Poutine the portion size was barely half of what it was the first 2 times I ordered it and the prices stayed the same. I feel as though the quality and quantity have decreased and I am very disappointed. Some of the other items like Pauine's Perrogies and the Chicken Ceasar Salad were very tasty but the price was little high.

Mike P.

Yelp
Had the Willy's big breakfast, was excellent. Service and coffee and service was great. Would recommend this place for sure!

Yelp
Excellent spot in Goderich! Will keep this place in mind every time I am back in town. Cozy, friendly service, no distracting TVs, locally owned and run, fresh delicious food. Good value!

Yelp
The food is always well prepared and flavourful. This is a go to spot for family dinner or a business lunch.

El Machete D.

Yelp
Been here on numerous occasions and have always found it to be a good experience. The food is very good quality and the service is excellent with good order to table times. For not being a pizza place, they serve what I believe to be the best panzerotti available in the area. The portions are appropriate to the prices and overall cleanliness is very high. I have no problem recommending Willy's to anyone who wants a great sit down meal.

April M.

Yelp
I normally stick to what I know I like but tonight my daughter and I both tried something new it was amazing the f3 and the parm wrap were both delish. They were serving a group of 14 people and we didn't have to wait that long at all. And breakfast is also amazing. I love the breakfast pouting.

Terry M.

Yelp
Breakfast here today. We came to try the breakfast poutine and that's what we had along with an order if toast. This wonderful concoction is filled with home fries, meats, veggies, curds and grated cheese topped with chipotle hollandaise. It comes in a huge bowl and its s good thing we split it as it was outrageously large! The 2 of us couldn't finish it. Coffee was good, service was right on, cute little place that I will need to return to.

Jennifer H.

Yelp
Very good, the panzarotti was great and probably the best tasting crust I've eaten. Service was also excellent and friendly.

B S.

Yelp
Saw it on You Gotta Eat Here, good food, slow food arrival but good service. Very busy place. All 4 of us had something different and we all enjoyed our breakfast. Will definitely go back if in the area.
