My mother stayed at West Village Rehabilitation & Nursing Center from the beginning of January through the end of February. Overall, her experience was very pleasant, thanks to a dedicated group of staff members who truly care about their patients and take pride in their work as healthcare professionals.
One important piece of advice I would offer to any family with a loved one in a rehabilitation or nursing facility is to show up, stay involved, and advocate. Being present makes a meaningful difference.
I want to extend my sincere gratitude to the staff who helped make my mother’s progress as smooth and comfortable as possible. A very special thank‑you to the exceptional nurses on the 2nd Fl, Paul, Maria, Pierre, and JESSICA (who is no longer with the facility). Your compassion and professionalism were deeply appreciated.
I would also like to recognize the wonderful CNAs from the 2nd Fl who consistently went above and beyond: Destiny, Pearl, Mrs. Stone, Felicita, Franc, Khris, and Sheldon. Your patience, kindness, and dedication did not go unnoticed.
Thank you as well to Mrs. Nicole, the social worker, for your support and communication throughout my mother’s stay.
I also want to acknowledge the physical and occupational therapy team—Phatu and Marykay—who were truly amazing in helping my mother regain strength and confidence.
Lastly, I want to give a heartfelt thank‑you to the activities team—Bryan, Brandon, whose energy and engagement brought joy to the residents, and to John, who handles the front desk, for always being welcoming and helpful.
If not for you guys im not sure how well the experience may have turned out. I am grateful for the individuals who made a challenging time easier for my mother and our family.
