Westburn Park

Westburn Park in Aberdeen is a public park of about 10 hectares, located near the city center. I had the chance to visit it in April and was impressed by the lush, well-maintained greenery. The park offers a variety of facilities for all ages: tennis courts, football fields, a children's playground, a cycling path, and a skatepark. One of the highlights is Gilcomston Burn, a stream that runs through the park, adding a natural charm to the area. Also, Westburn House, a historic building designed by architect Archibald Simpson in 1839, is located within the park. For those looking to spend time outdoors, Westburn Park is the perfect place for walks, picnics, or recreational activities. It is easily accessible and provides a peaceful atmosphere, ideal for relaxing or enjoying nature.

Lots of dogs being walked by their furparents, Some di not have a leash on them, but overall no aggressive dogs noted . Place has the feel and ambiance of a golf course. Quiet and serene. Good place to jog, bike, and walk your dogs. Be careful as there are dog poop around.

Nice space to walk the dog, other sport facilities available there too. Great place for local residents to stroll about. Theres a pop up coffee vendor too.

Westburn park is a great place to take the kids or simply to go for a walk in the fresh air. There are plenty of things for the kids to play on and green space if you fancy sunbathing. The park also has tennis courts and a bowling green. There is parking but on busy days you may struggle to find a parking space in the park itself. There is street parking available but it is pay and display. The park appears well maintained and is a pleasant place to spend some time in the sun. There is also a recently built skateboard area. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

Nice park with good indore and out door facilities. Good cycle path for small children and a nice play area.
