Westchester Marriott

Beautiful hotel. Clean room and comfy bed. I was so impressed with the M lounge hors d’oeuvres hours. Who would have known that deviled eggs, shrimp cocktail and little cornchicons would make my freaking night! I love this place.

Positive: Customer Service was top teir! The smell upon arriving was SPECTAULAR! Late check out wasn't problematic-Free parking! Negative: The first morning (housekeeper's) cart seem to have DIRTY & CLEAN towels all mixed up-thevcart was a MESS & TOTAL disarray. She seemed weird. But nice.

This is a great hotel in a very convenient location right off Rt. 287 near the Tappan Zee bridge. The decor is very tasteful and appears to be recently renovated. Best of all is the service - we checked in late on Christmas Eve and were warmly greeted by Alejandra, making us feel 'right at home.' This was an unexpected treat after a very long day! And the wait staff working on Christmas morning were equally great. Kudos!

I came to the Westchester Marriott Hotel at 670 White Plains Rd in Tarrytown, accompanied by my daughter, for 5 nights to recover from hip replacement surgery. It was the best decision I could have made!|The long corridors were the perfect answer to learning to walk with my new hip in the winter! PT came to the room, worked with me in the room, in hallways and on stairs. Everyone on staff were amazing, including the room manager Austin Jones, as well as the Cornerstone Restaurant staff, Guilleremo, Ruddy, and others too many to name! The housekeepers, especially Mauderia, were pleasant and very helpful!|The food at the hotel is delicious! We ate repeatedly at the Crossroads Restaurant and we never tired of it!|Austin Jones went out of his way to give us a 5+ experience, and that is how I rate this hotel!

This has been one of the worst hotel experiences my wife and I have ever had. The recurring billing problems and lack of accountability from management were not minor inconveniences, they were serious enough to raise concern. The pattern of financial inconsistencies creates the impression that revenue is prioritized over guest care. Future guests should be extremely diligent in reviewing every charge before and after checkout.

Mostly fine, but they don't really care about privacy. When I checked in at 4:30pm, housekeeping literally tried barging in at 5pm (and were only stopped by the latch lock). Front desk only said "whoops, did you have the do not disturb sign on? They were probably working off of a list from 8am." The day of checkout, do not disturb sign up this time, they still tried to enter at 10:30am (checkout is noon). Front desk's response was essentially "whoops, what can you do?" and offered a Marriot points worth 1/5 of a night after asking what I wanted them to do. In neither case did they say "that shouldn't have happened" or "I'll tell my manager so that we can make sure that won't happen again" or anything that signaled that anything will actually be done about housekeeping just barging into occupied rooms. The fact that it happened twice over the period of 2 days shows that they didn't even consider the first complaint.

Our room was basic. Beds were comfortable. Towels were old (time to retire the towels with holes). The heat was so loud it sounded like a wind tunnel - but we got used to it and slept well. There were crumbs outside our room door (not from us) and there were too many stains on the rug for our taste. They didn’t have glasses in the room - but plastic cups. They could have at least replaced the used plastic cups for brushing teeth. ||Now - we had 2 different reservations and at check-in we asked if we can have the same room both nights. It wasn’t a problem. As a marriot member I asked if there were any avail upgrades. The front desk guy giggled as if I was making a joke. I asked if we had to re-check in the next day and he said no. I asked about breakfast and he said there is a buffet. ||Next morning I received a notification - clearly I needed to check in again (we needed new keys). Then after buying breakfast the 1st day next door (as we didn’t want to pay $50 for me and my 6 yo for breakfast) - we found out before leaving there was an a la cart menu. ||That plus not having proper fitting lids for hot tea and coffee cups was just a turn off. As nice as everyone was - I think a little training would go a long way. Not sure we’d stay here again - but it was overall an average experience. Definitely room for improvement!! ||Shout out to the helpful waiter in the morning - he was super kind and helpful (he saw me struggle with my 6 yo).

We stayed here twice in the span of one week for a wedding. To begin, we got a room block and they would |1. Not offer us an early check in / told us “they couldn’t” meanwhile when we called to ask again they said they had “no more early check in availability”, making it clear they did have it, but now saying they had no spots left.|2. We had about 15 rooms for the event and came back to the bar after the ceremony. We had a tab open that had already $100s of dollars on it and 7 other guests had their own tabs with different amounts. Once they learned that two of the guests had a cooler with them they came multiple times over to us about it, and threatened to kick out our entire party. We were not even sitting at the bar we were off to the side, and we had LARGE tabs at the bar. We were clearly paying customers. The manager was not helpful in the scenario.|3. We came back the next week and again had about 15 rooms booked. When we came back to the hotel, they not only treated us with such disrespect, they didn’t serve us. The bartenders didn’t make eye contact with the two brides of the party and by the time they were offered service it was twenty minutes after the fact. To also wrap it up, they had a reunion going on there and the groups of men were DRINKING THEIR OWN BEERS. NOT PURCHASED FROM THE BAR. But no one seemed to threaten to kick them out. |This establishment and the workers are disrespectful and ridiculous. Us and our guests will make sure to never book this hotel again.

OBSESSED with this hotel! I literally make sure to add it to my schedule whenever it shows up at work LOL. I have stayed at this hotel at least 100 time sin the last 2 years, and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. It's central to so much in Westchester, and you can walk around and feel so safe. There are tons of restaurants nearby, and a trail near the hotel as well. The cocierge is so attentive, and I have never experienced an issue with any of my statys that they haven't rectified immediately. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well stocked. The beds are so comfy, and the water gets scalding hot (just like I love it LOL). Can't wait to stay again in the upcoming weeks!!

Love the new lobby renovation! I haven't stayed here but the drinks and food at the lobby lounge are pretty good. Bartenders are amazingly friendly and the whole atmosphere of the space provides small areas for large or small groups of people to gather for a great time.

This is an older full service hotel, with friendly and welcoming staff. My room was clean and comfortable, complimentary toiletries/iron/hair dryer. Lots of electrical outlets (don't find that much in my travels) for plugging in devices. They had a full bar, restaurant and there is a Ruth Chris attached to the property. Complimentary coffee available out by the reception desk.

I've stayed at this Marriott twice (both times for work). My first visit was last year, and I just got back from my second work trip. When I walked in this time, I could've sworn the driver took me to the wrong hotel, because their renovations were so extensive that I honestly didn't recognize the place from my previous visit! Overall my stay this time was fine -- my room (502) was a bit loud since it overlooked the roof of Ruth's Chris and what appeared to be a loading dock, as well as a high wall overpass for the highway. But the bed was comfy, the shower had decent pressure, and they actually paid attention to my note about needing foam bedding since I'm allergic to feather bedding (I've noticed it's a crapshoot at hotels if they actually pay attention to those notes, so it's nice that I don't have to call the front desk and wait for replacement pillows to be brought up). The hotel bar can get very busy. The night I was there with coworkers, they had a violinist playing music (popular songs, not classical), and she was fantastic! It was nice having music playing while still being able to hear the people around me. And I ordered a "paper plane" cocktail (which my husband first introduced me to a few years ago), and they put a tiny paper plane on as a garnish! Oh, and the drink was tasty, haha... but the cute plane was what won me over! What brings this down a star was the room service. I flew in Tuesday night and had neither the time nor energy to go out seeking dinner, so I ordered from the room service menu (which is through the Bonvoy app). I ordered the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls since I just wanted something quick, and thought it was strange that there was no option for just a glass of water, so I put in a note asking for water along with my food. They brought the food to me about 30 minutes later, but it was in a paper bag (like a DoorDash order), with no water and no receipt. The egg rolls were just OK... they weren't very hot or crispy (if anything, they were a bit doughy). If that was the worst of it, I'd let it go -- but in the middle of the night, I woke up feeling very sick and throwing up. It wasn't a stomach bug because as soon as I was done, I felt totally fine, which tells me it was probably food poisoning. Can I be 100% sure it was their food? No, but it was the most likely culprit. So I can't say I'd recommend the egg rolls.

I stayed at this hotel while working in the area (also b|c I was trying to earn my Marriott Bonvoy points). The hotel was nice and clean. They were actually renovating the entryway when I arrived. The room was nice except it was soooo far away from the lobby. I was on the second floor and had to basically walk through a maze to get to my room. The room itself was nice and spacious. The bathroom was nice and bright. The only thing about the room that I didn't like was the balcony. There was no need because the view wasn't to outside. The view was inside the hotel. Nothing spectacular. The hotel also had meals. Depending on how you book your stay, breakfast was included. Otherwise, breakfast buffet was $25 + tax Might stay again if I could guarantee a room closer to the lobby.

One night stay at this hotel. It looks like renovations are complete. Our room was comfortable and nondescript. In a double room, the beds were double, not queen, and felt small. However, besides cleanliness, there are a few ways I measure a hotel and this Marriottt excelled in these areas: Air conditioning- room was cool at night! Breakfast- one of the best buffet breakfasts I have ever went to seen at a hotel. Nothing made to order but plenty of food that was delicious: Scrambled eggs. fat sausage, bacon, blintzes, oatmeal, fruit, pastries (the coffee cake looked fab). The only downside at breakfast was the service. Beverages were not at the buffet. I had to walk over to the server and getting coffee took a while. Gym-definitely the best hotel gym I have ever been to: Plenty of free weights machine, cardio equipment. This is the first hotel gym where I have seen Peloton bikes and treads. It was fun using the tread as I only have the bike at home. Would definitely return!

Double beds super small. Updated and looking new. Even for platinum, couldn't get an upgrade. Said there was wedding. Prolly didn't want to give it to me. Gave me a shiittyy view said they were gonna give me a balcony view.

From the moment I checked-in Kavit at the front desk was unwelcoming, short and overall rude. He didn't greet me upon entrance or arrival to the front desk he only said "name on the reservation" He then could not accommodate my stay in a king bed room with balcony and gave me a room with a double bed. I then asked to put my loyalty number and he told me "it doesn't matter because you will not get points for this anyway since you booked through your Amex" After settling in I found a massive SPIDER crawling on my bed on the first night and on the second night a huge TICK. To top it off, I was there for work and needed a package overnighted to me. It was delivered at 8 am and I approached Kavit at the front desk who solely took my name and room number down and could not find it after I approached him 4 hours later. Then he had me write my name down again and nothing. I came to the front desk at 9 pm at night and Alex called security to locate my package and Kavit approached me and said "sorry we couldn't find your package it has been lost" and then Alex ended his call and was successful at finding it. It took Alex 2 minutes to locate while I was waiting on Kavit for 13 hours. Overall terrible experience. The only good thing I can say is their gym is pretty big with great equipment and their Bar has pretty good drinks.

I vacillated between giving 3 stars instead of 4 because of some things that irritated me about this hotel, but decide that 4 was more fair because: 1. The hotel is conveniently located off the highway. 2. Check in and out were easy with adequate friendly staffing. 3. The room was plain, but clean and comfortable, and the bed was comfortable. 4. Outside parking was plentiful, at no extra charge. But I was put off by: 1. The the dim room lighting. Many hotels are skimping on bedside lamps and bulb wattage to save electricity, using installed low wattage bulbs strategically located in the walls to serve as reading lights. But the room itself was really dim. 2. The hotel does not have a simple coffee shop at which to get a beverage, bagel or croissant. Instead they have a convenience store type self serve nook with prepackaged items. You take from the shelf and pay at the check in counter. The alternative is to pay $30 for a full breakfast (we were not that hungry). 3. Finally, I am tired of being nickled and dimed for internet access at hotels. Potential customers, take note that they do not provide in room free wireless internet access unless you are a Marriott Bonvoy member who booked through Marriott channels, or a Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite, Platinum Elite, Titanium Elite, and Ambassador Elite member. I did not realize that the public areas have free internet, until we had checked out. The above criticisms are not deal breakers, and I would stay again at the Marriott Westchester if I could not find anything better. But I will look around for something that has these things, if in the future I have plans to be in Tarrytown.

Stopped here for a drink at the bar. My wife and I ordered an espresso martini. After taxes it was $43 for 2 espresso martinis which were sub par. I'm sure the hotel stay is nice, I hear nothing but good things.. if you feel like grabbing a drink, go elsewhere unless you want to spend your paycheck.

As I pulled into the parking lot, I observed plenty of parking and parking for people with disabilities and electric vehicles. As I entered the hotel, I was amazed at the regal sports bar and lounge with the smiling staff who welcomed me at the front counter. Everything I needed was on the property from the pool to the hotel store to an elegant steak house. I had a hard, long day traveling. I stopped by the Crossings bar and lounge. The bartender Edmundo smiled at me and offered me a menu and a beverage. I felt like I belonged here and secure. I had a wonderful stay here! This is a place I highly recommend! Thank you, Edmundo, Devine, Juan, and Robert!

Where is the pool?!?? What a disappointment!! I booked two nights here thinking I could enjoy the pool as I recalled it and see in the photos, and I was PISSED to walk in to the "pool area" to see dining tables what a waste of money!!!! I CAME HERE TO SWIM!!! I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS!! Not to mention I was given a room that was clearly water damaged and smelled horribly of mildew/mold!! Thankfully they did change my room, but still not a good experience after a long evening of travel. Breakfast buffet is better at the holiday inn express-they offer turkey breakfast sausage along with pork.

Conveniently located off 287 in Tarrytown. Newly renovated rooms. Restaurant has changed from Cooper's. Did not have an opportunity to try it. Next time!

This Marriott has been our go-to spot in the past primarily when we're getting home improvements done and have to be away. And most recently when the interior of our house was covered in plastic to allow our contractors work in peace for 2 days to patch up drywall, sand, prime, paint after getting electrical work done and high hats installed. Hubs reserved that same Friday for a 2 day stay and Marriott accommodated us without issues. The outside of this Marriott on Rt 119 in Tarrytown may not say much, but the huge lobby has a decent first impression. Really nothing elaborate- but it's well taken care of with enough seating and a corner area with a large flatscreen tv. Everything worked just fine in this dated- yet clean bathroom. But this wasn't at all a vacation stay- all we wanted was to sleep comfortably, rest our heads in clean white sheets and this Marriott, gave us that.

We are elite Marriott members, and while in most cases a bed is a bed its the staff that make the difference. We have stayed at this hotel several times over the past 2 years and sadly never again. The sullen face and attitude at reception was a shock compared to all previous stays. We simply asked a question about the security deposit and the disrespectful reply was a shock. Well done Jennifer who ruined the reputation. We immediately cancelled our booking on the spot and went to the Sheraton 150 yards away to be welcomed with a happy smile and nothing was too much trouble. We have in the past stayed at both but not again. Sheraton you have our business because of your value for money and staff service

Aaaannnnnnd.... Down to one star. Stayed here a few times recently....again yesterday.....and it just keeps getting worse. Stained carpet. Stained curtains. (What on earth are people doing in the rooms to stain the friggin curtains?? Never mind. I don't want to know.). Someone else's contact lens on the floor of the bathroom. Someone else's hair on every single towel. EVERY. SINGLE. TOWEL. No hair dryer in the room. Good thing I don't usually use those. Thankfully the bed was relatively clean from what I could see (but I was exhausted and didn't inspect too closely) ....and the air conditioning worked. That said, I still got a headache-which happens every time I stay at this property. Makes it really hard to get through my meetings and work. Unfortunately, there are no other good hotel choices in the area. Aaaarrrggghhhh!!!!!

Renovations in process (June 2023) I was not warned about the renovations that are in process at this hotel, so I was shocked when my Uber pulled up to a construction zone. I requested a renovated room and my request was granted. The renovated rooms are nice but still had the construction smell. I was in the hotel for less than 12 hours so it was not a deal breaker. The room could have been cleaned. The bathroom smelled like urine and there was hair in the shower racks. The bright side is that this hotel has 2 full service restaurants that are open during construction. Finally, breakfast in the lounge was limited and disappointing. All in all, I am still looking for the "right" hotel for my White Plains visits.

Stayed here with my family as part of a family wedding that we went to on Friday June 28th 2024, We stayed overnight and checked out on Saturday June 29th 2024. The rooms are renovated and overall very nice. The check in process was very easy, and they had carts to help us carry our luggage. In the front, they have a little sports bar that is very nice. didn't go there though, but it looked like a good place to be, cause at least if one is hungry one can go right there. rooms were very neat and comfortable. Hotel was a little chilly at night. i get cold easily though, so it could have been just me. but the beds were very comfy. We also had our own section for breakfast on Saturday morning, which was good (and also free because of breakfast vouchers) Although the hotel staff did kind of mess up because i was supposed to get another bag, which came with my breakfast voucher, but luckily whoever ran breakfast had extra. hotel staff should make sure they are giving out the proper amount. anyways, breakfast was very good, they had bagels, potatoes, eggs, french toast, and cereal. Coffee was served by a server, and was good too. Overall enjoyed our stay!

This is a full-service Marriott and it has potential although when I arrived, there was massive construction going on! Jackhammer noise that you could hear all the way up on the seventh floor. The concierge lounge was closed, but the FrontDesk gave me a free appetizer coupon to use in the restaurant however you couldn't sit in the restaurant because the construction was so loud it was deafening so I took my appetizer up to my room, the room is size although the bathroom is extremely small for a full service Marriott it appears to be newly decorated with more modern upgrades. Overall maybe once the construction is done. The hotel will be up to a full service property standard. There were electric vehicle charging stations available in the parking lot but since they share a parking lot with Ruth Chris steakhouse parking is very limited

The room smelled like disinfectant. The breakfast was disappointing. The "smart" elevator system--smart, perhaps, but very annoying.

I have stayed a few times at this hotel and each time my experience had been great. A nice and cozy hotel that is located on the outskirts of Tarrytown. The room a pretty nice and big. The staffs are very nice and very welcoming. The building has a few restaurants for lunch or dinner with came it easier not to leave it, it also has a nice bar for drinks. Their concierge lounge is one of the better ones I have seen in a while for those that have elite Marriot status. Breakfast is included but those that have Elite status. Overall a nice Marriot hotel that you will enjoy even more if you have the Elite Marriot Status.

Already ridiculously expensive but they don't even give you free wifi. I've stayed in some seedy motels in my time and even they have free wifi.

Definitely not a 4-star hotel. Hotel is sort of the in middle of nowhere. It's also under renovation/construction. Bathrooms are incredibly small. Shower is small and there's no place to put your things in the shower. The front desk person told me that she was giving me a renovated room, but I don't think it was - paint on the doors was chipping / doors were damaged. Also, when I checked in, they didn't tell me I wouldn't have water on the morning of my check-out day, but about 5 mins after I got to my room, there was a letter put under my door stating this. Excuse me!? I wouldn't have stayed here if I knew there wouldn't be water. I had an interview that next day, and it wasn't ideal.

easy 5 stars , bad on me for not updating in years. by far my favorite property and now that I'm lifetime, I've seen a few. staff is great, rooms are clean, not the most up to date, but ill be ok, and the lounge is the best i travel through, so ergo, 5 stars

Services at the bar discussing. It took an hour for a server to come to our table, another 15 to 20 minutes to get our drinks, and another 15 minutes to get our meals. We ordered wings and did receive our blue cheese and reminded our server, but we still never received our blue cheese. It took him 2 minutes to get our bills and collect the funds.

Have been here about an hour. No trash can, paper thin walls, can hear footsteps and full conversations and not from people in the hallway. Toilet is running nonstop and the shower plate is hanging off. No soap dish, not even a cheap bottle of hotel lotion in the bathroom. Arctic chill in the room even bumping up the thermostat. Front desk was very nice so we will see how this goes. Edited after the stay - it was not great and would not choose to return. Bed was comfy with a nice tv, but on my second day, it took over 5 minutes for my shower to get hot. No one at the front desk when I left at 6:45am so didn't get to share my experience. Dropped my key in the box and left.

Stayed here because the Renaissance Westchester was closed. Nice hotel with a Ruth Chris's Steakhouse. Also a coffee shop and spa were both closed due to Covid. Room is nice but a small bathroom with sink and vanity outside of the shower and toilet.

was a very nice, upgraded hotel with fancy elevators and nice furniture. my only downside was during my stay, there was a miscommunication with the staff and two people had tried to get into my room while i was in there as they thought the room was empty. the front desk offered a valid reason, as one was housekeeping and the other was security to change the locks, even though the door was clearly deadbolted and i was in the room. definitely spooked me but regardless a good hotel for a quick stay in the area.

One of the most chaotic check in experiences ever. Started with bass signage of entrance and even the building. Was it a Marriott? Who knew? Long lines, people screaming about their conferences, 2 weddings, unhappy workers. Getting to the room was nuts too. The elevator floor numbers are outside the elevator. You need to press it before you get into elevator. Nobody understood how it worked; nobody was getting to their correct floor. Positives: price was reasonable, room was dated but clean. Good bed. And Deidre behind the desk was an angel though. Helped me check in so i could go to my event on time.

Not my favorite location by far. The check-in staff greeted us appropriately and when we called back down, recommended an amazing restaurant in town. The lobby is huge but not welcoming. I did like the elevators!! Our room was clean and comfy. I did not like the bathroom doors, don't really close all the way. The pool area was beautiful, which is why we chose this location for our girl's weekend but . . . . I thought the water was way too green!! Wasn't going to risk going in there. Now onto the hot tub . . . it was way, way, way too cold. We mentioned it to the crew member who was walking around with his temperature checker. Nothing was done. We had multiple people ask us if the water was warm as it was very cold the day before. They all turned a left. This location did not have coffee or tea available in the lobby area. The pots/urns said "broken" on all of them. They did offer apples at the front desk. When I checked out, I mentioned that the hot tub was cold and the response, was sorry, have a nice day. I love staying at Marriott hotels but will choose another in this area.

I stayed here for work twice. I wasn't impressed both times. The person that checked me in wasn't very friendly. I felt like I was an inconvenience because I had a late flight in and checked in at almost midnight. Not exactly the welcome I was expecting for being in the area of hospitality. When I checked out, early in the morning (4am) to catch an early flight, I was treated the same, like I inconvenienced the front desk person. I used cash to pay and was expecting more change back. I realized I was shorted a couple dollars. No biggie, but I felt cheated. The second time I stayed, I called for room service a couple of nights. The menu is not vegan / vegetarian friendly, so I ordered several items so that I can pick and choose what I can eat. Again, the lady at the front desk was not friendly. As I was asking questions, I felt like the lady was trying to rush me off the phone. Also, the toilet in the room looked dirty and disgusting. I'm sure it was clean but it looks scratched up leaving an unpleasant appearance. And the hot tub in the pool area was not working the whole week, and that was what I was looking forward to after my long days. Also, if you get a room in the extension area, don't get one by the elevator. The ding sounds wake you up in your sleep. I kept thinking my alarm clock was going off. It has been rough staying here. With meetings early in the morning, you want a good nights rest that I did not get while staying here. If I had the choice, I would not stay here again. Next time I will ask my company for alternative accommodations.

I have been a Silver Elite member for quite some time so I have had my share of Marriott experiences. This one for our last two night stay was pretty positive. Check in was quick and easy. The room was clean and comfortable. The amenities were what you'd get at any Marriott. The gym was fantastic and per usual, not crowded. The pool was in the middle of the atrium. I always ask for a high floor, so it never was loud. They also close the pool area at 10pm. Connecting to the wifi was easy. As a Silver Elite, it is free, so sign up to avoid the charge. It's reliable, so no issues there. We let the kids order room service and it was good. I always use the Marriott app for pretty much everything. But this is where they lost a star. I forgot a toothbrush so I ordered one on the app. It never came. We had to call the front desk, which was fine, but where was the malfunction on the app? All in all a positive and solid experience and I would consider staying here again.

The hotel is in dire need for renovations. Old and stained carpets, rusty bathrooms. No lock on the bathroom door - ok if you travel by yourself. Not ok if it is a family. It looks like the food in the Restaurant was saved from the day before and served again.

Why am I not surprised to see this Marriot with such poor reviews. I know the old Bill Marriot wouldn't have it. You see, I used to work in the business, the Four Seasons Hotel Company's Hotel Pierre in NYC and Hospitality Standards and Chicago-based hotel consultant firm. Marriot was one of our clients. I knew what was expected of service. The problems began at check-in. It was a snafu by Hotwire made worse by the seemingly jaded Marriot reservationist when I first arrived. I booked on Hotwire, go the confirmation as usual. But, when I showed up the receptionist couldn't find my name on their guest list. I showed her my email confirmation from Hotwire but she just said to contact them (myself) and see what the matter is. She's the reservation professional. One would think she'd know what to do. Had she showed the slightest bit of service she could have seen the confirmation number on the email. A number I only discovered after waiting on hold with Hotwire for over 25 min, only to be disconnected by the receptionist there. Finally, I went to the other receptionist and asked if she typed in this number it might produce my reservation. She said she'd try. And, what do you know, Lo and Behold! My reservation. Surprise two: They charge for the Internet here! Yes, you heard that right. They charge over $12. LOL I stay at other Marriots and never have I seen that. I thought that was a throwback to the '90s. As I saw they were putting me on the first floor of this 10 story building I asked if something was available with a view. The receptionist said "you are on the first floor" (above the ground floor). I said, oh boy I can see the parking lot. There's the Tappan Zee Bridge and Hudson River nearby. No luck. The hottest the bathwater got was lukewarm. I guess if you book with Hotwire the consider you just a surf at this Marriot.

Parking is plentiful and there is easy access to rooms and two restaurants (Ruth's Chris and the more casual Coopers Mill). Huge pool and expansive areas to sit and relax in lobby and atrium. Room was clean and comfortable. HUGE television. Best shower water pressure in any hotel. Smallish bathroom. Check in took next to forever as there was only one person at front desk at 6pm on a weekday. The 2am fire alarm (false alarm) and hike up and down 6 flights of stairs was an interesting add-on. Second time this happened during a stay here! Convenient access to highways and the Tappan Zee.

While understandable the hotel undergoing renovation, not an excuse for extremely uneven customer service. Really reflection on management of staff, not necessarily the individuals in respective jobs.

Unfortunately, I cannot give the hotel a 0 rating! As a Platinum Elite member for 9 years, I assume a descent room would be something the staff would provide me with. I end up looking at a wall, 10ft from my window. I can see the top of a tree and the satellites. I asked at the desk if there were upgrades and they didn't even acknowledge my request. Again, I understand, we don't get upgraded on a regular basis. I asked to see the manager and the front desk staff stated he stepped away. I've been sitting in the lobby for 20 minutes and have been ignored. Secondarily, I booked the room a month ago, with no notification of the concierge lounge being closed for renovation. That is the only reason I booked a room here.

How do I describe my experience? The facilities are ok. This review is mostly about customer service and satisfaction. Long story short. We stayed for two night (3 different rooms). The hotel was having HVAC problems and the ACs were not working, rooms were approximately 78 degrees. Not all the rooms in the hotel had the issue. We reported the problem to the front desk and the solution they proposed was to "open the window". We asked to get a room change and the manager said no, even after the other employee confirmed they had rooms available. We asked to get a refund so we could switch hotels and they said no. At check out I asked for sn email address to express my discontent. The email address I received was invalid. I emailed "corporate" and someone responded saying they would call me and nothing. I'm still waiting for that call. I have messaged the person about 4-5 times with no response. I even received a survey about their customer service after I emailed the last time, which for me means they closed my case without even reaching out. This was about the principle of providing the customer good service and making their stay "Marriott worthy". I feel like my voice was dismissed. Will never stay in this hotel after this experience.

Came to this hotel with my husband for a quick getaway. First room they put me in had a used bar soap. We were then accommodated to another room. My cellphone fell behind the bed when I moved it I found a USED tampon and glasses. Security came upstairs took my name and number, no one has called. I personally called myself today in the evening and was advised that the manager already had my name and number. Currently almost 10pm the next day and still NO phone call. Pretty disgusting cleaning especially during covid. Also have pictures to show proof.

What a BEAUTIFUL hotel! I'm usually not impressed by hotels in the US compared to hotels in India but this one was amazing!! I went there for lunch to one of its restaurants. I just loved the cleanliness, space, and ambience of the entire hotel - the lobby, the restaurant, everything! On a Friday afternoon and the restaurant was packed. It looked like by people from a conference because they had name tags on. I got the grilled chicken sandwich which came with a side of ceasar salad. The sandwich and salad were yum! Salad was fresh! Worked on one of the high tables in the lobby and found the chairs to be really comfy.

Not really a "Marriott"...but perfectly fine How to put this? The Westchester Marriott is the worst "Marriott" in which we've ever stayed. However, it is by far the nicest chain hotel in the area and is arguably the finest overall. As long as you don't expect it to be equivalent to a big city (or even more to the point non-US) "Marriott" you'll do fine. That said, the latest turn of the COVID wheel left us unhappy. Previously, in one of our stays during COVID there was a limited room service menu. Now that is gone and the remaining restaurant (a Ruth's Chris) won't take room charge orders over the phone. So we had to sit at the bar, place our 'to-go' order, wait for it to be prepared, and then return to the safety of our room. I know we should be grateful that there is anywhere on-site to eat during these times...but we would very much prefer a more COVID friendly approach. Allowing call in orders that only require guests to pick up orders at the bar - even if the call-in has to be done on the hotel phone - would be very much appreciated.

Two older ladies that work in the lobby really made sure we had a bad visit. We were willing to accept the fact that half the hotel was under construction. But those ladies made us feel really uncomfortable.

The room was mediocre and the service weren't very hospitable. For a Marriott I was quite disappointed.

Good place with bad staff, they always ask about the reservation payment even if you already do it. So this kind of situation is really annoying. But the hotel is nice and clean.

I am Titanium Elite member with Marriott. I obviously like the Marriott chain. This past experience was not one of my favorites. I arrived at the hotel and was assigned a room that was directly next to the elevators and had no windows facing outside. I heard a beep from elevator every 4-5 min. My view was half a pole and a wall. As a Titanium Elite member this is easily the worst room I have ever stayed in. I became even more annoyed after I was reassigned to another room and saw now much bigger and nicer it was. The hotel is fairly old but has had some upgrades. They need to treat elite members better. I will not be returning.

Paid over 400 for the night on Mother's Day weekend and was not informed that the pool was closed. As a matter of fact I was lied to when booking, was told of the hours of operation when I booked just two days prior to arrival, and I've come to find out the pool has been closed for over a year. Was very excited to treat my wife here on her first Mother's Day. I specifically chose this hotel because of the indoor pool. I would not have stayed otherwise: Highly shady. Very misleading. Not to mention my room had one tiny trash can there was no place to throw any garbage I had to take my own bag with me. Also Good luck getting into contact with anyone at this hotel on the phone it's basically impossible. Had a couple of questions before my arrival and it was literally impossible to contact anyone associated with the hotel. You'll get a series of prompts and can't speak to anyone unless you want to book a reservation. I will never be staying at this hotel ever again. Highly disappointed in the experience, and I would extend that to any Marriott after this on principle because of the experience. I would not recommend it to anyone either.

Came here for a gala the other night and had a really great time. The outdoor patio is beautiful, tons of open bars, gorgeous outdoor chandeliers and enclosed in an open-air tent for a nice shaded party. The ballroom was relatively nice as well, clean and quaint, a little dated but it was nice. The wait staff service was phenomenal and the food is a whole other thing. The food was absolutely the best part. Amazing cheese platters with chorizo and dates, octopus salad, hummus, and what tasted like homemade pita chips. They also had fruit tarts at dinner which were pastry-shop worthy. So good, was really impressed with the food selection overall and service. Great venue!

For being a major conference center hotel in Westchester, I was pleased with how updated the hotel was. The lobby is modern, has many small seating areas and doesn't look too dated. The lobby leads to a spa and out to an indoor courtyard with a glass ceiling that houses the pool and small tables. This was a perfect way to create an outdoor swimming experience in a place that experiences rough winters. Our stay was mostly uneventful. We checked in very early in the morning and no one was around. We called into the back room for five minutes before someone finally emerged, looking less than thrilled to have been bothered. Check in was easy, getting to the room, not so much. The Marriott has electronic machines that, once you've selected your floor on the screen, will tell you which elevator to take. There is no way to change your mind once you get on the elevator as there are no buttons. One of the screens on our floor did not work, what would happen if the other one broke, too? Seems an unnecessary feature for a hotel. The room was comfortable and clean, but the bathroom was dated, particularly the shower-tub combo. We were in an ADA room. $12.75 for wifi for one day is also a rip off; you'd think in a conference center where people would likely need it, they could lower the price or offer at least a day free. The Registration desk is grossly understaffed. Any time I was down in the lobby there was a line of at least 5-7 people waiting, with only 2-3 people working behind the counter. The staff never seemed to have any urgency to resolve this situation, and often would stop to talk to someone who had come from a back room. The Copper Mill bar was crowded, but a great place to grab a drink. We enjoyed that space very much, but did not try any of the other restaurants (one of which was a Ruth's Chris). The town is about a 10 minute drive away and Uber does not operate in the area (hopefully by July '17) and has some decent breakfast and lunch options. We stayed here because it was the host hotel for a wedding (of which there were 5 others that weekend!) but I doubt we'd find our way back anytime soon.
