We enjoyed a wonderful few days in the Westcroft Guesthouse, where everything is 5 star, including the friendly service, beautiful bedrooms where the beds are so comfortable, it is like sleeping on clouds, the veiw from our lounge overlooking the sea was immense. The breakfast was magnificent and their was so much choice. Sarah is an exceptional host with great attention to detail.

We recently returned from a wonderful stay at Westcroft guesthouse. Sarah is the most welcoming host. Her dogs both welcomed our little jack russell & he was thoroughly spoilt by Sarah.|A hearty breakfast awaited us each morning with breathtaking sea views. The bedroom was beautifully decorated with a stunning lounge adjoining it of which we had sole use, again with views of the sea.|Westcroft Guesthouse truly is a hidden gem which we highly recommend.

We came shortly before Christmas and our stay was amazing. Sarah was helpful and attentive from start to finish despite the inevitable busy Christmas period. We were absolutely blown away by the Clocktower suite. A roll top bath and his and hers sinks were such a treat. Bed and pillow were super comfy and slept like logs. It’s so quiet and peaceful up there we could of spent all day in it but we were too eager to explore to Cornish countryside! Breakfast was really nice and tasty. Very accommodating to our dog as well. We would most certainly stay again. Thank you Sarah!

Wow what a little gem we have found, made even more special by sarah being an amazing host. Warm welcome on arrival and the breakfast is locally sourced which made it even more delicious. Nothing was to much trouble. Location was perfect for us, would definitely return xx

Superbly comfortable and clean beds and bedding. Accomodation adjusted to suit our current needs. Food sourced locally, including bacon, tomatoes, eggs, mushrooms. Easy going breakfast service. Fresh filter coffee, tea and toast on request. |Towels were fluffy and plentiful. Some toiletries ie handwash, shower gel were on hand. |A quiet, battery recharging resort. We took beach chairs and towels. We were offered some laundry facilities, which was gratefully accepted.

Sarah our hostess was amazing, good communication, upgraded us to the bigger accommodation with lounge.|Parked at main car park for the 48 hours reasonably priced |She met us nearby and escorted us to the house.||The interior was very eclectic and arty with fantastic lounge area and view of the kingsands and the waves crashing in which kept us amused as we watched the kids dashing back and forth from the shore.|She made our dinner reservations at the neighbouring pub, the devonport, which again was charming..great food and service. |She offered us a glass of wine before dinner and some snacks which was unexpected and went out of her way to look after us.|The bedroom was amazing and bed very comfortable. |The wet room was great and many extra touches and amenities provided. |The breakfast was amazing, fresh organic fruits, cereals ..then hot breakfast of our choice..the poached eggs and slow roasted tomatoes were more than restaurant standard. |I loved all her individual touches. |She has a real passion to look after her guests.|I’ve read some reviews, some but very few I feel are a little cruel.|Yes we couldn’t find milk for the tea and coffee provided so may be an advisory, but she gave us wine and nibbles which were unexpected.|The toiletries were provided if you had forgotten your own, which was sweet.|If you are thinking this is a five star hotel, you’d be wrong. Be prepared for quirky, unusual, funky. Some slight over sights if you want milk jiggers or individual toiletries but she more then makes up for these insignificances with her breakfast, her lovely dogs and her kindness and genuine interest.|Thank you so much, we will return.

Me and my partner had the most amazing stay at Westcroft Guesthouse. Sarah really looked after us and made our stay so memorable. She was so welcoming and friendly and was so kind as to recommend us places to go and eat and even made us a reservation the day we got there so we didn’t have to worry. Her breakfast was absolutely amazing and we looked forward to it every morning. We have never been so well taken care of! The bed was so comfortable and the shower was amazing, I wish I could of taken it with me! The location was perfect and the views were breathtaking. We will definitely be returning in the future. If you are thinking of booking Westcroft Guesthouse you will not regret it.

Wonderful stay at this charming house filled with beautiful objects. Sarah, who also curates the art gallery next door, has a wonderful eye. She was a gracious host preparing a fabulous breakfast made with local produce. Bed was very comfortable with several fluffy pillows in soft white pillow cases. Sarah recommended the excellent Cross Keys pub for dinner as well as the Devonport inn with spectacular views. We did spectacular coast walks too.

Yelp
This place is brilliant, it fits in with its surroundings brilliantly. On my stay we were in the cottage attached to the guesthouse. The interior is filled with traditional charm with enough modern touches so you don't feel that you've completely walked back in time. Walking through the entrance to the Gallery at the back (yes as in an art gallery) you truly feel like you're in a fishing village, little details just add the ambience of your visit in the evening they open up the entrances to and light the passage ways with a random layout of candles to guide you. The cottage rooms except for the main bedroom are small, though with where you are you're unlikely to spend much time in them anyways, the only down side I found in the cottage was that the shared bathroom was only accessible through the main bedroom or one of the smaller rooms meaning the people in the third bedroom had to trapes through one or the other each time (luckily someone else called shotgun on this room before realising the location of the bathroom HA!) Breakfast can be provided, with options to suit various needs and on this note the bacon (which is locally sourced) is amazing (for me and my likes in the world, Bacon is as important as Ale) One of the big benefits of breakfast here is that they are quite accomadating as to what time you want breakfast too which is a pleasant surprise. What is nice about the cottage as well is that because it is self contained and right next to the side entrance you can come and go without a care of the time if needs be while at the same time you're literally feet away from Sarah and Dylan should you need anything, though do bare in mind that the Cottage is intended as Self Catering opposed to the rooms in the Guesthouse. Having also had a gander round the Guesthouse (the time of year meant they were quiet so we Dylan took us round to have a quick nosey at what else was on offer, only of the empty rooms of obviously there were other people staying) these bedrooms are more spacious than the cottage, the cottage gets the benefit of its own Kitchen, as all throughout the guesthouse are additional Lounges and Bathrooms finished with a large communal Breakfast room dominated by a truly awesome round breakfast table ready for feasting. The Guesthouse is based virtually in the centre of the village making it an ideal starting point for whatever you fancy whether its being staggering distance to the pubs, to going for long walks along the beach or in the hills. If you do go by car then the carpark is barely 2 minutes walk from the Guesthouse, the carparks also really reasonable if you're visiting the place during the day its £1 (yes ONE pound, two fingers up at City Car Parks methinks) or if you need a space for the weekend its £10 (so about the same price as being allowed through the gate of a city car park :OP ) IF the car park is full, there is a second one on the other side of the village, but with how big the village is this isn't really disasorous, instead of a 2 minute walk its maybe as much as a whole 8 minutes at a slow pace. While maybe needing a seperate review in itself (I'll have a think on this) the Gallery at the back of the Guesthouse is Sarah and Dylans Side Hobby and Passion. They really look to support local artists providing a venue for people to come and view (and purchase) the work, they even have an Artists flat above the gallery for people to stay so they can have space to produce as well as showcase their works. what did surprise me was how busy the Gallery gets, lots of people wandering through the village for the day, come in and have a mosey on through. Cost wise, I'm happy with what I paid, I think it worked out about £50 per night with breakfast, I know the rates vary between rooms etc but with the warm and friendly service you recieve you just feel welcome combined with your room I doubt you'd be dissapointed at the price.
