Western Sydney Parklands

We were hunting for kangaroos 🦘 and ended up finding one of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen.

Pros: Beyond beautiful, some genuinely good and well maintained facilities including outdoor BBQ, restrooms and it's super clean most of the time. It is also a really good walking and running trail with the added bonus of seeing some kangaroos. Cons: Limited access if you don't have a car, we have a dog and for dog owners there's no pick up bags or even large and many off leash dog areas. Wish the council invested in making it more dog and non vehicle friendly.

Needs a better exit route plan for the end of events, absolute MAYHEM trying to get out of the carpark after a long arvo at the track. Otherwise, couldn’t fault it

Loved this zoo. The paid animal encounters are worth the time and money spent to understand the animals and the experience to touch.

Great place to rent an outdoor shelter for a get together. There’s plenty of options with a number of them located relatively close to different car parks. I would recommend scoping it out before renting it so you can pick the best one for you. Different capacities for each one, and also different facilities (some are well suited for BBQs, for example). There are also a couple shelters that cannot be rented and are a first come first serve availability. Beautiful views, and clean facilities nonetheless 😊

nice open area, plenty of shade and kids activities; lots of parking also; there are watch out for snake signs but never saw any myself

Very big place, can spend the whole day here, plenty of hiking and cycling trails, BBQ areas, sightseeing and also moonrise seeing at evenings. Can see the great Sydney city view from the top, Sugarloaf ridge and moonrise lookout. plenty of shades. Alot of parking spaces and open grounds
