Westfield Carousel

I’ve always loved shopping and spending time at Westfield Carousel. I first came across this place over 20 years ago when I was studying at uni in WA — and wow, it’s come a long way since then! The major upgrades and renovations over the years have made it so much more modern and enjoyable. There’s a great mix of shops, cafes, and places to hang out, and the whole place just has a good vibe. Parking’s pretty easy too — you get 2 hours free if you’re not a member, and up to 4 hours free if you sign up as a Westfield member, which is super handy. All up, it’s one of my go-to spots whenever I’m in the area. Always a great experience!

We went and had lunch at Mochachos. Food was delicious and fresh, we had enchiladas, chimichanga, chicken strips and chips. The personnel serving us was very friendly and professional at the same time. Because it was so tasty we ordered for take away and didn't have to cook later.. Kids are enjoying their chicken and chips now for dinner. Will definitely go again and try some more dishes.

Huge shopping centre. Good idea to google the location of the shop your going to before getting to car park, so you can park near the entry closest to destination shop(s). I only say this as its easy a fifteen minute walk through center, one end to other. Huge center means massive amount of varied retailers and food outlets to satisfy most shoppers. 2 hour free parking is a weird one though, must be a reason behind it but after 2 hours of shopping, spending money, they start charging you for parking... so like I said, work out where you need to go, get it and get out within 2 hrs with no extra charge.

Came to the mall with my kids to buy few thing, we had lunch, ince cream and then watched a movie at the cinema. I think I spend more than $300 there to be charged later for parking $35!!!!!!! That is unacceptable. Maybe the parking fees can be waived if you spend above a certain amount in the mall? I think I will continue buying things online, easier, more convinine and I don't have to pay ridiculous amounts on parking fees

Love coming here to shop, where kids can play and adults can shop till you drop! I always bring my overseas visitors here and am proud that we can show them the standard of shops we have here - a mix of high end and average prices so that they cater to all needs. Thanks for the great work Caro!

I went to the info desk at carousel. And was not treated in a sincere or professional manner. I quesrioned as to why i had been charged a parking free of $20 when i had registered my plate number. She then noticed which i had no idea that i had mistyped my plate number unknowlingly. I requested a goodwill refund she refused by saying it was my fault to my face and i corrected ger as it was just a human error and now i had fixed it can you pls waive this time she said no its your mistake i found that very rude and unpolite she had an attitude dont carr your mistake . Not happy with customer service at all. Claimed her name to be Haim or Hiam something she said it so slowly make it hard to understand and i guess that was ger mistake not in speaking out louder!!

Love this shopping centre! They have recently done some massive renovations with a whole new wing with lots of shops and a really nice upstairs area with lots of quality restaurants. We often go there for just the great selection of places to eat at. People were complaining about having to pay for parking but it is actually free if you stay less than 3hrs.

1st time at cinema took my daughter for her b day got 4hr parking but I think if u go to cinema it should be few more hrs free the movie was a long 1.had quick coffee after as I was worried bout parking. it cost me 7 doll for over staying half hour couldnt even enjoy a shopping experience with her. I think that's realy bad bussiness.if u present a movie ticket them hrs should be extended think about it wesfield??

So good free wifi so much good food very nice people so much shops you should absloutely go here!

I love this shopping centre. I don't go there a lot though but when I do it's usually for a movie. It's got shops galore, lots of places to eat, banks, a money changer, a cinema, novelty, gift shops, supermarkets, a post office and much more. It can get crazy busy at times which is good as it means it's popular.

Carousel is tops in every way. The sheer size of this ginormous shopper's paradise means you can't go too far wrong. There are your obligatory but very much appreciated and revered suburban shopping centre stores: Myer, Sports Girl, Live, Cotton On Clothing....but there are also a heap of other cool stores you'll be battling to find elsewhere. Lots of them are pop up stalls in the middle of the thoroughfare but don't let that dampen your spirits about your next shopping experience. In fact, it might be worth your while giving these oft' overlooked and undervalued minorities a second glance. I found some really nice jewellery for just ten bucks a piece right before Christmas. On par with some of the chain jewellery stores for price but well above them for value for money. The pieces were stunning and looked much more expensive than they actually were. The 'pop up' lolly shop also proved a treat, although they still couldn't source my much sought after salt water taffy, the multitude of other exotic and rare goodies tantalized my taste buds. This haven of goodies is right near Miss Maud. I love the high ceilings of carousel and some of the ornate furnishings which add to the jubilant atmosphere: the seemingly endless strings of white lights hanging near the movies are a joy to behold. The food hall is another attraction. With its multitude and array of fabulous food fare the hardest part is making a decision. Various Asian options, salad and health bars, Indian and a special cookie store for dessert...the kids (little and not so little) will ascend to cookie heaven. Variety, unique attributes and a touch of opulence make Carousel a luscious shopper's paradise. Only one word of warning: parking can be a problem during very peak times so try to avoid the rush.

Carousel is getting heaps of good shops. Theres a Peter Alexander, Typo, Kikki k that have all opened up in the last year. i prefer Carousel out of all the Westfields. If you go on a Thursday night expect to see girls aged from 12-17 walking around in just their underwear. and don't go on a Saturday between 11-2 unless you want to get stuck behind mobs of families and people that have no idea what they are doing. A quick shop is a good shop !!

The shopping centre itself is quite good by Perth standards - there are good variety and range of shops, from large chains and department stores to quaint little lolly and hobby shops. I have rarely gone to this Westfield bands left without what I was looking for. There is a very decent food court, and various other snack places and cafés scattered throughout the shop like Dome, Miss Maud's, Bella's Cupcake World, Fit Chips, Nandos and various ice cream and drink outlets. There is also a small section that has a pub and cafe style offerings like Han's Cafe, the Craftsman and Fast Eddies. Food here is well covered! On the other hand, parking is not very well covered at all. I can often drive around for anywhere between 5 and 15 minutes looking for parking and by the time I actually reach the shopping centre, I am inescapably frazzled! I try to go through the food court entrance to pick me up something tasty to calm myself down on the way in - I find that helps!

Carousel is a pretty good shopping centre. It's a bit of a maze these days and for some reason you can barely get any phone reception inside the complex, but if you're looking for something there's bound to be a shop here to suit your needs. They also have one of the better food courts around Perth -- a wealth of fresh and tasty options rather than the usual boring nonsense.

I love Westfield carousel and when they give back so to say! This weekend they are offering free personal styling sessions (which include a free goodie bag and a $10 Westfield gift card!) and free makeovers at Napoleon Perdis! Score right? Yes parking can be bad at times but based on the variety of shops - I think it definately makes up for it!!

The centre itself is big and has a reasonable variety of stores as well as the big chains (Target, Kmart, Coles, Woolies and Myer). It is actually the only Westfield in WA with a Myer. In saying that, the Myer is not the best I've been to. Everything was crammed so close together it was difficult to really have a look at what was hanging on the racks. On the flipside, there appeared to be less stock in some of my favourite stores like Sportsgirl and Witchery. Big food court and cinema all within the centre. As mentioned in other reviews - parking in heinous. I went on a normal Sunday afternoon (no public holidays approaching etc) and had to stalk people coming out of the centre for their car bays. And once inside the centre was PACKED. So they must be doing something right to get the big crowds in but I won't be rushing back.

Dirty, horrible shopping centre. The state of the toilets make this in my opinion WA's worst shopping experience.

For a certain kind of shopper that enjoys indulging in 100% gruen transfer, Carousel must be a kind of paradise. This is the kind of shopping centre where everything is laid out in as confusing a manner as possible, meaning that any shopping expedition here that is not planned down to the last detail turns into an exercise in walking around in a daze, surrenderring completely to the tacky glamour of the place. The cinema is quite good and features the occasional asian martial arts film that you might not see elsewhere. The cinemas are state of the art and boast huge screens with fantastic soundsystems. If you're coming here of an evening, I would advise you to eat before you arrive at the centre; options are limited, not enticing and always jam-packed with people. On the upside, there is an awful lot of stuff here. If you absolutely have to find some kind of birthday/christmas/bah mitzvah/apology gift, you are almost guaranteed to find it here. It's just that you will probably end up buying a whole pile of other junk while you're there and take about four hours longer to get it than you expected.

Was totally impressed with my service from target found out first time i could not only swipe flybuys but redeem points at point of sale handy tip for future reference!!

Parking at this centre on weekends or public holidays can be a nightmare, especially at christmas. But if you have a lot of shopping to do and you'd rather do it all in one place, then this is for you. Great range of specialty stores as well as the usual department store glam like Myers. If your not good at walking long distances though you may want to see centre management and grab a wheel chair, because this centre sprawls out in all directions. It will take you roughly ten mins to walk from end to end. They have a hoyts cinema upstairs too which is handy.

This is an awesome place to shop if you have plenty of time because it is huge and has lots of small specialty shops that are a must visit. The parking here is not the best towards the weekend or at busy times of the year. There is a large food court in the middle of the centre but that doesn't limit you to choice as there are lots of other venues around the centre to eat. And to top it off there is a play centre for the kids in the middle and a Hoyts and game centre on the top floor. This centre has pretty much everything you need in the once place but will take you all day to get the shopping done.

They actually have some really great stuff at Carousel that you can't find at any of the other shopping centres. I found this really cute Wayne Cooper wallet in Myer that I haven't seen anywhere else. And the food court is the most extensive I've ever seen. There's a bagel express, which I absolutely love, and I've never seen anywhere else. They are the nicest bagels and whenever I work in the centre I get about four.

Carousel shopping centre - what a name. Interestingly enough, trying to navigate this precinct is much like what you do on an actual carousel. That is, much of the time spent trying to find something ends up in walking around in circles. Once you do figure that place out though, you'll find it's an average suburban shopping centre, full of school-aged mall rats and mischief makers in the car park. They have all your major retailers, like Coles, Woolworths, JB HiFi, Myer, Target and a few discount stores. It's a good place for families to get the shopping done, and I have to say the grocer opposite Woolworths is one of the best and cheapest in Perth. Their food court is a bit lacking, and service is very, very slow with indifferent high schoolers in charge of places. Overall, my experience was the epitome of average.
