42 Best Things to Do in Paris

"The Forum des Halles is a sprawling shopping, dining, and transportation hub right in the heart of Paris, with nearly 150 shops and restaurants. A 2016 renovation saw the addition of a spectacular wavy roof nicknamed La Canopée—you’re going to want a picture of it. Though the architecture is new, the shopping concept is not: A market has stood on this very site since the 1100s." - Julia Eskins, Melissa Liebling-Goldberg

9 Best Shops in Paris

"Centre Commercial is a multi-brand boutique launched by the founders of sustainable sneaker brand Veja. Situated a block from the Canal Saint-Martin, the store stocks menswear, womenswear, and lifestyle goods exclusively from sustainably and transparently produced labels, mostly from Europe. The whitewashed space is airy and bright, with modern light fixtures and exposed stone, all to keep the focus on the goods from Veja (of course), Mara Hoffman, Maison Château Rouge, and Patagonia, among many others." - Alice Cavanagh

One of the biggest shopping malls I have visited and have a unique and beautiful structure as they have an open outdoor stage-type space that goes down to 3rd level underground. Hip area for young people.

Nice shopping center here, just in the middle of Paris. There are many shops and the place is nice. On the tops have many restaurants around. There are also the cinema here. It is very convenient to come because there are many trains connected here at the station Châtelet-Les Halles.

🛍️ Wow wow wow what a shopping center in the middle of Paris. After London we thought that no shopping center would top this, but this branch is huge with all the brands you know. Lots of options for eating and drinking from all over the world. What I personally think is great is that there is a metro connection (public transport). What I also thought was great is that there were enough parking spaces and you didn't have to queue. Parking wasn't expensive by Paris standards either. 📣 If you like my reviews, I would be happy about a LIKE below and to follow me on Google Maps for more interesting reviews just click on my profile photo above + then on the FOLLOW button under my username Hakobert please :)

One of the popular malls in central Paris, very convenient and packed with everything you could need. If you’re around, definitely check it out. The mall is spread over several floors, each with its own vibe and kind of shops. Minor store presences can change over time, in general: On the lowest level, Level -3, you’ll find mostly tech stores, books, and some food spots. The big Fnac is there, best for books, music, and electronics. There’s also Darty if you need appliances, plus a few casual places to grab a quick bite. Level -2 is all about fashion and sportswear. If you’re into sneakers, this is where you want to be, there’s Nike, Adidas, Foot Locker, and New Balance all in one place. You’ll also find casual men’s fashion like Pull & Bear, Bershka, H&M Men, Celio, and Superdry. Moving up to Level -1, the focus shifts to beauty, accessories, and mixed fashion. Sephora, Yves Rocher, NYX, and Kiko are great for makeup lovers. For accessories, there’s Claire’s, Pandora, and Lovisa. You can also find fashion brands like Mango, Stradivarius, and Undiz on this floor. The ground floor, right under the Canopée roof, feels trendy with lifestyle boutiques. Stores like Muji, Søstrene Grene, and Maisons du Monde offer home and stationery stuff. If you have a sweet tooth, you’ll love the chocolate shops like Le Chocolat Alain Ducasse, Jeff de Bruges, and Leonidas. Plus, there are some chill cafés where you can relax. Finally, the upper level near the Canopée roof has more services and food options. It’s a nice place to hang out, with lockers and meeting spots. There’s also a library and a busy cinema close by if you want to catch a movie. Getting here is easy thanks to the Châtelet - Les Halles metro and RER station. The mall is clean, modern, and pretty easy to navigate once you get the hang of the floors. Free Wi-Fi and English-speaking staff in most stores make it even better. All in all, Forum des Halles has everything from fashion and sneakers to makeup, tech, chocolate, and home goods. It’s a fun spot to shop or just escape the weather.

Google
I was not very impressed — there are so many places to go shopping in Paris and even with these same stores that I recommend going to another area. It’s surprisingly hot for being underground. The store selection is decent but generally fast fashion (Mango, H&M, Zara). I recommend going sometime when it won’t be super busy (weekday, during work hours) as it gets packed. Westfield has better malls in other cities.

The hours posted are incorrect. They start closing the trial rooms and stop showing items and close the tax refund an HOUR before the posted mall closing time. As you can see in the pictures they are closing the shops at 7pm even though the mall hours say 8PM

Amazing subway station node, with a shopping mall. Reazonable prices. Bring a map with you, is a almost an underground laberint... :-)

Google
Westfield Forum des Halles is a vast shopping and transit hub in central Paris, featuring a wide array of international brands and dining options under its striking canopy roof. While it offers convenience and variety, the bustling atmosphere and crowds may not appeal to everyone. It's ideal for quick shopping trips or accessing major metro lines, but those seeking a more relaxed or unique Parisian shopping experience might prefer alternatives like BHV Marais or boutique-lined streets nearby.

Yelp
What a huge mall underground! There's shop after shop after shop from Zara to H&M. There are restrooms that cost one Euro on the bottom level.

Yelp
Worst mall experience ever. Confusing, hot, swarms of people. Incredibly noisy. Bathrooms were very clean and quiet. But that's it.

Yelp
Located within walking distance of the Louvre, the Westfield Forum is built on the site of the Halls old french fresh market. It is now an indoor mall, mostly underground, with the typical clothing stores found in any mall. It is connected to a busy Metro line, so has easy access from around the city. Decided to stop by before our Louvre tour....ended up not spending that much time since it really isn't that unique. One can try to get wifi by signing up for the Westfield loyalty club, but couldn't get it to work.

Yelp
I haven't visited this shopping center in almost a decade but we came through here and walked around a bit. It was clean and seemed fairly updated. There were the usual stores you would expect, plus a good number of independent boutique shops. Fun place to kill some time. The location itself is above a subway hub, so it's really easy to get to. It is quite a maze to get through. If you're going to the surface, be aware you're taking the right exit. It'll avoid confusion and save you a lot of time. The subway station below is also where you can take RER B to the airport in case you needed to do some last minute shopping.

Yelp
The Forum des Halles has evolved a lot in recent years, and I say this after visiting this place more than 9 years ago. Initially, the general state of that place left something to be desired, but they have managed to make it a beautiful space not only dedicated to shopping. The Forum des Halles is just a few blocks away from the Marais (gay village) or the awesome Georges Pompidou Center and is located above the Chatelet-les-Halles metro station, which makes it a very busy spot. You will find some well-known brands such as Zara, H & M, Comptoirs des Cotonniers, Promod, Etam, Monoprix and the Fnac. I recommend this place if you're in an affordable shopping mood while visiting the heart of Paris!

Yelp
One of the best and largest shopping centres in France, it is modern in the Les Halles area (previously Paris' central fresh food market until demolished in 1971) I like the square and overall shopping centre, the fact it is built mainly underground and links into Paris' transport network is also impressive while still retaining phone good signal, it is modern and rather impressive. I didn't like the entrance into the shopping centre, there was only one lift working which seemed like I was entering a metro station, it smelt a little funny and wasn't clean, going from there into the shopping centre felt like night and day. It has impressive sculpture throughout and they are currently doing a lot to help keep shoppers safe such as by enforcing a one-way system. The mall security seemed friendly and happy to point me in the right direction of a nice Starbucks store. The whole area has been transformed really well, I do feel the current listing on Yelp is a little unfair as it seems to include Les Halles as an area as a whole, rather than Westfield here who deserve credit for rescuing a hole in the ground. If you're looking for somewhere indoors to shop in Paris, this is the place for you, while this is far from the best or biggest mall's I've been too, there's just something about this place I really like and it could just be my favourite shopping centre which doesn't have an Apple Store.

Yelp
Good selection of stores and shops that is located in a busy area. They have your regulars such as Zara and Nike and H & M but you also find some unique boutiques. You can spend an afternoon walking around as it is quite large and you can also find a place for a treat if your so inclined. Overall just an average shopping mall that gets crowded with a good selection of shops and food.

Yelp
It used to be an outdoor market now a shopping mall with subway station. A large Lego store on the ground floor. I like the furniture store the 'Maisons Du Monde' . Chained coffee shop 'Paul' is also good too.

Yelp
I've heard people describe this place as hole in the ground, it is a very apt description - considering the following factors - they are right now under very massive renovation and the fact that it currently is sitting on top of a major hub of transportation for the Paris Metro/RER lines. - Think the underbelly of Union Station in Toronto, only bigger & dirtier and without the old building train station feel. Most of the retail stores are mainstream, like H&M and FNAC, so in other words nothing to write home about. There is a nice furniture store on one of the upper levels; but I find that street browsing at the stores that don't belong to the Mall at street level are much more intriguing and much more lively

Yelp
This shopping center is completely under construction right now, so many of the stores are closed or hard to get to. It was hard to navigate around this shopping center because there was no standard walking path. It seemed to branch out in every direction. It has all the standard stores like H&M and other chain stores. Nothing special as far as I'm concerned.

Yelp
Little by little, a better place is emerging from the construction here. It's nicer inside every time I go, EXCEPT that is like a rathole outside, with low-lifes smoking like chimneys and cigarette butts crushed out all over the place. They need to make entering a more pleasant entry experience. It's just not nice to have to hold your nose and step over people blocking the steps to get in.

Yelp
Underground mall that connects the metro -- reminds me of Asian underground shopping centers, actually. Has a # of H&M-style stores (I believe there's a Zara too) and food, your obligatory Starbucks in the center. Something to make note of is that you must pay (1Euro at the time of my visit) to use the "public restrooms" and they really are not that clean.

Yelp
We came across this centre one day when it was raining and were looking for somewhere to shelter. Part of it is below ground on two levels. A vast array of stores from chic dress shops to gastronomic delights. Above ground there are pergolas and gardens. and metal and glass houses which house art and poetry.

Yelp
Les Halles is a shopping centre that is centrally located near Chatalet and Hotel de Ville. The centre is much bigger than you would imagine, it is underground and has a UGC cinema. The range of shops is good with a food places near the cinema. I think that Les Halles is a nice alternative if you want to do some shopping and the weather is bad however I can't see why you would go to a generic shopping centre when Paris is outside. In addition in comparison to the centre at La Defense, I prefer La defense as it is much larger.

Cityvox User (trendy…)

Yelp
better than you think Forum des halles is better than you think - very centrally located the range of shops is pretty good and very convenient - if you can avoid getting lost ... a huge Fnac, Zara, Gap, Muji, Habitat, Sephora, Esprit, DPAM, Apache, Pier Import, Agatha, Pimkie, Nature et Découvertes, Darty, Jennyfer, Go Sport, Giacomelli Sport .... plus some trendy boutiques with new designers like Xuly Bett.
