The resort is conveniently located directly in the middle of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The inside of the rooms feel kind of dated, and our specifically only had a window in the bedroom which was the only source of natural light. But it did have a washer/dryer, fridge, fireplace, dishwasher, stove, and microwave. The cutlery was dull and barely could cut tomates for sandwiches. The washer dryer takes 3 hours for 1 full cycle AND it locks until it's complete. You can't even turn it off to get you items out so it HAS TO COMPLETE THE ENTIRE CYCLE. Their dinner plates provided don't even fit in their own dishwasher, they cause the yop rack to get stuck. And the tv has no streaming just a select few channels you can view that you need to click to with the channel button you can type in the number. The shower you need to yank both the temperature guage and shower setting knob out as hard as possible to get it to turn on. The parking situation was less than ideal. We have an infant and therefore we have a lot of items we need for him (stroller, diaper bag, pack and play, baby carrier, packs of diapers, formula, etc.) Our room was near the top of the mountain and we had to drive up all these winding roads. But the annoying part was our specific building where our room was only had 1 row of parking in the very front (most of which are handicap parking). The spots were always filled. The next "row" of parking in the very front of our building (where all the entrances are to the rooms) is down a set of stairs, and those were also always filled. So we ended up having to park all the way in front of another building around the corner and then walk all the way around with our infant and his belongings. Lastly, the "convience store" near the lobby and 1 of the only 2 restaurants on the premises is pricey. I'm talking $11.99 for mayonnaise pricey. They'll also try to talk you into going to a timeshare presentation for free tickets or cash, which we passed on. For these reasons, I don't know if I'd choose to stay here again. Normally we get a cabin, airbnb, or stay at a Dollywood resort which far exceeds these resort in amenities, hospitality, convenience, atmosphere, rooms, and things to do in my opinion. We even got Splash Country tickets from Dollywood Dream More free with no timeshare presentation necessary.
