How Hotels Are Fixing the Most Annoying Room Issues - AFAR

"At Westgate Smokey Mountain Resort in Gatlinburg, I noticed upgraded connecting-room doors built with high Sound Transmission Class–rated materials to minimize sound bleed, and the team has increased USB-A and USB-C ports at nightstands, desks, and kitchen areas while working to replace slat blinds with blackout curtains for better light control." - Bailey Berg

Had an absolutely fabulous time at the Westgate Smokey Mountain Resort and Waterpark. My husband and I and my daughter, son in law and 10 month old grandson stayed in 2 connecting 1 bedroom units that were such a perfect set up and very accommodating. We were in building 160 and had the most amazing views. One morning we had a visit from a cute bear just below our balcony. What an awesome surprise. Check in was very crowded but moved quickly. I can’t say enough about the staff, they go above and beyond to welcome you and always greet you with a smile. Shuttle service was always available. Never had to wait long at all. We had breakfast twice and dinner once at the Southern Comfort restaurant, food was delicious and servers were very attentive. We never were approached by any timeshare people so that was not an issue. So, a big thank you to all the wonderful staff at Westgate resort for helping us make some of the best memories. I miss you already and can’t wait to come and visit again.

We stayed as a couple and it was amazing. The units are beautiful and well equipped. The beds are comfortable. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The amenities are great. We utilized the pools and hot tub. We went to the indoor water park on a cloudy and rainy day. It was so much fun even as an adult. We ate at Southern Comfort for dinner. The food was delicious. The units and parking lots are on slopes so it might be challenging for those with mobility issues. We highly recommend and will be going back again!

Don't assume just because you may trade in thru Interval International that you are getting a fair trade. Just because We weren't Westgate members we were not able to get the room we were told. Got stuck in a dark no window no balcony bedroom. Waited 45 minutes to ck in. Were told if we had a complaint take it up with Interval. Cost $35 for water park even if you just sit there to watch grandchildren. Very expensive. Shuttles are great to town. Restraunt is amazing. When we tried to talk to staff they were short and biased. Need some fanese training their negative opinions just because we weren't a Westgate members was uncalled for After 35 year members off time share this was the rudest experience.

I went in not knowing exactly what to expect because my husband set everything up, but these ladies showed up and showed all the way out. Chelsea and Heather are extremely gifted at what they do. If you ever are blessed enough to be able to get up this beautiful mountain, you should most definitely stop by and check them out it's well worth it...... I PROMISE!!!! #FEELING RELAXED AND BEAUTIFUL 😍

I will preface this by saying that my parents are timeshare holders, but through Welk Resorts, not Westgate. They also went through the entire checking process while we weren’t there yet.||My mom and I have been nervous about this upcoming stay, due to the reviews about pushy and harassing salespeople. However, we had zero experience with any of this. They asked my parents once if they’d like a tour or discount tickets. The declined and that was it! ||We were in Building 160, basically at the top of the mountain near the mountain top pool and bar. We had adjoining rooms A&C. The room was huge! It had a great living and dining area with a big kitchen! It had a master bedroom with a whirlpool tub in the room and a big bathroom with rainfall shower head! Also a 1/2 bathroom off the kitchen. The kitchen is not fully stocked. While there are utensils, pots, pans, etc, there are no basic seasonings, so be prepared to buy those if you plan on cooking! All appliances in our room worked great! Also had a washer & dryer! ||But the best part of the room was the balcony and the view! The view from our room was stunning! Gorgeous Mountain View’s! A bear basically sat next to our porch one day as well!!!||Sadly, my klutzy self tripped over my own shoe and broke my foot the second day there, so I didn’t get to use the pools or mini golf!!! My parents loved the karaoke at the pool bar though lol! ||There is a liquor store right off property when you come in which was super helpful, and they serve coffee in the Marketplace! A Kroger and a Walmart and a Target are all within a 20 minute drive to get supplies and food, which is what we did our first day there. The lobby will accept Amazon packages for you, just in case you break your foot and need a knee scooter to get around! ||The staff is all so friendly and came when we had any issues or needed towels. We had dinner and breakfast at the main restaurant, Southern Comfort. It’s a very nice place and the food was great! We also ordered pizza twice from their onsite Mountain Pizza, which was great too! ||We didn’t use the shuttles or trolleys as we had our own car. Just be careful if you’re high up! Those roads are steep and a bit scary, especially at night! ||Overall we had an amazing week there! Broken foot be darned! Just decline free tickets and sales pitches and enjoy your time there! We would come again in a heartbeat!

We went for a tour of the resort and they were so rude. They didn't fulfill their promise of a free three day vacation and a $150 gift card. We left empty handed. All due to some excuse about the persons responsible for setting up our tour set it up incorrectly. We were so disappointed because we canceled some plans so we could make time for the tour. It was such a waste of our time. They made zero effort to compensate us for their mistake. They made us feel unworthy and unwanted in their resort. It was truly embarrassing and demeaning. The girl who was checking us in for the tour was very nice and tried everything she could to correct the mistake made the the people who set up the tour but everyone else we came in contact with after her just made us feel like we didn't belong or that we were not the type of people they wanted at the resort. They quickly rushed us to the cashier and refunded our 40$ deposit. I tried to see if we could tour anyway because we both were genuinely interested in the beautiful resort but the answer was a quick NO. I asked if the mistake that was made could be corrected and again I got a very quick NO. Then she politely gestured to the door we came in from and told us sorry for the inconvenience and to have a nice day. It felt forced and what's worse was how it made us feel. I have never been so embarrassed. Do better Westgate your reputation is in jeopardy.

The westgate resort in Gatlinburg let our room flood, didn't help us, asked them to cancel our spa appointment due to hours of cleaning up by ourselves after midnight with no assistance and then had the audacity to charge us over 200 dollar for missing our spa appointment after we canceled it hours before the cancelation policy. I have never been so dissappointed with management, being a prior customer service manager myself. I have never felt so belittled as a veteran or service member or even a tenant at a resort. The staff completely got away with not doing their job and makimg notations in the computer after showing them my call logs and them having recorded conversations on the room phone and no reprimand and we had to pay hundreds and lose hours of our vacation. Not to mention it ruined our 8 year anniversary. Future owners beware!!! Not worth it. They don't care.

The resort is conveniently located directly in the middle of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The inside of the rooms feel kind of dated, and our specifically only had a window in the bedroom which was the only source of natural light. But it did have a washer/dryer, fridge, fireplace, dishwasher, stove, and microwave. The cutlery was dull and barely could cut tomates for sandwiches. The washer dryer takes 3 hours for 1 full cycle AND it locks until it's complete. You can't even turn it off to get you items out so it HAS TO COMPLETE THE ENTIRE CYCLE. Their dinner plates provided don't even fit in their own dishwasher, they cause the yop rack to get stuck. And the tv has no streaming just a select few channels you can view that you need to click to with the channel button you can type in the number. The shower you need to yank both the temperature guage and shower setting knob out as hard as possible to get it to turn on. The parking situation was less than ideal. We have an infant and therefore we have a lot of items we need for him (stroller, diaper bag, pack and play, baby carrier, packs of diapers, formula, etc.) Our room was near the top of the mountain and we had to drive up all these winding roads. But the annoying part was our specific building where our room was only had 1 row of parking in the very front (most of which are handicap parking). The spots were always filled. The next "row" of parking in the very front of our building (where all the entrances are to the rooms) is down a set of stairs, and those were also always filled. So we ended up having to park all the way in front of another building around the corner and then walk all the way around with our infant and his belongings. Lastly, the "convience store" near the lobby and 1 of the only 2 restaurants on the premises is pricey. I'm talking $11.99 for mayonnaise pricey. They'll also try to talk you into going to a timeshare presentation for free tickets or cash, which we passed on. For these reasons, I don't know if I'd choose to stay here again. Normally we get a cabin, airbnb, or stay at a Dollywood resort which far exceeds these resort in amenities, hospitality, convenience, atmosphere, rooms, and things to do in my opinion. We even got Splash Country tickets from Dollywood Dream More free with no timeshare presentation necessary.

Yelp
This is a long one but if you want to enjoy your visit please read! I absolutely loved my hotel room and the customer service at reception was amazing. I brought my dog and she loved the space and property, as well. It's one of the nicest hotels in the area, many others are too touristy in my opinion. HOWEVER, I'm finally writing this review because what was a 5-star vacation 4 years ago has been completely tainted still to this day because of their timeshare presentation. When you're checking in, please for the love of all things holy and good in this world, DO NOT TAKE A "90 MINUTE" TOUR!!!! First off, it's not 90 minutes unless you do the tour then buy your timeshare seconds later. If buying a timeshare is not for you and you say you're not interested, your 90-minute tour becomes a 5-hour kidnapping. My tour started at 9am and I didn't leave until 2:45pm when I became a genuine b**** and demanded they let me out of the room they kept us all in. This was not sales tactics, this was just flat out disrespect! The girl who did my tour was sooo sweet and you could tell she was uncomfortable watching 3 different people from her sales team come to the table to basically "show her how it's done" and try to strong arm me into making a purchase. One of the guys even gave the line "you make this purchase and I take you out for dinner tonight" seriously??? Hitting on me to get me to buy something...and in front of my mother!! Then the lady who I'm pretty sure was the manager bringing me cheaper and crappier option after option when I told her 5 times "I'm not interested, let me out!" She even told me "you don't want to leave, today's the best day, the only day to do this. People leave and say they'll come back later and you'll see their names right there on that wall" as she points to a blank wall. Finally after 5 hours, they let me and my mother leave their sales room but made sure to take us out the back emergency exit stairway because god forbid they let you leave out the front door like everyone else who buys something. You're officially nothing to them. Now we come to how they're still making me regret this visit 4 years later. THEY SOLD MY INFORMATION TO A THIRD PARTY COMPANY!!! I get 3-4 calls every single day from a company claiming I have unused benefits that were the exact benefits Westgate's people told me I would've gotten had I purchased a timeshare. I've told the callers I never signed up for anything and they tell me "yes, someone did so on your behalf when you visited a vacation timeshare tour". I've asked to be removed from their lists and sick of being bothered but "the only way to be removed from our list is to use your benefit" and the only way to use my benefit is to buy a timeshare. Honestly, the treatment I experienced that day along with how annoying it is to get these calls 20 times a week for years has me wanting to sue them for harassment. If you stay here, only stay at the hotel and tell the timeshare people to shove it when they hover over you as you check in. Honestly that's the only reason I even took the tour. They wouldn't leave me alone as I checked in and that should've been my first red flag!

Yelp
The stay at this resort was something my family and I had been looking forward to for months. We were put up in their rooms located off of River Rd. Which I later found out is where they put all the people who they sign up for this presentation. When we arrived in the room we immediately noticed problems. What problems you might say? We'll how about a broken door knob that made it difficult to enter the room, a chain on the door that made it difficult to secure the room at night, a shower curtain that had both blood and mold stains and dirt located in a back corner near the bed as if no one had cleaned back there. We reported it and nothing changed. Oh except the shower curtain, which they brought to us for us to put up for them. The second shower curtain was also stained with mold, but lucky for us no blood. Also, watch out if you go outside because the sliding glass door automatically will lock if you shut the door on your way out. This leaves your stuck on the balcony. Part of the deal for staying there was to attend their presentation at their main resort. We did as planned and when we got there we were informed our time didn't start until after the free breakfast. A 90 minute presentation ended up taking 2.5 hours. The person making the presentation was great! So friendly, understanding and he knew that we were not happy before we even got there (from the room issues). However, prepare yourself if you run into Cameron. I am not sure his role within management, but he was rude and acted like a toddler when we said no thanks. He slammed the papers down and stormed off. Even if I happen to be on the fence at that moment I would have said no thank you following his behavior. I can guarantee you I will never look into staying at a Westgate property ever again.

Yelp
I stayed here with a group of friends for a week, and while the scenery is absolutely gorgeous, the actual resort is disappointing. The check-in process was very smooth, and our concierge showed us to our room. The resort is gigantic and the steepness of the roads made it almost impossible to walk to the top, so the shuttle service was very convenient. I also love that the Gatlinburg trolley stops right in front of the lobby. When we entered our room, everything looked nice, but we quickly realized how dirty and understocked the rooms are. We found cereal in one of the sofa beds, a mattress covered in hair from previous guests, mysterious gray sludge on the dining table, and a dirty dusty floor. The room also did not come stocked with bedding for the sofa beds, and we did not have enough towels for the number of people staying in the room. Each bathroom only came with one bar of soap and one bottle of shampoo and conditioner. Since there was no housekeeping during our stay, we knew we would have to call and request extra. We called the front desk to request bedding, more towels, and more toiletries. We were on hold with the front desk for over 45 minutes, and once we told them our request, it took an hour and a half for everything to be delivered. We tried to call back and see if we could drive to the lobby to pick everything up ourselves, and we were told that it was not possible, as they store everything in a warehouse not accessible by guests. We decided to head to the pool after everything was delivered, and we did not bring towels with us, as most hotels provide towels at the pool. They did have empty shelves at the pool labeled as "clean towels", but we found out from asking other guests that they were always empty. We tried calling the front desk the next day to ask for some pool towels, since our room did not come with any, and we were on hold for over an hour. It took two hours after speaking to the front desk for the towels to arrive in our room. The hot tub closest to the lobby was not well-kept, with several chunks of the stairs being broken off. The jets were also so strong that you could not hear one-another in the hot tub when they were on. We tried reaching out to our concierge about our issues, but they stopped responding after our friends declined to buy into the timeshare during the fourth day of our visit. None of us slept well during this trip, as the beds and pillows were extremely uncomfortable. Our dishwasher also could not open all the way since the handles for the cabinet underneath the sink blocked the dishwasher door from opening. Overall, this property is gorgeous, but the rooms are dirty, and the service is bad. If you do not buy into the timeshare, expect that they will not help you with any issues that may arise. The prices are very cheap if you are willing to sit through the presentation, but do not expect a luxury resort.

B F.

Yelp
Do not go to the timeshare presentation, they lock you in this tortuous meeting trying to sell you crap you already have and then proceed to lie over and over and over about how they want you to market for them for "fake maintenance fee payments" don't fall for it. You'll never get that 3.5 hours of your life back. Just skip the presentation!!! Go to Dennys and get a real breakfast for $20. You're not saving any money! Also you can buy a timeshare for this property on Google for zero dollars.

Yelp
* The shower has a rainshower head and a normal one. Unfortunately, when you use the normal one, the rainshower drips cold water, so u can't enjoy your shower. * The TV cable is terrible. The pictures messes up to where you can no longer make out anything, and the sound goes out. * The on-site shuttle is horrible! The shuttle is supposed to take 15-20 min, but we never waited less than 45 min and ended up having to call the front desk for them to send the shuttle every time. Once we waited over an hour and just gave up. * The food at the Southern Comfort restaurant had no taste. Well at least the ribs and Mac n cheese didn't. This is a large resort with lots of buildings spread out and there's only 1 small gym. They need another gym to accommodate everyone and in another location

Cary W.

Yelp
This was suppose to be a 90 minute presentation-it was FIVE hours. They would not take No for an answer. They would not let us leave. This business has many complaints against the for misleading sales tactics and also taking advantage of veterans. DO NOT WASTE YOUR VALUABLE TIME. I almost called 911 because they wouldn't let us leave

Yelp
Everything was great! Not sure how others had such a hard time? They didn't bother me at all about upgrading my time Share? I was in a newly refurbished unit and there was lots of construction going on but it didn't bother us as we were gone during the day and the workers were courteous! We took my one year old grandson to the water park one day and it was fun. Hardly anyone there so we had it to ourselves. Bought some Cute souvenirs in the shop and some food. Coffee was good. We also ate at southern comfort! It was good and big portions we were stuffed. The carpenter bees are out right now to mate so have to be cautious of them. The play yard was also fun. We enjoyed our stay. Super easy and great location!!!

Yelp
There really is a must to say every time I go here I am in all in so much at peace. I just love the resort. I love the grounds and I just love looking at the mountains at night and in the daytime.

Yelp
When travelling to the Smokey Mountains, I wanted the whole experience of the Smokey's. Westgate was the perfect place to get that experience and so much more. Booking was easy, especially when doing so through a vacation bundle third party company. Arriving at the resort on a Saturday at 4pm was a NIGHTMARE. The place is beautifully decorated with a lot of confusing signage. We looped around the check in area several times without being able to park or know where we were going. We finally drove around and a staff member at gate guided and showed us an alternative place to park due to the lack of parking spaces. I finally made my way to customer service/check in area. It is located in a large room with many check in/customer service stations, also it seemed like a common room to hang out with a nice bar. Again, beautiful place, a bit overwhelming with all that was going on at once, which made it all so hard to listen in and focus on checking in. I waited in the line for approximately 10 to 15 minutes before I reached a customer service rep. I provided my information and while the staff member was having technical difficulties setting up our room keys, I could overhear some of the details given to the couple that was checking in at the nearest station, none of which were shared with me by my staff member that was helping me. Once the key cards were finally ready, I request a map since one wasn't provided and was rushed to someone else on the other side of the room. She was a bit more helpful and provided more information about the resort, marked my map with the location of our cabin and give a few tips about places we should check out during our stay as well as operation times of pools and other activities. I knew there was a water park in the resort and figured it was included with the reservations and my family was looking forward to using at least once during our stay. I asked if I needed anything other than our key cards to enter and found out that it comes with an extra charge that I could have added while checking in. She mentioned that she could make a deal with me and provide us with "free" tickets for one day, if we agreed to have a "preview of the resort". I figured it wouldn't hurt, so agreed and scheduled it for the next morning, but for scheduling purposes would had to provide a $40 deposit which would be refunded after the breakfast meeting. Later during the day, I found out this preview is part of a shares investment pitch and decided to cancel since we're not interested in becoming partners or buying shares, etc. So be aware of these breakfast meetings and do your homework before signing up for things around here. Lol. Once you cancel, they will give you the hardest time to refund you your "refundable" deposit. Finding our cabin was easy, once we had a map. Our cabin was a spacious and beautiful one bedroom suite with king size bed and a hot tub located in the bedroom, 1.5 bathrooms, a large living room and dinning room area. The sofa converts into a queen size bed right next to sliding doors that lead to a balcony with a beautiful view of the mountains. The kitchen was fully equipped with pots, pans, dishes, glasses, and utensils. As far as appliances goes, the kitchen was equipped with a full refrigerator, microwave, oven/stove, toaster, coffee maker, blender, and a washer/dryer. We made use of most of the appliances during our stay and didn't have any problems. The only thing I was very disappointed about was the hot tub in our room. We filled it up several times and so much dirt would washout after turning the jets on. Finally on our last night, we took the time to remove and clean each spout/breather and got it to work properly for a while. We had breakfast at the Southern Comfort restaurant and we're very pleased with the food and service. We also had a chance to visit their marketplace and found they carry almost everything you'll need during your stay (a little pricey but worth it). We also walked to the top of the hill and enjoyed their mini golf course and admired the pool, it was a little cold to actually get in the pool, in my opinion. Regardless, it was a nice size pool and seemed to be clean. There's also a bar near the pool at the mountain top. The resort also has free transportation with many stops throughout the resort and the Gatlinburg's city trolley has a stop in front of the resort,in case you're venturing out to explore, free services. Overall we had a great time exploring the resort and enjoying it's natural beauty. I would have planned for other amenities if I knew they were available with more time.

Yelp
While the resorts is nice their aggressive selling tactic is overwhelming. Ruins the vacation, very pushy.

Madi P.

Yelp
This water park was average. There was a toddler splash area that was warm. The playground area with a water dump bucket was freezing cold. There were two hot tubs that were above warm, but not hot. There is a large tube slide and a body slide. There is a lazy river that is warmish and a pool that has basketball in it. It looked as though they were doing quite a bit of renovations. Towels are available free of charge. There are lockers for rent and food and drinks for purchase. There are locker rooms, but no changing stalls- only toilets and one tiny shower. Also, apparently even though it's indoors, if there is thunder they shut down. It is significantly cheaper than the other indoor waterparks in the area. We bought day passes for $35 for adults and $25 for kid. Our 9 year old had a great time- the rest of us not as much. We probably wouldn't come back here again.

Patty S.

Yelp
We have been coming since 2002 and it is still our favorite vacation! It is beautiful, and quiet. Staff are friendly and the people that stay here are usually friendly.

Yelp
We stayed in building 173 room 21a it was absolutely incredible! Yes this is a time share property, but when they told us about the 9am breakfast we just passed and no biggie. The waterpark is very small, but decent. Staff was super friendly, dinner at the restaurant located in hotel was ok, and rooms were clean. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Our first impression at the Westgate was awful. We arrived around 7pm on Thanksgiving Day, ready to check in. We are a biracial couple. The receptionist (Angela or Andrea) was super nice to me but totally ignored my husband. She wouldn't even look at him. He asked questions - she ignored him and answered me instead. He tried to get her attention, but instead of even giving him as much as a glance, she continued to ignore him completely. It was clear that she didn't want to talk to an African American man. As far as the resort: Buildings are basically on top of each other. Parking is very narrow. Especially when having a bigger car. There is little to no green space between buildings. The developer is squeezing buildings in wherever there is a bit of space. We went on top of the resort's mountain, more buildings are being build up there as well, leaving no woods or any nature remaining. Cabin apartment: The cabin apartments are spacious with outdated furniture. Our living room had a large first generation flat screen that sounded very muffled. We tried to watch a movie but it was hard to understand since it sounded like being under water. Fireplace was not working right either and only gave our a little blue flame. Our kitchen was equipped nicely- no complaints there. Bathrooms: I liked the walk in showers with rain shower head but hates how cool the water actually was. It didn't get hot- just warm. Our cabin apartment had a jet tub - but it was nearly impossible to use it since it only filled up half way with warm water and then turning cold. Bedroom: The bed was comfortable but the pillows where pure horror! Old and lumpy, hard like a rock, giving you a headache. We went to Walmart the next day and purchased our own. Washer & Dryer: One washer & dryer shared between 6 apartments. Washer runs for over an hour for one cycle, dryer doesn't actually dry and leaves your laundry clammy wet. We heard other families complaining about it as well. Convenient store: Nice but overpriced store on the resort- but good for last minute shopping. Gas station prices. Has Starbucks - but doesn't accept the Starbucks pay app... Time share tour: We had to attend a presentation.. they try all kind of sales tactics - first getting to know you - "I am your friend", being surprised if you are a service member and pulling an "amazing" deal out of their sleeves.. and becoming very! pushy if you say no. They keep you there for at least 4 hours... trying desperately to seal a deal. Waterpark and Zipline. The waterpark looks nice - especially when visiting with your little ones. Don't expect too much out of zip lining. It's maybe 100 feet long and is more of a zippy line... We expressed our concerns about the check in experience and apartment at the presentation but we doubt that anything comes out of it. I don't think I would go back to the Westgate. There are better places to stay in the area.

Yelp
Could improve on how you treat owners. Seems the only people that get treated with respect are guest who haven't bought into the resort. If you are an owner and are no longer making any type of upgrade they do not care about how your stay goes or how you are taken care of. This last visit was the WORST! Went to the front office more times than I'd like to say. The phones did not work the entire stay. Never got fixed! The WiFi didn't work the entire stay, was promised they'd bring a new router. Never did! Was infested with stink bugs in the room. The room was filthy, floor were black, there was hair everywhere, cigarette and cigar butts left on balcony. Asked for them to come clean the condo. Never came and cleaned! Tv volume got stuck on high and wouldn't turn down, had to unplug tv. Sent maintenance up after 9. When told the maintenance guy he wasn't coming in that late that our baby was sleeping, he forced himself through and was slamming his things around. Absolutely disgusting and disrespectful. No help whatsoever, rude and disgusting! The office never did what they said they were going to do. We called owner support number they just said "Sorry"! After all the money spent on buying into this POS place. The stay before our concierge was so accommodating until we said we weren't interested in upgrading anymore then he became unavailable and when we would ask for his help he wouldn't respond or would say he wasn't available. People do not buy into Westgate they care until they get your money.

Yelp
This resort is truly life changing. I have been here a lot and it never gets old. They have a very well run facility. They have multiple pools and a nice mini golf course.

Yelp
We were gifted a week here after my husband and I got married. We were so excited and ready to relax and enjoy Gatlinburg. When we first checked in we were asked what dinner and shows we were looking into and was told they can give us tickets at a discount and told us all the tickets are VIP. Little did we know this entailed going to a meeting 2 days after we arrived with a $50 deposit. None of our tickets were VIP. When we arrived to our room, at first glance it was nice. However after walking around, attention to detail when cleaning can definitely be improved. For example there was dirt on the light switches. The room did not smell fresh and clean. The sheets and towels smelled musty- I went to Walmart and bought my own laundry soap and bleach and rewashed everything. When we turned on the TV - they give you maybe 20 channels and half of them are in Spanish. So, on that Walmart trip we bought a Roku just so we can enjoy something in the room. The day of the "meeting" we let them know we have an appointment at 12pm at the spa which we were promised we would be out before then. The concierge people are relentless and even brought out foreclosure units just so they can get a sale. My husband and I both expressed we just had a big wedding and are unable to make a purchase like this right now multiple times and multiple people came to us trying to get a sale. We were late to our appointment and had to reschedule. A corporate representative who stated she has been with the company for 32 years came over to try to get a sale from us and she was so unprofessional to the concierge employee and belittling him. The day we were checking out-As soon as I opened the door to load the car there was a huge bag of towels blocking the way of me leaving. We had 2 housekeepers literally waiting at the door while we were loading bags in the car and even tried to come in at one point and we expressed we had more things to get. It was so uncomfortable I even left with my slippers on. Check out is at 10AM and this was a little before 9AM. We were there for 5 days and were wondering where all these shuttles were going and coming. We were never told there was shuttling services if we would like to go down to the lobby, restaurant, waterpark, etc. They offered us a great deal for a vacation and it was affordable, however, after staying here I will never stay at another Westgate again and much rather pay more somewhere else then return. We are not picky visitors, don't complain when we stay somewhere. But, I needed to come on here and share our experience to hopefully help someone out.

Yelp
We went in for a tour after we were told we would get discounted tickets for Anakeesta. The dude was clearly on something. He was super fidgety. We turned down the timeshare that they were trying to sell, and we got cussed at. We were told it would be 90 minutes. 3 hours after, we got "escorted" out and told we were a waste of time. Not only did we loose out on hours of our vacation time, but we got treated like garbage for not wanting to commit to a timeshare. 0 stars.

Yelp
The reason why it gets 2 stars is because of the gorgeous views, but besides that, there's so many things wrong. The rooms we were given was so dirty, the drains were clogged, bed was beyond uncomfortable, and the walls super thin. Housekeeping was non existent. The only reason we got new towels was because of our tour host dropped off bags outside our room. Fire pit- signs stated no food. Why have a fire pit that doesn't allow roasting marshmallows. Did I see people do it, yes, but I tend to follow rules and didn't. My kids were quite disappointed . We also did the tour and found out everything used was Styrofoam! For a company that stated they give so much and protect environment, you would.think they would start in house. Waterpark- closed half the time because of thunder. It's indoors!! I don't understand why you're closed. I would never be coming back to this resort

Yelp
It was ok. Waterpark closed reallly early. Parking was AWFUL. Customer service was ok. 2 hour timeshare talk....5.5 hours later....

Yelp
I want to start by saying we are Elite owners through the Westgate Branson Woods Resort and we love this resort and our concierge. We had always heard Gatlinburg was a wonderful resort and we really needed to check it out, we did and we were not impressed at all. Yes the mountains are beautiful. The entrance to the resort is hard to get into when it's busy season since traffic is crazy. As far as the rooms or units conditions they get a 5 out of 10. The pictures are of long dark hair that was left in the shower we are gray and blonde. The dryer had lots of mouse poop in it. My white sock got thrown away since they got so dirty wearing them around the unit. We didn't use any of the amenities but did receive text often that certain pools and restaurants would be closed for some reason that they would state. Then when it came time for our "Owners Meeting" they said to make sure we understood how everything worked with trading out some of our weeks etc. . Our concierge at this resort was Michael Mitchell. We told him from the start that we Were Not switching resorts or concierges. So they had a " wonderful deal" for us at our 90 min meeting (hahahaha) so we agreed to upgrade as long as they agreed to keeping Branson Woods our home resort and Courtney our concierge. So when we went to Branson a couple of weeks later and to our surprise when we had our concierge check what we had done sure enough the sales team at the Gatlinburg Westgate Smokey Mountain Resort had changed our concierge to them. So just beware they are liars!!! And then won't return any calls! Don't stay here

Yelp
At the beginning of presentation CJ said if it doesn't fit into our budget then we were done. We declined, Emily sat done presented some other offers we declined numerous times, I got irritated I said no. I'm going to get my grandkids at Kid Zone. Apparently Emily came back again tried again and my husband had a few choice words. She stood up and yelled at him. You had no intention in buying , you just wanted the free gifts. CJ was great, Emily needs to listen and pay attention to her audience.

Yelp
This resort is something special in the smokies. Just a few minutes drive away from downtown pigeon forge there is lots of things to do in the resort and out. There is lots of pools and special events like bbq all the time. Scenery is very beautiful and waterpark is a blast. Restaurant is pretty good also and they hand out free popcorn at the door :D. They used to have a zip line but they're putting up a bigger and better one in a few months. There is also mini golf at the top of the mountain which is mediocre, there's lots of mini golf in pigeon forge that is better. Best resort in the area, definitely recommend

Tyler C.

Yelp
This place is horrible. We were out playing mini golf and had our dog and all our stuff in our room. They came in and left the door wide open while they were spraying bleach on the whole exterior of cabin. We start packing our stuff up to leave and had our dog walk through all the bleach they had sprayed on the property. Our favorite and best thing yet is while we were loading up they continue to spray bleach knowing we were there and even sprayed us directly with bleach and all over the side of the car.

Yelp
This place definitely comes off as grand, fun and luxurious but they really are lacking a lot of what I consider very common and necessary amenities. First off, no ice machines, honestly not a big deal but when you request ice and never get it...kind of a bigger deal. We went to the pool first night we were there and some bratty kids stole our pool towels, again, not a big deal, however they do not provide pool towels at the pool and so the next day I drove all the way down from building 7000 to get towels and was told that they don't have them there that they'd have them brought to our room, long story short after attempting to get towels all day long we never received them and therefore never got to go back to the pool because we didn't have any pool towels and didn't want to use our bathroom towels in fear of losing those as well and then just being completely out of towels for the whole trip, on top of that, the bathrooms at the pool were closed, which was extremely inconvenient. Location was nice, rooms were actually nice as well but customer service and amenities definitely need approving on, the waterpark itself is very outdated and I can't imagine how it would be fun for anyone over five years old.

Yelp
Terrible experience with timeshare meeting. I would avoid it at all cost. The manager was so rude and condescending. He was rude to the point I started crying and we left with nothing. The gifts aren't worth being treated this way. We were there for almost 3 hours which was only supposed to be 90mins. They wasted me and my boys time on vacation promised gifts we never got bc they wouldn't end the presentation even after multiple times me saying we can't afford it. The manager started getting nasty to the point where he said" well I grew up in a trailer, lived off of government funding and went on vacation only once as a child so you should be happy you guys go on cruise". Then he got up and rudely walked away. He also made statements like "you aren't going to listen bc you don't want it". I told them several times I can't afford to pay 1400 a month for a time share that doesn't even count maintenance fees. He has no idea how we grew up or what we have gone through so he shouldn't speak like that to another human being. It was horrible!

Peggy P.

Yelp
This is a tourist trap The view is spectacular but the add on was unbelievable resort fees over $1600. 00 and if you are not an owner $35.00 per person for the pool

Yelp
I was liking the resort until I went for a presentation. The presentation turned into 5 hours and the young guy who did the presentation was whining and throwing a fit. It is disgusting and such a turn-off. It is definitely secure with the guards, you get a parking pass to leave on your dashboard if you're passing the gates to the cabins. The hills are crazy, when you park, be prepared to almost fall back when exiting your vehicle. What an experience. The indoor water park is nice for a family with small kids, there is nothing crazy here like what you will find at Great Wolf waterpark. I didn't get to use the pool at the top of the mountain but it is an incredible view. I was sad we were not able to try the zipline because of the presentation being WAY TO LONG. I loved the atmosphere of the rooms with all the bear and nature decor. The bed was comfortable, with no backache or pain. The bathroom setup was a bit awkward and tight for us. I almost hurt my husband when he was at the sink as I opened the door. Bring your own shampoo and conditioner because their supply will make your body sad. Overall the room is kind of dark. I usually left my terrace door open when cooking and also for some kind of light. Kinda felt like I was in a dungeon. Also, I escaped home so I could find solace somewhere quiet because my upstairs neighbors are giving me headaches with their stomping but all I heard in my resort bed were my resort neighbors stomping. Oh my geeeezus my soul died. The location is conveniently between Pigeon Forge and downtown Gatlinburg. Traffic is horrendous, if you're coming down from Pigeon Forge, be prepared to wait forever to make that left turn into the resort. You can also conveniently park for free at their downtown sister resort, River Terrace. One thing that happened while we were sleeping,m at 6 AM our smoke alarm went off and we had a heart attack. I thought we forgot to turn off our stove but it wasn't our stove. Our neighbors ran out also and we thought there was a fire in our cabin somewhere. I thought it was carbon monoxide or something and that we were going to die in the smoky mountains. I called the front desk and an inspector came in and checked everything. Nothing triggered the alarm as everything was off. Uncool. I would give this place 2.5 stars but because I can't give half a star, I have downgraded to 2. Why? Would I come back? No, because I have such a distasteful memory of the salesman. I'm still pissed about that to this day. Please management, tell your sales people to NOT WHINE and act like a CHILD by throwing tantrums and begging us to buy. All I remember is that its a red haired guy in his early 20s with a pit bull because I was sharing in the love of pits. That is 5 hours of my life I will never get back. When I hear the Westgate name, I just think of the sales guy. STOP those tactics, they do not work and perhaps he should consider changing jobs if he can't accept NO for an answer

Yelp
I've owned time share for over half my life. I've owned westgate for 10 years. The service at this location was the best I've had. The give you a conossieur who assist in your needs and ours was named Nick. He was awesome!.He was a text away to meet all our needs and we kept him busy. Our condo was beautuful, high on top of the mountain with great views. Westgate Smokey has great amenities like a indoor water park and 3 heated pools, miniature golf and a zipline on property. They offer activities daily from painting, bingo to tours, something for everyone. Nice shuttle service up and down their mountain. They are very Covid active and we always felt safe on property. They have a back road for owners and that saved us so much travel time. Kudos to Mr Siegal for that!

Yelp
Heated pool? Need I say more? No but I will. The staff here is EXTRAORDINARY. They are the nicest most welcoming people I have ever met. Westgate is conveniently located close to Gatlinburg but right outside of it so it's secluded enough to feel like you're truly getting away from city life (I'm from Chicago) You can get to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge & trails in the mountains easy. So many amenities here as well (archery, indoor water park, guided hikes, tie dye, parrot experience etc)

Yelp
NEVER AGAIN. We paid for a full week, and ended up leaving after five days. This resort cares about one thing and one thing only, timeshares. If you are a guest, they want to sell you one. If you already own they want you to upgrade. Our room situation was a disaster and we asked to move... the Conceirge assigned to us literally said "Management is the only one who can switch your room, and they are too busy to see you. There are 1100 guest on property and they don't have time for you." As you can imagine, I hung the phone up, went straight to the front desk, and handled this with management myself. They did switch our room, and assigned us a new concierge. But that concierge was only concerned with selling us some thing as well. We were there as "owners" because we bought someone's week, so the water park is included. HOWEVER after spending $400 on groceries for our room that had a full kitchen, we were told we couldn't take anything in to the park! The park is hot inside and the chairs are insanely uncomfortable. The water is disgusting and my kids constantly had what looked like mud on their suits and towels. I could not wait to get the hell out of there and I will make it my mission to ensure that no one I know or loves wastes their money on this hole they like to call a resort. Unless you have $50K-$80K burning a hole in your pocket stay away.

Yelp
Bait and switch for their time share tour "qualifications." I got a special manager approval to attend the timeshare tour got a special pricing only to be told I don't qualify. I had to spend an hour on the phone with corporate so they could listen to my phone call to make sure I didn't lie to qualify. I'm now currently standing in the timeshare area waiting to speak to the sales manager to make sure he reads the notes and doesn't charge me the regular rate for this place. Over 2 hours in total this has taken out of our morning. The staff that checked me in were also not friendly at all. Didn't welcome us, just a, "what's your last nane?" While looking down and when I tried to ask questions she said all the info I needed would be in the packet she gave us. They even charge you to go to the water park here. What a joke. Don't bother with this place.

Yelp
Loved our birthday / anniversary getaway! Kids had a blast. The rooms were spotless. I was not worried about my kids running around barefoot at all. Had plenty of towels and extra bedding in the closet. Thank you WR!!

Yelp
This is to follow up up the first review RE: Westgate properties in Gatlinburg. Customer Care reached out and asked us to respond and leave our email and or our phone number. On the same day my wife and I responded back with the information they requested. It's now going on a week later and NO response from Customer Care. I'm telling you, the whole thing (Westgate) from top to bottom is at best a joke. They talk a big game but they really don't care about you, the guest. As proff of there lack of concern and follow thru. Our advice... stay away. There are many other really nice places to stay in the Gatlinburg/ Pigeon Forge area.

Yelp
We've been here multiple times for the views and Smokies. It's been more and more filthy, hotel staff is dismissive. Nonstick pots and pans were badly scratched, it took them 2 days and 4 tries to bring up new ones. My food delivery from the hotel was missing items. I had to go down the mountain to get it myself, as they were "not allowed" to bring it up to me. So I need to inconvenience myself to correct a mistake they made. When I complained to the hotel, I was made to feel as if I'm the problem. I never did get connected to the manager by phone. Location is great, but it seems that they don't have enough staff to handle the customers and their service is bad at times. Kitchen gear is beyond cheap. We own with Marriott and we always have great customer service and clean rooms. Marriott gut renovates their rooms every 5 yrs. Marriott would've never told me to make efforts to correct their mistakes. Westgate needs to learn some customer service from Marriott.

Yelp
My wife has been on the phone with the reservation/sales people for over an hour. They called to change the terms of the sales job that they did the night before. They refuse to let her speak to a supervisor. They say a supervisor is not available. They repeatedly put her on hold. We've requested a refund. They aren't cooperating. Everybody we talk with must have English as a second language. They are very hard to understand. This doesn't look very good.

Gerald H.

Yelp
We reserved a 4 day 3 night stay. The room was a Villa Room. When we got there we registered and went to the room. Went back to the Hotel registration. They said that they could not do anything about it, because we did the registration online. Called the customer care number four times. Finally got a corporate returned the call, left a voice voicemail. It was their mistake, they are going to issue a credit. It was only $50. When I made the reservation I told the rep on the phone that need to have a tub for the bath. The lady said to get the Villa. The Studio toons only had showers. My wife has a knee issue and has to take a tub bath

Yelp
My family and I just came from Atlanta to visit the Smokey Mountains on a trip we received from Westgate. It was supposed to be my birthday gift, but unfortunately, shifted into nothing, but hell due to Westgate. When we arrived at the front desk the lady at the presentation gigantic desk didn't understand my wife and for some reason put down we make $45K, when we make over the $75K requirement. So we were refused to go on the first presentation. We switched from TimeShare Presentation to Vacation Club Presentation. Our sales guy (Turk) kicked us out 10 minutes before the 2 hour presentation ended because my wife stepped out briefly because our daughter who is 12 months was getting fussy. In all the presentations we have done, Turk is the most unprofessional sales man we have ever dealt with. Personally, I'd fire him immediately. Turk must of texted his manager, named Michelle, because my wife stepped out of the presentation room. Apparently, Turk told her we were bring disruptive, because our kids left once to go to the bathroom. Even though Turk said if you need to go, just don't be gone long. Michelle took us out, brought my wife to the office and before I knew it my wife came out crying in tears and shaking. They called security, Rick was told to escort us off the property, he was the nicest person there. It does seem that maybe there's a chance this happened due to my wife not looking like them. My son who is 9 said "Mommy, maybe it was because you are black". That's sad, but a possibility. My wife is in the medical field, she remained calm, didn't yell, didn't swear, didn't do anything except for ask a lot of questions. While going up in the elevator I overheard one of the female timeshare sales staff tell a women in the elevator "Why do you look so upset" ? It's none of her business, but the reason was because her sister was now in the hospital, yet she still needed to complete her presentation. I am not a fan of writing reviews like this, but as a warning to anyone considering going with West Gate, do not. It will be the worst decision you ever make. As someone who has worked in customer service for over 20 years, this is the worst experience I have ever personally seen.

Yelp
We feel scammed. We booked a room at this resort as a well needed break for our family. I have 2 young boys so I was intentionally searching for resorts with an indoor water park. My wife and I took off work and drove 3 1/2 hours to get here with our 2 boys -- only to discover my reservation was cancelled. The resort tried to call me (to see if I wanted to tour a timeshare) but I'm on "the do not call" list. (My bad?) They sent me an email, but it was filtered with spam-like emails, so I didn't notice it. (I will take responsibility for that one.) Most hotels/resorts would bend over backwards to serve their paying guests and figure something out or even just offer an apology. Not Westgate. They told me I had 2 options: pay a walk in rate that was double what I had already booked (I had a confirmation receipt!) or *maybe* I could reclaim that special rate if I agreed to do a 2 hour tour/sales pitch that required the whole family. Oh and they weren't sure they could make room on the tour. (They had rooms, but the tour might be full.) We ended up getting an air BNB. We still bought tickets to the water park. *Which we would have had to purchase even if we were guests. It may be hidden somewhere on the website that the water park is an additional expense but it's intentionally murky* The water park would be nice if there was enough staff or enforcement of capacity limits. There is no way the lifeguards are able to keep up. Westgate squeezes as many people as possible. Oh and charges them $10-20 for tiny lockers in addition to admission. I have nothing against individual staff. They are friendly, albeit overwhelmed. It is just so obvious that this place is: 1. Ran by a company in a remote location that is purely interested in profit And 2. A high pressure timeshare commercial that you still have to pay for Don't be fooled. They will only treat you well if they think they can scam you.

My N.

Yelp
The over priced amount to stay here is unbelievable. They don't keep them up, they are not child friendly, the water park is over priced and small to say the least. Extremely disappointed and won't be back

Yelp
We paid almost $300 a night for a one bedroom villa. The grounds are gorgeous! The Living room and bedroom are very nice with newer furniture. The problem is we had no window so the whole place felt like a dungeon. There is one small window in the bedroom that looks out onto a public hallway. I had to leave lights on all the time to keep from getting depressed. Don't stay in building 3000 or 4000. There is no parking by the buildings (only handicapped). You will have to park down the hill and carry all your stuff uphill and up a set of stairs to get to the front of the building. The elevator in the building reeks of garbage. There is no privacy.. you can hear every word your neighbors are saying. Thinnest walls ever. It looks like there are Lisa's of activities for kids but with limited hours due to Covid. The staff was very nice. What a shame the place is built so poorly. Will stay somewhere else if we come back to Gatlinburg.

Yelp
This review is of the resort Itself. Please see review of timeshare presentation separately. Check in- a long process even with doing express check in. Took about 45 min. No enforcement of guests to wear masks. We were taken to the room by our bellhop who helped with bags and asked me to walk around to make sure the room was to my liking. I appreciated this step because our room was up a lot of stairs AND after reading negative reviews about some rooms, I am glad the effort was there to make sure I liked it. I did. The room was lovely and clean. The one bedroom was enough space for my family of 5. Our room had NO view but was so clean and spacious, that didn't matter. It seemed brand new. (Building 18) The infinity pool- very pretty area at the top of the mountain. Kids enjoyed themselves. Bar outside was unavailable. A good place to relax (minus some obnoxious families but that isn't Westgate's fault.) Zip lining- you must make an appointment for this. Kids had a lot of fun. Perfect for a novice/beginner. 2 out of 3 kids have done larger more intense zip lines but they still had fun and wanted to go more. Fire pit area- beautiful! Breathtaking views. Peaceful. We didn't use the fire pit but we did stay in that area a little bit. It is lovely. We did not go to the restaurant so I can't comment on that. Water park- we spent about 4 hours there. It is small. Nothing big or scary. Two fun slides for the medium aged kid but enough to occupy them on a rainy day. I wouldn't go out of my way to go there unless your kids are small . We had a few hours and decided to take them and they had fun. It does cost about $25 a person. The food at water park is terrible! You can leave and come back so I recommend doing that. They clean mid day 2:30-3:00 so be prepared for them to close during that timeframe. Security at front gate where you show parking pass. They have a spa but I did not go. Location is fantastic. Gatlinburg in one direction and Pigeon forge to the other. Very lovely place. Considered an elite timeshare resort. I would disagree and say it is middle of the road - Premier. The timeshare presentation was a horrid experience so Check out that review for specific details. I was concerned about cleanliness when I read reviews but we did not experience that at all and I am particular!

Yelp
Horrifyingly awful experience. It's a timeshare scam. I have never felt so bullied by a "hospitality" staff in my life. Our vacation was cut short abruptly due to our experience. When we tried to speak to management they refused to help, threatened us with astronomical fees and told us to deal with corporate who was closed for the weekend. Read the hundreds of bad reviews and do your self and your family a favor and go elsewhere. I still cannot believe how upsetting, frustrating and traumatic our experience was with this establishment.

Yelp
Beautiful place here... rooms are great with great views... complaints about this room, are that... the paper towels are WAYYYYYY TO THIN! I understand you try to save on money because of the vast amount of these you use, but really, if you'd use quality items from the beginning, you'd save money. The staff here are all very polite and charming. The pool was busy. They should note, at check in, that the water park is for kids. Service to our room with additional needed items was quick. Thank you for that. Also, the maintenance man was on it with in 10 mins of our call for assistance in something that needed Attention. Thank you again... Would I be back again? I believe so. This is a beautiful facility, and with the vans to help you up and down through this village, it helps tremendously. Thanks for everything...

Yelp
Me and my husband reserved a room with a discount if we attended a 90 minute presentation for timeshare properties. When we arrived the outside of the resort looked great the staff was pleasant, we were assigned building 5000 room 44E. When we opened the door OMG. The room was very dated and nasty. The couch was old and uncomfortable. The stove didn't work and there was a small 2&1 washer under the sink in the restroom that didnt worked. I always take the sheets off and wash them when we stay in cabins. When I took the sheets off the mattress had blood stains on it. I tried to use the phone that was there to call the office but it didn't work. I used my cell phone and made a complaint, they sent two men and one of them reeped of alcohol they just looked at it and said they would replace the mattress if they had a king size mattress but they didnt have one so there was nothing they could do. We were too done. We put towels over the stains and then the sheet . As I was trying to cover up the towels with the shhet I noticed that the sheets had brown stains, so we slept on top of the comforter. The TVs were so dated we couldn't even watch Netflix or cable. We ended up using our phones to watch our shows. The next day at 930 we went to the presentation which was suppose to be 90 minutes. They were very persistent and would not take no for an answer. 90 minutes turned into 4 hours. They initially promised two $100 visa cards, we left with 2 Waterpark half off tickets. We told them about our room and he said if yall buy this timeshare you'll have a great room before you leave and my staff will move all of your stuff to the new room. My husband told him that purchase or not the room should be livable and sanitary. Finally after 4 hours he said let me introduce you to my manager, the so called manager came and tried again to convince us to buy the timeshare we declined over and over pointing out that the owner whos cabin we rented should be ashamed to rent such a unsanitary cabin and he just brushed it off as something that was accidentally overlooked and said if it had been one of his properties this wouldn't have happened. Me and my husband looked in amazement and disbelief. We did not enjoy our stay at all. We originally booked 4 days but left a day early. This place reminded me of scammers. On day 2 we requested some towels. After a while we were wondering why it was taking so long. I look out the door and someone had left a bog of towels in front of our door. The towels were hard and didnt smell clean at all. Leaving was our only option. I will go back to Gatlinburg but never Westgate again.

Yelp
Room was very dirty, sheets were dirty, spiders and other bugs roamed the room, rooms view was of a concrete wall, air conditioner smelled of mold, shower had nasty soap scum. I asked the front desk move me and my family to another room and they said they didn't have any other rooms available which was a lie because there were rooms available online. It was my worst resort experience ever I don't recommend wasting your time with this place. Restaurant was extremely short staffed took over 40 mins to get order when it arrived it was inaccurate and over charged

Yelp
As an owner since 1999, actually since before the resort was built here in Gatlinburg, one would have thought there would have been some courtesy and professionalism given when trying to enter the water park with my grandchildren, here at the "most wonderful time of the year", Christmas time, though had left my membership card in a condo elsewhere. I gave my name and tried to even give my member number, now memorized, but no dice. I was prepared to pay for the accommodation since staying elsewhere, but as an owner was also due a discount. The waterpark and front desk claimed they could not do anything without the card. Hmmm, interesting. Odd how they can bill and send things to me without a mere card. And they seriously want me to believe they cannot look up the fact that I am an owner. Really? Time for workers to get more training on being courteous, nice, helpful, and dare I say, professional. We left, with grandchildren in tears, my son angry, and as a mamaw, well, the words disappointed and furious do not begin to even touch it!!! And the rating thing, trust me, Not Good is many, many steps up from what I would rate this encounter!

Yelp
Wow wow wow. What a beauty! For the price we paid I was expecting a semi-nice little hotel room but upon arrival found that my expectations were exceeded. We booked the king bedroom w/ jacuzzi tub and were absolutely so pleased with the accommodations. Full kitchen with dishes & small appliances. Comfy bedroom with huge tub and beautiful bathroom. Second bathroom (not expected, but nice perk in case ya gotta go!) Beautiful balcony looking out over a nice little wooded valley. I'm seriously still so amazed at this place. We didn't visit the pool like we planned because it was cold/rainy during most of our visit but they have complimentary mini-golf that was pretty fun! I'm a Florida girl, we have flat land here. So to drive (what felt like straight) up a mountain to get to our room was a little intimidating but you get used to it after a few days. Just 5-10 minutes away from everything you'd want to do in pigeon forge or Gatlinburg. Definitely a go-to for our next trip.
