Westwood House

‘Like returning home after a day’s work!’. I stay away for work a lot and I have stayed in a few places in Dorchester and Westwood House is by far the best! My room was perfect spacious with a separate seating / tv area, gorgeous bathroom and amazing large comfy bed! Karl and Jocelyn were such welcoming hosts and were there if you needed them. Nothing was too much trouble.. having had breakfast on my first morning I was really looking forward to breakfast the next morning.. will be my new go to when in the area. Thanks K and C 🙏

I stayed here at the beginning of August for one night. The room was so beautiful and the bed was super comfy. We placed our order the night before for breakfast and it was superb. The atmosphere was so welcoming and the hosts were lovely including their dog. Would definitely come back and stay longer.

Superb welcome, amazing room so very comfortable with attention to detail of all your possible needs! Really comfy bed and pillows!! The BEST accommodation I have ever stayed in .. superb breakfast! A real treat! I definitely want to return 👌

We had a fantastic time. The Hosts, Karl and Jocelyn are so friendly. Rooms are immaculate and the Breakfast ranks among the best I've ever had. Definitely be back soon.

Easy to book online. Great communication and parking very close by in the Top O the town car park. A very good, central town location. |Karl & Jocelyn were perfect hosts and really made our 2-night stay even more special. |We opted for the top floor suite….the 52 steps were good for us! The bedroom, lounge & bathroom had all been very recently renovated & decorated to a high standard. It was quiet and very comfortable. |Breakfast in the new conservatory could not be faulted & we put in our orders the night before to make life much easier for Jocelyn in the kitchen. |We would thoroughly recommend staying here and will certainly be returning.

This place is several hundred years old but Jocelyn and Karl have updated it such that it’s a comfortable place to stay. There’s a public parking lot a few hundred meters from the front door. No charge from 1800 to 0800, and if you pay for more time on the day you’re parking the additional time rolls over to the next morning. Credit cards accepted for parking. ||Several restaurant options near by, we tried two, the Italian, Al Mono (20% discount on the ala carts menu when you tell them you’re staying at Westwood), and the Thai place a few doors down. Both meals were very good. ||There are several options that Jocelyn can whip up for breakfast, I had the avocado toast one morning and the eggs Benedict the other, both were excellent. ||The hosts were gracious people and fun to talk with. ||If you have an aversion to stairs, do not take Room #2 as you have to climb 52 steps. However, the room is well appointed, quiet and comfortable.||T there

Jocelyn & Karl are fantastic hosts & made us so welcome. |Westwood house is a really old building with loads of character and was very cozy.|The breakfasts were delicious and freshly cooked by Jocelyn and delivered to our table by Karl who is the perfect host.|We would definitely stay again & would recommend Westwood house as a great base to explore the area.

Wonderful one night stay at the Westwood. Karl was a brilliant host and so welcomimg, nothing was too much trouble. Our room was clean, with a super comfortable bed, we both had a great sleep. We loved the added bonus of a coffee machine and a fully stocked refreshment draw with tea, coffee and hot chocolate. We had our own mini fridge with cold milk and water which was a lovely touch. |The breakfast was fantastic, we had a full English which was made with high quality ingredients and cooked to perfection by Jocelyn. |The location of the property was central to town and close to everything we wanted to see and do. We also really recommend Al Mono which is a restaurant within a 2 minute walk down the high street. We had such a wonderful meal in there and their set menu was good value for money and was absolutely delicious! |We will definitely stay at the Westwood again if we return.
