This is a great place to sit on the deck overlooking Lake Livingston and enjoy drinks and good food in fair weather. Inside, it is a bar in every sense and smells like smoke and alcohol. Regulars perch on barstools and greet each other as they arrive. (cheers!) Our visits here are in the daytime, but at night, they often have live music.
They are known for the burgers, so that is what we got and they were as advertized, quite good. Also very large. I got the Wet Deck Cheeseburger with jalapenos added and onion rings, which are fresh made to order. It was all terrific. If I had any complaint at all, I'd wish for fresh meat, hand formed patties. These are your average frozen pre-formed. The popular spicy Bloody Mary is $6.75.
The menu is fairly large, with lots of appetizers, sandwiches, wraps, seafood, salads, wings, and sides, even large seafood platters for two or four and party platters of appetizers.
You order inside, adult beverages at the bar, food and soft drinks at the kitchen window. They call your name on outside speakers to fetch your food when it's ready. For drinks only or refills, a server outside was prompt and checked in with us several times to see if we needed any refills.
This is a 21 and over establishment all the time and in all areas, so don't even try it. Strictly enforced. You can boat up or there's a large parking lot.
On our November visit, there were no umbrellas and none needed on the perfect 62 degree sunny day, but they come out in warmer weather. An ancient pecan tree was dropping its annual harvest all around. Lovely afternoon.
