Weta Cafe

Highly Recommended :) We (4) popped in for late brunch during April 2025. We all had the Turkish Prawns - absolutely delicious. And coffees, of course, well presented. This is a gem of a find. The service was prompt and good. There are small bids everywhere - add a charm to the atmosphere. There are some simple games in the park alongside, to add to the memory. Thank you :)

Lovely little cafe, cute and wholesome atmosphere with lots of birds around the area so lovely to listen to. Food was absolutely delicious and the staff were incredibly friendly. Had the heirloom tomatoes and it was so yummy! Person I was with had corn fritters and said they were very tasty also.

Great food, great service, grumpy cat. We enjoyed breakfast, lunch and takeaway sandwiches from Weta during our short stay in town. Everyone was cheerful except Helen Clark (the cat), which is understandable. Imagine if you just want to lie in the sun but everyone passing by insists on a pat 😊

Great cafe, very friendly staff. Big servings so bring your appetite. Great coffee and extra.

The food was phenomenal. I got the smashed avocado with salmon added. Was 100% worth it with great portions. All my favorite things on one plate. And to top it all off there was a fat orange fluffy cat lounging around. Loved it!

I took my staff here for our Xmas do brekki (there were 18 of us) and the food was amazing. The staff were lovely, I pre ordered all the meals before hand and they were served within 20min of us arriving which was great. The owner was fantastic to deal with. The meals were all generous sizes and everyone left with full bellys and a big smile 😀 I highly recommend to all!!! BTW, I had the gluten free smashed avocado and it delicious (i posted a pic of it), my colleagues at my table had the burger (in the pic) which was huge and also delicious and the big brekki!

We'd just finished at the DCR and called into our "fav cafe". A table for 4 was quickly found and we ordered our lunch. It was a really busy Friday afternoon (3rd Jan) and even though the place was full, the staff were full of smiles. Understandably hot & flustered too, but so professional, friendly and can't be faulted. Great manager, chef and all staff. We look forward to our next visit. Happy NY team! Really great coffee and atmosphere. They put out games outside for everyone to enjoy. Helen Clark is everyones much loved cat.
