This place is likely reviewed by most under Whale Research EcoExcursions, and this is one of the locations you can come to to purchase whale excursions. But this is really a separate experience.
$5 gets you into this humble, somewhat aging museum. I'd really describe this as a personal collection more than a museum. Carrie is the curator and also the Marine Biologist that personally takes most of the tours out on the ocean. You can really tell that whales are the love of her life and it's endearing to read about all of the whales that she has "adopted" and pledged to care for and watch out for and learn about.
We purchased one of her books here which is a collection of personal stories and information about whales, but also information about each of the individual whales that are found off of the coast. They all have names. And while we were on the coast, we got to do a little bit of whale watching, and it was neat to know that all of these whales have been identified and people were watching out for them.
If whales are your thing, definitely come here. If you're wanting a really polished museum that has bells and whistles and is really clean, then don't come here.
