Always a great experience having lunch at whalers. The servers are great and the food happens to be 10/10. Be very careful - their drinks are STRONG!

Visited here with a family of 5 with 1 infant. It was empty but I decided to choose here over the rival restaurant opposite. Served by a lovely lady. Was showed the sizes of available fish. They start from 3,000 but they had none. Let's just say the food was 🔥... Steam fish 10/10. Fry chicken meal 10/10. Well soak and crispy. And let me not forget the oxtail.. BAD! 1000/10. Big up the chef (June2024).. we visited twice and couldn't fault it. Deres no lift. Only stars. Only thing I wished they played was some music throughout the afternoon.. would have vybed up the atmosphere a piece more.

1) meals are done to order. As such , we had to wait a while to receive our meal. 2) The waitress was warm and accommodating. She always pass through to check on us. 3) lovely view of the sea and the ships on the pier. 4) The food was great. Lovely prices for such tasty food. I would go back.

My family and I recently had a whale of a time at Whalers' Restaurant in Ocho Rios, Jamaica! In short, Great Food, Great Staff! Great Management! Check them out!! The manager, Miss Michelle Grant is very, accommodating and goes out of her way to way to make her guests feel at home. The staff are well trained and are also very, very friendly. The premises are very clean, well-kept and very organized. The location is great and the view overlooking the beautiful Caribbean Sea is amazing!And most importantly, the food is delicious!!! Everything tasted so good!! My entire family enjoyed the time at this wonderful restaurant!!! We will go back for sure!!

It was an ok experience. My husband had the bbq shrimp and that was really good not chewy at all. The chicken wrap was good, too much cabbage for my preference. The wings were really small for the price. The atmosphere was nice and the music wasn’t too loud we could hear each other talk .

Great first impression of Ocho Rios thank you to our waiter for going out of his way to make ice coffee for our family which is not on their menu. The food was amazing the whole family loved it good portions and fair prices 🇯🇲🙏🏽 ***UPDATE 2024 January 3 I am sooo disappointed I lost my appetite!!! I can’t believe you have trippeled your prices within 1 year! Tried to have a family dinner and was totally turned off by the prices so unfortunately we had to leave and enjoy our dinner elsewhere. A chicken wrap was J$700 in January 2023 and now it is J$2500! No thanks ! Too bad because I was looking forward to share with my parents what a nice experience we had here but that did not happen. No wonder the place was empty!

The brown stew fish was excellent, perfectly seasoned and cooked to tender perfection. The staff were warm, attentive, pleasant and made the experience even better. Highly recommend!

The price is reasonable. There are a variety of seafood menu options. If you have someone in your party that don't eat fish they have other options, fried chicken, wings, and burgers.The place is quite popular so don't go near closing. They stopped taking orders an hour before closing, maybe due to curfew. Staff are friendly enough. Boats on the beach take up prime beach spot.
