We loved our stay at Whalwatch Ocean Beach Resort! The apartment was very well appointed with comfortable beds. Views from balcony are idyllic. Wallabies and kookaburras in grounds, with somewhere to kick a ball for the kids. Already have booked next year!

They have a unique location to offer, as they are two minute away from the stunning North Gorge Walk where you will find an abundance of wild life and spectacular scenery. In the winter months of June to November, you will witness the majesty of the migrating Southern Humpback Whales from the balconies of the Premium Ocean View apartments and from the North Gorge Walk, beaches and Headlands. Point Lookout is one of the best land based whale watching locations in the world.

Spectacular views that lived up to their name of Whale Watch! Our apartment was beautiful, top floor, stylishly appointed and amazing views all the way along. Perfect location for easy walk to beaches and Gorge walk. Couldnt fault our stay. Book the Premium Oceanview Room. Wow! Pool and spa area is also lovely.

The room interiors could do with some work. Sofa is not comfy, beds are small. Our bathroom has a little mould on it, but there was a second one we could use. Otherwise goegeous. Great view, and pleasant kitchen.

Pretty average service to be honest. Very poor preforming website, creates problems to book multi rooms. Management service for refunds was Very Poor.

Very disappointed at the price we paid $500.00per night.For the price we paid I expected to see the beach.We got to see the waves.NO air-conditioning in 2 rooms it was very hot.No draws to put your clothes away we lived out of our bags😡for 3 days.Had to ask for coat hangers.Ants all over the verandah.No coffee pods as advertised. Over all I would not recomed to stay here if you had children or shared accommodation.

This is just scraping into a 4 star review. The hotel certainly lives up to its name in terms of watching whales. The view is breathtaking with hundreds of whales coming past mostly in the morning and the afternoon. The room was super spacious with a big kitchen and a pantry. The bathrooms and the bedrooms were also very generous. The pool is a nice size with chairs and amenities there as well. However, just a few things which could have been better. The room wasn't as clean as it could have been with a candy wrapper on the couch, a bit of food stuffs left in the sink, there were some stains on the carpet and a dirty mark on one of the beds. We did advise reception of the dirty mark and it was fixed without issue. There were some broken tiles outside on the balcony and the bathroom doors were a bit sticky and one lock was playing up. Also, the heated pool could be a bit more heated to make it more appealing. They just have a few things to bring this place up to scratch. But scrapes in to 4 stars.

Vey disappointed with the service. Book ocean view appointment spend thousands dollars with no ocean views at all. When try to get help I been told need book premium ocean view to get ocean view. I booked with my two other family friends booked exactly same ocean view apartment. They got proper nice view. Scam. Just want let everyone know be careful when you book with these guys. And they don’t want help you when you call them .

We were impressed by the nice big room to start with in a good location close to the beach. The first night was great, air conditioned room with self contained kitchen 2 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms. Then night 2 happened with the family from hell staying above us. We were on the middle floor. They had 3 kids that sounded like 10 kids due to the acoustics in this place. Every move they made, we heard. Woken up in the morning at 6am sharp every morning with the sound of a marble dropping on the tile floor above my head. Day 3 the father decided to spend the day drinking alone and we all got to listen to his music choices all day (lucky us). Went to reception to complain, reception closed for the weekend... the whole weekend... this family moved out Monday, but not before spending 4 hours in the pool outside our window with their kids screaming out of control the whole time. Then the next family moved in, not as bad but still heard every move they made through the paper this ceiling. Went to complain to management on departure... guess what.. office closed... I would never stay here if you enjoy sleeping. We won't be back to whale watch. There were several other disturbances, neighbour arguments etc, but what the point complaining. No one listens anyway, and they never there to complain to in the first place.
