Wharf Bar & Restaurant Ballina

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ballina Wharf, and it was an absolute delight! The ambiance was stunning, with breathtaking views of the river that made the experience even more special. The food was delicious, and the service was top-notch. I highly recommend trying their seafood platter and wood-fired pizza. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, perfect for a night out with friends. Overall, I give Ballina Wharf 5 stars – it's a must-visit spot in Ballina!

We walked past Wharf Bar on Sunday afternoon when we first arrived in Ballina. The place was absolutely buzzing, not surprising given it was the Easter long weekend, so we decided to come back another night as there was no space for us and our five-month-old baby. Fast forward to tonight, and we finally got to try it out. It was still busy, which is always a good sign, and while the food took a little longer than expected to arrive, that is totally understandable with the crowd. When you have a bub who is getting tired and ready for bed, a few extra minutes can feel like forever, but honestly, it was well worth the wait. We ordered two dishes from their Tuesday specials, the mussels and the fish and chips, and both were absolutely spot on. The mussels were fresh and flavourful with a generous portion of bread to soak up the broth, and the fish and chips were solid. The portion sizes were generous, especially considering the price. Great value for money. The atmosphere was laid-back and welcoming, with stunning views over the water and a relaxed vibe that made it easy to unwind, even with a baby in tow. The staff were friendly and accommodating, especially the maître d’, who really went out of his way to give us a nice seat with a view of the sunset. Overall, we really enjoyed our night out at Wharf Bar. It is a great spot for couples, families, or anyone looking to enjoy a solid meal with a beautiful view and good service. We will definitely be back for a drink next time we’re in town!

Stunning food, staff and setting. We came back a 2nd night. Best fish and pizza we've had. The seafood mixed grill and seafood linguine were so fresh and succulent. The kids loved the cocktails too. Absolutely recommend. We'll be back...

We are a family of 3 travelling from Bengaluru, India with our local friends (9 no.s in total). We stopped for lunch on the way from Bexhill, Killen Falls and Sharpes Beach before heading back to Bexhill. · 7 Mile Beer Battered Fish & Chips – the fish was fresh and crispy to perfection. · Asahi beer – The schooner was served cold and was most welcome and delicious on a hot day! · Vegetariana pizza – the wood-fired pizza was served hot and straight from the oven, and the taste didn’t disappoint. It had generous amounts of olive oil. · Hot chocolate – was not that hot; could have been served even hotter. · Marinated Spring Lamb Cutlets – the lamb was cooked to perfection. · Kids Pasta with Napoli Sauce & Cheese – the kids loved the taste. · Potato Chips with aioli sauce – the aioli dip sauce was fresh with a just the right hint of garlic and tasted great. Overall, excellent taste and generous amounts. We will definitely come again someday soon.

We had the Autumn special to share - a 5 course meal that was the best of the best seafood - local, fresh, cooked to perfection. All of the food was outstanding. Incredible value for money. The service was wonderful - staff friendly, attentive, and accommodating. Thanks for finishing off an awesome whale watching day for us 🙏and special sunset included

Lovely restaurant on the river in Ballina town. Lots of tables inside and out and of a generous size, this is a very comfortable place. This is my first time since it changed hands. We were greeted with another customers pizzas passing us as we were sitting so knew we'd have to try one! (You can watch the pizza chef in action too). Fabulous menu with lots of seafood dishes. Staff were lovely and friendly and the food came out all hot and smelling amazing! The waitress topped up our water while we were there and checked if we wanted anything else making it a seamless experience.

Great open space bar/restaurant overlooking Ballina river. Best time to visit is around sunset for beautiful outlook on the water. The seafood grill platter was great and highly recommended. The burger was just average. Nice place to spend an evening in great ambience and casual dining.

Their kids pizza bigger than we expected it would be. We ordered another 2 fish and chips. Been given someone else's orders, and waited quite awhile for the food to be ready. But the food tasted good and also good portion so it was worth it. Great location and atmosphere.
