I highly recommend visiting Wheeler Farms! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a glass of wine and a small bite from the kitchen. We were given a short tour of the grounds, given the history of the property, and seated inside the tasting room. We then had delicious small bites that were paired perfectly with our wine tasting, and we were blown away. The executive chef Thomas is an expert at what he does. The food complemented the wine in such a way that we've never tasted before. It made for a truly unforgettable experience. Do yourself a favor and visit Wheeler Farms in St. Helena when you're in the area.

I was wowed at the great care in which Phillip, Emily, and the Wheeler Farm team provided me and my group when tasting here. The wines, the food pairings (really unique and carefully selected), the property, and the hospitality was top notch. We started our tasting out with a tour of the gardens and learned how much of the food grown is incorporated to onsite activities. Once the tasting began, we were impressed with the balance and elegance of the wines. We tasted some cabernets and cabernet-based blends. It was clear that these small-batch wines were thoughtfully made. They SANG with the food in unison. I can't wait to come back. I recommend this appointment-only winery for those who enjoy higher-end, small batch wines.

Wheeler Farms is a more than a winery it’s an experience. Holly was a very hospitable hostess and was very knowledgeable about the wines we tasted and the property we visited. Any WINO seeking more than the average tasting, I highly recommend Wheeler Farms.

This was our first stop of the morning (10:30am) we were met by Alex with a rosé and a gruyère bite to take on a brief tour of the property. We had an amazing experience and tasting — their bites/food are not to be missed! Everything complimented the wine perfectly. We almost overstayed our welcome but felt like family! Highly recommend this tasting experience.

Top notch experience, staff, wine and food

What a fantastic time with Alex, Grant and Chef Tom. The tour of the property showcased its beauty and revealed the fruits of its labor. They have chicken, bees and everything in between. We got a glimpse at the state of the art wine making facility and then off to the food/ wine paring. All of the delirious bites were paired with J. H. Wheeler wines. We loved them all but particularly loved the super small production Red Hen Cab and the 2019 Cuvée. We loved the wine, people and experience so much, we became club members. We can't wait to go again and share the discovery with friends.

The hospitality, the food, and the wine! This is a must stop on your wine tasting tour! Reservations are required, and that makes tasting here so special! They keep the number of people low so you have ample time to enjoy the fresh cold rose as you walk their garden, then see the property, and then sit and taste! The tasting was accompanied with little bits made by their in-house chef (I bought the cook book they sell too) The wines were paired perfectly and all were amazing! Would love to come back on our next trip to Napa!

Oh wow, what a very special wine country tasting experience! My husband and I were the only guests on the premises and our guide Patrick, a 4th generation Napa born. The tasting and bites were exquisite but more so the individualized attention and wonderful insider notes that Patrick shared. Highly recommend for intimate and unique to you tasting experience away from the crowds - yes, yes, yes!

This is a fantastic experience. Individually curated with exceptional wine, food worthy of Michelin stars, and hosts who are friendly, experienced, knowledgeable and helpful. Alex hosted us and he was awesome. There are some epic wines, made better with the food pairing. The grounds are beautiful and idyllic considering it's just off Zinfandel Lane. The garden is something to aspire to, with everything blooming and ripening. Overall just a great place to spend a few hours.

Our visit to Wheeler Farms was spectacular! We always dig for these types of "off the beaten path" experiences when we visit Napa and this was IT. The tasting was amazing and Tyler, our host was awesome! COVID prevented extensive tours, but our little walk in the garden and a peek of the production facility was very cool! Lots of great Napa pedigree & world class Cabernet, for sure. Well thought out mini-pairings accompanied our tasting with ingredients sourced from the property, which was very special. Wheeler also sells a few other labels that are produced in same house (you'll have to inquire to get the full scoop). Overall a very impressive experience! We purchased some wine that's ready to drink now, and a few others we will add to our collection. Will return for sure, and bring our friends. Highly recommended!

Amazing winery! We tried Tor's wines there! It was great, they have a beautiful sitting area and it's just a nice place to visit in Napa!
