"Ann Arbor has 161 parks, so I'd walk to one in the area, like Wheeler Park (named after the city's first African American mayor) for a picnic. I'd also bring a bottle from Ground Control Wines because 11 a.m. on a weekend is a perfect time for a glass."

Nice little park in downtown! Nice walking trail and loop. It’s nice it also has bathrooms. The playground area was fun for my 8 and 6 year old. They also liked the sand pit area. Lots of shade at this park makes it perfect for families. Parking is limited to the street but easily accessible and free.

A really nice place to sit or let a kid be a kid from a while. Clean and safe environment.

Nice park near downtown. It has a playground my children used to like, a basketball court, bike/walking path. It even has bathrooms. It's small but holds a lot of activities. It's across the street from the new tunnel under the railroad tracks that leads to the path along the river, the cascades tubing site, canoe livery, etc. Ann Arbor has such great parks!

This is a great park to take your kids to! There's a small playground area, a pavilion, some basketball courts, and a small track. Everything is very well maintained and clean. However, when the sun goes down, some people use the pavilion to smoke weed and drink alcohol - so if you don't want your kids around that, I would advise visiting the park earlier in the day.

Fun little park near the train station in Ann Arbor. I came to sit on the picnic benches, under the shelter to have lunch on a weekend (there are 3 benches there). It seems like a good place to bring kids - there is a medium sized playground. There is also a basketball court which didn't seem too busy when I was there! Looks like the city of Ann Arbor takes care to keep it clean because when I was there, a staff member was going around collecting trash.

We stopped here to eat lunch after going to Mass at St Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. A few guys were having a Sunday grill of steaks. And a few other people were in the park. We ate at a picnic table under the pavilion / shelter. The park also has an area with some benches, and a playground area.

My 8 year old daughter says that there is a great place for bicycling around the track and a great place to climb trees and a great place for little kids with two baby swings as well as two grown up swings and a train and a sandbox and a play structure. There are also basketball hoops, benches and a covered picnic table area
