Had dinner at Wheeler’s Estate with the family and here’s my honest take. We ordered four dishes for three adults and one kid. The bill came up to slightly over $100. The Korean Fried Chicken and Pork Jowl were the standouts. They were flavorful, tender, and worth the try. The BBQ Pork Ribs, however, were a bit of a letdown as they were too dry for our liking. The pizza was tasty but best enjoyed while it’s hot, as the crust gets a little tough when it cools. We went on a Tuesday night and were pleasantly surprised by a live band playing mostly Chinese songs. I loved the open-concept dining area and the relaxed vibe. It’s definitely a nice spot for a chill evening with friends.

Visited Wheeler’s Estate recently and had a delightful dining experience. The roasted chicken was especially good — tender, juicy, and full of flavour. We also tried the pizza, which was a pleasant surprise: crispy base, generous toppings, and made with high-quality ingredients you could really taste. The outdoor ambience was fantastic — spacious, green, and relaxing. The addition of live music made the evening even more enjoyable, creating a laid-back yet lively atmosphere. Overall, Wheeler’s Estate is a great spot for quality Western food in a scenic setting. Perfect for a casual night out with friends or a date night.

A lively and happening spot with both indoor and outdoor seating options. The atmosphere is vibrant and perfect for a casual night out with friends. Food and drinks were good, and the overall vibe made the evening enjoyable. Service was decent too. Definitely a place worth visiting if you’re looking for a fun and relaxed hangout.

Excellent live band. Limited seat, the table near the stage got minimum spending. I like the Pizza which using the thin crust. The pork rib just average.

We came as a group of 16 pax, so we were given 3 tables when we arrived. (We made reservations ahead of time) Food came very promptly and was all piping hot, something we really really appreciate with both elderly and children in our group!! The food was great too, everyone loved the food - the tomahawk was done to the right doneness, the beef cheek was wonderful, the roasted chicken, burgers, fish and chips all wonderful. The service we got that night however, was downright appalling. The service staff kept trying to clear our table even when we were still eating. They did not seek our permission before trying to clear the table - they simply leaned over us and reached for our plates and tried to clear them. I had to stop the service staff twice (not including my other family members) from clearing our plates because we still had food on them??? They did not apologize either. The whole meal we either had the service staff hovering around our tables staring at us eat, or interrupting us and trying to clear our plates all the time. It was very uncomfortable and unpleasant. When we tried to ask about water, your staff told us rudely “order from the app”. We couldn’t hear him because of the music so he repeated in an even ruder way “SIR, ORDER FROM THE APP” Shortly after, one of the service staff took a customer’s water bottle and filled it for her, for free. When the children at our table went to the playground for a short break, the staff immediately cleared the whole table of all plates and cutlery without asking if we were done. At one point there were 2 staff gesticulating at the empty tables that they cleared, unhappy that it was unoccupied (the children were at the playground) One of your service staff glared at me with hostility, so I simply held his gaze until he turned away. I went to ask the hostess if there was a dining time limit, just to be sure we were not overstaying our welcome. She confirmed there was no dining time limit and I was free to stay for as long as I liked. Strange how we were made to feel like we had to clear out of the restaurant ASAP. She later came back to whisper to me to say “there is no time limit for eating but please let me know if you are done with the tables so we can release the tables”, which I completely understand. I told her we were going to cut a birthday cake and then going to leave. So we called for the cake, sang the song and cut the cake. When your very diligent service staff once again cut in front of us to clear our near-empty and unused plates, I told him we were done with one of the tables (at the end) and we were happy to release it. (At this point there were still more than 15 empty tables in the restaurant) He scoffed at me and said there’s no need to because we are still using the other 2 tables and there’s “no point” while rolling his eyes and gesticulating at me. I did not respond to him but chose to sit back down instead. The music by Shirlyn and the Unexpected was wonderful though and made things a little better in the end!!!! Full marks for the food and the music, but the service here desperately needs work.

Great atmosphere. Was there for an early dinner with kids. Food was good but not outstanding. Slightly overpriced for the quality. 1 ribeye, 1 charcuterie board, 2 kids meal, 1 mozzarella sticks, 1 sweet potato fries, 1 dessert, 2 gls of wine and 1 mineral water. $230+. Staff were not knowledgeable on a specific item on the charcuterie which I had dietary concerns. Not a bad place, there is a kids area but unfortunately it was drizzling during my visit. There was live music but left before it started.

The brunch menu is not extensive….and it’s really just breakfast-type of food. The food tastes good. We forgot to let them know how we would like the doneness of our beef…neither did they ask. Looking at the dinner menu, it is more extensive and I believe they have a live band at night as well. Will go for dinner instead.

Wheeler’s just had different vibe between the night and the day. I had a bad experience the first time I was here for brunch. But the dinner experience was so good that I came here twice within a month. The live music band performance just lifted up the mood. Very busy during weekends and dinner time, great for couples or friends. Food was fantastic. Whether its bar bites or even the tomahawk. Service was prompt and totally would want to visit here often (for food and music).

Yelp
A pretty cool location to chill and relax on a Friday afternoon with girlfriends for coffee. Then move to another spot for drinks and light bites. There's also an outdoor lawn area set up for outdoor movie screenings. I'll probably come back again to try the food as I was only here for coffee. The truffle fries topped with Parmesan cheese was pretty good since it was polished off pretty quickly by my daughter.

Yelp
Ho hum food at the restored colonial buildings near Seletar airbase. Wheeler's Estate is one of four newly opened restaurants located at "The Oval", a set of restored colonial buildings formerly occupied by RAF servicemen who worked at the Seletar Airbase right up till 1971. Hipsters and instagrammers, rejoice. There is that "cool" atmosphere, with spacious surroundings, mood lighting and conservation buildings that hint of an era gone by. However the same cannot be said of the food... The menu is a little pricey, with the usual steaks, fish n chips and pastas. I went for the S$99 T-Bone and a grilled octopus starter, which I almost instantly regretted the minute it arrived on the table. It was plated immaculately, but was chewier than an eraser and definitely overcooked. The steak wasn't much better, rather bloodless and dry, without much flavor. It was placed on a gas grill (smelled of gas) and the sauces overpowered the steak. Perhaps I ordered the wrong menu items? For me, food quality comes first. I guess it's 4 stars for the atmosphere but 2 stars for the disappointing food. I'll most probably be back for a drink or dessert, but will definitely skip the food.

Yelp
To be fair, we came here only because of a bad experience at Wildseed Cafe (I waited for 20 minutes, only to discover by chance that my name had been struck off). The food were generally not bad. I only would say (1) i didn't quite enjoy the crab benedict that was served cold (the crab salad part was fridge cold) (2) the breads across all 3 dishes were the same brioche toast. maybe different bread options would be good to keep this from being so monotonous. biggest gripe was the prices. we spent $120 for these 3 mains and 3 coffees. Quite a hefty sum for a place that is so far out and need some form of public transport or taxi to get to. service was all youngsters who are inexperienced.

Yelp
This would make a nice place to chill out on Fridays after work i.e. outdoor spacious environment. Service is good. Menu ain't great with limited offerings. I had the MB2 Scotch Fillet 300 grams. Honestly, wasn't anything to shout about and definitely not what I expected for a MB2. In fact, the meat was rather stiff and given the price, I wouldn't really recommend people to come for the food. Drinks and nice place to chill out - yes.

Yelp
The food and service were decent but the ambience at night was more like a wet market. There was live music but the restaurant was had music which was rather annoying. It was very crowded with lots of groups dinner. While we were put in a quieter area it was still a noisy place for date night. We wouldn't be coming back for dinner anytime soon.
