The best bagels and cream cheese ever!! I never knew Whidbey Island would have the best bagels I've tasted. We got plain, olive oil, and raised bagels with garlic cream cheese. The bagels were soft and chewy inside. I usually like my bagels toasted but this bagel was so good without toasting. The roasted garlic cream cheese had smashed garlic inside that wasn't overwhelmingly garlicy. Because we came in around noon, there weren't many options because they sell out quick. But I was very impressed with the bagels I had! I'm buying a dozen on my way back home.

No questions asked - these are the most delicious bagels west of the Mississippi. Very large selection of bagels and cream cheese flavors. Both the Sausage/egg and the ham/ egg breakfast sandwiches were tasty. Big fan of the garlic Parmesan bagel and my husband loved the pesto. Will be back anytime I’m on the island.

First time here visiting with a friend I had a Taiwan glazed bagel with lemon blueberry cream cheese and my friend went with the garlic and parm bagel with garlic herb cream cheese along with a hot caramel macchiato. Everything was amazing! The bagels were fresh and toasted perfectly and cream cheese was one of a kind the texture and flavors were perfect. I’ve never been a huge fan of bagels but now I understand. Also the service from the staff was amazing everyone was super friendly and efficient!!

Working on the island and The Bagel Factory was recommended to me. So this was my first time stopping in. The store is extremely convenient to get to just off the main Highway with a huge parking lot. The staff was very kind and inviting. I took a recommendation of the salmon lox bagel with cream cheese and capers. It did not disappoint it was very good and tasted extremely fresh. And the bagel was amazing. Only my first time in but I will definitely be back to try others with some friends and family when visiting Clinton on Whidbey Island. The store was very clean with a good atmosphere and things to look at. My bagel came out in a very timely manner. On nice days the front part of the store is open with bar seating so you can directly look outside which is very nice for the clean fresh air and a view of something else besides just the person sitting next to you. I enjoyed this extra touch.

The Whidbey Island Bagel Factory has been one of my sons favorite places to go when he’s on island seeing his Gramma. The last two visits the quality and service has gone down hill. Today during our visit the cashier was rude, and seemed bother to help my son and I, and then same service to the woman behind us that was there with her granddaughter. Our coffee was barely warm and our bagels only had a slight smear of cream cheese and only on half of the bagel. - $16.32 (before tip) for one coffee, and two bagels only to be disappointed. Bagels are still tasty that’s why I gave 2⭐️ otherwise the lack of service and non quality presentation of bagel or latte, I would have given 1⭐️ Picture is of the cashier, and latter maker, and who served us today.

Best bagel(s)! I have EVER had in my life. I did not consider myself a bagel person until I came here for the first time early this summer with my Aunt. I now am! 🤣 I now come monthly to get 1-2 dozen 🫣🤭, as I live in Magnolia. I have to stop myself from justifying the trip here weekly…but really I do. Seriously, everything is so amazing! Def get yourself the garlic and the everything cream cheese 🤤 One weekend there was Kale sausage soup and it was so good 🔥John the owner is super friendly and oh so kind. I’m looking forward to catching up with him when I’m heading there next on 10/24! I definitely have a countdown…. 🤗🤗🤗

Bizarre, surreal experience while having a bagel and coffee. Jets flying overhead with motors SCREAMING in between bites of bagel is mind bendingly out of place for me. The locals seemed to not even feel the jets roaring through the sky tearing your eardrums apart while they vibrate the earth. Good bagels though, and the front patio is a great spot to watch the jets. Maybe I was just lucky, but they were seriously loud and constant. Coffee was good too. Patio was pet friendly.

They have my heart and soul and wallet. I don’t want others to come here cause they already sell out too fast. Come for the odd bathroom and stay for the bagels.

We were at the Clinton location and it was a 5 minute drive from the Ferry terminal. Thought of having a quick bite before going into the Island. Quite a lot of customers on a Sunday morning. We had the egg and cheese with the jalapeno bagel and today's special which had avocado and greens on it. Followed by a latte and a hot chocolate. Both bagels and the drinks were good. Recommend their toasted garlic spread..too good. I also liked the ambience of that place, looking like it was running out of a garage. Good customer service too. Would definitely recommend this place.

YUM!! Get bagels here!! Hi my name is Moani and I am a carb-aholic so you should know I mean it when i say these bagels are AMAZING! They are so soft but still have enough firmness to hold up as a bagel sandwich. I am definitely coming back and stocking up to bring home with me next time I'm in the area. It's a cute little shop with a huge parking lot (so parking will better be an issue). Once you walk in you see a menu of sandwiches they offer and all the bagel flavors they have and then to the left is the legendary bagel making station... someone is there literally shaping the bagels on a belt and it's amazing. They have bar stool seating as well as regular: The flavors of bagels were so exciting I had a hard time choosing! They have your standard flavors like blueberry, poppy, sesame, everything, 3 cheese, japlapeno, cinnamon raisin, and more but they also have banh mi, pumpernickel, choco chip, cranberry orange, rosemary, bacon cheddar, garlic parm, etc! They also have various spreads that you can purchase or add to your sandwich. Staff was wonderful!! it was about $12 for a half dozen but SO worth it.

A must while on the island!! While they aren't New York bagels, they definitely hit the spot. Smaller, denser bagels with SO many flavor, sandwich and schmear choices. Sweet staff and prompt service. We went on Saturday and we're so excited to go back Monday to find they are only open on the weekend so if needed, they do sell bagels in the grocer a few doors down.

FYI - Only open weekends, hours incorrect here & google. There is a note on door which isn't helpful if you reply on digital resources other than FB (ew!), maybe plan elsewhere.

I would give this place 10 stars if I could! They have a wide variety of bagel flavors, but get there early because they run out. I was too late for an onion bagel today, but the black Olive & fresh basil was delicious! While we were enjoying our bagels a young girl came in who looked to be about 6. She had cash in one hand, a sticky note with her order in the other. She approached the counter and was greeted warmly by the sweetest employee who took the order and when she realized the little girl was a few dollars short, she pulled some money from the tip jar to make up the difference. I jumped off and offered to cover the shortage, but the employee refused. All of our hearts grew three sizes and I swear the bagels tasted better after that sweet scene. Then we realized that behind us, a few employees were making a batch of bagels. It was the perfect ending for our visit.

10/10!! The best bagels on the west coast. The rosemary bagel is absolutely delicious. Bagel sandwich or even a basic bagel with cream cheese- you can't go wrong.

We got two breakfast sandwiches to go. The BLT on everything bagel and the Pesto and egg on plane bagel. You can request your egg cooked any way you like. Sandwich's were decent size and filling. Highly recommend stopping here if you're taking the ferry and need a breakfast stop.

Be warned that due to staffing shortages, this place can sometimes have funky hours, so when I visited it was only open Saturdays and Sundays from 7am to 3pm. I went on a Saturday morning and it had a very long line, but the staff is efficient at taking peoples orders and moving everyone along, so it took a shorter time to order than initially expected. The bagels are made fresh in store (you can see someone preparing the dough!), and you can taste the freshness with each bite, so I'd definitely recommend this spot if you're in the mood for a bagel!

Oh my goodness, these were the BEST. I tried the avocado toast, because I'm a sucker for avocado and pickled red onion, and it was incredible. I asked the girl at the counter what bagel she would recommend with it and she suggested the rosemary chive. I only wish I had gotten one of that flavor to take home! They are only open on the weekends, so plan ahead. It's a small shop but there is good seating and it's a fun atmosphere! Don't miss during your visit to Whidbey Island!

Been here twice and love the bagels, I am from NYC had a hard time finding a good bagel but this place is the best!

Such a great place! Since it's right off the ferry, it's a no brainer to stop here first.

Bagels are amazing, However I question how sanitary this place is after watching the dough boy (making the bagels) drop dough on the floor, pick it up and set it next to the rest of the dough that was ready to be cooked, Also he didn't wash his hands after picking it up off the floor and instead proceeded with what he was doing. Had he not heard our conversation he most definitely would've put it back through the machine and used it off the floor. I asked "saving that dough for later?" and that's when he tossed it out. So many code violations! Gross.

Loved the garlic pesto bagel with sausage, egg and cheese. I also liked the wall of hot sauces to choose from for my sandwich. Service was quick and there's some tables with Whidbey guide books available to read. Got to come back for the garlic parmesan bagel.

I am so glad they are open again! If you like a good bagel you need to try these bagels. Service: 5 Stars Food: 5 Stars Atmosphere: 5 Stars I buy here regularly because the bagels are delicious. I almost always get a dozen, because when I get a half dozen my family gobbles them up so fast I sometimes don't get one. I make sandwiches with these and they are great. The couple times I have ordered their sandwiches I have been happy with my meal. The service is effective and polite. They are willing to answer questions and give recommendations. If you are here on a busy weekend there can be a bit of a wait. The efficiency of the staff keeps the line moving and the food coming out in a reasonable amount of time. It is worth the stop.

This is the best place for breakfast or lunch in the Seattle area! I particularly like the bacon kimchi bagel sandwich on a Banh mi bagel. These bagels are the real deal! Authentic boiled and baked New York style bagels. Can't say enough about how good these bagels are! It's off the beaten path. But if you come to Whidbey Island this would be your first stop. There are three locations two on Whidbey Island (Clinton and Oak Harbor) and in Mt Vernon.

Place sells some of the best bagels I have ever had! Would recommend checking it out.

The bagels are so fresh and the cream cheese practically melts in your mouth!! The menu is pretty extensive with delicious sounding options! Staff is always friendly, helpful and informative!! Great ambiance too! Inviting and warm...also very clean! We can't wait to go back!!

Great bagels. Can be costly to get them if you don't live on WI since you have to take a ferry ride. Highly recommend. Good bagels are hard to find the the Seattle area.

Definitely worth the visit if you're on Whidbey Island! I moved to Seattle from NYC recently and it's been hard finding anything that satisfies that New York bagel craving. This place definitely hit the spot for us. Excellent and friendly service, a ton of fun bagel & cream cheese flavors, and lots of toppings too. We came here around 10am on a summer Saturday and the line wasn't too bad (we waited 5 mins to order and another 5-10 mins to receive our order). We ordered the BLT w/ egg (on an artichoke jalapeño cheese bagel) and the lox (with salmon cream cheese, on an onion bagel since the everything bagel was sold out). I wasn't a huge fan of the block of scrambled egg (it wasn't made fresh so it was a bit devoid of texture/taste) and I couldn't really taste much of the artichoke in the bagel, but everything else was on point. Lox was delish and the salmon cream cheese was INCREDIBLE (and they didn't charge us more for it). Make sure to get it toasted :)

Update: BANH MI BAGELS ARE BACK! So it's back to being the best bagel shop ever! Don't miss this spot!!

Great bagels and great service!! Solid place to visit and have delicious bagels (and for a great price!). They have an impressive variety of both sweet and savory bagels and Spreads. We tried the rosemary and sea salt, everything, cinnamon raisin, cranberry orange and honestly loved them all. Also got the smoked salmon caper and roasted garlic chive cream cheese.

Always fresh, always amazing. Keep your crew warm and happy with toasted bagel Sammies!! -Don't forget to visit the humongous, free roaming turtle next-door at the pet shop. (that local pet shop does a lot for the animals in our community, purchase your little friend a souvenir of toy or treats!!)

The bagels are phenomenal and so fresh. I have eaten more than 100 times and have never been disappointed! It can be busy so be prepared to wait if it's a weekend and chat with your neighbor.

This place is amazing. The bagels--and selection--are outstanding. We get up and drive from Greenbank to Clinton a couple of mornings a week to pick up ham, egg and cheese bagels (on three cheese bagels) to bring back to our rented cottage for breakfast. They also have lunch offerings. Best bagels I've ever eaten!

So many options of spreads and bagels! Definitely get there early as they ran out of some fan favs. They are understaff so there was a bit of a wait, but super friendly faces. There is no indoor seating so be prepared to get messy and eat in ur car. The garlic parm pesto bagel was phenomenal and wish I could have tried the banh mi or artichoke bagels. I got the bacon pepperoncini jalapeño spread which I wish there was more of a kick or bite to it. The chai tasted more like steamed apple juice which was interesting. Overall, great place for bagels.

If you like donut shaped bread then you will like this place. If you ever have had an actual bagel this place will be a huge disappointment. These absolutely are NOT authentic boiled bagels. The crust is soft and not chewy, the crumb is gummy and the wrong density and the flour is low gluten and no malt whatsoever. This is bread and hype. Pathetic really. Update: 9/15/23 The business owner responded to me and I am frankly gobsmacked. I dont know who he thinks I am but I assure you that I was with my daughter and in no way assaulted anyone! In fact, the staff was awesome. However it does seem to explain much. The owner is just as delusional about his patrons as he is about his bread bagels. He sounds like a self important blowhard who has never come to grips with the hard truth of his mediocrity. So sad.

This was our first food stop when we got to Whidbey Island, and we couldn't have been happier. We got here around 12:45 pm on a Sunday afternoon. There wasn't a line to order, but there were a couple of people waiting for their orders. There weren't too many bagels in the baskets in display, so we asked if they had any other types of bagels other then the ones in their basket. They seem to be making bagels throughout the day, which is a huge plus (fresh bagels? yes, please). I got a turkey club on an everything bagel, while my husband got a heart attack on an everything bagel, along with an americano and a double shot of espresso. The drinks were ready super quick, the sandwiches did take a little longer. But man, was that wait worth it. There was a steady stream of customers as well. It seemed quicker to just get bagels and cream cheese containers to go if you want to make it quick. My husband and I were starving, and MAN did these bagels hit the spot. The turkey club was SO good. I scarfed it down. My husband loved his heart attack (ham, sausage, egg, cheese). Most of all, those bagels were amazing. They were that good chewy on the inside, with a great exterior. I really wish I would have gotten a sweet bagel (cinnamon raisin or something) with cream cheese too. My husband and I talked about those bagels the whole time we were on Whidbey. Next time we're on Whidbey Island, we will most def. be making a stop here.

Run! Don't Walk this place is Great! Bagels like I have never had ( and yes I've been to New York) toasted with a smear always a favorite but egg and cheese are pretty good also. We are on the island twice a year and never miss this place. Enjoy!

Tasty bagels! It was pretty busy there since it's near the ferry but the staff were friendly. One staff asked us what we were doing in Whidbey for the day. We went on a whim and had no plans. He gave us a map and suggested a path for us to take with our kids. His suggestion was very appreciated.

They're back, baby, and we couldn't be happier for them...and the rest of us! Best bagels, hands down from here to NYC, including a variety of unique flavors. They also make incredibly high quality and flavorful sandwiches, with homemade pastrami, corned beef, and various other options. This shop is locally owned by a passionate entrepreneur who cares about his customers, his product, and most importantly, his staff. Can't wait to continuously patronize and indulge, massive congrats and thanks to the team for their comeback!

Bagels were tasty but I had to knock down a couple of stars due to concern for cleanliness. (I tried to look for a way to contact management directly about this but wasn't able to find a business website or email for them.) I visited the Clinton location on 1/29 around 11 AM. There was a young gentleman at the register taking orders. He was very pleasant and friendly, however I noticed that he was wearing gloves but was still touching everything (register, pen, etc) between handling bagels with his gloved hands. This is one of my biggest pet peeves: if you're not switching gloves or sanitizing between touching food and the register, then that defeats the purpose of the gloves! At the very least, I would recommend to use tongs to grab the bagels rather than handling them directly with gloves that have been touching surfaces that are unclean. I hope this is addressed ASAP, particularly in the middle of a pandemic!

Whidbey Island Bagel Factory is my favorite bagel spot in WA State. I saw this on a news segment a while back and knew I had to come. It is about a 5 min drive from the ferry terminal. When we arrived, we saw a line of 6 people deep and knew this place must be good. I like how they have a big sign outside advertising what they have to sell so we knew ahead of time instead of coming to the counter and then deciding. I met John the owner and he was the nicest and most accommodating with our order. We got half a dozen to go and 2 of them were toasted right there for us to eat. I got the rosemary chive with smoked salmon and it was so good. Reminded me of my two trips to NYC. This is a must stop on Whidbey Island!

Had a great experience here! Busy day with a line out the door, but it moved quickly. Staff was super friendly and welcoming. We got bagel sandwiches and a couple of coffees - delicious! So good we went back to get bagels to go. Loved the blueberry lemon cream cheese. This is a must if on the island!

Legit bagels on Whidbey island! Stopped here for a quick snacky as i was starving coming off the ferry. got the sesame bagel toasted with a schmear of garlic and chive. So delicious! Great thin crust on outside and nice soft but chewy center! They have some unique flavors (both bagel flavors and cream cheese flavors) but figure i would go pretty standard first go around!

Edit to ensure people check to see if they're open, looks like they have limited opening times now again! Yay!!

Holy moly bagel. I'm going to be honest. I've never been a big bagel fine. I like a bagel with lox and the works but don't ever find myself craving one. That has all changed now. We got a bakers dozen for six people so we could have leftovers the next day. The rosemary sea salt was a perfect savory bagel. The plain was also so so good. We also tried their cranberry orange cream cheese which was pretty tasty. The orange really have it a citrus kick. Can't wait to go back.

Came into town for a job and stopped by for breakfast and now I want to move here! Best bagel I've ever had and dairy free the staff were incredibly nice as well! 10/10 experience

Grabbed a couple bagels to go on a Saturday morning. A super cool little bagel stop with a ton of variety and good prices. The bagels were made fresh and you could even watch them use the machine to make them. I tried the jalepeno cheddar and it was very flavorful and soft. I also got a latte & it was a very good coffee and even came with a couple chocolate covered coffee beans! Would recommend!

Best bagels in town and surrounding area! Staff super friendly, bagels generous size and such a diversity of flavors and cream cheeses. Bagels themselves are chewy but fluffy- just as a bagel should be. We ordered almost one of each flavor plus three cream cheeses- each bagel tasted per the sweet or savory flavor it was titled- bacon cheddar, olive, banh mi, garlic and parmesan, etc. the cream cheeses were whipped, light and so flavorful! We stored our leftover bagels in ziplocs and they retained their moisture and flavor through the week! Very impressed with this spot :) i live in Everett and look forward to my next trip to Whidbey/ for these bagels!

Have driven from Edmonds to Mt. Vernon for the new location of Whidbey Island Bagel Factory 3 times!! Bagels are outstanding... customer service is *amazing*; let me clarify that a bit. Both times I checked my order before walking too far from the pickup counter. 2 out of 3 times my order was not correct. I went back to the window, described the situation and the amazing ladies gave me the items I had ordered and made the situation right in such a nice, lighthearted, genuinely friendly way... I understand the bagels freeze well, so I'll continue to go but get more on each trip & freeze some. HIGHLY Recommend this place!! Great bagels, great staff!!

Delicious soft bagels, yummy spreads. Fam had breakfast bagels. Eating at a table under the overhang in the drizzle. Love the nw!

We'd heard great things about their bagels and were not disappointed! Perfectly chewy thin skin, fluffy on the inside, and deliciously flavored. There was a wide selection of savory and sweet, and we tried a couple of each. Stand out favorite so far is Saul and Pepper, but we're happily working our way through. Thank you for enforcing social distancing and masks during pick up. Next visit - Bagel Sandwich!

Great customer service, quality food at an exceptional price! From toasting a bagel and adding your favorite in-house spread to a great ubique sand which such as the curry chicken salad or a all time favorite club... everything's put on a bagel and ready to go!!! Highly recommend as a Go to spot!!! if your visiting whidbey! Also make sure to check out the sculpture park afterwards don't forget to try the cult classic bahnmi bagel

By far my favorite breakfast spot in Whidbey Island! Every flavor of bagel and cream cheese you can think of!

Best bagels on Whidbey Island easily and probably in the greater north of Seattle area. I wish they stayed open later or maybe made more bagels as they tend to run out if you're not there by noon or so. Worth stopping in if you're coming across the Mukilteo to Clinton ferry it's just five minutes or so up the highway. Grab half a dozen for your weekend and share them with friends. I am not tried the sandwiches here but everyone that has loves them. And check out the thrift store a few doors down.
