Went here for a date night, whisky and the jazz, unfortunately, got a table in the corner that was blocked by a pillar so we couldn’t see the band, but it was ok.
The washroom is horrific though. The designer should be fired. The people who approved it should also be fired. It’s super dark and all painted in freaky red like a horror movie. If you get drunk in that place , DON’T go to the toilet. There’s a high chance you will fall in the dark and probably die.
We enjoyed the food. It’s all vegan and somewhat expensive to be honest. For a whisky place, no meat makes it seem like something is missing. But the food was good. If you are big eaters, order the mains because the starters are about 2/3 the price but way way smaller.
Band was ok but in the end, it was more like background music as we enjoyed conversing more. I think it’s because we were in the back and our view was blocked so it just seemed like an extra.
There was a large variety of whisky but only 1 flight was available on the menu. For a whisky place, that was pretty surprising, considering that most other whisky places have multiple flights available for tasting. The flight was nicely planned and it made me wonder what else they could have offered.
The cocktails we tried were not bad. Worth trying.
Service was good too. Considering that there were only 2 service staff running around all night. They were constantly moving and working really hard. Kudos to them!
