Solid food good drinks friendly staff. Our waitress was very attentive even though the place was packed. Stopped in for a business dinner all the appetizers were amazing I recommend the deviled eggs and brussel sprouts. For dinner I had the Cuban sandwich and fries very good I'll be back to try other items off the menu.

We were there for lunch, so maybe an unfair way to judge, but I like this small bar/restaurant. They have a well-stocked bar, a number of their own craft cocktail creations, plus they can make all the classics. I had the party melt, which came with a fresh dressed salad of arugula. The patty melt itself was one of the better renditions of this classic sandwich. It was topped with perfectly caramelized onions, gruyere cheese, and Russian dressing really great bread. The way u beef patty was cooked exactly right, and was tender and juicy. The salmon was perfectly cooked and declared sensational. The service was excellent. Great cocktails, great bar food and full meals.; what more can you ask for.

Google
The ambiance was relaxed and cozy. Although the food was a bit salty and served cold, the presentation and the overall experience was enjoyable. They offer a large selection of dry wines, but unfortunately, there are no options in the semi-sweet to sweet range. However, there is a full bar, so cocktails are available as an alternative. The prices were fair, considering the upscale nature of the restaurant. The service was excellent; we were seated promptly, and the staff provided menu suggestions based on our preferences.

Google
Easy late night place! Loved the fried pickles and the wedge salad, thought the grilled cheese, burger and fries were also good. Salad was the standout for me for sure.

Google
Drinks were great! Food was very good. Our waitress Madison was very nice and took care of us.

Google
The food is great, this is my third time visiting this place and every time it is great. The service is also great. As always, I will keep going back.

Google
Went here with a big group. They have console tables, which made eating with a big group a little tricky. We ordered the short rib grilled cheese sandwich with some adult beverages. The food was good but was a little too dry for my liking - it would've made it better by adding a nice spread and possibly more cheese. All in all, still a good experience.

Yelp
Food was great! Service is excellent. Overall experience was superb! Going back this weekend.

Yelp
First of all YUM! A group of 5 of us enjoyed the scallops, lamb chops, crab gnocchi, crab corn chowder and a chi Ken sandwich along with the craveable bourbon bacon caramel popcorn. Every dish was superb! Properly cooked, awesome presentation and delicious. The service was 5-Star restaurant. Every person was friendly, respectable and provided excellent customer service. The restaurant is clean and very inviting. I recommend 11/10 times.

Yelp
This place has gone downhill. Used to be a great place to get food on weekend nights, but i didn't have a good experience this time. Their food was horrible. Ordered the steak sandwich with fries. The fries was way too salty and too much cheeses on it. Their sandwich used to be the best. The bread was burnt, their steak was so salty it was not eatable at all, and I asked for the steak to be medium cooked but to me that was well done and even burnt a little bit. I'm not sure what has gone wrong, but will go back again to try this place and see if it is any better in the future. The server Kayvon was super nice and attentive to our needs.

Yelp
So we're visiting SLC for the first time, and this was the first bar we went to. I was definitely caught off guard by the fact that there was someone sitting outside checking IDs. I just wasn't expecting it, because I wasn't familiar with how stringent the area is with alcohol. Anyway, they were a little rude, because I had walked past him without showing ID, but I legitimately didn't realize he even worked there. Anyway, once we're IDed and make it in, the host basically tells us that all of the tables are reserved and we can sit at the bar if we can find seats. That also caught me off guard, because I's considered making a reservation, but I was looking at their website less than 15 minutes earlier, and there were plenty of times available so I didn't see a need. Anyway, that was a bit shaky of a beginning to our visit, but thankfully it ended there. We sat at the bar, and it was actually probably a nicer experience than we would have had at a table. We had the BBQ spare ribs, fried pickles, and spicy asian wings. For the wings they offered three different spice levels, and I selected the middle one. They was a perfectly spicy heat level: enough to make my lips tingle, but not so much that I couldn't taste the flavor of the wings. A few cocktails: the old fashioned, wood &thyme, ranch water and mexican mule. We finished off with the apple crostata and peanut butter s'more desserts. I didn't love the fried pickles, just something about the breading and the way they kind of fell apart.. but every drink and all the other food items were outstanding. I took off a star, because the beginning of our visit was almost enough to make me turn around and walk away before going in. Still 4 stars, because I'm glad I didn't. As long as you're conscious of the fact that there is a man carding you in front and maybe make a reservation you'll be good!

Yelp
Another great visit to Whiskey Street for drinks and some nice food. By the name, Whiskey is the specialty with a bevy of classics, but there's plenty of beers and wine too. Food wise...lots of eclectic, edgy appetizers and food choices that match the great vibe of the place. Nice folks there too. Great service by Lexi.
google avatar

Yelp
Love the vibe here! Our waitress was SUPER sweet, the food was good, and, although the poutine was not what I expected at all, it was still yummy:)

Yelp
Came into Whiskey Street while visiting Salt Lake City right before the park city film festival. Whiskey Street has an old school speakeasy vibe and decor. A lot of dark woods and brick. I tried a smoked old fashioned that was recommended by the bartender. It was decent. He used a special whiskey that is specifically made for them by Makers Mark I believe. It was a bit harsh to be honest. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. A little too much profanity for my liking, but, it is a bar after all. Overall the experience was good, the atmosphere was good and the drinks were good. I'd stay away from the bartenders recommendation next time, as I have a pretty standard old fashioned that I like and stick with. Give Whiskey Street a try, you'll enjoy the ambience.

Yelp
Sigh. This place was really a miss for us even though we had such high hopes. The high point was the short rib polenta poutine and the Bourbon Bacon Caramel Popcorn. After that, it went unfortunately downhill. My friend got the potato soup and the steak. She unfortunately did not either one. Another friend ordered the ahi tuna with the chili relleno, and sent the Relleno back due to it being cold and she said the tuna was just bad. I got the NY steak sandwich which i requested medium rare and was very well done. It also said it was a sandwich and it came with one piece of bread. It did not say it was an open face sandwich or steak on toast. It said sandwich, to that is normally two pieces of bread. It took forever to get anyone's attention after the food arrived so I just attempted to eat it, but wished I had just gotten a hot dog from a neighboring place. Two other friends ordered variations of the burger which they both said was just ok and also over cooked. I was so looking forward to this place. It has a good amount of options, an extensive drink menu, and was super packed. Unfortunately it did not turn out great for us.

Yelp
"Where's the lamb sauce????" The lamb was bland but well-presented, I would say the flavour was mediocre. The best part of the dish was the potatoes. I know this place can have really great food and amazing service from a previous visit, and it's a beautiful place to eat and drink. I just wouldn't order the lamb.

Yelp
A WHISKEY DRINKERS DREAM! We came here with a small group of. The old fashioned was perfect! They have whiskey ranging from $7 to $500. I love options!! The truffle fries were good, deviled eggs with the bacon were tasty. I had the salmon and it was fabulous! My friend got the gnocchi, I tried it and it was pretty good, and a big portion. The others in the party got a burger and it looked great. The service was good, we went on a Thursday night around 5:30, and it wasn't too crowded, it did get packed and very loud by about 7. Parking was a bit of a struggle so be aware of that.

Yelp
Made a little impromptu visit into SLC when I was in the area. I was really craving some sort of red meat and thought... why not check out this cool place that looks super busy on a Wednesday night? I was dining solo tonight, so I took a seat at the bar. I ended up getting the Rosemary Lamb Chops (heck yeah!) and some draft sour beer (the name escapes me because wasn't super sour). Overall, a very delightful meal with great service. When I came back home, I was telling my friend about how I would definitely go back to SLC and she said "check out Whiskey Street next time!" I'm glad I made it to a good spot without even knowing.

Yelp
Super busy on a Saturday night, but managed to find a table for 3 at the bar. Their food and drinks here never disappoint and extremely grateful we were able to find seating since it was a 2 hour wait for a table. With such a busy night, our food still came out within 15 minutes! Braised short ribs were so tender and delicious. Sauce was a bit on the sweeter side, but I didn't mind it. The lettuce wraps were amazing and definitely something I'll order again. Best to eat it with a fork and knife since there's a lot of sauce on the lettuce itself which may lead to spilling out the other side when attempting to eat it like a taco. Their cucumber Moscow mule is refreshing and highly recommended. Bartenders really know how to craft your drinks and cocktails here.

Yelp
Delicious food, nothing we ordered disappointed. We were a party of 8, and the service was wonderful and upbeat. The environment is pretty loud, but that is to be expected in a bar-type restaurant. ***PLEASE NOTE! If you need accommodations for ADA, this is NOT the place for you. All the tables are lofted/bar height, with very narrow & busy walkways. If you are handicapped, are prone to tripping, or struggle to climb into high chairs, please do not come here. I was very surprised how not ADA friendly this restaurant was.***

Yelp
Another excellent recommendation from Yelp!! Food was seriously tasty and filling. Service from Megan superb Atmosphere is perfect. Music and comfortable booths.

Yelp
We came in for a quick drink. I ordered the pepino malvado and squatters pale ale. The place was very busy on a Wednesday night. The drinks were very good and we liked the atmosphere. We would have stayed longer but were going next door for dinner. I definitely recommend this place if you are in area.

Yelp
Lamb chops were on another level of amazing, brisket grilled cheese was melty and amazing, deviled eggs were overstuffed and silky. Loved the drinks and apps and can't wait to go back

Yelp
Downtown SLC has quite a few spots open late nights (1am) serving food and drinks. With that said, places get full quickly so use the Yelp app to reserve your spot because, after 9 pm, people are dead set to get out and have fun. When we arrived, we got lucky to sit at a semi-private booth, but we were located towards the back of the restaurant at the kitchen entry point & next to the Staff's staging and prep area. That was an issue at first but we realized everything was full so went with the flow. Lots of activity, but not a lot of attention once we got our initial order in. We went the appetizer route as it was pretty late and we were exhausted. Had started out with the Asian Spicy Wings, Deviled Eggs, Pork Belly Lettuce Wraps & Salt Roasted Beet Salad (which was a large portion). We were stuffed at that point, but then I caught another server bringing out some scallops that smelled amazing. So I ordered and let's just say, no regrets!!! The Pork Belly Tacos didn't hit as expected & despite the beet salad being really big, it was lacking a signature flavor... flavor, which you would expect from the grapes, nuts and vinaigrette... and the presentation. Drinks were as expected and they have a lot of Bourbons as one should expect given the name. I'd try again and work off the main course or brunch. I'll push for a different table & area as I think that is why I ended up with 3 Stars.

Yelp
Loved this place! The food was great. Our server was so so friendly. Loved the atmosphere, super bright inside with a super cool bar wall.

Yelp
Whiskey Street is a Salt Lake City bar scene staple! I love that the menu is seemingly endless and you can get a wide variety of both food and drinks. The place is loud and a little hectic, but that's the nature of a popular spot like this. Definitely slightly less elevated than White Horse, but it's a fun vibe. The people who work here are nice and friendly. I would go back over and over and have enjoyed coming here with friends.
google avatar

Emily S.

Yelp
Come for the drinks, stay for the food! I love the variety of drink options at Whiskey Street (there's something for everyone). It can get fairly crowded in the evenings, especially on weekends, so be prepared to potentially have a wait for a table, but it's worth it. Cool vibe and ambiance inside as well that makes for a great night. 21+ restaurant even at brunch time.
google avatar

Angela S.

Yelp
We love whiskey and this spot wasn't far from our hotel so we went for a drink and ended up staying for food and multiple drinks because WOW. Matt was a STELLAR bartender. It's pretty rare these days to have someone ask you what you enjoy drinking and then just continually hit it out of the park creating new drinks for you to enjoy based on your taste. SLC was not our favorite city, so we probably won't be back, but this was absolutely a highlight! If you're ever stuck in the weird twilight zone of Utah's capital, we recommend you escape here for a bit!
google avatar

Sandra S.

Yelp
We came here for a Sunday evening just for drinks, but we ended up ordering food as well! I got the Cajun pasta, and my fiancé had like this brisket melt. With my Cajun pasta, it was definitely decent as they had good huge shrimps and some sausages, but I feel could be more flavorful especially for the price range. The brisket sandwich melt was cheesy, also felt like it could of been more flavorful with different varieties but still overall good for bar food! For drinks, it wished they did have pitchers but we had to order drinks individually. We had a few appetizers such as deviled eggs, truffles fries which were delicious!
google avatar

Curtis G.

Yelp
Excellent whiskey bar/restaurant in the heart of Salt Lake. They had a really nice amount of whiskies available. They had specialty whiskey drinks, bourbons, ryes, Irish whiskeys, scotch and an plenty of wine and beer options. The food was excellent. I had the Bourbon Black Bean chili , the Wedge Salad and the Tasso Chicken Club sandwich. All were very good and the prices were pretty good. The place has a cool speakeasy vibe. The service was excellent. I sat at the bar and the bartender was great. He tended to everything I needed and had a lot of great info on some different whiskies.
google avatar

Kim A.

Yelp
This local bar made me fall in love with SLC! The staff is super friendly and very attentive. The drinks are reasonably priced for top shelf liquor. They have a large selection of Bourbon, whiskies, scotch, and everything else you can think of. The waitress recommended the Wood and Thyme, which is an old fashioned made with Woodford Reserve and Thyme sprigs. The drink was delicious! I had 4 more rounds, and so did the rest of my group. We were hooked! The food here was delicious. Large portions, and flavorful entrees. The burgers are huge. The Salmon was flaky and moist. The cheese curds were also a hit! If ever I visit again and this bar is still around, I will definitely be back for more!
google avatar

Yelp
Whiskey Street is right in the heart of Main Street of SLC. Parking can be a little bit of a mess but there's spots right down the street near a park/parking lot. I would suggest a reservation but there is bar seating if you want to just grab a drink. Their selection of drinks/alcohol is huge and they have a lot of amazing cocktails. Their food is amazing too, I would highly recommend the brussel sprouts as an appy.
google avatar

Sasha W.

Yelp
Idk why I haven't reviewed this place before. We usually sit at the bar and the drinks are always great. Friday the 2nd, we had the best drinks from a bartender w long dark hair and bangs. Working on the east side of the bar furthest from the front door. The other bartenders drinks were good, but hers were amazing. I didn't catch her name. This bar is lively, cozy and everyone is so friendly. The food is delicious.
google avatar

Deanne B.

Yelp
Love all the different kinds of old fashioned drinks they have. A great place for a drink before/during a night out.
google avatar

Yelp
Wow! Wow! Wow! Where do i start?! Great whiskey and cocktails! Phenomenal service! Often crowded but always cool! But the food... Went this most recent time with a few friends. We sampled many dishes and every one was delectable! The flavors were so amazing and comforting. This is my go to spot when im headed DT!
google avatar

Jake B.

Yelp
Really cool spot for a drink. We hung out at the standing bar (it's so popular that there wasn't any seating available), which was honestly really cool. The drinks themselves were great, too. A historic spot in SLC, and I see why!

J D.

Yelp
The food is good...the drinks though, are top notch. The restaurant had a fun vibe, but it got a bit loud in the evening. The waiter didn't take the initiative and we had to call him over often, but the service was okay. If seated in the back, its very dark and we had to use our phones flashlight to read the menu. Overall, fun experience and the mixologists know what they're doing.
google avatar

Jake A.

Yelp
This was one I was looking forward to always because every time I have gone in the past, it was an awesome experience. However, in this case, when we got there, we were checked in by the door with ID, which I appreciate, but the wait for a booth was 30 mins plus, and it was not worth the wait this time around. Maybe in the future, If I go again, I can update this, but it was a pure letdown, and it was sad because I was talking a big game to my friends about this place specifical. Again it may have been because of all the other events going on downtown or the Holidays not sure prob a mix of both. The place was clean, the staff was super nice, and I do recall the drinks were tasty overall. Hope next time it won't be as busy; we can get a booth/ table and enjoy the drinks and food as before.

Yelp
Great place. Awesome atmosphere. The food was outstanding. Will definitely be back when in town.

Yelp
We got the Jameson pancakes, the bagel sandwich, and the daily special (mascarpone stuffed French toast with spicy fried chicken). I love brunch here, the staff is very friendly and the cocktails are perfect. The food here is always amazing.

Yelp
Our first stop of the 8 day tour; we were in search of a place for a late lunch. All of us were quite happy that with our experience here. At 2pm on a Saturday, the place was not too crowded, we were asked to produce ID as required by law; the place is very interesting with excellent service and good food. We had the breakfast burgers (with an egg), a chopped salad and some BBQ ribs. The burgers were excellent and substantial, ribs were quite tasty and generous, the salad may be the weakest of all; it was chopped iceberg, salty olives and some meats. I should've known better. Beer was pretty good too. We sat for a while to enjoy the uniquely beautiful interior and the relaxed old time vibe. It was a great find.
google avatar

Sophia L.

Yelp
Great food, drinks, and service. It's a bit loud to have a great conversation at dinner time but definitely worth the visit overall
google avatar

Emily L.

Yelp
Service food and drinks come out great. Bar tenders are the highlight for this place. I have come here about three timess and it never fails. I always find the host stand to be a little dry w personality but maybe it's just the way they do things.

Yelp
What a FUN welcome to Salt Lake City! It was my first time staying in the area (for work) and I'm always trying to find the top food and beverage spots around my hotel. Whiskey Street caught my eye, so I walked in and had a seat at the bar. It was completely full. Poppin' energy with lively convention groups and sports games playing on the TVs above the bar. I ordered a Tokyo Old Fashioned and El Pepino Malvado. Two completely different cocktails but both SOOO good and refreshing. Very thoughtfully crafted. Service here is just the best. The bartenders kept checking on me and the other solo diners sitting at the bar. Love the overall vibe here, from the décor to how much natural light gets let into the restaurant. For food, I started with the Deviled Eggs, with pimento cheese, bourbon smoked paprika, bacon, pickled mustard seed, and chives. SOOO GOOD!! My favorite part of the meal. Then I went overboard and got the Whiskey Burger. I mean, I couldn't turn down that ancho chile aioli and house BBQ sauce! I definitely ate too much between that and the addictive fries. Overall wonderful location. I was skeptical about Whiskey Street because it seems like your average dive bar/pub, but it's really the customer service and quality of food and drink that makes it stand out. Coming here anytime I'm in town. Check it out whether you're local to Salt Lake City or find yourself visiting for a few days. Totally worth the adventure.

Yelp
I like it here a lot. Good beer selection, but tonight felt like having an old fashioned. The opportunity and variety did not disappoint. The bartender was very helpful in making a decision. Went with the High West American Prairie cognac version and it was oh so smooth. So smooth I had to have 2. Went on to have the soy bourbon glaze salmon and it was fantastic umami. The heavy mustard on the potatoes kind of clashed, but I ain't mad about it. Finished with green beans, it was a very solid dish.
google avatar

Julius P.

Yelp
The buffalo cauliflower is incredible. We also ordered the Caesar salad. This is always an enjoyable experience with great food. We ordered a cider but they have a HUGE selection of drinks. A chill and mellow vibe, very nice place. The service was also very friendly and good.
google avatar

Yelp
Ambiance is a little dark like a bistro bar setting. There is a long bar to sit at for parties of 1 or 2 people. There are booths to sit at by reservation and long hightop tables for communal group seating. Service was a bit snotty from the bouncer who checked id's at the door to the bar tenders who could have been a little friendlier when serving drinks and making us feel like we were being rushed to order food. The food was alright. We started with the Deviled Eggs, which were tasty and creative in the presentation. We both ordered salads as our meals. My salad, a chopped chicken salad, was pretty good, though it was very basic with iceberg lettuce and vinegar dressing. My husband got the NY Steak Salad, and though it had a variety of lettuces, his steak was very chewy with tendons and muscle running through every piece. He should have sent it back and ordered something different, but we were afraid it would piss off the bartender who took our order. If it had not been for the great variety of bourbons for my bourbon drinking spouse, I would not recommend this restaurant.
google avatar

Yelp
To begin the review I must say this is quite the experience. The cocktails are perfectly balanced with unique flavor profiles! The service was timely with more than welcoming staff and management. Andy and Sydney in particular more than hospitable individuals. The ambiance is great and they have a wonderful selection of whiskeys. The stand out piece of our time here was the High West MidWinter Dram Old Fashion. I must say it may only be an old fashion at the end of the day but definitely unlike the rest and a must try! If you're looking for a more unique flavor the peanut butter cup old fashion was immaculate as well. I have been here twice and have yet to be disappointed in any of the pillars of what make a great establishment. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Lee S.

Yelp
We love this place! Always the first choice before heading to the Eccles for a show. Staff is terrific, as are the drink selection and execution. The popcorn and deviled eggs have always been must-haves, and now the poutine is added to that list. What a killer dish!
google avatar

Noah P.

Yelp
Thurs afternoon, not busy. Waited 10 minutes at the bar for a beer as bartenders crossed back and forth. Finally asked for a local draft pale or IPA recommendation. Bartender came back with a can and a swifter glass that was not good. Place looks cool and menu looked good, but if you can't get a beer you ordered in a timely manner why stay? Take your money elsewhere.

Yelp
I literally stumbled upon this restaurant! And I can't tell you that I am so happy I did!! The atmosphere was speakeasy- ish.. which is always a great vibe. If you've never been to utah (as this is my first time) they require you to show your ID when going into a restaurant that serves alcohol.. no matter your age!! Kind of a trio actually.. Once inside you're greeted with the walls of whiskey!! And the awesome mixologists.. I asked my server for their signature cocktail - the rotisserie inn- named after the establishment that was here 100 years ago.. I also ordered the crab Louis salad and the brisket dip! Delicious and flavorful! Clark my server was really attentive and provided excellent service!! If you're in Downtown Salt lake I highly recommend you give this a go!!

Yelp
The best food variety, drinks and service always is fast and top notch! Such a romantic classy vibe I would def recommend!

Yelp
Favorite dinner spot when downtown, great food and atmosphere. Fun to sit at the bar and catch a Jazz game or get a table on the patio when the weather is nice. Service is always friendly, bartenders are knowledgeable and give great recommendations. Menu seems to rotate on occasion, fun to try the specials and trust they'll be delish
google avatar

Kevin O.

Yelp
What a lively and fun place! They serve up a selection of Old Fashioneds. I enjoyed a couple and the Peanut Butter Cup was my favorite. A little deserty, but not too much so. Kind of a Belching Beaver (beer) but with a whiskey take. Surprising and yummy. I also dug into some out-of-this-world rosemary lamb chops. I used to get a whole lamb every year in Idaho fresh off the farm. And these tender chops matched the complex, fresh, slightly gamey, utterly satisfying taste of top-notch local lamb. Whiskey Street is a do-not-miss-place in Salt Lake City.

Yelp
This place is a delight! Great history to the building. Dim lighting with good ambience, staff service is friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious and the drinks are a nice pour Enjoy Whiskey Street food menu!
