License to ride: road tripping in Perth - SilverKris

"Western Australia’s oldest chocolate company offers irresistible free samples in a showroom filled with chocolate sculptures and nostalgic confectionery; standouts include a legendary rocky road and salty-sweet chocolate-covered pretzels. Families will appreciate a large grassed area for children to burn off energy while adults relax in the café." - Fleur Bainger

What a fun place to take family and friends. If you don’t love chocolate try their fudge it’s delicate, flavorful, delicious. There is so much to see here. Gift shop is beyond your expectations, including things such as tea, teddies, knits, house hold textiles and soooo sooo much more. The staff were second to none, and fabulous in all areas of the shop. A large area outside for picnics, coffee, chocolate treat. Be sure to walk next door to the great northern distillery - it too was divine!

- Plenty of free parking. - Apart from various chocolate products, it's packed with a lot of inedible souvenirs. There are 2 huge chocolate arts displayed on the right side. Friendly staff. You can ask the front desk staff for tasting (limited flavors) before you buy. Some shelves were empty and hadn't refilled for a while. A free bag if purchase >$100. Resonable prices of chocolate (cheaper than other chocolate company in the same region for same flavors). - Café is inside. Causal setting. Slightly packed indoors. Or outdoor dining, there is a large lawn with a sand pit and toys. Good place for family and large group gatherings. F&B: Simple Brekky and desserts menu. Chocolate fondue is available. Aceptable prices. - Breakfast Wrap,$16.95, served with tomato sauce - Filo Chicken & Mushroom,$16.95: served with Salad (Italian dressing): creamy filling. - Premium Hot Chocolate, $6/Regular: with 2 marshmallows. Very rich but very sweet. Sweeter than usual milk chocolate. - Iced Chocolate, $8.2: with 1 scoop of melting ice cream.

Thouroughly enjoyed my visit. There is a huge selection of chockies, making it a great place to stock up for self preservation (if you are a chocolate addict as myself) or to take for your overseas trip as unique WA gifts. Alternatively take your visitors to enjoy the sweet side of life which they are sure to enjoy.

Cafe was lovely. Staff were great and the food was tasty. Huge outdoor grass area for the kids to play. No playground but there is lots of bikes, buckets and spades for the kids to play with in the huge sand pit. Plenty of free parking and bonus free chocolate tasting 😏

Whistler’s Chocolate Company & Cafe is a delightful gem for chocolate lovers and food enthusiasts alike. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted by the warm aroma of handcrafted chocolate and a welcoming ambiance that blends rustic charm with modern comfort. The highlight, of course, is their extensive range of chocolates—everything from creamy milk chocolate to bold dark varieties, all made with premium ingredients. Their novelty flavors and creative combinations add an exciting twist, ensuring there’s something for every palate. The cafe is equally impressive, offering a delicious menu of light bites, hearty meals, and indulgent desserts. Their hot chocolate is a must-try—rich, velvety, and perfectly satisfying. Pair it with one of their freshly baked pastries or cakes for a truly decadent experience. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to share insights about the chocolate-making process or recommend their personal favorites. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick treat, stocking up on gifts, or enjoying a leisurely meal, Whistler’s offers a memorable experience that’s worth every visit. A perfect destination for families, couples, or anyone with a sweet tooth. Highly recommended! Feel free to customize this further depending on your specific experience or preferences!

During our trip to Swan Valley, we visited Whistler’s Chocolate Company and Café, and it was a delightful experience. The shop offers a wide variety of chocolates with different cacao levels and unique, creative shapes. A standout feature was the impressive chocolate castle, which added a magical touch to the visit. Outside, there’s a cozy seating area where you can enjoy some light food, and a spacious play area for kids, making it perfect for families. It’s a must-visit spot in Swan Valley for chocolate lovers and those seeking a fun and relaxing outing. Highly recommended!

Whistler’s is aesthetically pleasing and gorgeously decorated. I thought the heart-shaped chocolates were adorable, so I couldn’t help but buy them. My friend and I also ordered iced chocolate drinks from the cafe, but they were overwhelmingly sweet, and we could barely take a few sips. We were not fond of the drinks, and not sure if it was meant to be that sweet. As for the hot chocolate I got from Whistler's, it was smooth but not rich. It’s more suited for people who prefer a milder chocolate flavour.

Recently visited Whistlers Chocolate Company. It was a well presented store with a range of chocolate and gifts. Upon closer inspection though, the gifts need a thorough dusting as it looks like they've been sitting there for weeks. As I wondered through, I did some tastings. The chocolate was nice but not outstanding, especially for the price. I noticed one staff member doing the icecream and tastings while three other members of staff stood in a corner chatting and on their phones. It was at a very busy time when customers were waiting to be served. All in all, I'd say the aesthetic is pleasant, there's a nice cafe to sit and have a coffee and space for children to run around. The vibe would be so much nicer if the staff were more pleasant and at least looked like they were enjoying their jobs

Yelp
What a wonderful setting to bring a young family. The kids have a huge space to play and explore and there's plenty of chairs and tables for parents to sit and chat the afternoon away. Such a shame that it ends there. After ordering an afternoon snack of sandwiches and fish and chips with coffee we were presented with tiny portions for the price charged, the coffee was Luke warm. We then decided to soldier on and try the tea and scones. Similar experience. Rubbery scones and cheap tea. I don't mind small portions but it has to be really good quality. This is simply a rip off. Shame because they have the bones of an amazing setting and location. It could have been exceptional. At least the show room full of chocolate is enjoyable to walk around. C- WONT BE BACK

Yelp
It's a little dangerous to have Whistlers practically down the road from me. One weekend, I went there 3 times! Ample parking and plenty of space to manoeuvre inside the building. The array of sweets and treats on offer is every chocolate lovers dream. I'm a big fan of the dark chocolate buttons in an old school type milk bottle. Only $14.95 and you can recycle the bottle too. Why not turn it into a candle holder! Highly recommend dining in the cafe too!

Yelp
Visited on a Tuesday afternoon and the place was tranquil. Had a cuppa Hot Chocolate (obviously!) at the cafe and it was great - right amounts of milk and cocoa, chocolatey yet not too sweet. Store was nicely lined with a decent variety of chocolates though limited samples available. Pricing moderate. Staff approachable. Parking easy.

Yelp
These guys don't get much crowd as compared to MRCF on the other side of the valley but still do very similar products and we are glad we went to this place too. There's a wide variety of chocolate products available and very similar pricing to MRCF. Less crowd makes it a lot more fun to visit and parking was smooth. They have a nice cafe and food options are amazing too.

Yelp
Having been many times before to the Margaret River Chocolate Factory, I decided to check this place out instead. And I'm happy I did because it was lovely. There's a wide variety of chocolate and lollies all reasonably priced. Plus it was a lot less busy than the MRCF. Will definitely visit again.

Yelp
Have visited Whistlers on three separate occasions now. Once for morning tea with friends over from Melbourne, and other times with kids to taste and buy chocolate. The first time we visited there were no samples, so a little disappointing, however our most recent visit on Sunday, we got to try 4 varieties, of which we purchSed 2, along with the obligatory chocolate coated peanut brittle. Much better venue now than a year ago. Lovely staff too.

Yelp
I will review the customer service and the chocolate selection: I love dark chocolate and was excited to see so many dark chocolate varieties. There was dark chocolate with chai spice, cardammon, ginger, hazelnut, burnt caramel, rocky road, orange, turkish delight, some kinda licorice and a whole lot of others I cannot remember. Each variety came singly in one box or bag. With so many choices, I wanted to try them all but was never offered samples. And I certainly could not justify spending 100 dollars on chocolate just to try it. Chocolate that I might not like. I asked if a sampler bag or box was available but was redirected to containers of mixed milk and dark chocolate bites or the tables with the usual dark chocolate varieties. The glass case near the register also had the usual varieties except for dark chocolate with ginger or hazelnut. I tried to explain to the attendant that I was looking for varieties I could not get at home. The attendant seemed annoyed and said "they're all dark chocolate." At that point I gave up because she either did not understand or could not understand that I wanted dark chocolate varieties not available where I live. A friend brought me to Whistlers because she thought it would be a nice treat for a tourist. I was disappointed because there was no way for me to try or buy all of the various dark chocolate combinations without spending a lot of money. In the end, my friend bought me some dark chocolate with chai spice, some with ginger (which I hated) and some with hazelnut. I had hoped to find new dark chocolate combos to take home for myself and as souvenirs but those expectations were quickly squashed by inflexible marketing.
