The Jasper Dark Sky Festival Returns This Fall — Here's How to Plan the Perfect Trip
"The inn offers suite-style accommodations and includes the Whistle Stop Pub, which serves food and drinks and is family-friendly until 9 p.m." - Travel + Leisure Editors
We had booked a room with two queen beds just for a little get-away from Edmonton and were upgraded to a more spacious room with a king-sized bed and a beautiful view of the mountains. They also gave us complementary parking! This, I think, was due to the fact that our daughter had called and ordered champagne & Jasper-made “sweets” for us as a gift. The Manager arranged to purchase those items on her behalf (or have a staff member purchase them) and have them in our room as a special surprise. We enjoyed going in the hot tub on the roof. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was extremely accommodating and very friendly. Would definitely stay there again!

A friend if mine and I went to Jasper for a couple days. It was a fabulous trip. We typically go in the off season so it's not so busy. The hotel was fantastic. Staff were great. Rooms were lovely. The pub produced yummy food. Now why did I give it 1 star? No handicap parking. Brian uses a walker. I had to walk to behind the firehall to park. They have 13 parking spots. Not a one reserved for handicap parking. Oh, I could park on the road they said, but you have to move it every 2 hours between 9 am and 9 pm.

This hotel is right in the centre of Jasper and is an ideal base for exploring the local area but inside it is getting a bit old and in need of a renovation. The young girl at reception didn't really seem to know much of any use when we had occasion to ask her questions and seem reluctant to be of service. She was able to direct us to the car park for the hotel which is actually a public car park 200m away. |The reception area was very dark and gloomy and the rest of the hotel just the same. There are no lifts so we had to lift our cases up the stairs. The corridors creak as you walk along them. Our room was okay but quite old-fashioned. We looked over the main road and were opposite the railway station. We had two double beds which were comfortable enough, nice pillows and duvets. There was a coffee machine - no kettle - and a fridge, table and chairs and a TV. The room was a little cold at night. The bathroom was okay, with a reasonable shower. We were not made aware that there was a hot tub on the roof, or we might have used it.

Basically like an older budget motel, but at much higher prices due to location. Staff when checking in were good and directed me to the parking only a couple minutes walk away. The room was a good size. The bed was comfortable. Whether it was the plumbing or something else, there was a lot of noise at night and in the morning that made it difficult to sleep. The windows were excellent, as I didn't hear the road or trains it overlooked.

Whistler's Inn is in a fabulous location in the heart of Jasper, Alberta, Canada. There was parking available so we were able to leave our car to walk around town. Our room was spacious with a huge fireplace. Loved staying there and going to explore while we were there. Would highly recommend!

Everything was amazing. Perfect location, right in the middle of Jasper town. The reception was so helpful and enthusiastic (he guided us to park our car in detail and carefully). Room was clean, quiet, and AC so cool but sometime noisy (not a big deal). They also have a pub, a restaurant, and 2 hot tubs too. Definitely come back!!!

Made a Reservation in July.||Arrived at Jasper around 8:30 and dropped at The Whistler’s Inn after a long bus ride from Banff on the Brewster Express. We had reservations there I had made back in July.||Up to the desk with our luggage where two young men looked at us with surprise and assured us that all of the guests with reservations had already checked in. Said they were completely full and denied any knowledge of the reservations on my phone. They blamed Agoda and had little sympathy. Passed a list across the desk to us of the other lodgings in town and wished us luck as, as far as they knew, there was nothing left anywhere. ||We frantically began calling but there was absolutely nothing. But then, Eureka, finally found the last room at a hostel just across the street. ||Absolutely no care that we had proof of a reservation and 2 exhausted senior citizens - one with a heart condition - had no place to go despite having made a reservation with them 2 months earlier and had several emails and reservation numbers to prove it. ||We got the last room at the hostel. What would they have done if we had not? Frightening. They could not have cared any less. ||Still working the issue through with Agoda but they maintain the issue was that Whister's sold our room as it is definitely on their system.
