This hotel is right in the centre of Jasper and is an ideal base for exploring the local area but inside it is getting a bit old and in need of a renovation. The young girl at reception didn't really seem to know much of any use when we had occasion to ask her questions and seem reluctant to be of service. She was able to direct us to the car park for the hotel which is actually a public car park 200m away. |The reception area was very dark and gloomy and the rest of the hotel just the same. There are no lifts so we had to lift our cases up the stairs. The corridors creak as you walk along them. Our room was okay but quite old-fashioned. We looked over the main road and were opposite the railway station. We had two double beds which were comfortable enough, nice pillows and duvets. There was a coffee machine - no kettle - and a fridge, table and chairs and a TV. The room was a little cold at night. The bathroom was okay, with a reasonable shower. We were not made aware that there was a hot tub on the roof, or we might have used it.

Arrived at Jasper around 8:30 and dropped at The Whistler’s Inn after a long bus ride from Banff on the Brewster Express. We had reservations there I had made back in July. Up to the desk with our luggage where two young men looked at us with surprise and assured us that all of the guests with reservations had already checked in. Said they were completely full and denied any knowledge of the reservations on my phone. They blamed Agoda and had little sympathy. Passed a list across the desk to us of the other lodgings in town and wished us luck as, as far as they knew, there was nothing left anywhere. We frantically began calling but there was absolutely nothing. But then, Eureka, finally found the last room at a hostel just across the street. Absolutely no care that we had proof of a reservation and 2 exhausted senior citizens - one with a heart condition - had no place to go despite having made a reservation with them 2 months earlier and had several emails and reservation numbers to prove it. We got the last room at the hostel. What would they have done if we had not? Frightening. They could not have cared any less. Still working the issue through with Agoda but they say that the Whistler's Inn sold our room as it is on their system.

Basically like an older budget motel, but at much higher prices due to location. Staff when checking in were good and directed me to the parking only a couple minutes walk away. The room was a good size. The bed was comfortable. Whether it was the plumbing or something else, there was a lot of noise at night and in the morning that made it difficult to sleep. The windows were excellent, as I didn't hear the road or trains it overlooked.

Everything was amazing. Perfect location, right in the middle of Jasper town. The reception was so helpful and enthusiastic (he guided us to park our car in detail and carefully). Room was clean, quiet, and AC so cool but sometime noisy (not a big deal). They also have a pub, a restaurant, and 2 hot tubs too. Definitely come back!!!

This is the best hotel I've stayed in recently. Its right in the center of the town. The hotel doesn't have on-site parking, but we could park 5 min walk away and its fully paid by the hotel. The room is quiet, clean and spacious. The mattress and pillows are also so comfy. AC works great and is very quiet as well. The front desk is so friendly and even helped me heat up my food in the middle of the night. Nothing to complain about and will definitely come back.

I loved the queen beds. They are comfortable. Appreciated the good wi-fi. The location is excellent with so many restaurants and shop nearby. The room was nice and clean. They provided mini shampoo and soap tubes. Shower was good with hot water and good water pressure. We only stayed one night on a group tour. We were happy with their hotel selection. We prepaid for the breakfast at the attached restaurant through the tour company. We got scrambled eggs, bacon and toast. The restaurant staff was kind.

Well located along the end of two main streets Patricia and Connaught Drive. A little dated but a good, pleasant one night stay. Big room, 102, across the road from the train station, but train noise didn’t affect us overnight. Room had two double beds, hairdryer, Air-con which was quite loud, fridge, large tv but we couldn’t get many channels, no safe or iron, a filter coffee maker, no kettle, table and two easy chairs, full length mirror, two very useful luggage storage holders, hangers in an open wardrobe, the smallest and lowest toilet I’ve ever seen, shower over bath. Only one double socket for charging, opposite side to the bed and we could only fit one of our continental adaptors in it. A 6 outlet extension lead was found under the bed in the morning. The hotel has its own eateries and bar, which were busy and plenty of dining options in walking distance too. We would return.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Whistler's Inn. The front desk staff were super friendly and helpful and the room was clean and quaint. The pub is great for late night drinks as well. The rooftop hot tubs were a bonus we did not know about. Definitely would recommend!
