Had a very good four night stay at this hotel in early February. Room was plenty large, updated bathroom. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location is excellent, particularly if you are going in or out by train as the station is immediately across the street. In my particular room, the mattress is probably near the end of it's life. Not terrible, but hopefully they do a regular upgrade cycle and this one is due soon. Would definitely stay again. Public transportation system (buses) is fairly new. Not nearly as good as in Banff, but the drivers were friendly and helpful. I'm assuming it's more comprehensive in summer months, but limited in terms of getting out in to the mountains in winter.

Although the staff were friendly, the room was extremely hot and uncomfortable. They had signs posted on the windows that they couldn’t be opened so you were stuck dealing with the heat. They have cramped as many rooms into a small building as possible. Our neighbours were blocked into their room as soon as we tried to enter our room due to being located at the end of a very small dead end hallway. The bathroom doorway was so small that my 16 year old son could not walk through without hitting his shoulders on the door frame. All of this paired with there being no parking and the office telling you to just park in a 2 hour max zone because “parking isn’t being enforced” makes me rate this hostel like I have. Great for teenagers who have little/no standards and are just backpacking through our beautiful province, but not a place I would suggest any of my family or friends stay. There are FAR better choices in Jasper. 0/10 would not do again. Following the laughable response from the owner it is clear that the review was not taken seriously at all. Parking is just one of the many reasons we checked in and out within 2 hours and left to find better accommodations. They were not hard to find. Be cautious when booking here unless you are into budget motel/hostel accommodations at 4-5 star rates.

My husband and I traveled from Banff, Alberta to Jasper to pick up the Via Rail the next morning. The hotel is located directly across the street from the train station. We arrived around 7 PM very tired and hungry from our four hour trip. We were pleasantly surprised that the hotel was connected to Cassios, an Italian restaurant. (I will write a separate review for that since it was excellent.)|Our room was large, very well-maintained with a good sized bathroom with all the amenities. It was a perfect place to stay for the night. When we checked out the next morning, we asked if someone could help us down the steps with our luggage. The gentlemen at the desk, not only carried our bags down the steps, but was kind enough to bring them across the street to the train station. Talk about going above and beyond! I would highly recommend Whistler’s Inn and it’s staff.

Having rescheduled a visit to Jasper a little over two months since the fire, this was always going to be much stranger than in the past. However, my stay was everything I wanted and the hotel felt very much an independently run one as opposed to the numerous chains I had used over the last few weeks. Check in was straight forward. My room was two Queen sized beds and comfortably furnished. Coffee machine and everything in the bathroom was in good condition.

Maricel was extraordinary. She was able to accommodate our needs promptly and was helpful in her guidance of the hotel and town. The hotel was cozy and central. Easy to walk on either of the main strips at all hours.

Had a wonderful stay, beds were comfy and clean. The shower sucked but that's most hotels. But we had a nice view, the staff were helpful and kind.

Good location in Town. Restaurants, cafes, convenience/ grocery stores all a short walk. |Although many shops and businesses are still closed from the fires, there is plenty open to accommodate. |This is a Basic hotel, but spacious rooms & Comfy beds. Pub / hotel & Resturant on ground level. Hot tub on roof top is nice, although view isn’t much at the moment due to all the fire damaged forest. |Hotel is old with thin walls, ceiling & doors so if you have noisy people next door or above, you can hear them, along with room doors closing loudly, Otherwise it’s pot luck if you get noise or not. My husband & I stayed 2 nights and had good sleep although lots of noise from others woke us, it was reasonable timing in the Morning. |There is car parking, but very minimal so you need to book it in advance.

While the building itself is grand, it’s an old one. We stayed for two nights in early June. The rooms were decent in terms of size and facilities. The location is its USP. It has a nice hot tub on terrace with views of the mountains. We loved the stay, overall.
